We own both of Kevin Trudeau's books and love them. They changed our lives. My son immediately stopped having allergy issues and slimmed down to a great size. My husband lost weight and I have cured a major health issue with his information. I will admit that he has some crazy opinions but I wouldn't right him off as liar. Our country is not what it used to be. We did subscribe to his monthly newsletter and it did cost $9.95 a month. We did know what we were paying for and we did not have any issues canceling that subscription. Would I start it up again? Absolutely! Do we still have the books? YES we do and we still use them for reference.

I have purchase both of Kevin's books through the infomercial. I did make sure that no other charges were going to be made to my card! They have made no other charges to my cards. I love both of the books, and he makes many great points, that were then reverberated when I attended school to become a massage therapist. If you have read the books, you will then know that he doesn't make any extravagant claims, just points out what most intelligent people already know, but does put it into words that some haven't always been able to. I bought books, I didn't plan on them completely changing my life, they didn't. But thanks to these books, I have made many positive changes to the way I eat and live.
Thanks Kevin. Keep up the good work!

I am the owner of two of Kevin's books as they were a package deal. I found the book makes the following valid points: i) Government in the USA is by and for the corporation AND not by and for the individual. (he is not the first to say this) ii) People should try to develop their own opinion on drugs and surgical treatements given sufficient education, information and time. iii) Most people know little or nothing about ways to detoxify the body - making the ideas about all the inner body cleanses worthwhile. iv) There are alternatives to medical doctors MD (drugs & surgery) such as naturopath doctors ND (alternative treatments). After investigating this further I was pleasantly surprised to find that the public healthcare system in my area is supportive of these NDs and pays for their treatments.
On the negative side: Kevin's non-stop book long tirade against the FTC and FDA tends to obscure the worthwhile points he makes about health and detox treatments. Some editing or at least organizing of all the FTC/FDA material into one section or even a separate book may help.

I must admit, I too once bought the book, read it and to my dismay, found that it was full of profit making ways of getting us to sign up on his website and pay to get the real information that Kevin states as being "Natural Cures". I returned the book. Now, I am writing on the defense side of things because although the information in the book lead to somewhat not knowing more than what I knew beforehand, it is still a good book for those who want to be initiated to a more healthy lifestyle, and Kevin is correct in the fact that "They" - government lead profit making pharmaceutical companies, the FDA, the WHO even the Canadian Food Guide, are MISLEADING us into believing that using pills, meds, processed foods (check the list of foods recommended by the canadian food guide - you'll be aghast!) are healthy for you. However, if you really want to change your lifestyle, it is as easy as planting your own garden. Just go back to how the previous generations used to live. We have the commodity (and the blessing) of living in a modern society, therefore the work is much easier on us. Use the right tools and the right mind-set and you can change your lifestyle not based on what one man says is better, but rather based on what nature intended for our body. The complainers are correct in saying that Trudeau is busting us by writing things like "I can't say the recipe here, but check my website out" and then finding out you have to pay to get in. The defenders are correct in saying that Kevin is giving out information that "They" do not want you to know. If you've never read it, get a copy from a friend, or get it from the library before you buy it. I still read the book, I just borrow it from a friend who has a copy but no internet. I have done my share of research on these natural cures... most of which I got from books written 20 plus years ago. I just heard on the news a couple of weeks ago that the sun is good for you, as it may provide enough vitamin D. Is your pharmacist or doctor going to tell you this? Well, duh! of course not. They want to sell their sunscreen. And get paid to do a skin graph in case you get cancer. One of the best anti-cancer preventative food is cabbage. (raw, for that matter) Where do you get this info? From people who know more about natural products than pharmacists ever will, like naturopaths, gardeners, grandparents, herbologists. Even you can make your own studies... just check out the ingredients nature uses to make it's produce!

