A friend of mine bought this product and is very excited to try it. I looked over the product information and got excited myself. I want to thank everyone for writing down their complaints, because now I'm not even going to attempt to purchase this product and I'm also going to warn my friend and have her check her credit card statements for purchases that she didn't authorize.
Thanks again everyone! You saved me a headache!

I am writing to combat some of the false complaints I have seen on this website. While I do agree that these online companies are terrible at times with handling money and getting orders right, I think this product does well. I ordered right from their website and in 5 weeks got my product and have not had a single charge since then. I apologize to anyone who has had troubles with being overcharged and such.

I would like to address the people who say that it is junk and does not work. If you follow the program just as it says and do everything correctly, you can lose the amount of weight they promise. My cousin was put on a plan by his dietitian that was identical to the 6 Week Body Makeover and he has lost 99 pounds. Drink plenty of water, stick to the meal plan and eat when your supposed to and the amount your supposed to and you cannot fail this program. Buyer must beware of problems with transactions but as far as the product, it is one of the true infomercial products that is worth the money.

the only problem i had was that the sales rep continued to tell me about pills, extra bands, etc. i had to keep telling her that all I wanted was the program and nothing more. the program is great. it is only for disciplined people. the diet is very strict and similar to that of professional bodybuilders. you must have time to prepare the meals in advance and you have to be creative in order to makeup for the absence of salt and oils. it works; however, it is not easy.

I ordered the Six Week Body Makeover after watching the infomercial. When it arrived, I examined it thoroughly, and decided it was not a healthy program, and could possibly be dangerous to some individuals. I decided not to use the program or the Metobolic Fat Fighter. However, I did not try to return it, because I was interested in the Exercise program. I simply paid the price I had agreed to, and thought that was the end of it.
A couple weeks ago, I received another shipment of the Metobolic Fighter. I called to tell them I did not order or want the pills, and that I would be refusing acceptance of them. The representative told me to send them Certified, and insured. I said I should not have to pay to return something I had not ordered.
When this month's credit card bill came in, I was charged more for the product than originally quoted. When I called back to complain, I was told the burden of proof of the return was on me, I should have insured it in order to track it. (even though the return confirmation number they gave me was clearly written on the package) That as soon as I provide "proof" that I returned it, they will refund my money. After, reading the Reviews for this company, I realize that was not true, either.
I appears their program must really be ineffective if they have to resort to these shameful and dishonest tactics.

I am in the same boat as most of the others I am reading about. All these charges for products that I am not receiving! So far I have been charged over 175.00 for What! I have no idea! Trying to get them to stop so far is impossible. If anyone has suggestions besides closing my account I would like to know!

I think the "pill" thing happens when you DONT read what you are doing online, it gives you the option of ordering them or not ordering them, its a big naggy, it asks you a few times before you check out. You can't just buy something online and blindly click thru. I got my program and NO pills :) Half of the responsibility is your own.

I have had no problems with the program. I have been on it for 3 months and have lost 50 pounds. Whenever I've asked for a statement of my account for things that are charged, I receive it. They haven't sent me anything that I haven't ordered.

My suggestion to all of you ordering this product is to go through the []. I ordered the program through a recent [] promotion and had no problems with pills being sent to my house. The program was also cheaper than the infomercial offer.

If that is not an option, order it online. Ordering online will allow you to completely opt out of any auto-delivery programs, pills or otherwise. NEVER CALL to order products from an infomercial, they'll scam you everytime!

I'm very excited about this program. Good luck to all of you!
Ok, I am a pro at this stuff now for 4 years, so listen up, when ever any new prodcts come out in a informercial GO TO [] to search for it and buy there if you want it bad enough and you hear a 50/50 good and bad reviews on it. If you hear more bad stuff on a product then good then your best bet is to leave it alone. Anyhow, every company putting out a informercial usually gets 1000 plus customers they persuade into buying something and the end result will either be that the person can not do the program or just not satisfied with customer service, hence, people are stuck with the product and sale it on [] for less then what they bought it. I know that is sad but hey if you dont like a product you can put it back on [] and sell it, sort of like rotating a product around so that others don't get scammed out of alot of money and in some way your helping the company with the informercial not make anymore money. Any how, i did try this product and YES IT DOES WORK when you follow the plan as I had lost 48 pounds in a 2.5 months time frame. I do have to disagree with those who claim they are eating no salt because that isnt true because every food has salt in it, i think most of these people are complaining because they are so use to loaded salt on their food. Also, this program has tons of recipes for ones to try so there were other options besides the bland foods ones were mentioning. This program mainly focus on limiting the amount of sugar, fat, salt/sodium. The bad part is that when ever you go off this program your body will pay for it as your body has adjusted to a new way of food intake so when you start going back to alot of salt, sugar, and etc. you will get major diarrhea in the first fried or what ever greasy food you eat that isnt inline with the program. Another bad thing is that this program works best when you have friends doing it. Doing it alone is hard and you will fall off the plan alot when doing it alone because being around others eating all the foods one use to eat is just too enticing cuz its almost like your getting over a addiction like smoking which was my down fall and then you may gain 2-3 times the weight you had lost. If your a picky eater and a person who easily whines about any little thing then this program is not for you. As a matter of fact all picky people and ones who easily whine about stuff need not buy anything from informercials ever because you will never be happy even if gold was handed to you. Anyway, I never had any customer service issues when I purchased it but hence I only use those visa gift cards at the grocery stores you buy and load money on to it and in that way no one can continue any monthly charge without contacting me and hence I tell them to kiss my left toosh when I see them trying to charge me additional amounts wrongfully. P.S. when ever a company charges you wrong and you call and the reppresentative doesn't do as you request or you can't reach the company then don't get frustrated and dont argue or fuss. Just politely tell them 'I will be reporting you to the Better Business Burea, you have nice day/evening' and smile while you are telling them this and hang up AND THEN do just that immediately, dont wait, file a report as soon as you get off the phone. The BBB may take a couple of weeks to get back to you when you first file but what many consumers don't know is that when a dispute is put out on a company they have 30 days to respond. If they do not respond a report on BBB goes out on that company concerning the dispute and hence everyone who is a savvy researcher finds out how bad the company is, as well even if the company responds and it is not the solution that you want you can refuse it and the dispute remains posted on the company. when I use to use my cards with large limits on it I had a company who kept charging me and i called fussed and got myself all worked up and of course the representative doesnt care cuz it isn't their money , nevertheless, i changed my credit card number and submitted a report to the BBB and in 3.5 weeks later i got all my money put back on my card and then some and since then started using visa gift cards.

