I purchased the Dr. Ho's muscle massager years ago from an infocommercial.  I used it on my hips.  a year ago i was diagnosed with peripheral neuropathy of an unknown source (not diabetic).   my chiropractor started using the electro stimulators on my feet. my knee reflexes came back.  i had not used the dr ho muscle massager for sometime and had forgotten about it.  I showed it to my chiropractoer and he tried it himself and said it was great and to use it at home.  it is a great gadget!!!!!!!!! and has helped me tremendously.  pads work fine for me but you do have to replace them now and then.

I received the Dr. Ho unit for Christmas and it is the most useful and appreciated gift I've ever recieved!!!! I suffer from arthritis and fibromyalgia, as well as migraine headaches. I have found much relief for all three problems from Dr. Ho's handy little massage unit. I have had no problem with the pads falling off. My mother also has one and found the pads fell off at first. It turned out she wasn't cleaning off her skin from natural oils and, once she started doing this before using the unit, she had no further problems. I am grateful to Dr. Ho for his invention ... it is small, quick, transportable and effective!

I saw Dr. Ho's infomercial on TV today and went looking for his Web site and ran across this site where complaints were posted.  I just wanted to say that the reason I was looking for Dr. Ho's site was so that I could order the larger pads for the unit that I now have.  I received my unit from Dr. Ho almost 3 years ago and have used it alot.  It has worked great and provided me much relief  of back pain, neck pain and headaches.  Yes, I have had a little problem with the pads from time to time but that was due to my own negligence.   If you follow the instructions on care and use, everything works just as it is supposed to.  When and if the unit I have ever wears out, I will buy another as soon as possible.

I have been a loyal user for years.   As long as your skin is clean of creams  the pads stay on.  I   notice an increase in stiffness when I go a while without using it.  I have had my main unit for years and it has always worked great!  I recently bought the larger back pads and the feet pads and could not be happier. This is not a scam.   Maybe it won't work for someone with severe arthritis, but I have mild to moderate arthritis and it works great!

The Dr. Ho's unit works very well.  It is a TENS unit, not a TEMS unit, as some other poster stated.  It is a compact, affordable device that does work - I usually do not need to go higher than 2-3 on the intensity in order to feel muscle relief.

Unfortunately, I think Rosemary got a bum deal.   Dr. Ho is located in Canada and, yes, they are difficult to contact and speak little English. In defense of the product, please let me say that I own three of the units and they work flawlessly (for me). When my back goes out the application of one of these units relieves the pain and allows me to be mobile.  I have used it on my wife's back and loaned a unit to friends.  Everyone has reported a positive result. The things Rosemary complains about don't seem unusual...the units are designed to come apart, so yes, the wiring will come out. If the gel pads on the paddles are not moistened, yes they will roll up.  I think she needs to watch the marvelous video that accompanies the product and read the directions.

I'm an extremely satisfied customer of Dr. Ho's electronic massager and have just read the complaints from other purchasers who had trouble with the electrodes not adhering to the skin, and not seeming strong enough and wanted to pass along a tip.   I had the same problem, until I realized I could apply Tac Gel or similar products made for tens units,  which is both a conductive and a sticky agent, to the electrodes.  Once I did that, they conducted beautifully, and adhered perfectly.  When the adherence starts to fade over time, a little water   brings them back.  The massager itself is similar to a tens unit but programmed differently,  much more effective in my experence and has given me enormous relief for sciatica symptoms.  I highly recommend the produc as long as you realize it works far better with a conductive agent applied from time.  Its the best product I've yet tried for a soothing, healing massage  that can be made as strong or weak as you like, depending on where you turn the dial ...from 1 to 5 strength.
