I had the LSL procedure on my neck, including lipo, on July 9, 2008 with Dr. Sadati in Santa Ana. I couldn't be happier. I'm a 60 year-old non-smoker. I waited almost 2 months between my initial consult and my surgery dates with no problem or pressure from LSL to hurry-up and get it done. After making the initial deposit of $500 at the consult, I did not have to pay the balance until 2 weeks before my surgery date, which was when I had my consultation with Dr. Sadati. The Dr. answered all my questions (I had written them down so I wouldn't forget anything), and in fact, offered additional information about the recovery that I hadn't thought to ask. The procdure was done exactly as described and there were no surprises. I had followed all of the pre-op, and post-op, instructions to the letter especially about the arnica and vitamin C for bruising s I tend to bruise easily. I had absolutely no problems other then the usual post-op swelling and slight bruising. I could see a big improvment in my turkey-neck and jowls almost the next day. It was amazing, really. Dr. Sadati was available to see me each time I went to the office (for suture removal, post-op photos, etc.) and he asked me, each time, if I was happy or had any questions. It is now 6 weeks after, and 90%+ of the swelling is gone. I no longer look like I'm melting! My friend commented that my jawline looks chiseled, and I'm just glad that I once again HAVE a jawline. I believe that a great deal of your success with the LSL lies in your hands follow all the instructions, take some responsibility to get your prescriptions filled, and start your pre-op care two weeks, or more prior to your surgery. Review your expectations with your surgeon. I wanted to look better, not younger although I believe I got both.

I had the LSL, upper eyes and neck lift on May 18, 08 in Seattle WA by a board certified PS. I was not pressured into giving a deposit and the price quoted at my consultation was the same when I booked the surgery a month later. In fact the consultant was not sure I needed the neck procedure and felt more comfortable letting the Dr. make that call so I paid the deposit on the LSL and eyes and did not pay for the neck lift until I met with the Dr. and it was the same price I had been quoted four month previous. My surgery was scheduled at my convenience. The procedure was not painful and I only took TylenolXS for the after pain which was bad for the first 48, I can't take pain meds.I would have if I could have. I did a lot of research before the surgery and knew it was a real face/neck lift and that I would be swollen and bruised for maybe several months. At three weeks I can go out with make-up and I look pretty good. I suspect it will be several weeks before most of the swelling goes down and six months to see the full results just like a traditional lift. I am pleased with the results my family says I look 15 years younger at three weeks post-op I am 54 and the mother of 5. The after care has been great. I have my own RN I can call anytime who knows his stuff and whom I trust. The Dr. did a beautiful job as far as the suture placement, I can't even see the ones in front of my ears. I did follow the aftercare instructions to a "T" and had help for the first 10 days but I only needed full time help the first 48 hours. I think anyone who would let someone cut their face without doing research on the procedure what is expected from them for aftercare and the Dr. who is going to do it is crazy. It took me weeks to get all the things I needed for aftercare from bandages and ice packs to what I was going to use to sleep with my head up and medications I would need. This was made pretty clear from the LSL office staff before my surgery. So I don't feel like they underplayed the recovery to me personally but again anyone who has a surgery on their face based on an infomercial only has a screw loose. At my 48 hour check-up there was a beautiful Asian woman who had just the LSL the same day I did. She looked great was wearing a baseball cap and talking on her phone and I looked like I got hit by a truck! Go figure. I could have had any kind of face surgery I wanted and chose this one because I did not have to be put to sleep and dud not need a big face lift and so far I am pleased with results and the way I have been treated by LSL office and staff in Seattle.

I am not by any means defending this product. I must however defend the medical credentials of Dr. Kent. One of his former employees states that he is not a real Doctor. Certainly Dr. Kent is a Board-Certified Otolaryngologist and Facial plastic Surgeon. Dr. Kent is an Osteopathic Physician (DO) which requires the same medical education and residency training that allopathic(MD) physicians complete. Other than that, let the buyer beware and do your homework.

