This does work. I will say the wax never worked the same after I heated it for the first time. Most sugar waxes do not reheat very well & even. I waxed my arms & underarms with this and it worked perfectly. You must be familiar with heating sugar waxes up-so the heat melts the product evenly & doesnt scorch and change the formula. Everything was easy to use, and it worked amazingly well. When I would try to use it after the first time it didnt work as well because once wax gets heated & dries and reheated it never works as well. Most people know this though.

I have used home electrolysis, the epil-lady (electrical hair puller), hot wax, a sugary remover and Nad's. I would recommend Nad's. The secret is you must exfoliate and have oil free DRY legs. Use a scrub first then completely dry your legs. I also wouldn’t recommend doing very small areas when doing your underarms or better yet have a friend help. It can be tricky keeping the skin taught. Also, occasionally shave with a razor; it seams to reduce ingrown hairs. Warning: Repeated use will create hair-free areas. This happens with any kind of 'waxing' so; if you ever want to go natural don't use Nad's (or any other form of hair removal that takes the root). I have completely bare areas on my legs from years of use.

I purchased the wand at [] to use for my eyebrows and some stray dark hairs that wander too far from my hairline. I thought it was very easy to use and I received great results from the product. I love it!

All the complaints about Nads appear to be from people unfamiliar with waxing or sugar waxes. I've worked in a salon and tried numerous hair removal products over the years. All waxes hurt ALOT until you've been waxing for awhile! (Even a professional will cause some pain waxing any new area.) Over time it gets better, I still bleed a little when I wax (not everyone does but I have course hair), but it doesn't hurt. As for Nads, I recently pulled out a jar I've had for more than three years. I works fine. The edges of the strips are frayed, but I put them through the washer without them falling apart. The wax works good, especially for a cold wax and cleans up better than any hot wax. It is really important not to let the wax get too warm or stay on too long or you won't remove much hair. My advise is to use Nads if you want easy clean up or want to avoid hot wax and have experience. If you have no experience, have a freind or a professional do your first waxing or you'll never want a second one!

I have been using Nads Gel for several years, I have used a variety of products and have found it to be the best one on the market. This is mainly applicable to the body products, not so much the face wand which I have found difficult to work with. The Gel does not need to be heated, is water-soluble and biodegradable and therefore better for the environment then a lot of the other stuff. The key, I have found, is (when using it on legs, stomach- I even use it for triple X waxes) is to keep it thin. Using a layer that is too thick will make it hard to work with, and way more painful then it needs to be. I'd rate the pain level as equal to or less than other waxing products.

I'm a hairy guy. I used to shave, but my girlfriend's best friend is an esthetician and told me how bad that was for my skin. I starting getting my back waxed. And from what I hear on this board it sounds like the first time you get something waxed. Shaving causes your hairy in an area to get thicker and so if you then try and tear it out, it's not going to be extremely easy, but if you've never shaved somewhere before or you've started getting waxed regularly it gets easier. Also you do have to go with the direction of the hair and pull the skin taught and it helps to prep the area with cleanser and then apply some topical creams to help it heal and to prevent ingrown hairs. If you do it regularly this happens once a month, which is better than a weekly shaving, but if you've never done it before, and you're not trained to do it, it's gonna hurt, ALOT, and it's going to be unpleasant. That being said, Nads is fine in a pinch, but go to a pro if you want this as a proper alternative to shaving.

My sister introduced me to Nads several years ago, raving about how smooth it made her legs. She developed a sensitivity to it, and gave what she hadn't used to me (she was a little upset that she couldn't use it anymore). I only use it on my legs, and it works great. My only complaint is that I use a self-tanner in the winter, and when using Nads, it strips the tanner off my skin. I actually purchased fabric remnants at wal-mart & use them, too; the cloths rinse clean with hot water. Painful? A little. But nothing too bad. Overall, I like this product & use it frequently.

I read almost all the "bad" comments on this product. The one thing that I have to mention is, being a licensed cosmetologist, that it does take practice to use this product and when using any type of hair remover like this will not be painless unless you have built up a tolerence to ripping out hair from your skin. It also helps to have someone who knows what they are doing or consult a professional who can give you a lesson on how to do the proceedure correctly. 1. You do put just a thin layer as big as the strip itself. And be sure to put it on the same way as the hair grows. 2. When you peel it up you need to hold your skin taught and pull up horizontal to the area that you are doing. If you do this it won't hurt as much. Having someone do this for you helps A LOT. I would buy this product again if I had someone to do the proceedure for me. There are places I can't reach and I can't get the same effect that if someone was helping me. Sometimes you have to ask for help instead of trying things yourself. (P.S. There sure are a lot of people who ordered off TV and are having such a hard time getting their money back. With all these products usually at Walmart or places like Bed, Bath, and Beyond you would think that they could have gotten the products there.) But Good Luck to those who are trying.

This product worked very well, and let me tell you, from experience I would know. But, you have to have a little experience with sugaring/waxing your legs. I know because my sister and friends have tried this at the same time as me, and it didn't work for them. You really have to go in the direction of the hair and put not too much but not too little. I do agree that after a while the product gets a little thick and doesn't work as well, so you have to remember that between applications (and this includes when you're smoothing the product onto your legs or wherever) you should close the bottle so that it doesn't get exposed to the air. If you do that then you should be fine. This product really does work very well, especially on the upperlip and on the legs.

I purchased Nads at Walgreens after watching the infomercials for quite some time. I agree that it is overpriced and that they don't give you enough cloth strips, but it does work. If you do it correctly, the strips can be used at least twice, then they start to leave hair on. I've used it for almost a year now. I do want to mention that Sally Hansen now makes a sugar wax product that is EXACTLY like Nads, only better. You get more wax, more strips (they are bigger, but pretty much the same quality as Nads), and it's only 17 bucks at Walgreens!

It only works on the eyebrow area. Everywhere else, it's useless. My wife did not like the product so she tried it on me eyebrows. It's hurts like hell! But it works. Buy it at a local store that allows the product to be refunded so you can return it if it doesn't work for you.

I found that the product worked will initially, but subsequent purchases have not. I think they changed the formula once sales reached a certain level. The original gel was just as advertised, but my next purchase the gel seemed different. It wasn't the same consistency, and it turned sugary too quickly. I would still use it if I could be sure of the quality.

I also bought Nads hair removal stuff... While I will admit it hurts like heck, it does do what it's claimed to do for me...I need only use it every so often (as much as once a month in some places....and as little as every six months in others), and I never worry about cutting myself shaving or scars resulting fom those cuts again! Best of all, my husband is so happy with the end result, he never minds doing it for me! It gives us a chance to be together, and although it does make your skin quite sticky, I've never been averse to taking a shower (sometimes even more than once a day!)...Best of all it's helped my self esteem. While my husband claims he loves me no matter what, I'm tired of feeling like a sasquatch...

Don't know what all you guys are talking about. I've used NADS for years now and I think it's GREAT. Washes off with water easily, removes hair with less pain than wax. Cloth washes off with hot water and then just hang them to dry for the next time. I use an epilady for my legs because its the easiest and the NADS for (more than) the Bikini cut. Are you gals using too much at a time or not pulling the skin somewhat taught? Reread your directions before the complaints.
