This diet is one of the hardest things I have ever done. It takes a lot of time, patience, and work. I have had the program since June but have only been on it a total of 4 weeks since receiving it. I go off and on because it's so restrictive BUT boy does it WORK!!! The first time I went on the diet I lost 13lbs and 7lbs the second week. The second time I went back on it I lost 15 more lbs and 6lbs the second week. I'm having trouble staying on it but I can't say in any way shape or form that it does not work. I was charged exactly what I was told, I ordered it online and was never wrangled into buying anything I didn't want, and I haven't had a need to call customer service. If you are ready to make some serious changes, this diet will work for you, but if you're not you're going to waste you're money. Losing weight is never easy.

Hi everyone! I started the diet on November 20. It is now December 13. I have lost 25 pounds! I am so happy! I still have a long way to go. I have a total of 100 pounds to loose...well now, I have 75 pounds to go! I am a type A. This diet is quite bland, let\'s face it. There is no dairy, no salt and not much taste. Sometimes, I am not hungry, but I still eat what is required. I felt very light-headed when I stood up in the beginning. I have not started the exercise yet. It is just too much for me right now. I will do the walking and then work on the sculpting. This diet made me realize that I used copious amounts of salt and fat for no reason. I am starting to taste my food now. I am really happy with myself. I am sticking to it even though it is really hard! I am making an exception for dec 24 and dec 25! Have a great day, everyone! Cynthia from Montreal, Canada

Very hardcore, professional body builders eat this way because 80+% of fitness progress comes from nutrition and this program is the BEST for clean foods and the fastest results. My dad (in his 60\'s) wasn\'t willing to be as hardcore so he does the Abs Diet (a $15 book and fun read). I use other workout programs instead of the one included (initially used Abs Diet and currently P90X -ouch but great way to break a plateu). If you can make your goal to commit to the program, it will work. I am a fitness junky now having lost 15% body fat because of the education I got from this program. I now use a professional trainer, P90X, Abs Diet and and Burn the Fat Feed the Muscle to stay motivated and challenged. All of them work on the same concept, protein every three hours, good carbs and clean foods. I eat very tasty, exciting stuff, granted not salty and fatty as I use to but taste changes with your diet. If you can see food for what it really is (fuel), this will work if you work. The concept is very simple but succeeding at it is not easy. Pro\'s of the program + that you will get a good education on nutrition (I read the book when traveling and listen to the cd\'s when jogging to keep motivate) + very clean diet yield fast results + portion size is spelled out well Con\'s - workout is a bit weak, recommend more muscles being worked - pricey if you don\'t take advantage of all the reading, listening and cooking tips - you may feel sick (headaches) as you start eating cleaner, I did and my hair thinned for a few months, after that I felt super - requires dedication, if you don\'t have it, don\'t buy it and I mean that sincerely. Plan on buying lots of fish/poultry, cooking in bulk and using paper plates to save on having to do a ton of dishes. You will be eating A LOT - it blew me away how much I had to eat to lose body fat. Those who don\'t succeed fail themselves, the program is sound.

