I have been using PROACTIV SOLUTION for 3+ years. It is the only product tough enough to keep my skin clear AND when i say skin, I mean my WHOLE BODY because I used to have full body acne before proactiv but now my skin is normal. Still have occasionally minor pimples (from eating too much chocolate, etc. I need to quit) but mostly clear skin. PLUS they even have VITAMINS now! Help fight the internal factors that cause acne (cause on some people fighting external is not enough). I cant wait to try those too! Not sure which product of PROACTIV i luv more! refining mask, cleanser, etc.

This works for me. I do not have heavy acne, just lots of little pimples that are just always there. I also have very sensitive skin. I got this to help me with these little breakouts. I did not purchase from the infomercial. I hate how most places do their business over the phone. I got mine from []. I know they have good customer service. I like the products but only use them once a day, and the mask once or twice a week. I do not want to anger my sensitive skin. When you first use it, you do get some breakouts from where it is getting out the dirt and such but then it is all smooth sailing. Im sure this is not for everyone and should be tested first. Go with an order from []. They give you a month to try and send back items and you do get a refund. Like I said better customer service.

My daughter has used proactiv with great success for over a year. She had acne all over her forehead, nose and chin and it was almost immediately better after she started proactiv. When I noticed it starting to pop up again, I talked it her and found that she was not using the three products as recommended. When she used all three together, it cleared right up. I have had no complaints about the shipping or money issues. I have easily changed configurations of products on line to meet needs. If she has plenty of product, I have adjusted the time period so delivery does not come until she needs it. I have been very satisfied with the product and company. I am sorry that it does nto work for everyone, but it is certainly worth trying. Just remember to use the products as they suggest and use sun screen.

It never fails to surprise me (though it probably should after all these years!) how gullible people are when it comes to believing everything commercials tell them. There is absolutely no product on earth that will fix everyone's acne every time. Strangely, we all have different skin that reacts in different ways. Proactiv works for some people and not for others. Hey, it works for me and that makes me happy. I've had products prescribed for me by doctors that have had side effects, such as rashes, eczema, severe drying, etc. It's the nature of the beast. Don't expect every product advertised to do what it claims to do to you; you have to try it and take your chances. Win some, lose some. No matter how much they test it, they can't ever make it work for everyone.
For those of you who want the government to shut down Proactiv because it doesn't do what it claims to, keep in mind that you, the consumer, have to do your own research. And the first thing you'll find is that NO cosmetic products, be they face washes, body ranges or makeup, are ever what they claim to be simply because there is no scientific body that regulates them. So the next time you read scientifically tested or other such nonsense on a cosmetic product, think about it - if they do not have to comply to the same sort of rigorous testing as, say a drug company, scientific testing means whatever they want it to.
In the meantime, try Proactiv. If it works for you, bonus. If it doesn't, it doesn't mean the company is trying to pull a fast one - it means it ain't for you. Try something else.

Proactiv has actually been working for me. I developed acne later than many people did, I didn't get it until my senior year in high school and when it came, it hit HARD. I didn't take senior pictures, I didn't go to prom and tried to avoid taking photos during graduation. It was that bad and I let my senior year be ruined as a result and it should have been one of the best years I could have in school. That was back in 2003.
Since then, I've pretty much nuked my face with just about every product out there. Some things like [] and [] stuff worked, but they never seemed to do much about the acne under the skin as well as the harder bumps (forgot what they're called) that usually leave darker spots. I've been using Proactiv since November of last year and it has worked wonders. I still have breakouts, but they are far more subdued and as a result a lot of my marks have faded away.
I would probably say the only discomfort I have is that ever since using proactiv the skin tone on my face has darkened a bit. I actually have pictures of last year around the holidays and comparing to myself now and you can see the difference. If you were standing in front of me and I lifted up my head, you could see where one tone ends and the other begins. It's not too bad and my dermatologist said it's only temporary, but that bit bothers me. For one, it started as a result of me using proactiv, so for it to fade I would need to stop using proactiv, but doing so might cause my acne condition to worsen back to before I was using proactiv. It's definitely a situation of being between a rock and a hard place. But that minor discomfort I can live with if it means not having to deal with such bad acne anymore. If I could find a better alternative, I'd use it, but thus far Proactiv has been the only one that has worked so thoroughly and consistently.

