My family has used these bags for several years now. My first experience with them was about 2 years ago. I had about 10 old quilts that were made around 1900. I placed a couple in each bag and vacumed out the air, then placed the package in a plastic storage bin. Totally forgot they were there until recently when I unloaded a storage facility to move into a new house. All bags were still vacumed sealed and in excellent condition. What was not had been a few old sheets and blankets placed in plain old garbage bags. I would recommend these things to anyone. just read the instructions.

Me and my fiance are moving across country with our cat, dog and our clothes. The space bag is exactly what the doctor ordered. I have nothing but great things to say about this product it has given me a little space in this little mini-van we are calling home for our journey.

2 yrs ago, I purchased space bags [SBs] via the net in preparation of moving my clothes in neat SBs to my new home with my new husband.
With the exception of 1 SB that was attacked by my cat, they have performed as expected.
Some SBs did inflate b/c of an air leak with the slider. but after a re-adjustment to the slider & vacuum sealing again, the bag was fine.
i would recommend skipping the jumbo size & sticking to the large or x large.
i noticed [] selling them and purchased more large bags.
itza good product & lives up to it's hype.

If you are having problems with the bags re-inflating, rather than just using the blue ‘zipper’, run your fingers across the top to make sure it is sealed well. Remember old zip lock bags before zippers .. same concept. I’ll run over the seal once or twice each way to make sure it’s sealed. I have not had problems with my bags when I do this. I especially love the travel bags. I can use a smaller suitcase now!

I am in month 2 of my Space Bags/Storage cubes and so far so good. The biggest knock against them is that the plastic is thin so I ended up putting them into rubbermaid storage containers to protect them. They simply don\'t work if they\'re overfull at sealing or handled much after sealing. I am planning on giving the Bag Button a shot in the near future simply because of the cost savings. Do they work for me? Yes, but at a high dollar premium. I\'ll post back if the Bag Button is the best thing since sliced bread as one of the big sells for me was controlling a dust mite allergy.

I, too, am surprised at all of the negative comments about the space bags. I agree that the bags are a bit "lumpy" after removing the air, but they work perfectly for me. In fact, I place multiple Christmas items in the SpaceBags .... tree skirt, linens, place mats, table runners, etc. When I return to the items the following year, they have remained air tight ... no leaking. The items in the bags smell fresh and clean, and just need to be ironed. I love this product!!

I\'ve bought and used this product and I love it! I use it to make all those huge bulky comforters in the closet super small! I agree with all the other complaints about other products on here but this one I have to defend. I think if it doesn\'t work for you your product might be defective or you are doing something wrong because it\'s a relatively simple idea.

I have used these bags for travel and at home. I love to change comforters. I must own over 20+ sets and I store them under the beds. They\\\'re great for travel because I use them for the return trip to make room for souvenirs :)