I've read the complaints and I find them to be childish...if you are not ready to change your life, which is what it is going to take to change your weight, then don't bother! This is about educating people about good nutrition and the restrictive diet helps you learn what foods work good for you and what foods don't. I thought I ate pretty healthy and was only interested in losing about 20-25 lbs, gained as a result of age and motherhood. I have learned so much and it has really improved my life. I now know what foods are good for ME and what foods aren't strictly because of this "diet". I have learned that I shouldn't eat dairy and it has terrible affects on my system, but didn't recognize this until I eliminated dairy from my diet and then brought it back in. Well, come on people, it is only 6 weeks or so (8 weeks for me to loose 27 lbs....what I decided based upon how I looked). I did cheat a bit here and there and it wasn't a castrophy, but probably did lengthen the time it took to lose the weight. I feel GREAT! It takes some discipline but it is so worth it to take control of yourself and improve your health. The health benefit has been huge; medications I was taken regularly, I don't have to take anymore because I am fine! Cholesterol levels are now great and they were borderline, had fatigue, forgetfulness, migraines, terrible PMS, and now that is ALL gone, and I have had these problems for 10 years!!! Change requires effort...plan and simple. This program is great because it teaches you how to manage your health and your weight for life! You use only fresh, wholesome food, like in the old days! I was NEVER hungry. I still eat pretty close to the original program, mostly because I feel soooo much better when I do! For Thanksgiving I ate a little bit of everything, but tried to maintain the ratios of protein, carbs, veggies, fruit I've been eating and even had apple pie with a small scoop of ice cream...I only gained less than a pound. I had chips and guacamole, chips and onion dip (low fat), deviled eggs, turkey, potatoes au graten, pasta salad, green salad w/ raspberry vineagrette dressing, dinner roll, and wine, plus scrambled eggs and oatmeal with strawberries for breakfast. Now this isn't normal on diet food, but I was fine and mostly because my body is more efficient and using food. The exercises are easy, in my mind, but I have worked out for about 20 years. I'll be 40 in February. When I started this program I wore a size 12, I'm 5'9 and weighed 175. I currently weigh 148 and I'm a size 6, and some of those close are loose. You can do this, and for me, just having the success so quickly (6 lbs. in 1st week), and feeling so much better, was motivation enough, but the clencher was, when I cheated I physically felt different or even bad...it was not psychological guilt; it was physiologic. I'm soooo greatful to Michael Thurmond for putting this program together!

This product has changed my life! I was a bit overwhelmed like everyone else with the original packaging that arrived, but this one CD said DO THIS FIRST. It said to just start with the food program and that is what I did. (by the way I am a night shift Emergency Room nurse and no diet has ever been formulated for that stressor)
I lost 15 lbs the first week! I have been on every diet in the book or on a blog, but this was amazing. I lost 35 lbs in 6 weeks. My complaints are that some of the recipes are not tasty...I designed my own or searched their website for ones I enjoyed. If I give in to my cravings and eat a pint of Ben and Jerry's ice cream I get incredibly painful diarrhea. I am eating low fat, low sodium HEALTHY food now every 2.5 hours. More than I ate before. I am never hungry. My moods are more stabilized with this plan. No more rollercoasterof emotions when I medicate myself with sugar or chocolate. (Ladies, you know what I'm talking about) Yes, it takes some organization. I cook once a week and freeze the food I enjoy eating in small containers. I have a purpose in the grocery store now. I don't sit in fast food drives anymore. I have to admit I have not started the "excrecise" portion but am starting that this week. Any excercise is very intimidating to me because of my weight and "clutz-factor" in the gym. (Bad P.E. flash backs from junior high and not getting close to passing the presidential physical fitnes challenge...god that thing always humiliated me.) I hope this input helps. I am more active, eating healthy and my body is changing! And by the way, I love the subliminal CD'S!

I am sorry you all have had such a bad experience with the 6WBMO customer service dept. Luckily (I guess from your stories) I purchased 2 sets for a co-worker and I, [] at half the price as the original. She and I have been following the plan with great results for the past 5 months and each have lost about 50 lbs. The most important thing is how we feel. Full of energy, and she even was able to be removed (by her physician), from her hypertension medication! I think the program is definately not for wimps... it is hard work.. but it works!

I used only the meal plan in this diet by mapping my body type, and eating what was recommended. I did do some substitutions and still lost weight. I did use soy milk, low fat low cal dressing, and plain cherrios instead of oatmeal. This diet was delicious. I bought all Mrs. Dash flavors and cooked fresh fish, shrimp, and chicken. I was never hungry and with the Mrs. Dash all of the food tasted great. In fact after the diet I could not stand eating salty food. I craved less sweets. And let me tell you that I have no will power but with this diet you don't have to have it because you don't crave the bad stuff. I lost weight even after I was off the diet for 3 weeks. It really does change your metabolism. Yes the eating does take up a lot of time, and this diet is hard if you have a busy life, but it can still be done. I had co-workers that were jealous of all the yummy food that I was "dieting" with. They all wanted to share my shrimp and rice. If you are serious about loosing weight this is a great diet that actually makes sense and works.

