I'll defend ITC a little bit, even though they really are a pretty bad company overall. I had already planned on starting an internet business years ago, and when I saw the ITC infomercial at 2am, I thought it would be a good way to get started. Of course, as with all things, it turned out to be a bit more difficult than I expected. Most ITC products were worthless, and the site did things like add $12 shipping cost for $2 Chapstick. So I knew right off I would never make money selling the ITC products. But the site allows you to easily add your own products, which is what I wanted to do anyway. So I decided what products I wanted to sell, worked hard to learn how to market them, and now I've been making 3 to 6 thousand dollars a month from my website for 3 years. A couple years ago ITC asked me to be in one of their infomercials because of the rare success I've had. I was in the infomercial, because I really did feel that I owed ITC something, because I might never have gotten my website going without their help. I told the truth on the infomercial, but of course ITC used only the positive information, not the negative. They make it look like it will be easy to make quick money.
A successful internet business is a lot of work. You'd be naive to think that for $39.95 you'll have a successfull store. ITC just provides you with some tools, but you've got to learn to use them and be DIFFERENT from the other billion stores out there.
ITC does overcharge for some of their services, but they're still cheaper than some of their competitors. A merchant account is expensive whether you use ITC or not. ITC charged me $500 to setup my Merchant account, but I've used it to process over a million dollars in sales, so it was worth it.
While ITC has been helpful in getting me started, I plan to leave them soon, because their website platform is pretty limited and unreliable. With a little HTML knowledge you can build a better site for cheaper on your own.

Everyone complaining that its a scam are all immature, careless, greedy, and hypocrytical. First of all, your all in a hurry to make so much money that you instantly do what they say. 2ND, you dont notice the fact that Television ads Cost TOO much for a scam. Eather you did it wrong, or you dont know what to do. Dont accept the dam upgrades if you dont know what they do. Im acually making money off the ITC. Beleive it or not i make on average 2-3 thousand a month. Keep complaining about it, because you have nothing better to do.

The internet treasure chest is a good, valuable resource. I unlike others out there didn't expect a ten thousand dollar check to fall out of the box when I opened it. I was able to set my site up. I was instructed by a mentor to FOCUS on a niche and market my site wisely on the internet RATHER THAN TRY TO BE A ONLINE WALMART. I really appreciated the help I recieved from the internet treasure chest and the help of the mentor that I paid for. It was a wise investment and they helped me to leverage it out on my credit card.
