I wish I had also read this sight first. What a shame that I ended up being "afraid" to send it back. The customer service rep was so hateful and almost threatened me that I would not get my money back. He stated since I was too close to the deadline, they would not guarantee any refund and demanded to know why I wanted to return it. When I refused to tell him, he made it clear that the cut off time was too close. I said I had to give the program a valiant attempt but "found it to be a worthless system." He then told me I needed to stop sitting in front of the television looking for an excuse to over-eat. You could have heard a pin drop on that one! I was so angry I slammed the phone down and now I am left with this box of "fire-kindling." Michael, maybe you should read this website too because you are just as guilty as Providia because YOUR name is on the box!

This is the biggest crock of crap that I have ever heard! I, like many of you, were taken in by this seemingly wonderful and easy solution for weight loss. So I ordered the product and went through the steps and started eating like the book said to. I couldn't do it. You can't have any salt, sugar, not even taste. This is the worst program ever and I don't know how the people in the infomercial stuck with it. So if you've been thinking about trying this, don't eve waste your time.

I purchaced this product after seeing the infomercial. I was roped into the supplements and recipe books as well. I started the program and was ready to go. Well, after a few days of an extremely restrictive diet plan, I started to feel lousy, I had an upset stomach from about the 2nd day. I did loss weight the first week but then it became dificult to follow the program. I found it way too restrictive for me. No dairy, not even skim or soy mik, no salt, no prepared foods or salad dressings, not even eggbeaters. I tried everything to give my food some taste, but I was unable to enjoy any meals. This is a problem because you are expected to eat 6 times a day. I was at the point that I just could not even think about eating. I felt bloated and uncomforable. My stomach hurt and I felt nausiated from the moment I took the first suppliment. I tryed eating first, then stopped taking th suppementm without any improvement. I was really motivated to diet but not at this expense. I came home from work one day after about 2 1/2 weeks and said screw it. I proceeded to eat a bag of M&M's and felt better immediately. Since I stopped this ridiculous weight loss program I went back to what I know works, Weight Watchers and I have lost 24 bs in 8 weeks". It is no "6 week body makeover but I am feeing 100% better.
I called Provida and was asked why I was sending it back, which suprised me until I read the other comments on this site. It has been a month since I sent everything back and I am still waiting for my refund.

I saw the infomercial and thought the program sounded logical. But aftering receiving it, putting the book together, I changed my mind completely. The menus and food listed are awful. I can't eat spiced egg whites ! Maybe it's me and I'm not dedicated enough, but I'd be surprised if anyone could actually follow through on this.

What a scam! I hung up while ordering & they had gotten enough info to ship this out & charge my account. I was confused when it arrived, as I thought it was not ordered! I called, got a return #, told them I wanted the shipping also refunded, now I am on the phone with them wondering where my credit is & they "can't find the return" in their sytem. This is outrageous & this "fly by night" operation needs to be sued & shut down. Run from this commercial!

I fell for this and I feel stupid! I ordered this product mainly because of the "100% money back" guarantee. I was angry when I looked at the invoice and found I'd been charged a whopping $50.96 non-refundable shipping and handling fee. I contacted Providia and was told by their customer service rep that the shipping costs were in "fine print" on the informercial. Now I have to mail back this pile of junk at my own expense and hope that they get around to refunding my money. I'm furious. Don't fall for this!

While I would argue with people who say that it doesn't work, I have to agree with people complaining about customer service and ordering in general. I ordered on line and even though I clicked No,thank you to all additional products, those products were added to my order anyway. There was no away to avoid those offers because it doesn't let you to go to the next page without clicking No, thank you. I called next day to remove those additional products, but was told it has been processed already and is being shipped. I told them that I am canceling order and expect no charge to my credit card. They canceled after all. Too bad, good program ( if you are disciplined enought) and good name as Michael Thurman are compromized by such bad service.