OK...I must speak up! To all the whiners out there, I say...grow up and take responsibility for your actions. You ordered the program because something in it resonated with you. Yes, it is restrictive. Hello...it's a DIET. It requires DISCIPLINE and FOLLOW-THROUGH to see results. So...even though I have only been following the program for a week, I've committed myself to it and feel it is a sensible, very healthy way to lose those unwanted pounds that all the sugar and salt and junk foods (yes, you have to give those all up...what a surprise!) piled upon me...and you, I daresay, or else why are we here to begin with? Not only do I not have a single complaint...I am very happy with this and feel I have finally found something that is not only infinitely workable, but that works for me. I am already seeing results. Scam? After he's been around for several years? Not.

Customer service reps can be as rude as they want--I don't care, as long as I never have to see another size 16 in my closet. I've been on this program for only a few weeks and look and feel amazing! I think many people expect it to be easy, and when they realize the diet is restrictive, they throw up their hands and say it's "a scam". Not to be harsh, but if this is your mindset, you're going to be fat for the rest of your life. The ones that work are never easy and the ones that are too easy never work.

I wholeheartedly will stand by this product. It only cost a total of 150 dollars ( I also ordered the cookbook.) I started the diet for 4 days and lost 7 lbs... then I went off the diet for 3 weeks and still continued to lose weight. Then I got back on the diet for a week and then had to go off it (due to unforseeable circumstances) however, I stuck to whatever of it I could for the next few weeks, and I lost another 13 lbs. Now it\'s been a month and I\'m getting back into it again, and in that month I havn\'t gained a pound. It\'s great. If you go to their recipe exchange there are some really good foods in there that are totally on plan. Also, now, if I eat takeout from anywhere, I get sick to my stomach, it\'s because my body is used to healthy foods, not greasy, fattening ones now. Great Job Michael!!! Oh.... and it states out that you WILL lose if you follow the plan, which is definatley true :)

Okay, first off, I have read the complaints and they seem to be focused on customer service. I can\\\'t speak to that. I ordered it, paid for it, got it. Secondly, I paid a lot more for my plan...around $250, if I recall correctly. Thirdly, I don\\\'t have a thyroid problem, so I can\\\'t speak to that either. I\\\'m a healthy person. Next, I did not order any supplements or anything other than the plan itself. At the time I was on the plan, I was in my mid-40\\\'s. All of that aside, I\\\'m going to give you a completely honest account of my experience with the plan. Yes, it is a MAJOR pain to set up...it takes time to get your book together. The plan also indicates that the less you vary it, the more successful you will be. My menu varied very LITTLE. I found a few staples that I really liked and stayed with those. I love broccoli, so I ate a LOT of that (besides it\\\'s good for you). I also sauteed skinless chicken breasts in wine, which added a marvelous flavor, and that constitued most of the protein I ate. For the potato, I used potato flakes without butter or milk...seasoned with Mrs. Dash or garlic powder. Those were my preferences. I\\\'m sure you can find some foods that you like and are inside the plan guidelines. I followed it to THE LETTER. The first week I lost 12 lbs. I couldn\\\'t believe it! I was never hungry...I ate approximately every 2 to 2-1/2 hours, 4 to 5 times a day. I did the exercises faithfully. Two weeks into the plan, my mother stopped over and told me I \\\"looked great!\\\". In addition to losing weight, my posture had improved and my tummy was more flat. Because the committment to eat so often and fix the food was so time-consuming and I actually got TIRED of eating so often, I only stayed on the plan 3 weeks. Here\\\'s the thing, though: Even after stopping the plan, because my metabolism had speeded up, I continued to lose weight until I had lost 27 lbs., and kept that weight off about 4 years, even going back to my old junk food habits. Over the last 6 months, since changing jobs, I\\\'ve developed a really bad sugar addiction, however, and have gained back about 12 lbs. I\\\'m as weak-willed as the next person...maybe more so. I\\\'m going to go back on the system...just have to work myself up to the committment and work out the logistics of food preparation, etc. This plan takes a committment of time and effort. Once that committment is made, however, it\\\'s really very easy. I never broke a sweat doing the exercises, and they were effective. You will never look like a body builder: that takes an entirely different committment. The operative word here is committment. Like I said, I can\\\'t speak to customer service problems or health problems, but I can speak to the fact that the plan, if followed to the letter, and you\\\'re a basically healthy person, this plan DOES WORK. I tell everybody about the plan. I say over and over and I\\\'m saying it again. You have to follow the plan! Take the time to set it up...yes, it\\\'s a pain! Don\\\'t skip the meals. Eat what they tell you and how much and how often. Good luck to all, and thanks for reading.

