I have to say that i love this make-up, but i can see what some of what people are saying is true. I have only been with Sheer Cover for about 5 weeks. I got the make-up faster then they said but it was missing the case, when i called they sent it out to me free over night fedx. I also made an order for more items. I had paid for shipping to arrive in 5-7 days and when it did not show up they said 1 item out of 7 was on back order, i was upset and they said they would ship out the 6 items now, free over night fedex and i would get the 7th item free with free over night shipping when it came in, again i was told the item would be on back order for three weeks but i got it 1 week later. They may have messed up a little but they always made it better and always took the blame. This make-up is not cheep nor is shipping so when they sent me free stuff with free shipping just to please me, it was worth it. I forgave the mistake. Also, every person i had talked to was wonderful. The first time i had made my own order (after the tv kit) i had spoke to a woman who stayed on the phone with me for over an hour talking to me about the make-up one by one and telling me her stories and me telling her mine. She helped me choose the make-up for my kit and i was very happy when i got it. Sheer cover is the best make-up. I never used cover up because i did not want to cover 1 zit and get 4 more, but this stuff covers with out any problems, it is not made of oils and crap thats bad for your skin. Before this i would use spf 15 from olay but Sheer Cover has it's own and it does not smell. That i think is the best thing, the make-up does not have a make-up smell at all. The highlighters are my fav. I would just like to thank Sheer Cover for making this make-up for the everyday girl and not just for the rich.

i get this product for my girlfriend she loves it she says it seems to work well one time we got one package before i needed soo i called customer service and they sent me a return label and gave me the money back i think that the problem with all of these complaints is people not being smart and reading there invoices that come with the package they clearly state on everyone when they will arrive and how much it is a great product great customer service and i would reccomend it to everyone

People need to use what works for them. It seems most people that complaint about this product are just upset about the billing and customer service side...then they makeup stories on how bad it is, how my face is melting and that it doesn't cover their blemishes. Honestly, if your face is full of acne or acne spots go to the dermatologist before putting any makeup on. Get some "Differin" and Lustra and once you take care of your acne, get Mineral Makeup...thats what I did...duh?

Maybe people like to complain more than praise something. But it seems to be way, way more complaints about the customer service on this product than anything.

I have never been a fan of foundations, or any makeup for that matter that I put on my face. I never liked the way all those products felt. I work in the retail division that just started carrying Sheer Cover. Since it is a new product for us, we all recieved intro kits to try. It took a little bit to get used to, but I must say I absolutely love this product. The intro kit we sell carries two shades of foundations, duo concealer, a color palette with lip glosses and highlighters and a cream eyeliner, a whole set of brushes, a cleanser and moisturizer, and the instructional DVD. The foundations blend so smoothly,I was absolutely amazed. The concealer is wonderful. It goes on so easily, and I can get it to blend really well by first applying with the concealer brush then blending with my fingertips. The lip glosses are ok. I wish they had more pigment, but I really can't complain. Afterall, the idea is SHEER. The highlighters are really shimmery which I like. This actually converted me to using a cream eyeliner, because I don't have to pull at my eyelid like I did with a pencil, and liquid was always a mess for me. I have not tried the cleanser or moisturizer because I use Proactiv, and am not wanting to switch. I gave my mother the moisturizer and she loves it. As for the brushes themselves, the concealer and contour brush are amazing. The brush given to apply the foundation I only used once, since I just recently bought a kabuki (which are great, btw. provide a fuller application.) It contains a travel brush, which you can load the minerals into, and when shaken, the foundation comes out the bottom into the lid. I couldn't get this to work as easily as I had hoped, so I don't use it strickly for application, just to carry around throughout the day to touchup on shiny areas. To those complaining that the bristles fall out, I haven't experienced this at all. I spoke with someone in another makeup store, and she informed me that this is usually due to improper care of brushes. Many cleansers and soaps are too harsh, and can damage the brushes. Currently I am using Proativ makeup removing clothes to clean the makeup out on a regular basis, until I find a brush cleaner that I am not going to worry about damaging the bristles. However, even if I become unhappy with them, you get a whole new set of brushes in each retail kit. All in all, I am really pleased. As I mentioned, I do work in the retail division so this may seem a little biased, but I am givin a full review on the pros, and the few cons I have found. I may not use all the products that come in the kit, the majority of them have been great. We are also starting to carry seperate products, such as those lip-to-lid highlighters. I have used the bronze as an eyeshadow, and I love the way that looks. The other colors (peach and pink) are really pretty, but are too sheer too use as an eyeshadow for me, so I just use those on accents on my shoulders.
For those who keep complaining about the mail-order difficulties, if you can find a retail division, the money-back guarantee applies there as well, and you don't have to worry about losing shipping cost. Just make sure to pay with a credit card on initial purchase, because you receive your refund more quickly if you are unhappy. As with any product, some people may not be able to use due to their own skin sensitivity, which is why they offer the risk-free guarantee in the first place. Logically, if the majority of people were unhappy and returned them, the company would go out of business. (Sure, those who may have been burned by the mail-order will say that they never get their returns, so what does it matter. This is why I suggest trying a retail store so you can get your credit right there)
I tried to be as upfront and honest, stating that I do work for this company, and that while I may not find some of the products to my liking, I am well pleased about most. To each his/her own.As with anything, you may not always be able to believe what you see on t.v. I still say it's worth a try. Try to find a retail division, so that you can actually speak face to face with a person, ask any questions you may have, and let us personally show you what it's all about.
Sorry if any of this came off as a pitch. Like I said, I am just trying to be honest.