I too was taken in by the infomercial and made the regretted call! I was so mad after using the automated system, that I decided to call customer service right away and cancel my order! I was told that they couldn't cancel it the same day, it had to be 24 hrs later! The next day was 7.03.07. The closed early and didn't tell me the day before, so I called on the 5th and was told that my product had been sent - WHAT!!! I wasn't supposed to receive it for 4-6 weeks! I think they put a rush on it because I had called to cancel so soon! I refused the shipment when UPS came and called today to tell them their product is on its way back and was told I have to pay over $26.00 S&H!! That's CRAZY!! I am furious with this company and they are a scam! If they don't get you with their product, they'll get you somehow! I reported them to the BBB!

I ordered my product, went to their figure out your body type site, and got 2 different body types. I immediately called them, and sent an email canceling my order. They sent it anyway, they said they did not receive my request to cancel. This stuff is junk, the customer service people were so rude and nasty. I think this company should be sued.

I purchased this product and received it 4 weeks later. After assembling my package and reviewing it, I decided that there was really NO NEW information for me in this program. So I wanted to return it. The infomercial says "MONEY BACK GUARANTEE ... NO QUESTIONS ASKED!". Well that is untrue. The Customer service department is VERY rude. I have no problem with the price...I knew the price when I ordered. But when they go out of their way to make sure you know you have 6 weeks to return it for your MONEY BACK...they are belligerant and completely rude. Bottom line...eat healthy, exercise more and don't order ANYTHING from infomercials claiming MONEY BACK. It is NEVER that easy!

I have only had it for 2 weeks and not only am I starving – I have gained weight! In reading the small print, multi-page plan book, I found out that if you have a problem with your Thyroid, this plan will not work for you and may even make you gain weight. I do not have a problem with my Thyroid, but am borderline (getting tested every year). At no point in time was I told this in ordering it. I am trying to return it now, but they will not pick up the phones!

I bought this product which cost me an arm and a leg and they customer service people where ridiculous. I called to ask if there where any other vegtables you could eat with it and the guy blew up. "no only what's in the book" "do you know how to read" I wanted to jump through the phone and slap the guy. I later called back to speak to a supervisor and was told they did'nt speak to customers. I tried to return it after a couple days and they told me I couldn't because it had been opened. JERKS.

I ordered this product but it did not come so I called customer service. They infomred me first that is was sent but then told me it was not sent because they did not have the zip code. The representative was so rude to me after I voiced complaint that they should have called me to tell me they did not have the right credit card, especially since I had got an email saying it had been sent. Since she was so rude, I told her to cancel my order since it had not been sent. She basically said that she could not gurarentee to cancel it since the warehouse was next door and she may not be able to notify them by Monday. TOday is Friday...gessh, dont' they have a computer system for orders! Anyway, her rudeness made me go online finding this stuff as well as other links identifying this company in a very negative light. I called my credit card company immediatly and she told me how to handle it and filed a dispute on the charge on my account. Anyway, just wanted to let everyone know. You may also want to go to this bbb site showing many, many complaints against the company. []

I too was impressed with tye infomercial, and seeing it on Lifetime Channel somehow gave it more clout. When ordering thier product I tried to order only the plan, after my credit card info was entered a box on the bottom of the page blakened itself to enroll me to thier supplements and all the other garbage they try to bilk you on. After 3 attempts to un-blaken the box, I tried to cancel the transaction. At that the order submitted itself and I was Duped! Thanks to some quick thinking they only got me for $47. I cancelled the C/C. I since got collection letters from a Lawyers office, and a phone call, threatening to put a bad entry on my credit report. I refuse to be ripped off, and I hope they try to get a judgment. It will shed even more light on these THIEVES! Keep the Faith Baby August, So. Florida

