Floam is gooey, sticky, and messy. ...which is exactly what it's supposed to be. I't a squishy modeling compound. My daughter loves it. She was 4 when we first bought it for her. She knew enough not to rub it in her hair or on the carpet and not to put it in her mouth, nose, or ears.

I'm 20 years old. I played with floam all the time when I was little. Because it was fun. I didn't rub it all over the carpet and couch. Because I knew my parents would beat my ass instead of blaming the people who made it. Pretty simple.

Not all products are for everyone, but I bought this floam in a store for my 9 yr old daughter and she loves it. I don't have to take any more precautions with it than I would playdough or modeling clay. She uses it on a surface that is acceptable and there have been no problems with it.

I have been buying floam for my boys for a couple years now. They love it. I never believed that this would not stick to everything just because I am watching them on tv stick it to stuff and it drying rock solid. It does smell funny, but I have noticed that it takes a few hours to dry out which is a bonus. If you happen to get this on something and it dries out then good luck getting it out. (I have it on my carpet) Overall I did not have high expectations but I was opened minded and my kids love it and that is what matters. It is not a big hassle as long as you pick it up before it dries out.

I bought this product for $9 at [], and it works great! I'm a kid so I should know if a toy is fun, and this stuff is totally fun! I made a little snow man out of floam, and I also made a cat toy. It has the perfect amount of stick, and it can make cool things from a tin foil base. I'd suggest buying this product if you have kids/ are a kid, but not for younger children because they'd make messes, but for children who are older this products great!

I bought a Floam set at a local [] for around $10. It didn't smell too good or too bad. It was the right stickiness and my kids and I didn't have any issues cleaning up afterwords. Since I bought through a local [], there is no shipping and handling, no waiting for product, and no over-billing. I would suggest that everyone buys via a store.

I work as a manager in a callcenter and have had many of my agents bring in Floam to play with to pass the time. I like to stop by their desks just to play with the stuff. I don't know if the people with the complaints got a bad batch or something, but the Floam I played with was not sticky at all. It is a very cool, fun form of entertainment, not only for kids, but als for people confined to a cubicle (or office) for 8 hours a day. Great product despite the naysayers.

I purchased 15 tubs of Floam as a gift for the kids attending my son's 8th birthday party. Much to my dismay, after most guests left, a couple containers of floam were opened and were very guey or too dry. After searching on-line and finding this site, I saw Andrew's response and called the company. I was very pleased with the person I spoke with and she sent new floam. The package was received within 2 days of the call and I checked each of the packages and the Floam was perfect. Thank you for handling the situation professionally and resolving the issue so quickly. The kids will all be so excited to get their new Floam.

My name is Andy Farrar, I am president of HandsOnToys. We control the world wide manufacture and distribution of FLOAMŪ. We have sold more than 12,000,000 units world-wide, and have had tremendously positive feedback. However, when you make that many units, if even 99.99% are perfect the remaining .01% is still too many unhappy customers. If you have purchased our product and are not 100% satisified, please call me 978-946-9300. Andrew Farrar President HandsOnToys

What is wrong with these people? My son loves Floam, and it only dries out if you leave it out of the package for a long period of time, which is actually one of the coolest things about it. You can coat toys or decorations with it, or make things that will harden, that you can keep. Not only that, but the instructions specifically state how to re-moisten it. Most importantly, it's sold off the shelves at [], [], [], [], and just about everywhere else. Why on earth would you buy it off the TV and pay ridiculous prices for something when you can't even see how big it is?

We bought Floam at [] for our 5-year-old daughter and she loves it. I would suggest buying it at the store and avoid shipping & handling and other credit card billing problems!
