We bought the TP back in August. I researched throroughly because $3500 was a lot of money. I've had back problems for the last 7 years and have had problems with regular mattresses (even pillow tops). In 7 years I've had 5 mattresses all which have left me so sore in the mornings I couldn't walk. We bought ours through a local store, making several stops to go in and test, test, and retest to make sure it's what we wanted. So after about a month of research and stopping in, we bought the King Size Rapsody and I love it, plus it had a 90 day trial. My back doesn't hurt, my hips don't hurt, and for the 1st time in a very long time I am sleeping deep enough to dream. I wake up in the mornings not hurting and sore. We've had no problems with the heat like some have reported, however; I have noticed if I get up and go back a few hours later, where I slept is still warm. Which is fine with me especially on cold winter mornings! It did have a weird smell at first but it went away after about the 1st week. My husband is a large guy and even he likes it! Sadly, 2 days after I had it I ruptured a disk in my back, and the bed still done it's job. I still slept comfortably. Luckily I didn't need surgery! Here I am, 3 months later, and still love my bed! Some people say you should know the 1st night whether you like it or not, and for me that's not true. It took me about 2-3 weeks to tell. So it depends on the person. I wouldn't buy through an infomercial, I would buy through a preputable dealar whose local. Just take your time to reseach what you want, and don't be pressured to puchase immediatley.

I have herniated disc touching a nerve root. I was sleeping on a conventional bed. My cousins [he had a bad back] had a tempur-pedic & i tried theirs. My next stop was a mattress store. I tried the TP's rhapsody bed. I must have stayed on that bed for a good 1/2 hour!

it will be 1 yr on that TP bed & i love it. No it did not cure my bad back - but is sure made sleeping easier for me. Heck even the dog & cat loves it too!

i bought my TP mattress from a brick & mortar store on a credit card. it had a 30 day money back guarantee. the odd smell disappeared in 3 days.

i bought a queen original about 3 months ago and so far so good. i tried the different models in the store and although i would of liked to get the $6500 model. i had to settle for the original with foundation which was about $1800 after everything. i actually think it's the only bed i owned that feels better home then it did in the store. i cant even lay on it for 10 minutes to rest because i end up passing out just how it forms to your body. buy anyone if you need a new bed, don't settle for the [] they are horrible.

I purchased a queen sized Tempur-Pedic mattress, four years ago. I do not usually defend products, but this is the most comfortable mattress I have ever owned. Before buying, I had heard all of the complaints, so decided to find out for myself. My husband's brother and his wife were gracious enough to let us sleep in their's while on a weekend visit.
My husband and myself are both toss and turners. When your partner moves, the mattress seriously cushions the movement. I sleep much better since this purchase. I find that I stay in one position, comfortably, much longer when sleeping. I also find that my arthritic neck is much better upon waking since I got the mattress.
My only complaint would be that it is much harder to move from side to side while lying on this mattress. It's really not a big issue, but recently I sustained a sholder injury, and it did become a chore moving in bead.
After four years, the mattress is still as comfortable as day one. It is wearing well, and there are no low spots or depressions. I simply love this mattress.

I have the king size Celebrity Tempur-Pedic Mattress. I have only had it for a month but man I have been sleeping like a rock. I don't ever sleep well especially when I had a regular mattress. But since I've gotten this mattress I haven't had any problems with my back or hip or neck when I wake up in the morning. I was one sleep deprived person. Its been a long time coming when I would get good rest. Its just what the doctor ordered.

Bought mine 5 years ago and would gladly do it again. Only now, there's viable knock-offs available for a lot less money. Most comfortable mattress I've ever slept on. Great for sex! My only real complaint is that it can be difficult to turn over. Their pillows are grossly overpriced at $150 each and definitely not worth the money.

I bought a king size tempur pedic mattress for my wife and myself. I loved it immediately because my back pain disappeared overnight. However, my wife, who has rheumatoid arthritis found it difficult to turn over in the bed. After a month of use I called them up to return the mattress. They gave me no grief but arranged to pick up the mattress at no cost to me. I then ordered a long twin size tempur pedic mattrees and combined it with a "normal" mattress for my wife. So now our king-size bed is a "hybrid" and we're both happy.

My wife and I are in our early twenties and after much, much, much debating, we bought the TempurPedic Celebrity bed from a local furniture store. We laid on a lot of beds and had to really think about it as a financial investment($3500). She was dropped as a cheerleader in highschool and needed a better mattress. I, on the other hand, could sleep on a cold rock in a hurricane but we both adore the bed. I wish I could have a couch made out of the same stuff. We personally don't have any problems with overheating or bugs or anything. Make sure you get a stain-proff cover though; stains void the warranty. So, if you think this bed looks nice, go test some of the different models and look at what you want to spend on a mattress. We love ours though.

We purchased our tempur-pedic mattress at our local store and we will never go back to a traditional mattress. I broke my back in 5 places and was having a horrible time sleeping more than an hour at a time. We had a very expensive pillow top mattress at the time. We finally purchased the tempur-pedic and the first night, I slept 14 hours without waking up! Obviously, I was way overdue for a good nights sleep. The mattress definitely has a very different feel to it. Absolutely no pressure points with this mattress! Honestly, I can't say enough good things about it. In our opinion, it is the best mattress anywhere. I will say that I do not like the pillows at all! I prefer to sleep with a buckwheat pillow....not a tiny, cheap version as you see on infomercials but a really good buckwheat pillow. Anyway, the tempur-pedic is heaven sent!

