I think its important to here both bad and good on products. So here is my opinion.
I bought the Air Climber from Sports Authority in August 2008 and love it, love it, love it! I was fortunate enough to get $25 off because the Sports Authority store was having a grand opening and gave out coupons so I ended up paying about $80 for my Air Climber.
I don't agree with others who belive the product is cheaply made. It is sturdy yet lightweight and easy to carry around which I like. The first week I started working out without the DVD and regret this decision. Start with the DVD because Brenda is fabulous and very encouraging. After only about 2 weeks, my mid section is flatter and tighter and I am so motivated to get even better.
Put the Air Climber wherever you spend the most time. I put mine in the living room in front of my big screen TV and use it while watching my favorite programs.
This is the best exercise equipment I ever bought and even if it breaks I will replace it immediately. Best of Luck!

I bought the air climber on HSN and when I received it I did think it was very cheaply made. It did work good and provided a pretty good workout however, I kept hearing a cracking noise from the left step. Well last night during my workout I found out what the cracking noise was it was the plastic step cracking at the stress point where the computer installs. It the middle of the workout the step cracked in half. I have attempted to contact the company and as all the other complaints say you are on hold for ever.

I ordered an airclimber over the phone and received 2 instead of 1 and was charged twice. I have been trying to send the second one back for 2 weeks now and the DHL return label they have provided is not valid. I can't get anyone to send me a new label. They told me to take it to the post office. This is their mistake and I have to take time off of my day to take this big box to the post office, pay for the shipping myself in order to get my money back. And this is their mistake. Unbelievable!

Hi!
I bought an Air Climber in November. Instead of ordering thru their site, I ordered thru HSN. I absolutely love it!! I lost over 3" the first 2 weeks using it.
However: my complaint is the "bonus" DVD that came with the Air Climber. It has "3 new workouts"... and NONE of them are using the Air Climber!! They are simply boring floor routines with Brenda ( I think that's her name). I felt scammed on that one. On the infomercial it sounded like 3 new Air Climber workouts- THAT would be a bonus.

I purchased the air climber about a month ago. Use it for three days, then the bellows would not reinflate. I have been calling to get it exchange. And they only leave you on hold. Waited ONE hour and still no answer. I even tried to e-mail them and never get the info that I request. NOT A GOOD PURCHASE. They really do know how to scam people.

I received the Air Climber beginning of March 2008 and it was broken so I sent it back to an address they gave me. Luckily I got insurance from the post office. They are still taking my money even though I have no product and no recourse that I can see. Any suggestions on how I can put a stop to the automatic payment withdrawals? The "customer service" is very rude when they find out you've already bought and want some actual help.

one of this things happen to me from buying another product wich of course was a scam, before purchasing this product I've tried to get as much information as I can and from this complaints I've decided not to purchase this products. People alway check the most important details of buying from shipping and handling sometimes its even more expensibe to ship something back than what the actual product costs, if the product fails or is not worth it you can send it back , but you have to pay for shipping and handling (again). or when you get your credit card charged from what I know there is nothing you can do. The best thing to do is get as much information as you can before buying junk like this or anything else.

Received product without an invoice or any return documents which concerned me right away. the product is a joke--not what they were advertising. Instead of charging my credit card $39 over 3 months they charged all at once--not what they said on the phone. Better get my money back from these guys

I just tried to order the airclimber and the customer service lady kept trying to make me order more stuff for additional money! I kept saying no, then after frustration, I sucked my teeth and hung up the phone! I decided to go on line and order the product myself. I happened to see this website...you guys have truly saved me. I am going to contact my credit card company and block the payment just in case they try to still bill me. Based on all that I have read, what a shame that this fitness guru cannot stand behind the product she is selling. I am always going to read reviews before purchasing from now on. Thanks!

I ordered the Air Climber after seeing in on a TV, the product looked great, and promised a good over all body workout. When I opened the box the first thing went across my mind was, what a piece of junk!! I took it out of the box and read the instructions on inflating the billows. Of course the billows will not stay inflated. You get about 6 good steps then it is flat, you have to reinflate get back on...this is a big hassel and not worth the money. I wish I had read the reviews before buy this, what a let down!!

I recieved the air climber, when I open the boxed I quickly realized it was used, because it was dirty and the timer was broken. I looked for the form to return the item but the was no form. I sent an e-mail and I hope to recieve an answer soon.

I just removed the air climber from the box, here is how i feel about it- First off, my first impression was, what a cheap piece of plastic garbage it is. There was absolutely no invoice in the box, just a red piece of plastic junk, 2 resistance bands and a dvd( that i didn't think came with it, i hope they don't charge me for them ) and the obligatory "diet program" that no one ever follows. i gave it the benefit of the doubt, and tried it, not judging on its appearance but hoping it gave my poor saggy glutes a good workout. well, let me tell you , it is the wimpiest workout ever ! The bellows make a loud whooshing sound, the thing glided across my carpeted floor, i ended up on the other end of the room by the end of the dvd! my resistance bands were different from the one Brenda uses on the video, whereas, mine attach at both sides, so when using only one band at a time, you tend to lift the air climber off the ground whilst working out, causing yourself rock the thing backwards and teeter to the floor. i have not received my credit card statement yet, for this, but i hope they don't charge me for the dvd..i wouldn't pay to look at Brenda's horse toothed grin. ( is it me or does her mouth get bigger and bigger each year )the workout is a waste. i got off my airclimber after 20 minutes and had to run on my treadmill to feel like i did anything worth a calorie burn. basically, this thing is garbage, you wont feel a burn, you wont work up a sweat, it is poorly constructed, and i wouldnt pay more that $9.99 for it. I have no idea how to return this thing now, return shipping is going to be a fortune.