I've read some of the complaints, and it seems too many people are worried about the cost of the program, shipping & handling, than they are about their weight & health. I've never had to deal with customer service, so I have no idea how they handle things, but if you really want to lose weight, this diet works. Yes, it's strict, but it was a godsend for me. I've lost 75 lbs. in 5 months. Gone from a size 26/28 to a 16, and still losing. Don't worry about customer service. Take care of yourself. Go on their forum and read the success stories, ask questions in the newbies section. It works. I plan to be at my goal by Chistmas. Do you?

I have been on the plan for 4 weeks now and have lost 18lbs. I sincerely believe that this product works if you are committed to following the instructions to the T. In fact, I lost 18lbs from just the dieting alone. Imagine how much I would have lost if I followed the exercising portion of the program! Everyone I know keeps commenting on how much I have lost, on how much slimmer I look. People tell me that I look so much more healthier and vibrant than I did before the program. I really believe that this product works and that you just have to have the committment and will to stick it out. I look forward to seeing what my weight is after the 6 weeks is up. I want to add that I have tried other diets and exercises, but when I did not see results as quickly as I wanted to, I gave up. My first week on this program was so hard, but when I saw that I had 9.5lbs, I was inspired to keep going.

I happened upon this site when I did a search on another infomercial unrelated to the 6 week Body Makeover. I decided to search for it here just to see what was said. I was shocked there were so many complaints but delighted at the defences. I too bought the package/program. Several years ago I lost a lot of weight (over 150 lbs.) and swore I would never gain it back. I even had a 10 minute spot (called "Body by Brenda") on the local TV hour morning show in the area I lived in just outside of Vegas. I had been extemely obese before losing the weight and the way I looked and felt was such a gift to me that I shared the no nonsense approach to everyone around me. I talked often about the "mind body" connection in weight loss (or any goal/objective) for that matter. Fast forward - I went through an awful divorce from a dark obsessive, dangerous situation. For my safety I had to quickly leave everything behind leaving many close friends and business associates without even having the luxury of goodbyes. In the aftermath of it: In two years following my departure I did something I couldn't believe - I gained over 100 lbs back. I have been miserable with my lack of energy and dealing with being so overweight again after knowing how it feels to be so fit. It sucks carrying so much weight again! To get my head back in the right place and move forward I ordered Michael Thurmond's program. I know how to lose the weight but I needed to get back there and glean from a true expert in the field. I had heard and seen enough on him to know he was indeed a professional in all areas of weight loss/ fitness and that impressed me. I was/am so impressed with the package I received. It is very thorough with so much real and valid and useable, user friendly information. It deals with all the different crucial components including mindset, nutrition and exercize. There are so many programs that promise so much but do not give the vital tools in a way prople can understand them or use them or don't give them at all! This program greatly impresses me. I would highly recomend it to anyone needing to lose weight for a long term approach to losing their weight and getting fit. There are plenty of band-aid fixes out there, this program is the real deal - buy it and use it. The only people that will complain about this program are those that want a magic solutioin to their problem. Yes there is an answer to obesity and all that goes with it but it isn't an instant magic pill/solution. It isn't hard either by the way it just takes day to day commitment and the right information and this program gives you the right information in the midst of a very confusing world of weight loss. My 10 and a half cents... :)

