First, I love Bare Minerals, it does everything it says for me. It does claim it won't come off when you sweat, and this is true for me. I sweat often during the day (and get rained on, yay Seattle) and the makeup is in the same place when the sweat dries. So yeah, it doesn't run steaking down your face like some other foundations do. However, I'd never expect anything to last after a sweaty workout and being rubbed with a TOWEL! I'd be frightened by a product that couldn't be removed with the equivalent of a wet washcloth. Seriously now.

I am a 26 year old redhead with fair skin and freckles. I love the Fairly Light foundation, and find it blends very well. I was enrolled in the club for a few months, and I decided to cancel because I wasn't using the product as fast as they were sending it. I called the toll free number on the invoice, and cancelled my club membership very easily. The person on the phone was friendly, and the call was quick. I have recommended Bare Minerals to many friends and will continue to do so!

I have been a Bare Minerals user since 2000. I ordered my original kit from the informercial, then since then I have gone to a local store that is authorized to sell it. It works wonderfully and I sleep in all the time with no problems. I would recommend that anyone having problems applying it either go to the Bare Minerals website to find the closest authorized seller, and let them show you how to do it, you won;t regret it. I would never use any other product.

I found their cusomer service to be superb. I ordered the starter kit from a late night infomercial, and after approximately 4 weeks did not receive it, but was it charged to my credit card. Upon calling cusomer service, it was discovered that it was sent to the wrong address, they apologized and promptly sent another kit to me. As for the club membership, I told them I was not interested on the initial call, but discovered that I was signed up for it anyway, but when I asked them to cancel, they did so without any difficulty. But I will say, [] prices are better.

In my experience I have found that Bare Minerals is the best mineral makeup available. Since the mineral makeup craze began a few years ago, I have tried about six different brands ranging in price from cheap to expensive. Bare Minerals covers the best and provides the most natural look. It is expensive compared to the typical liquid foundations from a drugstore, but a jar of Bare Minerals does last a long time. I will say that cost-wise you would be better off buying the individual products from a store (online or local) than joining the club. You will get more product for less money and get only the items you need.

I am 46 yrs old with a medium complection. I LOVE my Bare Minerals ans so does my 17 year old daughter and 4 of her friends. None of us will ever wear anything else ever again. I do not like how expensive it is HOWEVER, I spent much much more on different products that sat in the drawer and eventually would get thrown away. I do not feel I am waisting my money because although it is more expensive, it doesd not go to waste or get thrown away. we actually use what we purchase. It took a couple of weeks to get the coverage to come out like I wanted it to but was well worth the time. I think part of the problem was I had to learn to put on several quick light layers of coverage instead of putting too much in brush at once and not getting even coverage. I also beleive it takes a few days to get the brush "loaded" with the product to make the coverage come out right.

After viewing this infomercial over and over I really wanted to try it. But like most of you, I am sure, I had many doubts. I thought for sure it was too good to be true but I really wanted to beleive something like this would work. I have really really fair skin and most retail and specialty stores have fair foundations with golden undertones, I have a neutral/pink undertone so nothing I tried was right. I held off on buying BareMinerals until my friends were talking about it one day. It turned out that a bunch of the girls at the restaurant I work with used it and their skin looked good even after a few hours of intense work. I was definitely a believer. At the time I started the kit didnt come in the color I needed (now it does) I bought everything seperate which was a little more than the kit but I felt i was getting a more personal experience. I have been using it now for a little over a year and I would NEVER go back to regular makeup. I never thought that makeup could change my life but this stuff did. My skin looks a lot better, its more hydrate, I dont break out as much, my face isnt so red all the time, it looks so natural and I really do get a lot of compliments on how good my skin looks. Please try this, it is worth it. And dont listed to the complaints because it is clearly stated that when you buy the kit you are in the "club" which will send you a 60 day supply every two months and will be charged on your credit card. If you dont want ot be in the club, buy the kit from a store like [] or one of the boutiques or buy them seperately.

I'm pretty happy about Bare Minerals. I started out joining the club, but I was receiving refills faster than I could use them. I quit using the foundations because I have more of a 'pink' tone and the yellow in the ivories just looks bad on my skin. However now that Loreal has come out with mineral makeup, I use that foundation then I use my Bare Minerals bisque, blushes, and mineral veil. The mineral veil works absolutely beautifully! With any mineral make-up (not just Bare minerals) you have to begin with a light hand and blend well, or you will end up with a cakey look. Leslie is pretty clear about that in the video. If you need more coverage, use the baby buki brush or mix the bisque with the foundation. I have rosy cheeks and that's what works for me. [] is the best place to get it: the sizes are bigger and they have great clearance sales.