I ordered this product through tv add in early December. I just received today 1-10-08. I couldn't believe what I rec'd! It is a piece of plastic junk. There were absolutely no instruction (other than that little piece of paper on one of peddles). No billing sheet saying what they sent, what I'm being charged, return information, warranty, Nothing!!!!! I want to take tihs to the post office and return to the address shown on shipping label but how do I get my money back? I got online to find a phone number or something and found all these complaints! Now I am really worried. All I could locate was a customer service area to email your question to but doesn't sound like I will hear from them. I found on the website (to order) that you had only 30 days from the date of purchase to return if you weren't happy with product....heck it took them over 30 days to send to me!!!! I didin't see a phone number but found a tab for customer service to email your question. I did send one to them but am not expecting a response now after reading all these complaints. I think we need to contact our State Attorney General's office and ALL complain!

I ordered this product over the internet back in October of this year. They told me it would take at least 6 weeks to be shipped to be because of the high demand. After 2 months, I did not receive it so one night I was watching the infomercial and decided to order it again. I spoke to a live person who looked up my name and credit card information and was told they did not have any record of my previous order. I ordered it again. Needless to say I was shipped 2 Air Climbers and my account has been charged twice. To say this is a scam is an understatement.

I am not happy at all with the company. My husband called to order the air climber and after 4 weeks of not receiving the item, he called and was told the order was never processed?! Again he ordered the product. After another 6 weeks he realized they had charged our credit card $64.94 twice! He called the complain and was told both orders where processed and all he had to do was return one to sender. in the meanwhile, we have two charges of $64.94 plus expect they will credit another 2 payments of $35.00 for each air climber. No telling how long after we return the extra air climber before we get our full credit- that is if we do.

I will cut and paste the letter to my bank, who is investigating this joke of a product! I want to say that this merchandise was an absolute dissapointment. Upon seeing it on an info-mercial (which I watched for a full half hour before ordering the product), I felt it would be a good way to keep working out once the snow fell. The machine appeared to be quite good size and the step quite efficient for a good workout. Upon opening the box, I noticed how small it was in comparison to what was shown on tv. I first reached for the paperwork and read that throughly before removing the machine from its box. The instructions warned that the pedals (bellows) would be fairly flat and needed to be "inflated". It also went on numerous times to instruct me NOT to lift or pull the bellows in any way or damage would occur to the climber, this making it non-returnable. I carefully lifted the climber from the box and immediately sliced the side of my fore finger on a sharp edge of the plastic where the computer was to be installed. I was rather shocked at how thin and cheaply made the plastic casing was. I could tell that it could easily be cracked or damaged. The intructions said to turn the inflator knob and the bellows would inflate with air. I turned the knob and the bellows raised about two inches, making the step only at about 6 inches. I was afraid to pull on the pedals (because of the warnings against damage) so it was pretty much as high as I was going to get the pedals. But, I hadn't stepped on it yet so, I was still hopeful. Then, I found the packet containing the computerized monitor and went ot install that, but there was no battery included, so I did not bother. I figured if I had to purchase a battery (which should have been included, one would think), that I should not bother to install it just to have to remove it again for the battery.. So, with all that done.. I decided to stand and try out this climber. I did so, and there was really no decent resistance, I turned yet another plastic knob that seemed to do nothing.. and felt no difference in the resistance. Worse of all, was that there was no real incline to these steps. They were only about 6 inches.
Try to step on two six inch pedals , close together, with no real resistance and have a workout. Pathetic. I immediately put the machine back into the plastic and the box. I then scouted throughly the instruction booklet and all its contents for a return number or authorization card. There was absolutely nothing even mentioning being able to return the product or any information on refunds. I went to the website, there was only ordering information, not one thing about how to return the merchandise if not satisfied.
There was a "contact us" link, which lead to nothing. I did find a phone number on the very back of the instruction booklet. I called and was sent through an automated system. I was instructed that the wait to talk to a Customer Service Rep would be 34 minutes. I stayed on the line for quite a while, but gave up. I called back to be told it would be 60 minutes to talk to a rep. It was obvious to me at that point that I was not dealing with a reputable company. I then called Bank of America in hopes that they would have a different phone number and I would be more successful. They had the same number. After spending quite a bit of time with a representative from Bank of America, we decided it was best to make a formal complaint and have it investigated. I really do not know what I should do at this point. The machine is in pristine condition, in the box, placed safely in my garage. It is easy to see that it has not been used at all. I was hoping that the company would contact me once they were unable to collect any further
installments through my account. I have heard nothing at all. Upon placing the order,I gave them my home phone and mailing address. I am easily reachable, they are not. If Bank of America has had contact with this company, I would appreciate resolving this matter.
I simply want to return the cheaply made, joke of a step climber and get my money back. Please inform me as to what I need to do next!