Do not give them your credit card number!!!
The accrual weight lose program is good a high protein diet with a very basic exercise regiment. The problem is once they got my credit card numbers, the keep billing me for vitamins and counseling that I never ordered. They sent me some B-vitamins for $39.98, $7.99 for shipping. Plus I had to pay the cost of Fed-Ex them back to them.

The following-on charges are un-ethical. Do Not Give Them Your Credit Card Number!!!
I found the company to be very friendly when trying to return the product. Called and received a discount to keep it, but he was all too willing to give me the authorization number to return it if I wanted to. I changed my mind about returning it after talking with him and received the discount. I'm on the program ... although restrictive ... it's a weight loss DIET ... not an eating plan. It's meant to get the weight off before you would probably need to switch to a more reasonable eating plan, i.e., counting calories, Weight Watchers, etc. I had no trouble and no extra items were shipped or billed to me.

I ordered this product back in October. I did it by phone using my check card. I was told my total would come up to $169.99 and I can break those payments up. Well I did that and declined everything else additional that they offered me. Here it is March and I noticing they are still taking money out of my account. I added up everything so far and it has come to $261.27! I called and they said I owe one more payment of $30.47 in April. I asked how did this happen and they claimed I signed on for additional pills which I did not. Of course it was too late by this time to return the product. I hope I can sell this [ ] and at least get half my money back.

Let the buyer beware............ I told my wife let me talk to them so there are no misunderstandings, the program itself may very well be a great program but I wanted no pills sent to us or any other product that would be on auto ship as I know how some companies can be. well low and behold they did put us on some autoship for some pills we did not order are charging us 19.99 on 1/25/08 and 27.98 on 1/28/08...I immediatly got on the phone with them and my C.C. company and hope I don't have any other problems like some of the other on this site... I am very shocked that Mr. Thurmond would be associated with a company like this, again my beef is not with Mr. thurmond - unless he knows about the way they do business with people, my beef is how they just add what ever they want and get you to pay.. Oh by the way the $47.97 reshipment of pills they send you that you did not order, to send them back you have to pay for shipping and include the authorization number and they will only refund you $19.99 as they say the $27.98 is for shipping and handling this is such a rip off it stinks I hope this helps someone out there in avoiding any B.S. with Provida Labs LET THE BUYER BEWARE !!

I bought the program I used it for few week didnt like it , only the exercises bends ,I cancel the program because they keep sending me diet pills without asking and the charge me $40.00 por one and they said it was cancel but they keeep chargin me for pills i dont get.
2/24/2008 - Yvonne writes:
I don't have a problem with the porgram itself. What I do have a problem with is that they have been charging my credit card every month as we agreed and then I get a collection notice telling me I have not been making payments and demanding all money to be paid (including what I have already paid) or they will report me to the credit bureaus. Buyers beware. Run as far as you can from this company.

I bought the product and although it is hard to stick to, it really does work. I now see many diets that recommend the same eating patterns. AFter the first few days, you really do get used to no salt. (There are so many other spices like Mrs. Dash). It uses 6 small meals, you don't feel hungry and you must walk for 30 minutes. Just good common sense. No fancy pills. You need to find other ways to cook the lean chicken and turkey. I used lemon, or white wine as a marinade. It works if you work it!

I first attempted to order this product about a year ago and paid in full but never received the product. It took the threat of a lawsuit to get a refund. Always the lover of self abuse, I reordered this product late last year. In case it did not work for me, I marked on the calendar that my 6 week deadline was 1 February 08. 'Lo and behold, in 6 weeks time, I lost a whopping 4 pounds! Today I called to return the product as the infomercial says that you can do. I was told that the product was non returnable because the 6 week deadline was in January. I asked if anything could be done since the product did not work and was told not after the 6 week deadline. This is not a customer friendly company and is not interested in anything but the dollar lining their pockets.

the only problem i had with the product was that i ordered the fat burning pills to go with it and insted of 1 they gave me 2 and i was charged for it...other than that the product is great, started it a week ago and i lost 5 pounds...the other problems you all had might have been solved with ordering it online...thats what i did...and yes they offer other things but you can just click no to them...this product is totally worth the money!!!!