I borrowed these books from a friend and found the information very helpful. I can not afford the $9.95/month for the membership, but I wish that I could, I would sign up in a heartbeat! The information the Kevin provides is just the tip of the iceberg on what we can do for ourselves and our health. There is a free website associated with the pay one. It's basically a forum of people seeking and offering natural cures and advice and it's free and fabulous and oh-so helpful! For the people who got looped in the monthly charge, too many people don't pay attention to what they are buying. I doubt there was any intentional "scamming" but even in the best of systems, things go awry. I feel bad for these people who had a bad experience on the money aspect of it because they are missing a wealth of information available overall.

Overall, I am a BIG Trudeau fan, but have had a few similiar problems, also, which makes me sad because I believe in Kevin and in what he says and don't want him to be a fraud. First, the positive...I ordered 'Natural Cures' because it said that it had a natural cure for diabetes, which my then-boyfriend has. I received the book in the allotted time. My jaw just kept dropping over and over again as I read the book learning about all the things that we are taught to believe that aren't true. I, like everyone else, expected there to be very specific 'cures' to the different diseases, of which there are some in the part where there are alphabetically listed diseases/health problems in a box, with 'cures' on what to do. However, the point that so many people don't seem to be getting is that the real 'cure' to most health problems is in changing your life-style. He emphasizes this - that by doing the things in Chapter 6, people will start to see ailments disappear. There are no magic pills, like a previous entry said. We are causing these diseases by what we are doing to ourselves by constantly exposing ourselves to toxins and not getting enough nutrients and such. So, the 'cures' are to STOP doing the bad things and start doing the good things! It makes perfect sense to me NOW, that in a money-hungry world, that the drug industry doesn't want us to get better. It took this book to open up my eyes to how the real world works. Kevin Trudeau is my hero for introducing me to all of these natural cures (life-style changes) and cover-ups. Once introduced to these ideas, I began to find out that most of his suggestions are nothing new. Start looking them up on the net or go to a health store and you begin to see that he is just telling us stuff that is already known to many, just not most. He just has be able to reach a bigger audience I am so happy that I am now one of those many who understand that natural is the way to go instead of the old me that believed conventional wisdom. Yes, I have had a few problems with the whole ordering/website, too. I was promised a 'weight-loss' CD with my book that I never received even after calling and telling a rep this. Unlike many others, I heard the part about 'will charge $9.95 for website unless you cancel' and enjoyed the site and had no problem canceling when money got tight. Yet, on the other hand, when I later utilized the one-week free website, I was only able to view it once and then could not get any response when trying to get help to cancel it. You might try what I finally thought to try. I contacted a sister company of Trudeau's, and finally got a great rep that got me my refunds. I began to suspect Trudeau of being fraudulent because of these problems, but decided that even if he is, I still believe in his information. After reading some of the other entries, sounds like it is a different company's fault. Being a huge Trudeau fan, I am very glad to read that. My advise? Buy the books at a store, be VERY open-minded as you read them, don't expect quick-fixes to your ailments, and do your own research, also. For me, his book was the eye-opener to start me on a healthier life, for which I will forever be grateful. So, as long as he is genuine now, (as he admits to past failings,) YOU GO, KEVIN!!!