I love this product. Anyone complaining on the coverage should try the kabuki brush. I first tried Bare Minerals several years ago and returned it because I didn't care for the coverage. I have some acne scarring and a very ruddy complexion. The regular face brush does nothing for me (I use it for blush now). A little over a year ago, I saw another infomercial and for whatever reason, I decided to try it again. Included was the kabuki brush. this brush gives me the coverage I am looking for. The maximum coverage concealer brush is awesome for trouble spots. Now I get compliments on how beautiful my skin is. Someone also complained that the makeup came off on their towel at the gym. I agree that if you sweat and wipe your face on a towel, yes this product will come off. But try sweating in liquid foundation and no towel is needed. Your makeup will slide right off your face. My experience with Bare Minerals is that yes, it will get wet and sweaty. But unless you wipe it off, it pretty much stays in place. At least, that is MY experience.

My mother uses Bare Minerals for rosetia (reddened areas), and it works great, completely covers all areas. I tried hers out and loved it so she ordered the starter kit for my birthday from their website. The shipping was slow, but well worth the wait, the make-up is no more expensive than what you would pay for department store products, and just like everything else in life some people will have problems with it and some won't. I have found this to be a great product, and you can return any unused product (remaining) for a full refund if you do have a problem with it.

I have been using Bare Minerals for almost 2 years and I truly think this is the best foundation I have ever tried. I have used everything from drug store brands to expensive designer makeups in liquid, pancake, powder, mousse and cream form, and nothing even compares to the lightness of wear and the quality of my skin after using BM and the ease of use. If you take the time to figure out how to use the brushes and the whole "dip, swirl, tap, buff" then you will get great results. I also know that if you wear a moisturizer underneath it is nearly impossible for it to look powdery or flaky! I use the one that came with my starter kit and I love it. I did not buy it from the infomercial because I am wary of them and know about horror stories with giving them your card and being unable to get them to stop charging and sending you stuff every month. (That is how the Girls Gone Wild guy got rich, look him up on the [] website I did believe in the product, just wary of the billing so I decided to order it from a trusted online site ([]). I love the product and don't feel they are in any way duping people insofar as what kinds of results the product will give the consumer. Also, the stuff lasts forever. It took me almost a year to get through the starter kit. That spells great value to me!

I ordered this product and loved it!!! However, it is cheaper to buy it in stores. You also get a larger size than if you order from Bare Minerals directly. I began using this product in 2003 and never went back to liquid foundation again. However, I did try Sheer Cover and was not impressed. Bare Minerals is one of the better mineral foundations out there.

I absolutely love this product. And yes, I have noticed it can get a little pasty-looking when your skin is damp or sweaty. I am 50 years old and have tried so many foundations and paid various prices, and this is the best for me. Despite the cost, everything lasts a long time because you use so little. *However, I have never ordered through the informercial or joined the club. I discovered this product on [] and have always ordered it there. [] customer service is fantastic. You can track your orders, send it back, and check and see if you got credit. You can go online and \\\"talk\\\" live to customer service. I would suggest anyone who likes the product but not the people they are dealing with, to try ordering it through [].

I use Bare Minerals and I love this product. My skin isn't perfect and this makes my skin feel very good. I purchase this product through a local store and I know it is available through a major beauty website for the same prices, so you don't have to worry about being in the "club". This product may be a little pricey, but it is no more expensive than other department store cosmetics. And this foundation has almost lasted me a whole year. $19 for foundation for a whole year?! I think that is a great price. My suggestion is to try this and any products in stores before you buy and then you won't be disappointed.

I love Bare minerals and have recommended it to many friends. I never used liquid foundation because I felt it clogged pores, felt sticky and looked unnatural. Bare Minerals stays on my face, feels clean, and does not melt into the wrinkles. I am in my 50s, and have fairly good skin, but this product gives me a finished, but natural look that is very flattering. People tell me my skin is beautiful when I wear it. Several people on this site report that it is chalky...they are probably using too much of the powder. Coverage can be light or dense, depending on how much you use. If you want a natural look, use very little. I did buy the original trial package and thought it was a good deal with all the brushes. I found that it lasted a long time (using a small amt per application) and had no trouble cancelling the membership option through a phone call. Replacements: I also have gone to the escentuals site and bought large sizes of the specific powders needed to replenish my stock. They are not cheap, but last so long. I have also bought the special again to get new brushes and replenish stock. It is the best deal for the money, but you do have to call and tell them you do not want the auto replacements. Mixing colors: I have fair skin and make a mix of the two colors that they recommend, to make the darker one a little lighter. eyeshadows: I have tried the eye shadows, and though they stay on and do not melt into the creases of the eye, however, the individual powders are rather difficult and messy to use. I am a fan of this product and recommend it highly.

