This is a wonderful book. It is so easy to understand and it has tremendously helped me.  It really opened up my eyes regarding Psychiatric Drugs.  Mr. Trudeau is not a medical doctor, but he is a very knowledgeagle caring individual and I am really thankful that I found his book.  His statements, made me realized that I needed to do research about what psychotic drugs were doing to my brain.    I went to my local library to find his book recommendations. (You do not need to spend hundreds of dollars).  End of the story. I am completely off the psychotic drugs!!!!!!.  I am myself again, I am in tune my feelings.  I had been taking 150 mg of Zoloft and Altivan for the last 18 months.  I've read the books and I gradually started tapering off the drugs.  It took about 2 months, and I have not taken any for the last 2 weeks.  Remember you need to research an be informed informed, informed. The withdrawal symptons mimic the depression feelings, it is important to know this, so that you may not get discouraged and return to the drugs.  But this decision is for yourself, and you must make your own decision and take responsability to research and be informed.  My next life change is to loose some weight, following Mr. Trudeau's recommendation.  I will have another positive anedote in the following month. May God Bless your efforts to live a better life. Sincerely, A Happy Customer.P.S.  Remember all this resources available for free at your local library.

I bought the book at a bookstore...like you are supposed to. I read through the book and actually used the apple cidar vinegar remedy for stomach problems... absolute success. Im sorry that all of you have had the problems with customer service and such. However this book does effectively blow the whistle on our corrupt FDA policies towards drugs. If nothing at all that alone is worth the price of the book. I agree that the subscription newsletter is a waste and he makes himself look bad when he bait and switches on topics like cancer diabetes and such. But since I have read his book I have researched so much on the alternative movement and I have learned a great deal. let me break it down simple for you guys. Work out Eat Right CLEAN YOUR COLON!! Dont take drugs, any. instead look for MDs that use natual medicines. and for god sakes dont give your social or credit card number over the phone. PS the best natural treatments and discussions on treatments are at...

I must let everyone know, after seeing "hard sale" live in person, don't blame that head guy you see on the commercial so quickly.  He(she) probably has not even a clue what his "service reps" are doing.  You see, they are only paid when they make a sale; when you agree to buy and buy some more, and they can send over to the finalization(usually credit card) payment agreement.  Trust me, I "worked" for a company for 8 short hours, watched their practises, and also watched them be shut down by RCMP and BBB.  When you're trained, you're trained to Sell Everything You Possibly Can.  If that means Joe's credit card gets charged once a month...big deal, I already made 20 bucks for setting up his request, talking circles around him, and getting his info.  Customer service reps at these companies are trained in the same classroom.  They are not taught to sell, sell, sell; rather they are taught how to wind a long and twisty lie, buy time, and prevent loss of sale.  Nobody is there to help you.  Think about it, nurses and doctors are paid to help, these people don't even need a High School diploma in order to assist you.  The guy on the commercial selling his book is guilty, yes, for not running his company on the line, but think about that room full of people, answering phones, weaving their way into your personal info, and selling to you even after you say no.  They are the real criminals.  By the way, I think watching "Boiler Room" should be a prerequisite for anyone with a credit card.

After reading the complaints I called the # 1847-777-7132. I cancelled my order with no questions asked and no pressure to keep it.  I will update when I am sure I am not charged for it.

I have read this book and was very intrigued by it.  Fortunately, I did not buy this book but checked it out at my local library.  I have heard some horror stories about people who have ordered the book from the infomercials.  I recommend checking your library to see if they have the book or have them do an Interlibrary Loan (borrow the book from another library)for you.  If you do decide to buy the book I would recommend buying it from [].com or someplace like it so you won't have to deal with red tape and be suckered into buying newsletters and memberships.  As far as Kevins book I do agree with a lot of what he suggests to do of how to get rid of toxins in our bodies and how to stay healthy.   But most of the time he is trying to coax you into going to his website and buying the membership and he will give you more information.  You do not need to get membership to find out about natural cures.  Do your own research on natural cures and naturopathic healing and you will find tons of FREE information.  But I do highly recommend reading Kevins book because he has excellent suggestions.  He also lists several other websites in the back of his book where you can get more information.   Personally, I have done a lot of my own research on natural healing and I am taking an enzyme supplement and trying to avoid man made products and eat more organic foods.   Since doing these two things I have noticed a big change in my health and have lost 10 lbs effortlessly.  I can't wait to try the other things Kevin suggests in his book but I will be doing my own research and not join his website membership.