I had the Lifestyle Lift in March and I am doing great. I went for the consult and had the surgery done in the Ft. Lauderdale office within a week. I had my eyelids, face and neck done at the same time. I initially got sick the first day from the pain medication but right afterward managed with Tylenol XS. My husband was concerned with the swelling before my stiches came out and personally talked to the doctor who had us immediately come in and checked me out and let us know it was all ok. My stiches in front and back are out. I look great, still a little bruising and swelling to go away but all in all I am very happy with the doctor and procedure. I did not expect a long recovery time but they did tell me everyone's healing time is different.

my affiliation with Lifestyle Lift is that we have been contracted to film patients across the country. i've filmed the procedure, and probably about 50 clients over the last 2 years. Have been across the country and can say that by and large---the clients are extremely happy, some even ecstatic. The employees are nice and i believe they try their hardest to meet people's expectations. I've also seen the staff recognized and awarded for patient satisfaction. some of the comments i see seem to be from disgruntled employees and to some degree, competing plastic surgery offices that make completely false statements. From what i have seen travelling the company, they seem to promote a positive patient experience, take surveys from their patients and post a rather large sign that if you don't feel the local office has met expectations, to call the main office. I strongly believe that the comments on this site are partially derived from people with an axe to grind. I would say that if an ex-employee is posting negative comments---i would say there is a reason why that person is no longer there. and that is just my opinion.

Since I am a nurse and a total skeptic of any procedure especially one with a quick fix of the turkey neck I went into this with alot of questions. I met with the consultant who answered all my questions, we discussed what would be best for my chin and neck she was very up front that not only would I need to have the skin tucked but also liposuction of the neck due to fat accumulation. I then met with Dr. Taghizadeh who answered all my questions and thoroughly reinforced why I would not only need the tuck but also the liposuction. I had the procedure and with the exception of the injections all went well and was totally satisfied with the outcome. When we go to a professional and are given the options with explainations then choose not to follow their recommendations then they have no one to blame but them self for the outcome.

I currently work for Lifestyle Lift. The company instructs all their employees in proper care and proper education as well as has the doctors go out for technical checks and re-education twice yearly. We treat our patients fairly and do our best to educate them properly. I personally explain and explain so there are no miscommunications or misunderstandings. Yes, people come to the office for a FREE consultation for education and to learn about the procedures. They do not normally meet a doctor at that visit and, once they give a 10% good faith deposit, are scheduled to meet a BOARD CERTIFIED plastic surgeon on staff. Our doctors also have private practices and believe in LSL so mnuch that they take time out of these private practices to perform the LSL in approved centers. The patients, at the consultation, are told there are 3 more visits--one to meet a doctor, one for the surgeon, one to have the stitches removed and a 4th visit in 4 - 6 weeks for follow-up (this is a choice but we do like seeing the patients then). Yes, there are cuts made, yes there are stiches, yes there is scarring, yes there can be bruising and swelling, yes you wil bleed, yes, yes, yes. Will this make a MAJOR difference for everyone? No--but we try to be truthful and tell you it may be subtle. Tne words used in my center are, "if you want people to notice, you're in the wrong place--people will think you;ve had more sleep, gotten tan, changed your hair, have different make-up, etc. but they won't usually think you've had a facelift". Are all the centers alike? No! Will everyone be happy? No. Will we do everything possible to make you happy? Yes!