I'm not really defending this product other than it may work on someone else's skin better than it did on mine. That may be true. But the complaints against the company far out number the defenses. It worked out well for you guys, you got lucky. This company has bad business ethics no matter how well your experiences with them went.

I am a singer and my makeup has to look good both on and off stage. I also have quite a few problems that I have to deal with when choosing a makeup. First, it has to have really GOOD coverage because I have deep set eyes and really dark circles under them plus my skin is splotchy and my pores are large--yuck! On top of this my eyes are extremely sensitive and even the most hypo-allergenic makeups still make me "cry"... so I was very skeptical when ordering the Sheer Cover makeup but I can honestly say that from the first moment I tried it I was hooked. I don't have any problems what-so-ever with my eyes (no tears since I started using it) and it covers my dark circles and splotchy skin better than anything else I've tried and on top of this; each month when I typically get little breakouts due to my menstrual cycle-- with this makeup I don't have those breakouts. This past week at a concert I had a woman to comment that my face looked so pretty that it was like "porcelin" and my husband even commented that my skin is looking less "splotchy" even with the makeup off. In addition to this, I called Customer service to see about choosing a different shade since I had chosen the medium color and I thought I might need the light color until the summer months so they sent me out both the light cocealer and makeup at no charge just to try and see what shade was best for me. I have had nothing but good experiences with this company and their product.

I must say that after I ordered the product I was really uneasy. I read all the complaints and was ready to return the product. They wre really easy going about giving me return information and I opted out of return and decided to cancel my membership instead. Of course they tried a few times to get me to stay a member but the phone call only took 3 minutes. Now I'm able to order ONLY when I need to. Even though the price is a little more for not being a member I get to order when I want to. The make up is really easy to use and covers great! It also doesnt wear off like all the other make up I have used.

I have used Bare Minerals and Sheer Cover. Personally I like both of the products. I have been using the Sheer Cover for about 8 months now. I love the way it feels and looks. I get compliments all the time on my makeup. I have never had a problem with my order. I deal with the public on a daily basis and I have come to the conclusion that people are stupid. If you read the website it tells you exactly how the program works. It doesn't take a rocket scientist. Before people mouth off I hope they are sure of what the circumstances are.

This is not a scam. I love the product. I've been using it for about 6-months. I've been satisfied with the shipping and billing. I've had a few questions so I called customer service and have found the customer service representatives to be very pleasant and helpful. The auto ship program is very convenient and easy to change on-line. Most complaints posted to this site appear to be from uneducated people who are not paying attention to the details.

I just received my Sheer Cover today and I must say, I love it! I've also tried Bare Minerals and this is much better. I do use my kahbuki brush from my Bare Minerals kit though. The foundation goes on smooth and covers great. I got my order about 5 days after I ordered it and I think I'll stick with the home delivery program, which you can change the shipping frequency. You are automatically set up for every 4 to 8 weeks but I changed it to every 16 weeks. I called to make sure they did not ship the product until then and the lady (although not very pleasant) did tell me that was not a problem and she was showing that the next kit would not arrive until 6/20. The makeup itself looks fantastic on my skin and feels so light. The foundation and the concealer covered very well and I must say I'm very pleased. I hate that so many people have had a bad experience and I just hope to stay a satisfied customer.

After reading the complaints. It's the same again and again. Most seem unhappy with the automatic billing program of sheercover.com versus the product or the handling of customers. On the website it clearly states if you do not return product within a given time frame it becomes an auto bill and auto ship. They do not appear to be misleading. What I want to know is if the product is worthwhile. I use bare minerals by bare escentuals and love it. I am always interested in a like or better product. Can anyone stop complaining long enough about their inability to pay attention to the billing information and remark on the product itself; the company's timeliness and ability to ship the product; and last but not least the ease of cancellation should one find they do no like the product. This is the information that makes a site like this valuable in my opinion.

to those of you that don't want this automatically charged to your credit card, call your credit card company and dispute the charge and tell them not to accept anything from that company. if you cancel the card then you can't dispute it. I have been using the products since Dec. 2007 and haven't any problems yet.I ordered sheer cover 3 weeks after seeing the 9.95 offer. I asked a lot of questions and the rep was honest and informative. My Mother uses this product so i was familiar w/ the billing so i asked if it was really 9.95. I decided to join the "club" and go ahead and pay the 90.00 because i would have to do that later if i liked the product after trying it for 9.95 so i thought in the long run i would be saving money. so far i haven't had any problems with the company. I should be receiving my 2nd shipment soon. i don't like the cleanser and moisturizer that well but i can choose which products i want with each shipment. i have a lot of acne scars and this covers much better than liquid foundation and this does not irritate my skin or make it itch like some other mineral foundations i have tried. i also like the brushes better than the little short brushes that you receive with the other brands of mineral foundations.