Absolutly love this mattress! I have found that everything they have promised has been true. My husband and I love this mattress as it has helped with his back problems and we haven't had to flip it since we bought it two years ago. Love it perfect product!

I have had this mattress for about two years. It has been great. I used to wake up with severe pain in my hips, but with this mattress, I have had slight hip pain once or twice. I also have back pain periodically. With my old mattress I would go to bed with back pain and wake up in the morning with severe back pain. Now I go to bed with back pain and wake up with no back pain! I am sure this mattress is not for everyone, but my wife and I LOVE IT! One more thing...When we go on a trip, we cannot sleep well on a regular mattress. On our last trip, I woke with severe hip pain! I would give this a try if I were you. They have a money back thing, but if you try it you will most likely not want to part with it. Good luck! I just wrote my defending note, but forgot to say something. I work in surgery and we just replaced all of our operating room table pads with tepur-pedic material. Great stuff! I used to joke with my patients about the uncomfortable pads on the bed, saying "It's not a Tempur-Pedic is it!" Thanks!

I normally don't defend products, but... After my girlfriend and I moved in together, we (she)decided that it was best to use her mattress, because mine was too hard. After a few years and a marriage, we (I) decided that her mattress was killing my back. I would actually have to go and sleep on my old one in our spare bedroom to help on my back. We shopped around at several local stores and tried the Tempur-Pedic and the Sleep Number (not going to get into that bed, not for me). All of the sales people tell you the same thing. The bed takes time to soften up and that you have to give it 10-20 minutes to adjust to you after you lay on it. It's true. At any rate, we purchased the classic from a local store with a refund (it was down the road and I could personally lug it back if I didn't like it). My wife called the the big stinky brick. It was hard for the first few weeks. By the time the smell was gone the mattress had softened up. My wife thought that I would be having back problems again for sure. I didn't. It was great. That was two years ago. I loved it so much that I swear by it. My mom has one now. My brother wants it. My mother-in-law now has one and so does my sister-in-law. I can't say enough positive things about it. Some people report getting how from it, but I've never had that issue.

My husband and I bought this bed just under two years ago. I LOVE this bed. I cannot sleep anywhere else as comfortable as I sleep on this bed. I have taken the mattress cover off several times to wash it, and have never found anything living in the mattress. I will agree the first two weeks or so the bed so hard, but now, I can lay down and not toss and turn all night long. We are moving to England and the bed has to go and I am all ready dreading the almost three months I will have to live without this bed. LOVE this bed, and everyone who has spent anytime in my bedroom loves this bed.

My wife and I purchased our Tempur-Pedic Mattress about 2 1/2 years ago, before that we had a decent quality mattress and both of us were complaining of back aches most mornings, after our new mattress arrived it took us about 2 weeks to get used to the foam, however I will tell you that it is one of the best purchases that we have ever made, it is more expensive than most mattresses, but they can't come close to the experience of sleeping on that foam, our experience has been so good that we purchased a new Tempur-Pedic for our 7 yr. old daughter, we had to she would sneak into our bed in the middle of the night because it was so much better then her old one. Will some people find it too hard to sleep on it? I guess that could be true, as a happy customer all I can do is relate our story and hope that everyone outhere can get a good night's rest like my wife and I do every night.....

I can't even begin to say how grateful I am for the Tempur-Pedic bed. I have a severly handi-capped daughter and in 1998, at age 12, I investigated the concept of the Tempur-Pedic adjustable bed for my daughter, (who is now 20 yrs. of age). She is pretty much completely bed bound and a severe spastic quadraplegic and has no ability to adjust her position at all. So, needless to say comfort is of the utmost importance for her health to decrease the risk of skin ulcers and pressure points. I contacted the medical division of Tempur-Pedic, and was assisted so graciously by Moe Young. (you are to be commended for your service and dedication in making it a possibility for my daughter!!!) the reason for the high praise is as such: My daughter is on the SSI program and they only allow a new mattress every 8 years at a value of $75.00 each and many other assistive tools eg. air pumps, mattress pads at different yearly replacement cost levels.... etc. The total cost of all those items over a 25 year period was over $37,000.00 (the 25 year warranty on the Tempur-Pedic mattress comparative) and the medical testing proves that all of those devices do not even come close to any form of pressure relief or assist in the reduction of the incidence of skin ulcers. In fact, many of them contribute to the pressure point and skin ulcers. To this day, my daughter has not had even a hint of a skin ulcer or pressure point. As for myself, If I feel that I need a 8hr. night of sleep, I take a 20 minute nap in her bed!!! I do not get a full nights sleep with all of her involved care. When I have extra money to spend I will be purchasing one for myself. Anyway, Moe, Cathy and Bill Tressler C.E.O. Thank you for your kindness

We have had a Tempur-pedic for about 3 years and its great. I often get hot at night and was concerned that this mattress would make the situation even worse. Not so. I will say that the mattress we received sure felt different than the one I tried out in a store - it was a lot harder. There is definitely a break in period required. But I sleep better on this than any mattress I ever owned.