I am only four days post-op, but I have nothing but praise for both the Lifestyle Lift and its employees. Everything was exactly as I expected it to be and I believe those who are complaining about the procedure are unwilling to accept that this is SURGERY: an SMAS face lift that involves tightening muscle, as well as removing excess skin. It is not a quick-fix and there will be a period of recuperation required, depending on which proicedures are done, how old you are, if you smoke or have medical conditions that interfere with the healing process, if you are overweight, etc. A healthy, non-smoking woman in her fifties should have no problems. I had the lift and upper/lower blepheroplasty, so I do have some bruising and swelling. I do not have ANY jowls or nasal-labial folds, marionette lines or loose neck skin and I can already see that I will be thrilled with my results, once the stitches are removed and swelling is gone. My scars are strategically placed so they will NOT show. I chose to stay in a nearby hotel the day of the procedure and one day after, which I am glad I did. I stayed alone and followed all instructions, most specifically to keep my head elevated and use ice packs generously. Oral medications included antibiotics, pain meds and prednisone. I stopped taking prescription pain meds after the second day and am using only Tylenol when needed. The surgery itself is performed under local anesthesia with lidocaine administered through a very small needle, and I felt absolutely nothing. I was mildly sedated with Valium, but awake and talking throughout the procedure. My eyes were protected with opaque contact lenses while the upper and lower blepheroplasty was performed, so I saw and felt nothing. The most I ever felt during the lift was mild tugging, but no pain. I must admit that I looked very good going into the surgery...definitely younger than my fifty-two years, but as my doctor told me, "now you are going to look like you're thirty." It is much easier and the results last longer when a face lift is performed early enough to catch little problems, before they become BIG problems. I know I could have waited longer, but I am glad I chose to nip my problems in the bud. I have no regrets and would recommend this procedure to all my 'boomer' friends. Quality of life DOES matter. I had my surgery performed in Independence, Ohio and my WONDERFUL surgeon is the very gifted Dr. Richard Gentile, to whom I give my highest possible recommendations.

Two years ago I had the Life Style Lift performed in Northern Virginia. I made the appointment for the consultation and procedure for the same day. The shots were painful and it took longer than 1 hour not to mention I could not leave the house for over a week due to bruising and being swollen. Given all that the results were great. Would I do it again - only with more valium! I only told a few people about having the procedure - they noticed a difference. Mainly the jowl area - a terrible family trait! It wasn't drastic enough that I looked like I had something done - but those who didn't know - mainly my family - said I was looking good for being 50! They couldn't put their finger on it and said I looked "youthful" and "rested". A friend of mine had a complete face lift and you can tell. Not only does she look different - and not in a good way, the scars on her are obvious and mine are not. I feel much better about being 50+ and have been told I look like I am in my late 30's, early 40's. I don't quite buy that - but I know I am proud to say I am over 50! Life Style Lift is a good thing!

I had my Lifestyle Lift done a little over a year ago here in South Florida, along with upper & lower eyelid surgery. Having read the complaints, it appears that none of these people did their homework. First, ALWAYS, find out as much as you can about the physician. Depending on state, their are websites for licensing and whether that particular doctor has has any complaints against him/her. Second, when I went for my initial consultation, I not only met with the consultant but also met with the dr. who in no uncertain terms told me that this was surgery and even advised against having my eyes and the lift done at the same time because of the healing process. I had it done over the Thanksgiving holiday, was incredibly bruised but everyone is different and I just dealt with it. I did have a large hematoma behind my ear but I went back for about a week to have it drained and the staff & dr. were as nice as can be. All-in-all, the dr. was honest, competent and I am quite happy with the results. My point is simply this: meet the dr., ask lots of questions and do your homework.

My mother, mother-in-law and countless other relatives and friends have had the Lifestyle Lift done and all look AMAZING. Dr. Lanfranchi in the Las Vegas office did their surgeries. My mom and mother-in-law had the Lifestyle Lift and upper eyes done and they both look years younger. My mom took 2 pain pills the day after surgery and my mother-in-law didn't take any. The results are amazing and beautiful. Please speak to someone that has had it done, in person. You'll be amazed. Don't believe the negative blogs without seeing it first hand, for yourself.