It is upsetting to see so many people unhappy with Bare Minerals. I am a makeup artist, and love the product. I even recommend it to clients with sensitive skin, and those who like to have a quick morning routine. I really like this product. It is easier to apply than most makeup products. It gives a nice finish, and the cakiness some women have experienced is due to their unfamiliarity with the technique used to apply it. I would not use Bare Minerals for weddings or other events; it is not going to get you through a sweaty/teary picture filled day. But is it very good for every day use. I actually went to a Bare Minerals store on Lexington Avenue here in NYC, and was instructed on how to use the product by the staff. This is an honest company with a good product and a real retail presence. It is not an info mercial scam!!

I do not want to call this review so much a defense as my honest opinion, which just happens to be overall pretty positive. I am 49, and have pretty good skin for my age--despite the old wives' tales that wearing makeup would "age" my skin, I wore it anyway, and I think the it acted as a sunscreen even before sunscreens were added to makeup. But I digress. Good skin or no, I was still a little skeptical about putting something powdery on my face. I don't know about the other women "of a certain age" here, but it seems that no sooner are the acne years over and oily skin is no longer the bane of existence that dry skin, lines, and saggy stuff wants to barge on in. I was worried that a powder might worsen the problem. As a matter of fact, I tried, in the past, to use translucent powders without foundation, and the overall effect was...well, not good. Kind of chalky and if anything it made me look older. Nevertheless, I listened to the pitch on late night TV and used my scientific/artistic mind to weigh the validity of the claims. I do know that something with a slight amount of sheen does diffuse light. Also, if the product stays put (VERY important)...say, in a fine line or wrinkle, then it's feasible that you've got a good product here. Notice I used all caps when I mentioned staying put. That's because none of us can walk around with a frozen face--at least I can't...I don't use Botox, and I do express my feelings with facial expressions. However, in terms of makeup, especially some concealers, this can cause trouble, because the stuff works its way out of the crease and on the edges, only making it look far worse. So, deciding it was worth the risk, I ordered a kit. I am fair-skinned. I worried about comments left by others that even the products for light skin were too dark. I ordered the kit for fair skin. The colors match great. I use both. Lighter shades work well to bring features out, while the darker shades will set them back. Using the slight shadows or elevations to your advantage work wonders. I will say that the Warmth was too dark and brownish for my cheeks. However, it makes a GREAT eyeshadow...my favorite tried-and-true eyeshadow color that looks good with my blue eyes, anything I wear, day or night. The warmth also is a nice lip color. I use a lip pencil around the edges to give it a clean, finished look. The Look Rested seems to work very well on the darkish under eye circles. The yellow is the opposite color on the spectrum from that purplish under eye color. You wouldn't want to use it on a pimple unless you get pimples of an unusual hue. (Green works on red.) The makeup does stay on. It feels weightless. It's not chalky. (Yay!) I got the orginal formula, which does have a slight shine. Imagine that! After all those years battling oil for a matte look, this was a change. No, it doesn't make my face look oily or sparkly. It just diffuses, as promised. With all this in mind, I give Bare Minerals two thumbs up. It's not cheap, but I don't use much, so I am pretty confident it will not run out soon. And yes, I know there are other merchants selling similar products for less. However, I believe this company deserves credit for the concept; otherwise I don't think the knock-offs would even exist. Like any makeup, this takes practice. As an artist, it reminds me of changing from watercolors to pastels. The blending is different. But it is possible. I guess I think of my face as a canvas and just use the same principals for getting the look I like. I hope this helps!

I love Bare Minerals and have been using it since 2002. Yes, it took a little "practice" getting it to cover just right. Sometimes when I want a full coverage I will layer it. As with any makeup exfoliation and or moisturizer is recommended. I probably use a little more than what is shown in the infomercials, but I love the product. I never signed up for the club, and I've never had any problems with billing.

I pruchased the starter kit as advertised on TV through the Bare Minerals website. I don't remember it being very clear that you will be enrolled in their membership club, but I really like their product. It doesn't provide heavy coverage, it is a powder. You must moisturize (as with any product), but it is great for those of us who hate traditional bases. I was charged on my credit card for the membership, but I called and a polite customer service rep cancelled and refunded the membership as no additional products had been shipped out yet. I would buy at a local store if you have one to keep from being automatically signed up. Most []'s even sell the starter kit right in the store! I definitely receommend trying it. It's great!

I have been using bare minerals for over 4 years. I love it. I have not had the horror stories of being paying double. But then again, I did not join the club, I ordered from []. I reorder when I need to. My skin is oily, but it always looks nice and clear and it matches my tone perfectly. (Most people believe I have good skin which I don't. (for the sister who had trouble mixing the complexion - use deep not dark). I find the best results are have clean skin with a good moisturizer. The coverage is great.