This is a rebuttal not for the book/product but for those that feel they've been scammed when they order. I am a call center agent that takes calls for these books. Yes, you are offered different products that we MUST present in order to keep our jobs. We do not necessarily agree or disagree with a product but we are obligated and contracted to read our "script" and offer all the upsells, related to the book, or others. Please, please, please....LISTEN to the infomercial AND read the fine print on the screen BEFORE calling to order anything. As for the Natural Cures book, Kevin DOES say that, for $14.95 for the book, all he asks is that you TRY the newsletter. Yes, you will be billed but can cancel as soon as you hang up the phone, actually. Please don't get mad at the person on the other end of the phone taking your information. YOU decided to call and order the book...we just do our job by taking the information AND offering additional products that we are required to offer.

I know first hand what the offers are, I actually "take calls" for Kevin's books and newsletters. Most of the time people call to order without hearing the whole commercial...thats why they are surprised by the trial newsletter subscription billed annually.  I inform any customers that if they don't want the newsletters with the free gifts (weight loss cd and pass issues of the newsletter), they can order just the book by mail or on the website.  I was informed the offer has been reworded and should be easier for those who didn't watch the whole program to understand the offer better and gives more options.  I started out just skimming the book when my copy arrived, and originally was not impressed and the lack of a keyword index (would be nice to have)but you really need to spend some time and read on to get the information you need. The book is worth the money you spend on it, and whether or not you get the newslettes which by the way feature alot of information (from the evils of artifical sweeteners to the hazards related to flu shots etc from the Oct 05 and Nov 05 issues)...basically we are what we eat...think about it.

I've just read a lot of complaints about Kevin's book.  It does seem to rant and rave too much about the government, doctors who don't "cure" anything, which to some degree I agree with.  However, it was worth what I paid for it.  There is some good valid information in the book however,  that is why I bought it.  I know for a fact that cancer can be cured, I've heard several testimonies to the fact.  Kevin has merely put together a lot of facts that he found from other sources.  Most people will not do what they need to do to make themselves better.  I have changed some of my eating habits, and taken out the microwave (I hated this one), but I beleive that it is bad for you.  I've always eaten healthy, but I know I can improve my health.  I did a candida cleanse and I do feel better.  I have to change slowly and follow the advise he has given before I can downgrade his book.  I also was charged a $70 fee for a subscription.  I called and they removed from my credit card.  I had no trouble at all getting this done.  They were very helpful.  I say skip all the down talk (we all have common sense about that)  and read further till you find the recommendations.  Follow them before you make a choice.  Yes, Kevin makes lots of money off this, but who doesn't and yes you can find out the same things for your health.  A good place to start would be the health laws givin in the old testament, then the internet.  See what works for you.  Take a positive look at yourself.   Unless you are willing to do what it takes to make yourself better, then you are wasting your time buying the book, and that could only be who's fault????

I thought in fairness I should post an update.  After an extremely LONG time on hold a very polite customer service person came on the line and refunded the $71.40 charge for the unwanted newsletter.   The other charges were correct for what I had ordered-the telemarketer I spoke to had erred in her computation.

I bought Trudeau's Natural Cures "They" Don't Want You To Know About about 2 months ago and I read through it and I feel everything the book talks about is right on the money, esspecially about how drugs are harmful and cause deseases and about the dangers of fast food and how it makes you fat. I have lost about 28 pounds doing some of what Kevin suggests! I even feel better nowdays too and I would highly recommend this book to anyone! I even try to have a link on my website(s) so someone can order this amazing book online because I feel everyone that cares about their health should have this book! Whoever in the right mind that complains about this book must be a drug company or a drug Company employee.

I take calls for the infamous natural cures book and I hate taking them. I will tell you if you do take the deal pass in order to get the $50 gift card you have to at least use the deal pass in the first 30 days or you dont recieve it. It clearly states that you must try it. Now for the charge of 71.40 that is also clearly stated it says its billed 5.95 a month annually which means the whole entire thing. Unless the customer ask for the total I am not allowed to let them know either. Oh also I take calls for this on another line and we dont get totals so usually we just give total of the book with shipping. I think the shipping is to high to begin with anyways. I to think its a scam but what can I do

While I cannot defend this product, I know people are very upset about the upsells.  Let me explain something...first, these calls are being handled by people working for a tele-sales company (I worked with them for a while, and the calls for "THE BOOK" are the worst!) and they are REQUIRED to read all those upsells, because that's what the client (Natural Cures) is paying for...these people can actually be fired if their call is randomly pulled and it's found they are not reading all those upsells.  If you call back that same 800 number, they can give you the customer service number, though I doubt you'll ACTUALLY get an answer.

