I have been using BM for about two years. I am a 15-year cancer survivor with still-active cancer. This requires me to take a number of medications every day that are hard on the skin. I found this very discouraging for the first 13 years of my cancer as I couldn't find any good makeup to help cover my haggard look. My daughter suggested BM and I bought it at a wholistic pharmacy. I love the product and it takes many years off my looks when I use it. Like all products, however, there may be some who just can't use the product. I certainly would never buy it through the mail. Makeup needs to be tried before purchasing just as shoes should be tried for fit and comfort before buying.

I have been using Bare Minerals for a couple of month now. I decided to try after watching the infomercial a couple of time now and then. I am a hard sell. I don't like to spend money on just anything unless it works and I like it.
I ordered the started kit from [] for $60. I have to say that I really like it. Its light and airy and it doesn't feel like you are wearing makeup. I hate makeup. But I am getting older now and I need something to conceal this skin of mine. It matches really well that you almost can't see it. It doesn't come off on my clothing. And it makes my skin feel smooth.
To comment on some complaints about reactions. I heard someone say that its not for everyone. And its not. I read in a news article that people who are allergic to SPFs or sunscreen will be allergic to any mineral makeup. Whether it be Bare Mineral or Sheer Cover. Any type like that will cause an skin reaction. So if you are having problems then you need to stop using that and sunscreen. Just a note that.

I have been using bare minerals for 4 years and love it! I am not a makeup person, and as I get older, and need a little help it has been great. I love the coverage I get. I can make it as light or heavy as i choose. I have since passed it on to my teenage daughter. She had minor acne and uses the viel everyday. It soaks up any oils on her skin, and protects her face. She looks natural, but is now comfortable with her skin I am so glad it is in stores around us now. I recommend it to everyone

I love this stuff! I have been using it for about a year, and it's the best makeup I have ever used and I have tried many kinds. It does not break out my sensitive skin. I even sleep in the stuff. I always get free gifts with my orders. My brushes are high quality. My skin looks younger. It conceals my flaws but looks perfectly natural. I can't say enough good things about this stuff!

I would first like to preface this defense with some common knowledge from a retail seller to consumers: NOTHING IS PERFECT. There is no perfect system of ordering. There are no absolute guarantees that everyone is going to love everything. So before you accuse any company of greed or scam, please take a second and remember they are trying to make a living! They need a house, they need food, they pay taxes. Another thing: the customer services reps that you speak to are not at fault! They do not make the product, they just sit at their desk all day taking phone calls from irrational customers because that irrational customer decided not to read the fine print or ask any questions. These companies set up policies and procedures for a reason and all the customer service rep can to is follow!!! Just like a retail sales consultant! We follow procedures! Now, I'm a customer-facing sales rep so appearance is one crucial key to helping customers feel at ease. I've been using this product for about 2 years now. I have a few blemishes here and there but thank the heavens for this product it makes my face look fabulous! I dated a boy for a while and the first time I let him see me without make-up, he said I looked like a totally different person. (He later apologized!) I have recieved one bad brush before, but like I stated before, nothing is perfect! I called in and told them the situation and they happily replaced the brush for me. This product is not for everyone because everyone's chemical make-up is different. For example, my mother can use those cheap products from the store with harsher chemicals and such, while I cannot. They make my skin irritable and break out. It's going to be different for everyone. BM is going to work for some and not for others. If you're complaining about the ordering system, please do not "dog" on the product itself. If it works for someone who has had a hard time finding make-up that really makes their skin look better, like me, then it is worth the money! I strongly suggest the feather brush and mineral veil to finish off your perfect look!

I LOVE this product. I am reading some of these reports. This is the greatest product. Maybe you aren't putting it on correctly, take your time. It took me a couple of tries and I would NEVER go back to any ohter brand. I have been using this product for 7 years! The brushes are the greatest. My blemishes are all gone, no more acne, smooth finish. So people, stop your whinning and give the product a "true" shot!

I too have used this product for about 5 years and love it! The brushes DO NOT fall apart and feel great! And it does cover everything! I have severe acne and it coveres acne and the scars and actually helped clear me up!

I read a lot of the complaints on this product and had to post my story. I have been using BM for about a month and absolutely love it. I buy it in a retail store, not through their auto-ship program, which a lot of people are complaining about, because I learned the hard way about those programs from buying other products over the phone. Almost every company does this. You get automatically billed and a shipped every month unless you cancel. Read the fine print, people. As for the make-up, it is NOT for everyone, even if the infomercial says it is. The sales girl as the store I purchased it from actually gave me a free makeup job and told me to come back and let me know if I liked it and then she would sell it to me, because she plainly said it's not for everyone. Just like no skin care product is. So people who are complaining about the burning or breaking out, its just probably not for you. I love BM and I have never had a problem with it. People complaining about not enough or too much coverage are either not applying it correctly (using too much or too little) or again, this make-up just isn't for their skin. I have dry sensitive skin, and BM evens out my skin tone, covers the redness, and my minimal pores around my nose are gone. I have always have monthly breakouts around my chin and jawline from my period, and that has actually gotten a bit better after I started using this product. I would recommend everyone to TRY it first before buying it. Unfortunately, if you dont have a store near you that sells it, you are at the mercy of the shipping program. All in all, this is a great product for me.

