I found this product for the types of scratches it us advertised as being able to help. I had a number of scratches on the top of my trunk when I had placed heavy things and then moved them. The result were scratches... not deep, but quite noticeable. After using the product as directed, they were all but gone. If you are attempting to get out deep scratches (as in key scratches or run ins with other vehicles), I doubt seriously this product will help you. However for the use I mentioned, it did a fine job. I would note that it seemed a lot like Rubbing Compound and I am not sure that product would not have done the same job. But since they are probably about the same price, why not go with this one.

I am not affiliated with gs27 in any way other than a satisfied customer. I restore Alfas,Porsches,MB's,Jaguars. I bought GS 27 at Pep Boys here in Long Beach,Ca. I tried the product on a MB 450SL that had alot of very visible but not deep scratches, while in the parking lot of Pep Boys, knowing that I could return the product if it didn't work. It worked just fine on the about 20 scratches I polished. If you think its going to make a gouge disappear you're going to be disappointed. I have "erased" hundreds of scratches since then and even removed scratches on a BMW door that my neighbor had a $295.00 quote to repaint. He thanked me with 6 new tubes of GS 27! Buy it and try it at a store, if it doesn't work, return it to the store. You can't be fusier than I am with my 23 cars. Best wishes, Jerry Ernst

GS27 most definitely worked as advertised. Realizing the limitations of the product helps. It's not a panacea for deep scratch removal, bet it definitely reduced the depth of the scratch. It MUST be used according to the directions. I've purchased it several times for various cars and has worked well.

Common sense dictates that no product in the world, short of a bottle of touch up paint, will replace paint where it's been scratched off. However, minor surface scratches from things such as accidental run ins with shrubbery, or scuffs from shopping carts or car port posts are easily polished out with GS27. You must apply the product in the same direction as the scratch and use FIRM pressure, but I have found that most of the minor scratches and blemishes are greatly reduced if no removed completely when using GS27.

I work at a car dealership for highline automobiles. I have used this on vehicles over $60k and it does work. It has been a great tool and we have several of our clients that buy it to keep up the maintenance on their cars. It is not designed for deep scratches and I am woundering if all these complaints are due to that. To a non car person a scratch may not appear deep, but to someone that deals with cars and paint you'd be surprised at how many small scratches turn out to be small deep scratches.