I have been using proactiv for over 7 years now, maybe more, i dont really remember when i started. but this is the ONLY thing that works for my skin. i have oily skin, i'm in my 30's now and am still acne prone. I'm an esthetician and understand that you have to give any product at least 4-6 weeks to take effect on your skin. you also have to be careful if you have sensitive skin, it will irritate you. I started out using it and got extremely dry. i followed the instructions and used it once a day or every other day and didnt use the repairing lotion every night. it made a world of a difference. if i run out of the cleanser, i break out again because nothing else will work for me. i've been to dermatologists but they only helped for so long and the medicine didnt work any longer. i tried so many products that claim to do the same thing and they all failed. once i found this i was so grateful. as many of us know, its very difficult and frustruating to deal with breakouts and have nothing help you. i had it so bad and would cry. i love this product, personally, and will stick with it. i know some people who have also said it didnt work for them. we all have different skin conditions and types so when you find something that works, stick with it.

I have been using this product for over 2 years and i LOVE it. I have breakouts once a month but i get those huge gross under the skin zits that seem to last for 2 weeks or so. This product made my skin beautiful all the time, with out make up. Well, when i first started using it i noticed it made my skin and lips (no, i dont use it on my lips) so so dry and itchy. My friend told me to stick with it but only use it once every 2 days. I did that and slowly worked my way up to twice a day. All the redness and dryness went away. Well... fast forward 2 years. I ran out of Proactiv and just didnt go out and buy more. I hadnt had a breakout in a long time. I figured maybe i had grown out of it, i am 27 by the way. That was a bad idea, for more than one reason. I started breaking out all the time, not just once a month. So i went out and got more product after 2 or 3 months. I used it one time, and now i am sitting here, the next morning, with a swollen red, itchy face. Seriously SWOLLEN!! I mean, it looks like my face was stung by a bee. I cant even open my eyes all the way. I dont think there is anything wrong with this product.. i think some people need to just realize that everyones skin is different. I have very sensitive skin and even though i look like a freak right now, this product worked WONDERS for me for years. I am still not going to give up!!

I have been using proactiv for 4 years now and I wouldn’t have it any other way because it works so well. I started out with the pack that has 6, which I think is different then the starter because it has the mask, oil care, and lotion- but im not certain. I have no complaints! I had two girls i went to school with recommend it to me after I complained about zits, and when i tried it at first was skeptical. My acne didn’t clear up probably for the first month or two- but it made my skin feel a lot better. After that my acne went away and i haven’t had it since. i occasionally get a pimple, but literialy will put the mask on the zip that night and it will be pretty much unnoticeably the next day. Ive heard some bad things that your face gets dependant on it, but everything i have gotten from the dermatologist had broken out my face or made it super red , irritated, and super dry(it peeled one time gross and still did not work I think one reason is because they tell you to use it all over your face, and i only have sporadic zits so it irritated my face where my ski was fine) but proactiv made my skin sooo much better i was amazed. If you are thinking of using proactiv i would recommend going to the dermatologist first and making sure your skin isn't too sensitive, because they told my friend she shouldn't use it because of she bad acne and super sensitive skin and that it would irritate it. In my case I really love it! and i buy it from a store, so i dont have to wait for shipping or join any club.
The best thing that worked for me was the mask and the lotion. I have shiny skin and the oil free lotion really makes my skin look hydrated, not oily and pretty. Seriously, I was skeptical at first, but I have been using it for 4 years- I dont know anything else I'm that pleased with to not want to try something else. Every time I see those commercials im like. i wish i would have taken pictures because I would be in them thats how much i love it! ha. But again everyone has different skin, it might work for you and it might not, but i would recommend trying it. i mean you have to take risks when fighting acne, because you have to find the right product for you. Also I believe proactiv does not make your skin immaculate, but managable. If you want immaculate results, i would recommend going to a cosmetic dermatogist for acne or skin problems, but it might cost a lot of money

My mother has had serious problems with acne and Rosacea since her 20's (she's nearing 50 now), and Proactiv has been one of the few products that's truly worked for her. I don't know how so many people aren't satisfied with it, if I ever have skin problems, Proactiv is going to be the first thing I try.

My son uses Proactiv for moderately bad acne. It works quite well, better than [] and similar products. He does have to follow the directions pretty strictly, and he sometimes has to interrupt treatment because of dry, red skin, but overall Proactiv works better for him than anything else we've tried.