I had been seeing the infomercials for BM. I have always had a problem finding make-up that works well with my skin. I went to a mall and found BM in a reputable make-up store and bought it. When I first tried it, I didn't really like it. However, I now wear BM all the time and I love it. It isn't thick like liquid make-up and it does look really natural. I think that the trick is to know how to apply it. I didn't at first, but now I do and like I said, I love it. People always say how good my skin looks when I wear it. The problem is not with the make-up but with the quality of service when you order on the phone or online and the fact that some people may be allergic to BM.

I have used Bare Escentuals now for 3 years. I absolutely love it. Before Bare Escentuals, I had drawers full of makeup, now it all fits in one small case. I actually had a nationally known plastic surgeon tell me I had "fabulous skin". She now uses Bare Escentuals, too. I have never signed up for the automatic shipments, I buy local or through Sephora. It would be a bargain at twice the price - my skin has improved that much over the last few years!!! I'm 52 and everyone says I don't look it. Thanks, Bare Escentuals!!!

Please notice that there are 4 pages of defense and only 3 pages of "complaints" and 48 complaints is not alot! Many people are complaining about the practice of auto-delivery. If that is the problem, you should ask for your money back via email to BE and if you don't get it back, send a complaint to the BBB. it's a simple process and most reputable companies will end up giving you waht you want. You should also state in your email that you will contact the BBB if it is not resolved to your satisfaction. With that being said, I love Bare Minerals. I am 41 and never wore makeup, hated foundation and was in the sun for way too long without protection. My skin started looking really rough and thick with age spots cropping up all over. I tried my mom's Bare Minerals 2 years ago and liked it so I bought the kit at []. LOVE it. My skin looks great. Whenever I choose to put it on, someone will say "You look great." Im not kidding. I love the way I look, I love the way it feels, I do sleep in it, my skin has improved since I started using it and basically, everything I see on the infomercial is true for me.

I started using Murad care products, and Bare Mineral make up at the same time. The results have been amazing. I love the makeup! It\\\'s soft, easy to use, and while I can\\\'t really cover all my scars, I know after 6 months or so they will heal and I will be able to cover them. I wish it was a public company and I would buy stock in it! I have not had any side effects, and it stays on all day. I feel ok sleeping in it if I happen to fall asleep on the couch after a long day. I\\\'ve been using it for 2 weeks now and my cystic acne has pretty much cleared up. I don\\\'t think I\\\'ve had a week in my life with out some giant cyst ruining my complexion! I\\\'ll never use any other make up again!

I love Bare Minerals. I\'ve been using it for almost 2 years now. I basically only use their products now and I am defnitely a MAKEUP girl. I can have a natural look or go full on glam if I want. My suggestion to everyone who complains that it wears off too easily is to use the primer! I just started using it after seeing it on QVC (also a great way to get a good price) and it really makes everything last longer - especially on the eyes - and it fills in fine lines and creases so the powder doesn\'t cake in. Some of it could be not applying it right. Keep practicing and get their primer!

After seeing Bare Minerals advertised on TV for a few months, I finally ordered. I've never used alot of make up because I hate to look "made up" and it just takes too much time. I love, love this product. It is natural looking, like it's my own fabulous bare skin with a dewy, youthful glow, and I'm 42 years old. My skin is really dry, and I have no problem using Bare Minerals and it looks great. It does not settle in my fine lines, it does not rub off on my clothes or anything else, it does last all day and I do sleep in it. The only issue I've had is that the auto shipments were building up, so I called and suspened my shipments, no problem, wonderful customer service. It's worth the money because it lasts for months as it doesn't take much to look great. It's very quick to apply and my makeup is done in 5 minutes or less. This is a wonderful product and I highly recommend it.

If you are experiencing itchyness from the makeup, it can be from a few things - one, if you are wet from perspiration, rain, or oilyness, apply mineral veil to the area where you are feeling the itch. The minerals tend to shift as they never penetrate the skin, causing an itchiness. In my case, the kabuki brush makes me itchy and I use the maximum coverage face brush (like the maximum coverage concealer brush, but much bigger) to apply my foundation. When I use the natural goat hair kabuki brush, my face gets red and itchy - and stays red for a few hours. This is often attributed to ingredients in the minerals, but if it doesn't happen with the makeup and a synthetic brush, I would tend to disagree with that assessment. The maximum coverage face brush is available on the [] website (not []) as a single item purchase with no additional shipments required. good luck with it. it is a wonderful product that really works well. using this brush will also help anyone that needs additional coverage as it covers even more than the kabuki brush.

I love this product. It may seem hard to apply at first but once you get a hang of it, you can do it without a mirror. I have the foundation, lipgloss, eye shadow, bronzer, and well-rested. I have never been disappointed with any product. But, you need to be in the store when you buy it.

I absolutely love Bare Minerals, and have been using it for several years. I agree with earlier posts that the people who don't like it, aren't apply it correctly. The other problem may be they are applying the wrong color for their skin...if it's totally the wrong color, you could definetly look gross! I have slightly problematic skin, and Bare Minerals has always worked great for me. I won't use anything else!!
