I purchased the Fluidity Bar in April'08, five months after I had my first baby. I didn't start using it until two months later. No reason, just lazy. At first I used it two times a week, then three, and now four times a week. I lost over 30 lbs and went down three sizes. My back doesn't hurt anymore and my posture is great. I love machine and it is worth every penny that I paid for it. Yes, I initially purchased the machine to keep it only for a month and pay only the shipping fees, but since I just stored it away for the first two months, I had to pay for it. My husband is even using it and he's lost 10 lbs and two inches off his waist within a month. We are not doing any additional cardio exercises, only eating half the fraction of what we ate before, and avoid soda and candy. For all that do have the Fluidity, it's definately a great investment in weight loss and toning up the body. Good Luck!

I'm sorry for all of you who had a hard time returning the bar, unfortunately that happens a lot with infomercials . As for the rest of you- DUH! I'm only 24 and know that infomercials always try to reel you in with a low price and then there are usually more to pay! How can you people, especially those older than me, not know that you should always do your research before blindly buying something? I mean come on, I bought the fluidity bar AFTER I went to their site, found out the actual price and also looked around at customer reviews BEFORE COMMITTING MY MONEY TO ANYTHING! So I bought it and I love it! Yeah it's a little stinky but with the materials it's made out of it's to be expected. No, you will not lose 50lbs in a couple weeks with this, but it does strengthen and build muscle which in return does raise your metabolism. I would recommend this bar/workout to anyone whose not making excuses not to use it and get your monies worth out of it.

When I saw the infomercial, I thought this could not possibly be only $39.95. I always check the websites of any infomercial, and it was very clear that there would be 6 payments plus shipping and handling charges at their site. I could not afford buying it from them, so I found one online used for $125--like new with all the accessories and videos! It is a great piece of equipment and an awesome workout. I am happy to have it as a part of my home gym. BTW - good quality equipment can be found used online. This is how I collected the major peices in my home gym. If cost is an issue, do your homework. As for a quality workout, the Fluidity Bar delivers.

I am in New Zealand and ordered the fluidity bar a few months ago. I am still on the beginners workout which means I won't get too good at it too quick! I have noticed I am now alot more agile and feel stronger. I'm amazed that some of the complainents expected this bar to cost only $39.95, it's a well designed piece of equipment that works! It's a shame you have seperated complaints from defenses, people read the complaints and don't bother backing them up by looking at the blogs from all the happy customers - there are more of them!

I have only been using this for about a month. I belong to a gym, do pilates, etc. I think it is a challenging workout and their claims are legit. I did not think for one minute that it cost $39.95. Can you people read? Stop blaming everyone else!!! If you want to buy a video and recreate the bar -- Go ahead! The time and trouble it will take you are far more that the $250+ cost. Once again. Use some common sense!
This is a good product. You'll get out of it what you put into it.

I love my Fluidity Bar! It's a great for toning and increasing strength and flexibility, and I like the fact that the workout only takes about a half-hour. If you're looking for fat loss, however, you need to do cardio work as well (duh!).

As far as the folks who have complained that it costs much more than the $39 they expected, almost all fitness products advertised in infomercials are promoted this way (think Total Gym, Bowflex, etc.) They only state the first payment; it's up to the consumer to go to the website and check it out. Use your heads, people!

The bar is heavy and sturdy, as it should be. The mat smells a little at first but the smell goes away quickly. This is a well-made, quality piece of equipment that will last years and give great results if you use it regularly.

I am happy to report that I am the extremely satisfied owner of a Fluidity Bar. I purchased mine for $100 from a previous owner who probably never used it (and it showed). It is a great piece of equipment and it is amazing how effective these small controlled movements are. I had the benefit of feedback from my sister who purchased her's from the website. The $250 price tag was a bit prohibitive for me so I kept looking for a decent priced used one. With any exercise equipment there are going to be a large majority of WHINERS who would not have used any exercise equipment long enough to get any benefit from it. It is big, but I have had to put it up after every use until I find a place to leave it out but it really hasn't been that hard. I've gotten used to it and it takes but a minute.