After reading some of the complaints on this site, I felt I had to respond. It is clear that some of these complaints are not from REAL LifeStyle Lift patients. Several reasons...1) I saw a few posts stating the patient did not return for a follow up for months; The truth is that most centers do a 24 hour follow-up, then stitches are removed 5-10 days after the procedure, then there is a 4-6 week follow up, then 2 months after that! Therefore, there are usually at least 4 follow ups. 2) Several people stated they were not sent home with pain pills. Truth- nobody is sent home with pain pills. It is a prescription which must be filled at a pharmacy. LifeStyle Lift is NOT a pharmacy, therefore cannot fill prescriptions and distribute pain pills. 3) Reading that the sagging starts immediately back. Truth- excess skin is REMOVED, therefore unless the patient has tons of extra skin growing back at an excessive rate (not likely), there cannot be sagging immediately again. I would recommend discussing the LifeStyle Lift with an employee of the company, and also with the BOARD CERTIFIED PLASTIC/FACIAL PLASTIC SURGEON before making your decision.

I recently had the lifeStyle Lift by Dr. Farias, and am quite delighted. My blood pressure was very high (due to an impending divorce decision), so I bled much more than normal during the surgery. Dr Farias handled everything VERY well, and the follow up has been MORE than terific. Having veterinary experience, I knew that the bruising would go away, maybe just take a little longer. I can say that NOW I have a chin line and a neck, wheras before I looked like Jabba the Hutt, in a dog show photo. I can\'t wait to have my next \"win photo\" at the dog show, because i am SO VERY pleased that I had this procedure done! I CAN say, that I felt NO pain through out the procedure, and none afterward, even through the whole healing process. Just a few little pinches with that initial numbing, but not nearly as bad as lidocaine in a hospital, because the Lifestyle lift Dr.s put in an additive (Co2??) that makes the lidocaine less acid to the system, and thus burns MUCH less upon injection. They made sure I was comfortable throughout the procedure, and upon follow ups, the staff was great, and the Dr. even gave me his cell phone in case there were any problems. It was all handled VERY professionally and with care, and i would recommend it to anyone. During my consultation, I saw many women (and some men..)that had it done, in different stages, and all were happy they had it done. Also one girl I met there was told that she didn\'t need the procedure yet, so they don\'t just do anyone just for the money, they REALLY do care! I can\'t recommend it more highly, and I don\'t especially want to look younger.. I just wanted my jawline back, and to not have a double chin..and I could\'nt be more satisfied.

I had the lifestyle lift in September and it was the best decision I ever made. I don't understand how you are getting ANY complaints about it...I have 4 friends who had it done, and have nothing but praises for the proceedure as well as for the doctors...I can't help but think that the unhappy patients are going to possibly a select office that has surgeons who are inferior, but the results you see on TV are NOT doctored up...I love my results and get compliments all the time now!

You will see that I did post a complaint before this. Well, I have received the $400 refund. This all started July 21, 2007. My refund was received August 3, 2007. Today I received a telephone call from an Attorney from Lifestyle Lift asking me to write this note. Today is October 16, 2007. I am not a District Attorney, I work for the District Attorney's office! Just to get the record straight. Please do not call me anymore. I am very satisfied with the outcome.

I am defending Lifestyle Lift. our little company does some of the filming for Lifestyle Lift. I have personally sat in the operating room and filmed 6 procedures that are being used in plastic surgery conventions across the country for other doctors to view. These procedures were done in an hour, while the doctors were giving instructions on how to perform a lifestyle lift. I have personally interviewed over 40 patients---saw them before and then 2 days after. The had incredible results. I was impressed i set my aunt up with the doctor. She is happy and that was over a year ago I just don't get it? How can you say this stuff? Do you think this is all smoke?---these are plastic surgeons doing face-lifts---why is that so hard to believe? or is your website just ANTI-surgery? You are grouping all infomercials into scams---which is not right. Do you say the same thing about hair transplant infomercials??? Because we have filmed those as well and i have had 2 sessions and have a nice head of hair. Bosley Hair Transplants and others have been around for 30 years using infomercials---are they scammers too?
