I received the knives for christmas by my parents two years ago and I Love them. They work so well I always make salsa and the knives cut through those tomatoes like a hot knife to butter. I am glad I never have to waist money on buying new knives. I have recommended them to many of my relatives and they have no complaints either.

I have had the set and the block for over a year. I gave the other set to my bro for his wedding.
I love them. I use the chefs knife all the time so I have to sharpen it a lot. But they gave me a sharpener for a reason. And I love the liquid flavor injector the most.
I have bought other knifes in the past that fall apart but these haven\'t. And if you are bitching about the shipping...If you were to drive and pick them up or even fly to get them then you would be paying a lot more, especially with the gas prices now.

I have had the entire 6 star set for over 3 years now. I LOVE THEM! I love to cook and these knives have made for some very easy work. My entire set is still sharp and shiny, with no problems whatsoever. I got my set very quickly from [] . People say they rust when you put them in the dishwasher. You should NEVER put ANY knives in the dishwasher, period. It weakens the handles and dulls the blades. The high heats can damage the rivets and harsh detergents will take off the finish. Hand wash them and you will never have this problem!

I purchased the knife set plus the wooden block holder. I must say, I am completely, %100 satisfied with their product. Yes it was on back order for 2 weeks but it was worth the wait. They do exactly as the commercial shows. I always liked Ron's way of demonstrating his products to people. If you want to know why these people are complaining I will tell you why. 1. My Instructions clearly state "Do Not Wash In Dishwasher" even real expensive knives will get ruined that way. Don't be lazy, just hand clean your ronco knives. 2. Look closely to see if your item is on back order (for example if purchasing off the internet), if it is you will have to wait for it. Does not take rocket science to figure that out. 3. Don't be a jerk to people on the phone. They wouldn't help you as well and think the same about you as you probably think about them! These knives are HIGHLY approved.

Like the complaints on many of the products, the complaints about these knives seem to stem from service complaints or failure to follow instructions. I have owned these knives for many years. They are great. I bought my first set off of TV and I don\'t remember the shipping charge being that steep. When I ordered my second set for my barbecue outside, I was taken aback by the shipping charges. (See, you should ask up front.) I didn\'t order them and bought them at a retail outlet. (Still $40). As for the knife block, the commercial clearly states that the knife block is extra. (Although another $40 does seem a little steep). As for them being dishwasher safe, the instructions clearly state that the knives should be handwashed. Even top notch \"expensive\" knives should not be put in the dishwasher. The knives perform exactly as promised. True, the handles are not exquisite, but they are not cheap. (I\'ve bought other informercial knives that were). What do you want for $40? Oh, the scissors with the set were awful. I replaced them with \"after market\" scissors.

I purchased the entire set and extra steak knives in March 2006. For the price, they are excellent. I had purchased a few knives from a well-know company: []. They dulled up in no time. The Ronco knives are used everyday and put in the dishwasher and still look fairly new. I was so happy with the Ronco knives, that I accepted the offer of a second set and kept it for a wedding present which I will be giving away this weekend. I love the rocker/cheese knife.

I bought a set of Ronco knives and the block and I got another set with a block for my son. We both love our knives. Then I got a phone call, and I ordered another set with a block for my daughter in California. She got the block, but no set of knives.

I made my purchase off the website and got the set of knives, wood block and a set of scissors. I paid $60 for all including shipping, etc. The knives were actually better than I expected for the money, but all in all you are getting your money's worth. The block is nice and heavy and is clearly marked with the numbers and names of the knives, which is also marked on the knives themselves. The scissors were a free special and had no expectations for them at all. I was very impressed with how heavy and sturdy they are. There was also enough variety that I didn't even know what to do with half of them. Overview: Great product for the price. You just need to watch for the deals. They have different deals all the time.

I bought these knives about 2 years ago, and love them. They are the sharpest knives I had ever bought, beautiful (I got the white handles), have lasted very well (except the kitchen shears), are in and out of the dishwasher several times a week, and have never given a moment's trouble. They are sturdy, I've had no problems with flimsy handles. Even a friend of mine who was a chef admired the set and said it was a great value for the money. And [] has the whole set for $69.95, no shipping.

I saw this on TV where you got two 25 piece sets for $39.95 plus free shipping before Christmas. I looked at it online, but was sure it would sign me up for SPAM, so called instead. They would gibe me an extra steak knife if I got the block for 29.95, and I said sure (Shipping was an extra 8.90 ) I could get an extra block with an extra kitchen knife for an additional 19.95 plus 8.90. I said No & refused all other offers that came with extra knives (your block could take 4 more) The total charge was $78.80 and it arrived in 2 weeks. I don't own a dishwasher, so my knives don't rust, but they seem to lack the finish that would prevent rust without a softener with sheeting action added to the dishwasher. The sharpener is crap, but I have a better one of my own. The knives work fine & I am basically happy with my purchase.

I bought the entire set at [] for $5 and it's the best investment I made. I would suggest [] or a local company to get these from.

We purchased 2 sets of the knives, one for ourselves and one for our daughter.  We have been using the knives for over a year and have no complaints.

We ordered showtime, and the knives are just fine. They are not top quality, but what do you expect for the price. They cut well, stay reasonable sharp, and go in the dishwasher not problem. People who complain about this product ought to get a grip. What do you think you are going to get -- a set of forged steel German knivies? Of course, they're cheap -- why do you think Ron can sell them at such a low price. Got the block, the complete set, use them everyday. For the price, it's a good deal.

I saw the infomercial for the Ronco knives and thought it was a  good deal. I ordered them but never felt I was led to believe the block was included. I figure they know you will probably want the block and have a good chance of selling you one. I ordered that as well and all told it came to around $100.00 with all the knives, the block and shipping. Of course it's more than the $40.00 advertised but they never said shipping was free. I figure even at $4.00 per knife it's a good deal. Try to go out and buy a nice carving knife or cleaver by itself for that much. I'm pleased with my purchase and don't think it's a rip off.