I started using Sheer Cover last year, and I love this product. I like the fact that I can go on line and change my automatic shipment date or the products that will come to me at any time. I had some initial questions, so I contacted customer service and they were very helpful in giving me suggestions for my oily skin. I've had nothing but great success with the product and it's customer service. It was exactly as advertised, which is very refreshing! Love, love, love Sheer Cover!

I don't know what is wrong with someone of you people, either you can't read or just can't be bothered.you have to read, listen. My wife has been useing this product for 2 years now loves it,looks very beautiful wereing the makeup. When you get the frist starter kit,you have just about a month to try the frist one.Call customer service ask for a hold if you need more time.If colors are not right they will send darker or lighter at no cost. Now the ninty day supply you can either pay all at once if you take the payment plan you have three payments. So before the second payment you cancel for some reason you keep the kit of cource you will see TWO more PAYMENTS.Hello YOU STILL HAVE TO PAY FOR THE KIT....ASFAR AS REFUNDS when you send back the product you have to wait 4/6 weeks thats like anything you order from tv or mail!!!people read listen and you wll have no problem.and as far as rude customer service agents.when I have ever called the csrs that I have talked to have been very very polite, helpful, understanding. If they are rude to you people look at what you wrote about them.So that is telling me that you were rude to them frist. They don't want to lose there job but they don't have to take some one swearing at them either. I hope this helps.

I have used this product and it worked just fine. I was told I would be charged monthly to receive supplies every three months. All I had to do was call and cancel it when I stopped using it. I did stop using it because I found similar products that can be bought in malls now, eliminating the shipping and handling cost.

3 years ago I ordered sheer cover, when it was still fairly new. I received the trial 30 days for 19.95 (the price at that time) and then started receiving the 60 day shipments. I had to change the frequency to every 4 months, because I just don\'t go through the enormous amount that is in the jars. I then had to cancel my membership, as I lost my job (and still had 2 full 60 day supplies). There was no problem. I called, got a great CSR, and everything was cancelled. I didn\'t receive any more bills or any more products. Now, 2 years later, back on my feet financially, decided to try them again, as I really liked the product. I called on the 9.95 trial special, and the CSR explained the whole thing very well to me, and when she asked if I wanted to try the 9.95 trial, or upgrade to receive the regular package (with the brushes, makeup compact, etc) I said okay, it was 29.95 in TWO MONTHLY installments -- which was explained very clearly, but as they were running a special, I would only be charged 29.95 ONCE as it was a limited half price offer for the first month of hte membership package. I was billed correctly. YOU HAVE TO LISTEN, very closely when the Rep is talking, and if you don\'t understnd, or think you read something else, you have to ask. GUTHY-RENKER is the company who handles the orders and CSR, not Sheer Cover -- this is the same company who deals with Pro Active among other things. If you have an actual problem with the prodcut itself, you need to call Sheer Cover, but for billing issues, you need to call the number on the box that is Guthy Renker. If you go to the website, and read all the prices (clear and in print, so you cn print it out and always have proof if there is a dispute) it clearly CLEARLY explains the prices, and trials. There is no major scam going on with Sheer Cover -- sometimes you get a rude rep, or you don\'t read the fine print, that\'s your fault for not bieng inforomed -- not the company. Take some responsibility people.

I absolutly love this product! I have never found a better make-up nor have i ever been "scammed" by the company or found extra charges on my card. The $30 trial kit is only ment to last for a month and gives you more than enough to do that and then, like every other company, they start sending you the 90 day supplies and charge it to your card unless you call and cancel. I don't know why people are so surpised at this. BareMinerals does it, ProActive does it, and any other beauty product I have ever used does it. I think you people who are suprised are just inexperienced with these things. Of course they are trying to get the most money out of you, they've got to keep business running. But this product is definatly a keeper. I'll never go back to using anything else.

I have been using this product for four months and I love it! I stopped breaking out and my skin looks natural. In the last four months I h ave not been billed for any additional packages, since I set up the frequency to 16 weeks and then just yesterday did a "send now" for my replenishing kit. So now I won't receive another shipment until I am ready again. It is not a scam! You just need to pay attention, go on their website and fix the delivery frequency. If not, you can cancel at any time. I for one will not be cancelling and I do love my makeup! My sister and mom are now hooked on it as well.....and we were all using Bobby Brown before.