I am afraid most of you that have written to say negative things about his book are not looking into the book very well. I say this because if you had heard him correctly he said in the book and on television he was not able to say all of the cures in depth or give the resources in the book because of the fact that he would get sued. free speech yes but only to a point.  I bought the book and read it through and through, yes not all the cures are given but it is only because he would be sued. You are probably thinking if you joined his website you would be ripped off as well this is not true for I am a member and have had no problem. I have read over 30 different cures and have tried over half of them and they have worked for my family and myself. Maybe the source in which you received your book is the problem. Don't take what you read  or hear as it is . When I first read all this I was surprised and began to research my self and tried these things myself and I  found what he said to be true. He is able to give all the informaton in detail of virtually any cure online because it's  like you going to his private home and telling you all this its his private website so he can and even on his own website he has to be careful what he says but i assure you all the cures are there and available with the only fee of $9.95 membership. And the only time you see and offer is for more infomatonal books and where you can reach them.  This is no flse or mis leading scam!! Take a look!

I bought this book and read it from beginning to end. Although it misleads you about having natural cures for a specific disease, it does give you guidlines for overall health. I am 53. Kevin enlightened me to the fact that there is so much toxicity that we ingest, which compromises our immune systems , its no wonder we get sick. I have followed his suggestions on eating organic food, detoxification. I have never felt better in my whole life. I have a flat stomach,158lbs from 166, I have so much energy , eat almost all day and gain no weight, I am always in a great mood and have a great sex drive. So although he does mislead you about specific natural cures, the other advice is to make you aware of your overall health and how the pollution, pesticides, chemicals in our drinikng water and food, is what is causing us americans to be fat and sick. Stop whining and take control of your own health. Use the advise he give you in the book.

I got this book as a gift not long ago, and I haven't been able to put it down. I always suspected that it was "all about the money" and people thought I was just talking nonsense. It was very refreshing to see all my suspicions confirmed in a book. Mind you, I think Mr. Trudeau got a bit carried away with his constant ramblings about "its all about the money", but he does mention in the beginning of the book that he wants to repeat that over and over again so that we understand. I UNDERSTAND now. Also, he may not state natural ingredients/recipies for specific cures. (ie: 1 cup of St. John's Wort, a dash of sea salt = cure for cancer!) BUT, he does open your eyes to the truth, and how to live a healther lifestyle. I can confirm that ever since I started taking the Coral Calcium, Noni Juice etc.. I feel more energized and healthier than ever! While I don't intend on spending $500 on a lifetime membership, I am happy with this book, and don't feel it is a waste of money or time at all. I find it very informative, and a useful tool in searching online for more truth!

I also work with a company that takes calls for infomercials and boy do I get some rude people! I agree with alot of the things Kevin has to say(I own the book) but I dont like the fact that he doesnt have scientific proof to back it up. He sure does talk alot tho. This book is a Great eye opener, and it does help you to take better care of yourself, there are no cures in here people so please please please dont call us to ask us what is the book about, does it have a cure for cancer? or for ms? and dont call to tell us that Kevin got arrested and start cussing us out. I am not kevin, I do not work in his office. and yes! yes! yes! shipping is high, why you ask? have you taken the time to look at gas prices? how much gas do you think it takes to get your packages from california to new york? if we were paying 1$ a gallon for gas, im positive shipping would be 2 or 3 $ instead of 10$ Try it for yourself, go to your post office and try to mail a fairly heavy book plus the package and see how much you spend. Please, if you are gonna call to order and your gonna be a pain, you always have an option of going online or touch dial ordering.

10/1/2005 - Jane writes:
I wanted you people to understand one thing. The people who take your order...DO NOT WORK FOR NATURAL CURES...they are independent contractors working for a company that Natural Cures has contracted to take their orders. I am one of those people. I have received allot of nasty calls about this product, however you must understand this is the order taking contractor. I am not Kevin, nor do I work for him. I work for me. Please don't call the number you ordered the book from. Call Natural Cures at 1-847-777-7131. Remember when you call about any product on an infomercial, we are contractually obligated to try to sell you other products, but No Means No and I personally will finish the order and end the call.