I normally don't respond to what I read on-line but since I just ordered this product, I thought I would. Half of the "complaints" from below I have discovered to be completly unfounded. I live by myself and I was able to assemble the bar with out any help. It was pretty self explanatory, and I didn't pay that close of attention to the directions. Also the smell was not that bad. At all. I'm still trying to figure out why someone would complain about it. For it not working - it most certainly isn't your typical exercise. The movements are small and controlled, and will take time to get the body that you want. This program is designed to not get you a quick fix - honestly no excercise program is designed to get you a quick fix with out serious crash dieting and hours into it. I did find that I used more of my muscles than I have used in weight lifting or areobic execises that I've done before.
For those of you that didn't purchase this because of the negative reviews, you really missed out on what, I think, is a great product. I'll continue to use mine for a long, long time.

I purchased the Fluidity Bar and so far have greatly enjoyed it. I didn't notice any heavy smell and found the heavy bar to be easily transported via the wheels on the bottom. Granted I did not have to carry it up any stairs or anything like that. I saved a lot of money by buying a brand new bar (including 4 dvd's, a resistance bands, ball & pump) from a popular auction website. I didn't purchase this product until I was positive I would not want to send it back, because I'm sure it is expensive to return. The workout itself is challenging but not so excruciating that I don't want to do it again. I'm only on the beginner dvd and following the easiest move and I still feel it. For reference I am about 150lbs and in relatively good shape but looking to tone muscle group rather than drop a large number of pounds. Fluidity is perfect for my needs. I love it and wouldn't dream of returning this product.

I love my fluidity bar! I never thought that it only cost $40; the ad clearly said it was multiple payments as did the website. Yes, It is large and heavy and I needed help to get it up to my apartment. Once it was in the apt it was easy to set up. The manual clearly says carefully lower the mat. I never hurt my feet setting it up. I don't have a storage problem even in a small apt; I just leaned it against a wall. I don't even notice it there. The mat covering seems pretty sturdy to me so I don't see how it would have ripped in one use. And I never noticed any offensive smell. It smells like any vinyl type covering but it was not strong and it doesn't smell like anything now. As far as weight loss, you will not get that with a resistance product such as Fluidity alone. That takes cardio! Get on a treadmill or just go outside and take a walk--anything to get your heart rate up! Resistance tones and builds muscle and muscle weighs more than fat. If you keep with it and do cardio you might not lose alot of weight but you will lose inches. I have had my bar since April and it is awesome!

One way to avoid the expense and apparent smelliness is to go on [] or [] and find a used one. I found one for only $75, and that included the instruction manual, all the videos (including the hip/seat video, which is an extra $20 on the website) and the ball and resistance bands. And no smell, either.

The only problem is that I can't figure out how to set up the stupid thing. I figured out how to raise the height of the bar, but I can't get the hinge on the bottom to lock. The owner's manual is very vague, and of course, there is no info on the website or any number to call. Can anyone help me on this one?

My boyfriend bought me the fluidity bar for my birthday. After the first workout I was dying! Now I'm almost to the intermediate dvd and I'm loving my workout. I actually ENJOY exercising with this because I can actually feel the burn in my stomach and thighs. I've already lost 7 pounds and I'm standing straighter and walking more balanced and I've only had it for two weeks! Most of the complaints I'm reading are about weight loss and I don't understand. If you are really committed to doing the workout you will see results, and this product is far more successful than free weights because you have the bar to balance and ensure than you are distributing weight evenly. I love my Fluidity!

I recently purchased the fluidity bar and live in Australia. Yes it is going to end up costing a lot, but I love it! Also, I was terrified of the awful smell people complained about, and I certainly didn't have that problem! The mat smelled of new plastic for around a day, but it didn't make my whole house stink! I am someone who is certainly not into toxic smells, so really, I think some of the complaints made are a bit dramatic. You have to commit to using the Fluidity bar if you want to see results, so maybe if people spent a little less time whinging about it and exercising, they may have nothing to complain about!

Please Read this all the way through.

Let me first say I currently work as a pilates instructor. I at one point after a bad relationship gained about 40lbs and suffered severely mentally and physically from having so much weight added on.

If you are out of shape and over weight. Doing Fluidity correctly is going to give you the body you deserve. But these things take time and dedication. Yes twice a week is great to start out with. and yes your body is going to hurt in the beginning. Do you NEED anything other then your own body to exercise NO, you can do every exercise on your floor, couch or just standing up.

All those who have no read the small print or asked all the questions deserve what they get. They are lazy and there is a reason why they expect to get stuff super cheap and it be some kind of miracle fix for them without having to do work.