It is very clear on the infomercial...very clear AND it is very clear when you call in and order. On most of these orders you are asked if you understand the terms of the newsletter - meaning...do you understand that you will be charged if you do not cancel AND then you are asked to freakin' verify the last 4 digits of the credit card you are using to constitute your electronic signature!! HELLO..anybody in there?? Yeah..that's authorizing a charge..and yeah..whether you want to admit it or not..you authorized it. If you weren't so busy being rude and telling the representative that you need to hurry and get off the phone, and how you don't have time blah blah blah. Like most people who don\'t like the people you have to talk to purchase products seen on tv. Those people have nothing to do with the company itself. Like many defenses those people are required to keep you on the phone and get as much money as posable out of you. They represent many different companies. Should Kevin use a different call base, yes I beleive so. However this third party company should not make you think badly of Kevin. Does he spend too much time talking about the FDA, etc. Yes, however some people have a hard time believing what he is saying. Unfortunalely what he is saying is true. That is why he focuses so much on that stuff. For example. Propolene Glycol is a very dangerous ingredient. And yet, it is in everything. Even in baby wipes, or infant Tylenol. One company even went so far as to list PG in the ingredients that are soothing for the skin. What he has to say it very true!!! Don\'t let his sailsman personality turn you off. This stuff he says is true and very scary. He may not be able to list product for product on what to take to cure this or that, because there are no quick fixes. To fix your health problems it takes a lifestyle change. Which is diffecult for most people. But believe me when I say the steps he says to do to become healthier work. You can cure incurable diseases naturealy. Diabeteis can be cured. Cancer can be cured. Do the research. Do the diet changes. Do the detoxing. There is so much information out there. What Kevin does well is wake people up. From there it is on you. Don\'t let me company he has hired to take his orders spoil you on his company. He may not be a doctor. But what he says is true. You just have to learn how to talk to the company that takes the orders. His book saved my life! This is no understatement. I am now a nutritional, health, and life style consultant because of his book. I would not be here today if it was not for me reading his book and acting opon his recomendations. Of course I have done a lot of research on my own, it did not all come from him. He is a great reference to start at though. Think of it as Health 101 for dummies. The rest is up to you.

Hi I\'m a healthy male late 40\'s and encountered a situation that made me more interested in learning about alternative medicines. I have read through some of the compliants. I bought all three books. It seemed a little annoying as the handling was $9.99 per \"free book\" well in reality book, I thought ok I\'ll tollerate the surcharge as you can\'t run a business giving away hardbound books. Look yes Trudeau could tone it down about his past challenges with FTC and his crusade to be heard and stay on subject matter better. Yes towards the end of Natural Cures I notice numerous typo\'s and grammer mistakes, and I thought I was had the franchise on poor grammer. Not True. In short let me give credit where credit is due. Trudeau is right on track. He might not give you all the details you need but reader where have you been all your life.Use the internet type you search words in and read on. I never open my eyes to how I really consume, weight lose protacol seems overwhelming to do all the steps but implementing little steps little by little you will see improvement. Not all bodies work the same. I however had a good clense and there is no other way to state I\'m regular and understand expelling toxins better. After my cleanse I was told on two different occassions my skin looked better. I never really used much table salt, but rest assure I now use sea salt, I now use the coconut oil to cook with and avoid the traditional vegitable oil. I recently bought strips to looked at my Ph level and found them to be in alkaline state as it is suggested in the book prevent desease. I took my daughters and a friend and the one daughter the better eater was less acidic and the youngest was very acidic. I felt compelled to keep working with my daughters. I scared my friend as she continues to complian about pain and feeling tired and her acidity was high, maybe the information is better In short I had an issue with elevated Nitrates and Crestine in my Blood, the motivating factor while currently without commercial health insurance, however access to the VA. This was alarming I felt tired, didn\'t know if I had a problem with my Kidneys. I was motivated, and I won\'t believe everything I read I took Trudeau as a foundation to start learning how approach natural cures. Although I didn\'t get a specific answer to Creastine and Elevated nitrates, those level seemed to return to normal ranges (slightly) elevated. As far as the newletter I opted not to get pulled into that deal realizing that I am capable of searching the internet. I am cautiously optimistic that I have a handle on techniques to elevate pH level to alkaline, weight lose besides the traditional sweating and fad diets, There are too many positive thing inside these book to say there are a scam, shame on those who haven\'t the time to validate what they read with additional sources. His information whether original or not has given guidenance and I am confident and feel I have control over my health and wellness. Good luck to those for a mere $44 I got plenty of information. What Trudeau need is a good editor and get his message out in a more concise manner would make his book more tollerable to read.