This product really works!! I saw the infomercial one morning while at home with my second son during my maternity leave from work. I ordered it and it arrived as promised. I received exactly what I purchased and was chrged exactly what had been advertised. At first I put it aside because I was still breastfeeding my baby. When I was done I began the healthy eating program NOT the exercise part of it. Beginning weight at (132 lbs) I lost most of the baby weight to the last 5 lbs. (119 lbs) My little boy is 19 months now and I have started this program both the healthy eating and the exercise part with awsome success. This time I just wanted to loose the 5 lbs (125 lbs)I had gained while visiting my parents all summer long. I also wanted to firm up all the flab that having my second child and loosing weight had left behind. I am now into the second week of the program and have already lost 4 lbs. and most of the ugly flab around my waist and stomach area. My goal is to trim up like before children (116 lbs) and surprise my husband when he returns from the war. This program requires a whole lot of dedication and food preparation. I enjoy all the yummy recipes I have prepared. Most of all I am enjoying not having to hold my breath while in public so that the flab will not hang over jeans, shorts. It's almost gone and although the eating part really helps you loose the weight the exercise part really gives you the body you once had or desire. This program REALLY works!!!!

People are taking this the wrong way, All diet requires you to have the right mindset. If you are going to be 100% committed to a diet, you don't worry about the cost of shipping. I have no thyroids at all, were removed due to goiters, so I went on a diet and exercised 4 times a week, I lost 22 lbs and not only did i lose weight, I was'nt even taking my thyroid medicine like i was suppose to and (this is not recommended at ALL). My tsh level was 6.2, way below 13 that it is suppose to be. I lost weight because i was determined and did not let anything stop me. I ordered online and did not receive any extra charges and shipping was $19.99. So have your mind made up first before ordering any diet plan, whether online or any where, either way dieting is not cheap. You have to eat healthy, and that cost.

I believe this is a good product. It is a bit excessive to receive the parts that don't pertain to your body type, but then share it with a friend who has a different type! I didn't have to deal with customer service so I have no comment on that, but mostly what I read about in the complaints section tells me that many people are just too lazy and want some kind of "magic". This system takes a lot of work and dedication and creativity in compiling meals, I'll give it that, but the pay off is wonderful. No, it's not some super "secret" finally revealed, it is, I believe, meant to inspire. All you really need to do in order to loose weight in general is make healthy food choices, eat several times a day (which doesn't have to be a huge production, just enough to keep your metabalism going) and exercise. This system, the putting it together and reading all the info, is good for the lay person and is just a means of getting you involved, inspired. Most people are just looking for a quick fix. You can't loose weight sitting on your butt eating baked lay's and drinking diet soda, just because that's better than what you chose before. You have to make conscious choices, it's a life style more than a "diet". If you are really serious about taking your life and your health into your own hands and being in control, this is a tool that will help you. Like I said earlier, the idea he is getting across here is that you have to feed your body on a regular basis throughout the day and make healthy choices when doing so. There are many systems of this nature out there and this style in general should work for just about anyone. The truth is you don't really need to "purchase" a "system" at all. Thurman just put it together his way to inspire the lay person who wants to take control of themselves. My advice, if your not serious about putting forth the effort it takes to truly loose weight the correct, healthy way, don't waste your time or money on this or any other system. But if you are willing, I believe you will find success with a system of this nature.

Anyway, thanks to Michael Thurmond, I have lost 18 lbs. in just 3 & 1/2 weeks and during this time, I had a hysterectomy, and have not been able to do the exercises for 2 weeks ~ STILL LOSING! It\'s the most wonderful diet ever. I do NOT, for the first time being on a diet, go to the pantry looking for crackers and sweets. I am totally satisfied and nurished. I also noticed that my skin is not dry anymore, thanks to the water you must drink. Love that, too! I would tell the world how great this program is! The food is not a problem once you get into the swing of things. I don\'t go anywhere without packing my cooler with all of my food for the day, just incase. If you are at all skeptical, don\'t be!