I got up early one Saturday morning and saw the Six Week Body Makeover infomercial. Who could resist the product? Michael Thurmond promised that you could eat more, and exercise less! I thought, "Why not?" It seemed simple and risk-free, since they also emphasized that, if you were not happy with their product, you could return their product and get your money back with no questions asked. I called and ordered. What was supposed to cost me six payments of $20 ended up totaling ONE PAYMENT of over $300 because I was talked into getting faster shipping, supplements, recipe books, etc. Seven days later, I received one big box and a smaller box. It took me an hour to put that small binder together. I had to sort through pages of thin paper and organize the tabs. The worst part was that I didn't learn anything new. I found out I was Body Type A, and I was supposed to eat more fish and only certain kinds of fruit and vegetables. Huh??? But I thought I could eat more! The catch turned out to be that I could eat more often, but less. Oh come on! I paid $300 for this? You could get that information on their website when you do the body typing free. The package comes with subliminal cd's that I wanted to throw out the window. There are six cd's with a monotone woman talking about your breathing. I fell asleep within five minutes of her telling me to relax. ALL the cd's have the same basic message, with about five minutes of different "encouragements" for each cd. Again, I cannot believe I paid so much money for all that stuff. The worst part was calling the buttheads who were all too happy taking my order, and who, all of the sudden, became brusque after I said I wanted my money back. Mind you, I was not yelling or demanding; but I was matter-of-fact. The woman I spoke to kept asking WHY I wanted to get a refund, and I said, "I'm sorry, but your ads on TV and Internet say 'No questions asked.'" She said she wouldn't ask if she didn't have to, and proceeded to instruct me how to mail everything. I had to pay about $30 to send back the packages, and now I am waiting 7 to 30 days to get credited for $256 of the $316 I spent. The customer service reps were rude and curt. If you ask for your money back, they talk to you like you're scum. After being treated this way, I was GLAD I asked for my money back. In fact, if I don't get my money back within the 30 days they promised, I'm filing a dispute through my credit card company. I would not recommend this product to anyone. There is nothing in this plan that you can't get from health books or magazines.

I thought I was the only one that felt as if this product did not work and that it was a scam. The product is so confusing and half of the stuff you throw away because its not made for your body type. I did not deal with any customer service cause I knew they would be nasty about it. But what I didn't know was that you get supplement pills which they charge way too much for and on top of that I do not use them cause for one there useless. I know I was chared over 200.00 dollars for this crap that is hard to stick to and the recipes are crappy. They continued to keep charging me for this product even though I already paid for it at least 2 times over! So I did them in and had my account closed so they would not take anymore of my hard earned money. Never buy anything off of tv...never.

This is a complete waste of time and money to buy this system. If you're a person who would take all the time to type yourself and follow detailed instructions, then maybe you'd be happy with this program, but for me, it sucked. I had to sort through hundreds of sheets of cheap thin paper which eventually had to be placed in a book. I spent about 2 hours trying to do this process and most of the paper gets thrown away because it applies to other body types. You can be 100% sure you're typing yourself correctly from the start... The diet is stupid...He's got people eating potatoes which are high in sugars and there is absolutely nothing about this program that is so unique...The program comes with stretchy bands you can buy anywhere and a few videos..It's overly hyped, overly expensive and I don't for one moment think anyone sticks to this program..regardless of the testimonials.. Better to join [], buy some stretchy bands or weights and go for a walk. This MIchael Thurmond is a QUACK!

Their TV infomercial never mentioned taking supplements as part of the makeover. When I called to order and the automated voice told me about the supplements, I tried to cancel. There was no opportunity or way for me to cancel, so I was forced to accept the product. When I returned it the same day, they did not refund the $28 shipping charges. Their ordering system is flawed; it should provide an opportunity to change your mind!

The customer service upon ordering the product relied false information to obtain a sale. The total billed was over $100 more than advertised on the TV. Trying to cancel the order within two days, I was hung up on, called a liar, and completely frustrated. I was informed by my doctor the product was not safe and to cancel the order. The infomercial stated the product was completely safe. The infomercial was a marketing tool with completely bogus facts.