As a customer service rep for a company that sells Kevin Trudeau/Natural Cures products, I can see why so many people are claiming Kevin to be a fraud, especially concerning this \"never-ending charge\" for the newsletter, however people are so quick to jump on something \"free\" they don\'t bother listen to the details. Come on people, since when is anything in this world free? The sales reps have a script right in front of them that they are REQUIRED BY LAW to read word for word. So many people accept the free 30-day trial to the newsletter without hearing the \"unless you call to cancel, you will be charged $9.95 a month\" part. And what amazes me even more is when customers call in a year later complaining about this recurring charge. Not my fault you haven\'t taken a look at your credit card statement in 12 months! And as for being on hold for 20 minutes to get through to a customer service rep, that is about average, people don\'t take into consideration the fact that the book is selling thousands per day, meaning thousands of customers calling in each day to track their order, cancel the newsletter, request a refund, etc., all it takes is patience! And as for people not receiving refund on returned products, about 99.9% of refunds that are not issued are because customer\'s receive their order then turn around and refuse it. As anyone knows that orders anything, whether off the radio, television or through a catalog, you never send a package back without calling customer service -whatever company you\'re ordering a product from- and getting a return authorization number. That way, orders can be simply tracked and refunds issued in a timely manner. Another thing people don\'t take into consideration is the fact that shipping and handling charges are non-refundable! Not just for Natural Cures products but for many products that you have shipped to your house! The promotion on tv is clear- Both Natural Cures books are free, all we ask is you pay $9.95 shipping and handling...the post office doesn\'t work for free. And when customers decide \"Oh, I don\'t like the book\" and send it right back without even opening their package to see the Return Policy and demand a refund- I\'m sorry but it\'s IMPOSSIBLE. I\'m not just defending Kevin Trudeau, Natural Cures or any of the call centers that sell his products, it\'s any call center...when you order something off the TV/radio/Internet, you run the risk of getting something you don\'t like because you can\'t see it right in front of you as opposed to at a store where you can flip through the pages of the book(s), decide if it\'s for you or not and pay the $29.95 cover price. It\'s all about paying attention.

I\'m 61 and have been taking Fosamax (for osteoporosis prevention), Synthroid (for low thyroid), and Lipitor & Vitorin (for high cholesterol. We all now know that Fosamax causes osteonecrosis (death of bones, in this case jaw bones) and Lipitor causes fatty liver and impeded liver function. I quit taking all of them 3 months ago. Some young women I know have been mentoring me into the practices found in Nourishing Traditions, so I\'d begun to get healthy. After my conventional doctor told me I am now diabetic (things are running downhill fast), a friend told me about a doctor who practices \"functional medicine.\" Instead of saying, \"Oh, your thyroid is low - take this prescription,\" he said, \"Your thyroid is low; let\'s find out why.\" Turns out I\'m extremely low in IODINE, which is essential for thyroid function and that CHLORINE and FLUORIDE attach to iodine receptors. I\'m on an iodine supplement for this problem. He looked at the glucose readings I\'d done for a month and told me I\'m NOT diabetic. This doctor did testing I\'d never had done in my life - measuring all aspects of my bio-chemistry - and determined I am missing many essential vitamins, minerals, and nutrients. In addition to the vitamins, I\'m now taking dietary supplements that include magnesium, CoQ10, ALA, EPA, DHA, GLA and DHEA (things I was clueless about) and on my way to health. By my age, I\'ve concluded (on my own) that greed runs rampant in our country, that there are probably cures for cancer and many other diseases (where DOES all the research money go - where\'s the fruit???), and that the FDA is definitely in bed with the pharmaceutical companies (just watch the ads offering free medical supplies and medications for participation in their \"program\" (which is the testing formerly required by the FDA BEFORE drugs could be marketed). So, two weeks ago, when a friend lent me his copy of Kevin Trudeau\'s Natural Cures, I was primed to hear what he has to say and found it validating and encouraging. What he says is in line with what I\'ve experienced and learned. I\'m spending this Labor Day weekend replacing all chemical products with organic ones and researching air and water purification systems. I agree with all those who say that, if nothing else, Kevin has motivated us to get on the stick and take charge of our health!