Over the years, I have been given prescription topicals and pills... none which worked. I think I've tried almost every over-the-counter product; I just wasted my money. Proactivis the ONLY product that has cleared up my sebaceous cysts. It's heartbreaking to read the complaints about Proactiv being a lifetime product; NO product out there will cure acne.

I ablolutely love Proactiv! Nothing else i have ever tried has worked as well. I have problems with exzema and this product, unlike the countless other acne medicines i have tried in the past, does not dry out my skin. I say be careful because some people do have bad reactions to it, but dont be afraid to try proactiv because it has been a godsend to me.

I got my shipment of proactive on friday & used it friday night & then morning & night on saturday & then only once on sunday becasue I was getting splotchy dry skin.Probably due to the fact that I was using way to much of everything! I probably could have ashe 2-3 faces with the amount I used.So now I have been moisturizing alot & gonna do it once per day for a while instead of twice.I was reading here & maybe I will opt for the sensitive system for my next shipment..any suggestions?

I started using Pro-Activ about a year ago. It has worked great for me. So great infact that now my sister and boyfriend are on it too. We all have seen great result from it. It is a tad expensive but if you were to use a 3 product system from a drug store brand it wouldn't be much cheaper. I do not like the company phone service, they are sketchy and try to decieve you to stay on the program where they send the product every 6 weeks and charge your credit card. So I order mine on e-bay, I only order it when I need it and it is the exact same price.
So over all great product, but I prefer to order it on [].

I am 22 and have been using ProActiv for alomst half a year. The first time I got the kit, I was 18 and like any other teen, I got impatient and stopped using it before it actually had time to work. Just this last year, I decided to buy Proactiv again due to the acne on my face becoming 10x worse than it was when I was 18. With the first 3 piece kit I ordered a few months ago, the acne got worse. Then I reordered the kit again (2nd refill kit) and by the time I finished using that supply, my acne was almost somewhat clear. Now that I have reordered again, and am on my 3rd refill kit, my face is getting super clear. Right now I still have the brown spots on my face from the pimples that have cleared but I'm amazed that these residual brown spots are starting to fade. Yeah, it takes awhile for this stuff to work depending on the severity of the acne and your skin, but I think that by the time they mail me my kit again (for the 4th time) my face will be a lot clearer and that the brown spots will be completely faded by the time that they send me the 5th refill kit. I'm just saying, if you are using it, dont give up. It may take a few kits to clear up your skin but I think it's worth the wait.

I bought Proactive on [] about 4 years ago. I have had acne all my life (I am 50 now) and though antibiotics had cleared it up in the past, I didn't want to have to get prescriptions refilled every month. I have to say it works great. It took maybe a month to clear my skin up. At first it was red-looking but that cleared up after a few days. Once my skin was clear I started using it only at night before I go to bed. I did stop using it for awhile thinking that my acne might be gone, but gradually I began having pimples again so I started back on it.
Now I buy it on [] because I don't use the toner so I only need the cleanser and repair lotion. I can buy a year's supply for $75. Worth every penny!
I think the lesson learned is that not every acne product helps every person. I've tried products that didn't work for me and did work for others.

I have been using Proactiv for about a year now and am thrilled with the results. The first month of using Proactive was almost my last due to the allergic reaction I developed during my second week of use. My face was covered in a very itchy rash. I stopped using the product and it cleared up. When my next shipment came I called customer service to find out what needed to be done to discontinue the automatic shipments and return the one I had just received. The CSR I spoke with was very empathetic and said he had had a reaction to the product as well. He suggested I try the Gentle Formula and offered to send me a free kit to see if it worked. I agreed and was hesitant to use it when it arrived. For about 2 weeks I didn't even open it but eventually bit the bullet. It has worked great and I would recommend it to anyone!

A couple days ago i started using proactive twice a day, it worked great and cleared everything up within a night, then today i started to get weird dry spots/rash like things on either side of my mouth. It kinda burns, but makes me look like a crack head cause of the red marks seemingly coming from my notrsils, i dont think its dry skin cause a moisturizer made it worse, if your going to try this product diffidently do a test patch first, does anyone have any idea how to get rid of this rash fast?
P.S. i love that i dont have to register and go through all that bull to post, very nice.
