P90X is definitely NOT a scam. There may be issues with ordering it through the website. (although I talked to them on the phone and they were perfectly cordial and coherent, ended up buying on [] though.)
But the program itself is most definitely not a scam.
If you want to get a great, challenging work out then P90X is the way to go. Perhaps purchasing through a different entity though?
I will say I ordered the chin-up bar through beachbody on [] and everything went well. No extra charges, shipped in a reasonable amount of time, and they even game me positive feedback!
So don't be discouraged if what you read here is negative. The sales tactics may be a bit disjointed, but find it somewhere else and purchase it there. P90X is truly a great program.

I purchased 10 minute workout online from BB, liked it so much I ordered the deluxe package and also turbo jam for my girlfriend. No problems, but I didn't say yes to any of the bonuses they offered through the check out process. I saw that they were opt out services and I usually avoid them.
Those products are great. I also ordered the chin-up bar, which doesn't fit in any of my doors. Just called up customer service, they were friendly and gave me an RMA. I guess I am out for shipping, which sucks but not unexpected.

P90X Love it! no hassels no problems with the product itself. I ordered it off of their website. Every other screen was an annoying ad for something additional, however I got it fast and as promised. They didnt tell me a billing cycle so I bounced a few things when the first payment came out. But the product is great, Love the recipes too.

Ok, I bought the P90 X DVD's off [] for $80. I have been doing P90x for 5 weeks and all I can say is that it works. I am stronger, have more endurance and I can see my six pack abs starting to come on.
Seems like all of the complaints here are about the customer service and not about the program itself.
If you're looking for a great workout and you're willing to make a commitment P90X will work for you!
But it from [ ]! Then you won;t have to deal with anybody else.

I wanted to say that I've had a few problems with my Beachbody orders, but their online customer support is outstanding. It seems like they've made a real effort to address some of the problems that people have expressed here, and I have had all my issues resolved right away. I recommend using the Live Chat option if you need to make a change to your order, or report a shipping mistake. Beachbody makes quality products that really work. Don't be afraid to try them. There are literally hundreds of thousands of happy Beachbody customers and you can interact with them directly on the message boards at Beachbody's website. They have a very supportive and motivational online community - perhaps the best I've ever had the pleasure to encounter. Overall this is a fantastic company!

Saw the Power 90 infomercial one night in '04 I believe, my wife and I decided to order it. We called the 800 number and had no problems with the customer service rep (they are required to offer all the other stuff so give them and break and just keep saying no, don't get mad). cost was $80 dollars US i believe. used the product for a couple of months loved the results and then stopped because i was bored with the routine. they sent us a free copy of Ho Ala Ke Kino with our order which is a 30 minute power yoga routine so we did that off and on for a year to stay fit then started the P90 routine again. Then saw an infomercial about P90X, ordered it through the website (highly recommend it because it's quicker and no room for human error on the other side). Product fully delivered, amazing workout and I would happily pay $150 again, one of the cool things about it is if your disks are ever damaged they'll replace them for free minus shipping. Now they have P90X-Plus, haven't ordered it yet because I have been slacking and am only in Power90 shape right now but just started the P90X again and will order P90X-Plus with a huge smile on my face. Changed my life thanx Tony Horton!

I was totally amazed at all of the complaints that I've read here. I had none of the problems that anyone complained about. The only negative experience that I had was with a sales rep over the phone. He cold called me trying to interest me in buying their vitamins and couldn't seem to understand the word "no" and simply hung up on my ear. Other than that, I never had any problems. That was over a year ago anyways and I never received any more calls. I didn't use my Power 90 until recently. I purchased it nearly 2 years ago with the desire to lose weight but quickly gave up due to the intensity of the workout. It was a few weeks ago that I finally decided to give it a try. I have lost 17 pounds in 3 weeks and my pants are falling off my rear-end. People at my job are making comments on how my belly is looking flat and my face is thin. I am taking the workouts seriously as well as my diet. I decided to make the workouts even more intense by adding the maximum amount of weight that I can handle lifting to meet the reps. I just love the energy that I have during the day now. I can sleep bad now and still have abundant energy to work all day without feeling drowsy and lethargic. This product is not for you if you are not disciplined. They recommend that you follow the workout six days a week. Sculpting is on day one, three and five and you will do the cardio on day two, four, six and day seven is your rest day. The sculpting video is approx. 30 minutes and the cardio is approx. 40 minutes because it ends with an ab routine that is about 4.5 minutes long. The exercises are not difficult but physically demanding. Tony Horton does give you suggestions as to what to do if you are tired or have problems with certain exercises. The Cardio is a killer in the beginning but the second half is much better. He first gets your heart really pumping but the second half is more of throwing kicks and punches that burns calories but doesn't make you feel that you are going to fall over in exhaustion. You need to ask how determined are you before purchasing the Power 90. If you are the type that purchases tapes to exercise but never end up using them then this is not for you. This is an intense workout designed to get your butt in shape. If you have a heart condition or other problems then simply follow Tony Horton's suggestions on how to take it easy while working out. Even though the workout is intense, not one of them ever caused my muscles to be sore the next day. I leave the workout feeling good. I find Tony Horton and Beach Body to be honest people. They convinced me that Power 90X was not for me. Most companies will always try to get you to buy anything just to get your money. Power 90X was made clear that it was not for me at this time and that I should use the Power 90 that I already have first. I don't know how to answer the complaints. That is a shame that it has happened to them. I do know that at [] this system is offered. Buy it there and you shouldn't have any problems with delivery or price. [] is great when you have a complaint and they deal with it quickly. If you are undecided because of the complaints then keep something in mind. You will noticed that every person that complained that used the product claimed that it was "working" and that should be proof for you that results can be expected.