This is my opinion and years of experience with Travel Space Bags, I am sure you will find this review most helpful. It is important to note my background: I work in the travel industry and I previously worked at a discount store that sales this product. This product is quiet useful for anyone that usually carry with them, more than one piece of luggage on a trip. I strongly recommend travel Space Bags if you go on a cruise vacation. Yes, Travel Space Bags can save a lot of space in your luggage. Space Bag does not triple storage capacity (as claimed), however (depending on clothes) it can up-to a little more than double your space. I strongly recommend that you buy 2 identical boxes of Travel Space Bags at a physical store near you that has a 100%, 30 day return policy. The reason is that even though this product works, it tends on average to have a 20% defect problem. Which means if you buy ten bags, two of them are like to be defective. If one bag in a box is defective you and switch it with one of the same bag from the second box. If you return the second box due to defective bags, make sure to let the cashier know that the bags are defective, so that do not return it to the shelf. Try each of the bags out by filling them with folded clothes such as tee shirts, shorts, socks, and sweaters to test them. Flow the instructions on the bags, and do not fill past the line on the bag. I advise you sit on the floor when packing with Travel Space Bags, so if need you can use you body weight to maximize compression. Before you zip the bag closed, try to let out as much air as possible. Now that you have the bag fully closed, starting at the zipper end, began to roll the bag, keeping in mind that the air is leaving the bag from the bottom of the bag which is blue. Do not restrict the air from leaving the bag at the bottom blue end, other wise the bag will be damaged. The bags are ideal for cotton clothing, which tends to absorbs a lot of air. Due not use them for clothes that must be dry cleaned or in which wrinkles would be a problem. Other than zippers on clothing, do not place metal objects or anything that might pierce the bag in or near the bag in your suitcase. Keeping in mind what I have said above regarding airflow, the only real problem areas are centered around the zipper. The bags do wear out with regular use. Tape your receipt to the box they come in and save, because most stores that buy directly from the Space Bag Mana factor will correct the problem. If they do not, remind them that they represent the mana factor and should support the 1 year guarantee. Lastly a suggested use, if you tend to travel with two filled suitcases see if it is possible to use space bags just so you can will be able to create a good amount of space, for thing you collect on your trip. Also, include one extra bag to new tee shirts you buy. areas are centered around the zipper. The bags do wear out with regular use. I just read the pros and cons about SpaceBags. and was stunned at the number of displeased customers. They worked so great for me, I would do a commercial about them for free! I only paid $24 @ [] for a pack of 12 SpaceBags. (9 with 'zippers'--if I remember correctly, there were 2 Jumbo, 2 Extra-Large, 2 Large, 3 Medium--and 3 travel 'fold-up' bags) as Linen'n Things was far too expensive, charging $20 for three bags. For my particular need, they were worth every penny; I bought 4 boxes in total. I packed most items [and stuffed them right up to the 'line'!] in late August/early September for what would eventually be a move from New York to California in February. I packed everything from bedding items to sweaters to latex dance wear, lingerie, towels, stuffed animals, papers, file folders, etc.. They were then put in (unbound) plastic storage boxes for their trip across the country and they arrived still tightly packed. Its March now and the bags are out of the plastic containers, still holding securely with no sign of leakage, mold, mildew, or dampness. Many of the bags went right from the boxes onto my new closet shelves, just as I packed them. Initially, there was some leakage and frustration zipping the bags (and yes, the blue 'zippers' did seem practically useless at first) but, after some patience, they all closed easily. I was sorry to read so many others had problems with them and can't figure out why they occurred. I raved about SpaceBags. at the time of purchase and STILL have no complaints!

OK. I've read all the complaints and the few positive reviews. I bought a set of 7 bags 10/16, immediately filled 3 with sleeveless and short sleeved tops for storage. I was impressed by the amount I could get in the large bags and plan to buy more. This morning I checked the bags and they are still sealed. No problems thus far. I wonder if those having problems tried zipping "after" vacuum sealing?! Wouldn't make sense to me but ... I am concerned about the one post that mentioned mildew when they were opened months later. I seriously hope not because I'd hate to lose my more expensive clothing pieces. I guess I need to buy a new house with more closet space so I don't have to worry about storage. Hmmmm?!

I am a little surprised by the number of people disappointed with space bags. My parents and I have both used them with no problems, plus I bought them for a friend who is traveling internationally and he loves them. I think you REALLY have to follow the manufacturer directions and take care of them. After all, they are plastic! Are they overpriced? Of course. Imperfect? Sure. But overall I think they are a well-designed product.

I actually had a pretty good experiience with these. Only one that I bought at another time came open when I tried to zip it. i thought I may have had too much in it. They did not fill back up with air for me. I am glad i bought somehting that worked for me at least. get your money back

I bought space bags to pack into a duffle bag for a motorcycle trip. They worked perfectly. Don't over fill them ( not past the dotted line) and they seal fine. Mine are the 'roll out the air' type, not the vacuum kind. Fill below the dotted line, fold the seal twice, and roll out the air. They worked and stayed sealed. Couldn't be happier with them.

I have used the space bags and they have worked perfectly for me. Not one has been a dissappointment and all have worked how they should have. Working with people my whole life I realize that oftentimes people dont know what they are doing and that can be the reason for failure. A)you're not being careful enough B) not taking care of them properly C) are just kind of dumb and dont know how to use them correctly. Sometimes the product isnt to blame!

My space bags work flawlessly. I have put large, thick comforters and blankets in them and they are holding tight and firm. While I would not say I have tripled the space in my closet - I have easily doubled it. Good product.
