I've been a Bare Minerals user for about two years now. When I first started out with Bare Minerals, I had horrible excema all over my face. I was a scabby, bleeding/weepy, swelled-up mess. I assumed I would never be able to wear makeup and...well...I'd always be ugly because of the way my face looked. When I caved and bought a Bare Minerals infomercial kit, I just wanted something that wasn't going to further aggravate my excema, plus would cover up the rashes on my face so I didn't look like I'd been in a bad fight or something. That was it. But Bare Minerals gave me so much more than that. Bare Minerals makes no promises about helping people like me, but it did so much more for me than I thought it would. The minerals in the powders helped keep my face calm, so it wasn't so quick to start itching on me. It gave my skin a chance to heal. Now my excema is almost totally gone. I do have some other blemishes to hide--mostly acne scars and just a little bit of leftover excema-related blemishes near the apples of either of my cheeks. But that's it. About covering up blemishes...it's not explained in the infomercial, but I've seen Leslie Blodgett (CEO of Bare Minerals) do this on live presentations on [], which also offers this makeup. It helps to press the concealing brush into the minerals but *not* swirl or tap, then dab the minerals directly on the blemishes instead of actually brushing/buffing them in. If worse comes to worse, you could even get away with using your finger to start with--press your fingertip into the minerals, directly apply them to your face, then use the concealing brush to soften the edges out so it blends in with the rest of your skin. Also--if you don't happen to have any acne creams, any of the Bare Minerals powders makes a *great* quick overnight fix for pimples. Just apply the powder directly to your acne with your finger--*not* with a brush. Let that sit overnight, and by the time you wake up in the morning, that pimple will either be gone or much smaller than it was a few hours ago. I don't know if it's really the minerals that's responsible for this, or if it's just the fact that the powder's helping the pimple dry itself out because it's powder, but it works. I love Bare Minerals, and their makeup line is an *excellent* product. I know that this might not work with everyone, but it works for me, and I'm very loyal to this brand. I wouldn't dare putting anything else on my face. I owe a great debt to this company, and to Leslie Blodgett, for helping me. I never would've imagined, with my horrible, uber-sensitive skin, that I'd be able to wear makeup at all. It's just that there's a learning curve involved with using this product. If you use too much, your skin will most likely come out looking dry and flaky and will even make fine lines or wrinkles stand out--not what anyone wants, especially when Bare Minerals promises to *reduce* signs of aging. Also--if you participate in the beauty club and you're using up those jars of foundation and Mineral Veil before your 3 (?) months are up, you're using way too much powder per application. WAY too much. I had to quit the Bare Minerals beauty club because I had all these jars of minerals piling up and it was becoming a waste of my money because they were being too generous with what they were giving me. Even when I tried pushing the "subscription" out to 6 months, it wasn't good enough--it took me the better part of a year to finish just one shipment of minerals. So be careful of that too. Personally, I suggest that you get your replacement minerals as you need them--just go to an [] or [] to pick them up. Anyway. All in all--just be patient and realize that you have to learn how to use the minerals properly first. If it still doesn't work for you for whatever reason, fine--just don't bash this company because it's not trying to scam anyone. It's a legitimate company that makes high-quality, legitimate products. This company's been around since the 70's, if I remember correctly--it's definitely NOT a fly-by-night operation. And please don't bash the product, either. Just because it might not work for everyone, it doesn't suddenly mean that it's a fraudulent product. It worked for me. It did so much more for me than I expected it would. I'm very thankful for what it's done for me. --Theresa

I have really enjoyed the mineral foundation. I have used it for over a year and could not be happier with it. I just have one suggestion, don't order the kit with the automatic shipments, I didn't. When I first saw it online I went straight to [] to buy the foundation alone for about 20 bucks, tried it and loved it and have ordered more since. Always pay attention to the foundation gram weight, it does make a big difference. The biggest size can last me 6 months (and I pay about 25 bucks for it []). I thinks it's .9 grams, not the small .03 often marketed to get you to keep spending every month. As for the coverage I can cover as much as I want. If I lay on more powder I get more coverage and it really does cover up imperfections. I love it!!!

Leeza Gibbons does not sell Bare Minerals. Her informercial is for Sheer Cover, a different product. I bought Bare Minerals through the infomercial. They did not automatically sign me up for the club. They asked (and yes, pressured) me if I wanted to join, but I said no. I am still using the blush from that shipment. It lasts forever. The foundation and mineral veil last a long time too. The infomercial deal is definitely better than buying each product plus the brushes separately. I have recommended Bare Minerals to several people who have then become loyal users. There is a Bare Escentuals store at my local mall, so I don't have to buy my refills online, but I'm glad I bought their infomercial intro package. Bare Minerals is also available at [] stores and [].

I am very careful about what I put on my face and most of the time I dont wear make up at all because of the crap in it. I grew up in a household that uses foundation that leaves marks on your face and feels like a mask. I actually sleep in my Bare Minerals make up and I dont even have a blemish on my face. If I did that with a foundation I would have zits galore. I swear by Bare Minerals and it is one of the best buys I have purchased off an infomercial and I cant say that about too many of them. When I run out of my Bare Minerals I run down to Ulta to pick up a replacement when I dont have time to buy it off the website. I recommend this product to my friends and family and I used Clinique before this product because it wasnt as harsh as other make ups but now Bare Minerals is my number one choice.

I've ordered Bare Minerals directly from their site. I've done that since the seeing the infomercial for the first time. I also went online to read reviews of the products and made my decision on what was said. On their site they even mention that the makeup is measured prior to shippng and due to the weight differences in different metals, not all way the same so by the time it gets to the consumer, the product has settled and is more likely a different measurement compared to prior to shipping. As for the makeup itself, its the first time I've been able to put makeup on in the morning and by evening its still there and not miracously evaporated from my face. Its so light that I forget that its on. I also found that in Ulta stores that they sell them there too. If you have an Ulta store near you and you want to try them or have a clerk help you find a good match for your skin (which helped for my mother in law) then I strongly advise going there.