I first ordered P90 and after having great success with the program have ordered other programs (slim in 6, hip hop abs, etc) and am considering the new P90x. I have entered into the monthly membership twice and after the first 30 days cancelled with absolutely no issues. I love their vitamins and do their 2-day fast every few weeks. I love beach body. They have great products and their customer service is no better or worse than any other online retailer. I do feel like you have to make sure you are ordering what you really want...checking the right boxes etc. But other than that, the products do really work.

I bought P90 several months ago, and have had no problems whatsoever with the company charging me for extra items. I have to wonder if the people who are experiencing problems didn't read all the fine print as they were checking out. I used to work for a magazine company and person after person, every day, would call up and say they were getting things they never signed up for. They didn't seem to realize that sometimes when you buy things, especially online, you may have to check boxes to indicate that you DON'T want something. If I remember right, when I bought P90 there were several instances when additional products were offered, but I simply indicated that I didn't want them. It DOES NOT take that long to read through offers and make sure you only get what you really want. The program is a good one, but like any other business, they are going to try to sell you everything they can. If you live in this day and age and still don't realize that it is a Buyer Beware society out there... not only are you an idiot, you have no right to complain. You need to be on the defensive when buying ANYTHING.

Although I was at first pleased with all of the free items that they offer with the initial offer, I didn't want to increase my initial purchase fee due to separate S/H charges for each free item. It was easy to decline the bonus items and my credit card was never charged aside from my agreed upon amounts. The product was delivered promptly and I'm noticing significant improvements in my health and strength and I'm only 45 days through the first 90 day cycle.

I had been chubby all through school, through college. When I was about 23 I ordered Power 90 after watching the informercial at 3am during a Mountain Dew and Flaming hot Cheetos binge. At first I regretted it, but then I decided to buckle down and give it a try. After a few false starts I eventually lost 30 lbs and had this amazing athletic body, balance, strength, and I looked hot! Power 90 works! I did buy the additional supplements and bands, but then canceled after a few months. I looked so great people were pulling me aside and asking me how I did it. I found this site because I made the mistake of buying the tapes on VHS originally and now I want to upgrade to DVD. good luck, folks!

The DVDs are a great concept: working out in the privacy of the home without the concerns of having to drive somewhere, buying lots of equipment, or the concern of other people gawking at you while you're exercising. And, it works. After reading the reviews posted here on infomercialscams.com and other sites, I cautiously ordered the Power 90 DVD via their web site in mid March. It took a little over a week to arrive. I suggest ordering online - it allows you take your time, read all the fine print, and then decide if you want those "extras" or not. All I ordered was the Power 90 DVD set as a one-time charge, I got exactly what I ordered, nothing more, nothing less. No phantom charges either. I can't comment on their supplements. I would suggest focusing on a proper diet (good tips are included with the DVD set) and going through the exercise routines for a week or so first, and then decide later whether you even need supplements. I did finally purchase some vitamin supplements and energy bars at a local store two weeks ago to help offset any negative effects of reduced food intake. The price I paid at the local store was similar in price as the beachbody website. Like Tony recommends in the videos, I had to hit the pause button a LOT for the first few sessions, but I'm now hanging with the 3-4 level Sculpt and Cardio sessions without pause. Just remember when Tony says "pause", he doesn't mean "stop". He does show alternate movements that can be used for the more strenuous routines until the strength and stamina develops. My results may not be typical, but I have gone from 233 pounds and 42-inch waist to 218 pounds and 39-inch waist in the first 30 days of the program. Yes, 30 days. I'm happy where I am now, and looking forward to the next 60 days.

I got what I ordered. The power90 workout dvd\'s the guides and the calender. I also ordered the supplements. I got exactly what I ordered and in the process went from 260 to 200 in 5 months. I have tried many different diet and workout programs. I would have to say this product is awesome and combinds so many different exercises and gives you a total body workout. use there website. worked for me. Everyone complaining about being overwet and not losing anything. Try eating right and following the program. I lost 60 lbs. Adam

Their programs work, take much less time and money than a gym membership and the people in the videos are fantastic to work out with.

A woman who lives near me looks amazing...then I found out she does Beachbody workouts. Because I am aware of this infomercial scam website I did a little research before ordering. I decided to get my DVDs thru another source: good old []. Just received the DVDs 3 days ago, have done 3 workouts and so far so good. The first DVD is not very well made professionally, but it gets my heart rate up and it is kind of fun. I like his style.

I saw the infomercial numerous times and finally decided to order the product. I only wanted the DVDs nothing further. When I called and requested the product I was offered a ton of other things that I could sign up for. I had to keep saying, "no thanks, I can buy that at the store." Yes it took 30 minutes to finally confirm my order of only the DVD program. 4-6 weeks later I received my package. I never used the internet package. My supplements were purchased from a nutrition shop and the resistance band came from a department store. I think you just have to be clear with what you want when ordering. Keep saying you only want the DVD and you'll be fine.