When you go to get a massage they should tell you drink lots of water and you may feel sore for a few days with it releasing the toxins that your body holds in.

With any work out or diet you MUST check with a medical professional to make sure you can do it. If your hip is hurting too bad or your back you NEED to see your DR cause there are things a lot worse going on.

The word Diet has been so mistaken and confused now adays. To say diet brings forth images of pills and miracle cures. but I mean diet as in what you put in your body. Do a little bit of research lord knows there is tons of it on the net for free, make a meal plan and cut your caloric intake and LIVE! If you are stress eating, find whats causing the stress and fix it.

I was surprised by the complaints - most complained about the same thing - the price - this is surprising because the infomercial clearly states that this is a trial period. The other complaint I noticed is that people are saying it's hard....

When I saw the infomercial, it looked hard - not once does anyone say it is easy, the people making it look easy are in top physical shape. When I spoke with my husband after seeing the infomercial, I told him, that most times, these infomercials make their exercises look fun and exciting, no where on this infomercial does it look fun and exciting, many of the people say that it is months of work before the results they have. I have a degenerative spine disease, the moves shown on the infomerical are basically very similar as my physical therapy exercises, maybe this is why I KNOW for 100% certain, that this won't be easy, I am excited however about using this product at home.

I ordered my Fluidity Bar and I love it. I knew from the infomercial that the cost would be higher than $39.95 since it clearly states - more than once - that you can "try it in your home for 30 days". Not once does it seem that that is the price for the unit. The website is easy to navigate and tells you right up front how much the bar is going to cost. All it takes is paying a little bit of attention and actually reading the screen before you click "OK".
The exercises are difficult - but boy do they work. I'm 46 years old and am getting the trim, firm look I had years ago. It isn't easy, but most things that are worthwhile aren't. If you are looking for a cheap, easy, magic bullet, this isn't it. But neither are any of the other things you buy. It takes effort and perserverance.

I purchased the fluidity bar in April and love it! I am starting week 13 and have noticed definite changes in my strength, some changes in my tone. I think I was expecting a []! Ha, Ha... The changes are there but slower than I had expected. For those that say they aren't losing weight- well this is not a weight loss machine! You lose weight by a combination of cardio, diet, and strength training. The construction is very good quality and whoever said the mat fell on and hurt their toes is absurd! Almost like saying a pilates mat fell and hurt my toe. Couldn't figure that one out! I have been very pleased and will continue to stick with it. My only complaint is I wish there were more videos...

I have been using the Fluidity bar since January - my 45th birthday present to ME! To date, I have lost 80 pounds and I have lost track of the inches. I was wearing (in January) a size 16. I now wear a 5/6 and am very happy with that. I have transformed my body with the Fluidity bar. I am disabled due to Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy affecting my left leg, so I am unable to do any cardio or jumping on my leg. I never order anything over the phone. I checked the website, saw the total price (which is OBVIOUS) and went for it. I have never had a problem with double payments or anything like that. I love my Fluidity bar. I have become much stronger physically, as well as mentally, since I have lost the weight and have gained the self-confidence that I lost.

I ordered this about 2 weeks ago. I got it last week without having to pay the additional "rush" charge. I used it the first 2 days with no trouble. I took 2 days off and can't wait to get back to it. I can't believe how such little movements make such a difference. I was a gymnast and didn't think this would be as tough for me as it was but it gives me confidence that I'll be able to build muscle tone. I'm not sure why anyone would think this only costs $39.95. They clearly state in the infomercial that you can TRY IT in your home for 30 days for $39.95. In no way did they say that was the full price. 45 seconds on their website and I found the full price, plus shipping, clearly stated with the payment options. I did check on the UPS website to see what it would cost to send a 65 pound package from NJ to CA in case I need to return it and I was given about $67 so I can't figure how some people were told over $100. Hopefully I won't need to do that anyway. Loving it so far in that it's not easy and I have to work at it and it's simple to set up and break down. I don't see losing any weight with it but that's more because I don't have that kind of luck! Guess I'll see. I'm more interested in getting stronger anyway.

I love my Fluidity Bar. I can see results and I like the way I feel relaxed afterwards. The soreness I feel is deeper than when I was lifting weights. I do have a few little issues. It is heavier than stated and is hard to fold down. My mat ripped the first day, but after all the trouble of getting it out and setting it up I ended up keeping it.
