Well, it looks like they got me too! I placed the order 3 weeks ago, and after having some difficulty communicating with a Jamaican-sounding person, placed my order for the kit AND PAID THE RUSH CHARGES so that I would have the product within 3 to 4 days.  The product was to be delivered to my work address as there is always somebody on our mail dock available to accept packages. Well, naturally, I have received no product and it's been three weeks since my initial order. I doubt they've even sent it.... I found this site while looking for a way to contact Shop America about their shoddy services. I sure wish I'd read all of this before placing the order!!!

My partner and I are going through the exact same thing with the Dr. Atkins Diet.  We paid for a fast delivery and it took 3 weeks to get it.  When we called to check on the status we got that big run around with a # that was for customer service and got an answering machine.  We have since then decided we longer want to even try the product and have refused the product and are trying to get a full refund.  From the looks of it it seems to be like pulling teeth.   I hope more people start talking and get this scam off the market.  Its not right that we spend our hard earned money for something and get nothing out of it.   This scam and any other scam must GO!

I am glad I stumbled onto this website. I was looking for Atkins Answer website to order the product and ended up reading all these stories of people getting ripped off! I am always leary of ordering off infomercials, but after reading all the stories, I will leave my money in the bank. Thanks

In May of 2002, I ordered the Atkins videotapes and the first trial bottle of pills hard to remember now. Thereafter and without my permission a withdrawal was taken from my Visa Check Card (checking account debit card)  in the amount of approximately $70-something and some change.  I called and was put through to a supervisor and she said they would take care of it that it was done in error. A few weeks later another charge of about $29.95 was withdrawn from my account again. I called and they said it would be taken care of. In the meantime, I closed my account so that there would not be anymore withdrawals made from Shop America. I informed them that it was now a dead account and not to credit anything to it. I waited and waited and waited to hear from themand decided to bring my paperwork and all of my notes (as to who I had spoken with) to work and had put it in my vehicle. My vehicle, with the paperwork still in it, was torched right in front of my house and I lost everything. They claim the credited money to my dead account. Does anyone think I'm getting the run around?

I have also been taken by the atkins answer scam.  Once I received the product I decided that it was not worth the money so I sent the package back by certified mail which cost $12.00 and to date have not received a refund.  I tried to contact shop america through it's bogas e-mail address that I was given when I contacted the atkins center and this company does not even have an account.  The phone number of course is being checked for trouble.   These people need to be found NOW! I WANT MY MONEY BACK.  I have learned a valuable lesson and I will check for sights like this before I order anything else from an infomercial.

This is information for those that are inquiring about their orders of Atkins.  I don't work for them, but I had a similar problem.  The customer Service Number for Shop America, you know the T.V. show where you bought the Product from is 1-800-391-4834.  Call and they will be able to tell you what happened with your order, etc.  They have a credit card department as well.   Unfortunatelly, my credit card was denied and that's why I never received the products, but for all of you who's credit card was charged for more than it was supposed to or whatever.  Call that number and they will be able to pull up your account.   I hope this was of help.

We ordered Atkin's Answer in March of 2003, and after waiting 3 weeks we called about our delivery.  We were told that they would send us another order and it would take up to 3 to 4 weeks.  It has been 3 months!   We again called customer service and we were told the only way that we could get our money back is if the delivery is returned to them, but wouldn't we have to get it first before we could return it?  This is going nowhere.

have tried repeataly to contact these people.   I have written them asking for my money back.  I have called and they only seem to have voice mail.  I have yet to talk to a person.  Instead of a charge or 29.95 on my credit card I was charged 91.80.

I purchased the Dr. Atkins video tapes on May 4th and on May 5th I called Shop America back to tell them i had changed my mind about the product because they had told me that it would take up to four weeks to process my order, they told me that my order had already been filled and that they could not cancell it.   I would have to wait until I recieved the items and then i refuse the package and could just write "return to sender" on it and when they recieved it i would get a credit on my account for the item.  It is now the end of June almost two months later and i called my credit card company and still no credit.  The funny thing about it was that i had already forgotten about this purchase if it had not been for a telephone solisitor from shop america that had called me to try and sell me something else.   She told me that since i had bought from them in the past and that trigged my memory that i never did recieve my credit i asked her for the phone number to custome service and she gave me some number to an oil company.

March 2002 I saw the infomercial on tv - order, paid w/visa, received mat'l on Packing Slip #4122 ($29.95, $11.95 S & H, $7.95 priority (authorized by me) = $49.85 Total charges to my visa. On 5/16/02 I sent the entire package back to the above address w/o even opening anything.  Everything was sent back in the packaging it was received.  I have NEVER recvd a credit or my goods returned. I have tried numerous times to contact these people by telephone, email, to no avail.  I would at least want my material that I paid for back if anything!!   This was all done thru Shop America I believe.  They can't even be contacted.   If u could help in any way - at least get my purchased mat'l back to me.  It is SOOOO frustrating.  I still see these people doing infomercials for products on the tv.

As with all of you out there, I too ordered the Atkins Plan. Without even opening it I returned the product about 1 week after receiving it, Which keep in mind took 2 months to get after paying for express delivery,to this day 29 May 03 I have not recieved a penny back yet. I'd say we may be looking at a lawsuit here. any one else agree? After all these people are making millions off of consumers like us who keep these criminals in business. I do believe being military may help my cause.
