I bought the product online. It has arrived on time. I called customer service 3 times due to a mistake I made while ordering and I was well listened and helped.

The product works fine for me. It does what it's suppose to do and works very well.

I would definitely buy again from Tobi and I have recommended it to many friends.

Before my last payment I had to change my debit card. I received a communication in time, asking me to pay remaining balance. I called ustomer service again and they quickly corrected my card's number in their system.

I'm a hapy customer!

My girlfriend bought the tobi for me for my birthday. When she told me what she got me I looked it up on the internet and found this site. This site scared the hell out of us and we went straight to the bank and canceled her bank card. Tobi gave us a tracking number that didn't work with U.S.P.S, so we started calling customer service. They said they emailed the post office and we will get it in a week. We got it the next day. We put it together just like it said and started to steam some real wrinkled clothes. To our surprise it work great! It took wrinkles out in one swipe of the wand. This is an excellent product that works just like it says on T.V. So it is safe to say that we are happy with the tobi and we feel safer that we canceled the card to! Just in case!

For every compliant about customer service there are also many satisfied customers. All the unhappy ones have to do is read postings under this heading. Just take a look at the posting by Mary Armstrong on 2/20/08. She is a legimate Tobi representative who is here to help.

Tobi should be extremely proud that they have someone like Mary representing their company. Extremely responsive and helpful.

She responded to me email within a day and I had my replacement part within 1 week. NO CHARGE.

You just can't get better customer service than this. Instead of spending all the time and energy complianing, calling and being frustrated, contact Mary.

I ordered a Tobi and a \"free\" travel steamer. I opted for the four payment plan. As others have stated, there was no order confirmation page, but I printed a copy of the order page just prior to submitting it (I\'ve seen other instances where there is no order confirmation page, so I just do it as a reminder/record of what I ordered in the middle of the night!). I got a confirming email shortly after my order was submitted. As others stated, there was no order detail in that email either.

A few days later, I rec\'d an email stating that the order had shipped along with a tracking number. I checked the tracking number on the USPS website several times over the next few days, but it kept showing up as not found. I tried other shippers (UPS, Fedex, DHL, etc), but the tracking number was invalid on all of them.

I started to get concerned, so I did a Google search for \"Tobi tracking shipping\" and found this website. Yikes! All of the stories of multiple units being shipped, return credits minus outrageous shipping charges, etc...I really got worried!

I checked my credit card and found that they charged exactly the agreed upon amount (1/4 the Tobi amount, plus all shipping including the \"free\" travel steamer). Whew!...but what about the quality? Did they ever ship it? Is that how this happens...I call them regarding the unfounded tracking number and they ship a second/duplicate shipment? I decided to just wait. A couple of days later, a box shows up on my doorstep (USPS delivered). I opened it and found my order, exactly as I placed it, easily put it together, filled it and turned it on. Just as promised, within 30 - 60 seconds it was ready to go! I used it for several garments and it worked fabulously. Absolutely NO complaints about the quality of the unit (it even comes with a nice DVD to walk you though the assembly and use).

In the mean time, I also had checked [] and found that they are available from several [] power sellers. I checked the feedback from buyers of the Tobi and did not find anyone complaining about the quality or functionality of the unit...seems everyone was happy!

Anyway...I got exactly what I ordered...it works exactly as I expected. Time will tell if they overcharge my credit card, but at this point...based on MY experience with Tobi, I have no reason to think they will do anything other than what we agreed upon when I placed the order (charged all shipping plus 1/4 or the product, followed by 3 more installments until the product is paid in full).

I ordered mine on 4/18
It shipped on 4/26
It arrived on my doorstep on 5/1

No problems!

Trust me guys, I feel your pain! I too “mysteriously” received an extra Tobi, go figure… And just like most of you, I have horror stories concerning the painstaking process of trying to get a refund for the one I returned. Three months and four phone calls later, I was fed up! So as a last resort, I decided to give Mary Armstrong (Listed in this thread) a chance to redeem some since of customer service associated w/ this company... Lo and behold, I received prompt correspondence, a sincere apology and a speedy refund! So, if you’re having customer service issues, give her a holler!

After receiving the TOBI steamer I had a little trouble with getting the free travel TOBI advertised. I found this website and contacted Mary Armstrong and she got back to me within minutes. She was very professional and shipped out the travel TOBI the very next day.

I actually enjoy using the TOBI. I will never pick up another iron again!

I was not sure about this product after reading all the bad responses everyone has made. I received it from my young son for Christmas and all I could think about was how am I gonna return it without hurting his feelings. I decided to be optomistic and try it out. I have not used my iron since. Dont know what the hype is all about. Maybe some of you out there are not steaming the right way. I've seen the industrial steamers, even used them in the past, they are heavy, bulky and takes quite awhile for the steam to get going. Glad I have the Tobi. About those little directions you receive with your Tobi. Read it! Maybe your tap water is the problem. Why not use distilled water like professional sewing work rooms use for their fabrics. Glad I have a Tobi.

Prior to Christmas, I was on-line reading all the negative comments about the Tobi. My son wanted me to have this for a gift and my husband had order the Tobi. After reviewing this site I told my husband not to purchase it. At Christmas I ended up with it. My husband said that his mouth had dropped when I told him I didnt want this. He already had it purchased, delivered, wrapped & waiting for me to open on Christmas. The only thought at that time was how were we going to return this product after reading all the negative comments. Well, I decided to be optomistic and try it. I have never been happier using a product like this. I have not taken out the iron for the past month. I find it may not be 5X's faster than the infomercial says but maybe with time it will be. I have used an industrial steamer in the past, it is heavy and it is too big to keep in a closet, etc. I do not find much difference between the industrial steamer and the Tobi. Maybe there are some out there who don't exactly know how to use a steamer or it's abilities, but I think it works just great. I have been telling everyone I know about this steamer. I am truly pleased with it and feel it is worth every bit of money paid. Follow the directions completely and give it another try. A little tid bit....most professional sewing work rooms use distilled water in their irons! And, the Tobi directions does mention distilled water although I have been using tap. Good Luck!

I bought this product in April 2007 after being taken in by the infomercial, like many. I opted to pay the full amount up front and my credit card was charged $119.00 plus shipping of $18.00. I received the extra "travel" pack, tree, and hangers. The product arrived in one large box just less than 2 weeks after I ordered it. Everything was there and I put it together per the instructions (and I am just awful at assembling things but this was easy). I turned it on and was shocked it worked every bit as easy as the commercial showed. I use it everyday, literally, and don't know what I'd do without it. For me it works much better than my steam iron. My kids love it and my teenagers actually now steam their own clothes and don't look so wrinkled. I've demonstrated it to many friends and family, and my mother and sister now want one for Christmas.

I recently purchased this product and when I first put it together it did not work. I discovered this website and was thinking oh no a "sucker is born every day". I was ready to send it back and decided to try one more time. I took everything apart and reassembled it then played with it a bit to make sure everything was right. I turned the holder around so it was 180 degrees to the Tobi, and I also played with diffent positions of the nozzle. NOW IT WORKS GREAT. I discovered the position of the nozzle on the handle can cut off the steam. I've used it several times now and it works every bit as good as the commercials say it does. P.S. In answer to those people that say it leaks on the floor. Mine did too originally. But not anymore anymore. Just be sure the drain plug is tight. Judi
