Total piece of Chinese junk! Works in the sun but not on the car windows. Way to slow to be efficient. Good concept but the unit sucks.

I purchased this product for 10 dollars. As soon as I got home, I was excited to try it out since my car boils after 5 minutes in the Atlanta summer heat. Cutting the weather strip wasn't bad. Putting in on the door didn't bother me. What got to me was after the work... It DIDN'T work. The products solar panel is at a horrible angle and the fan is way too small anyway. I took the cooler off the door and placed my hand IN the slot where the air supposedly comes out... no sense of airflow what so ever. This product is horrible. Do not waste your time or money.

My wife purchased an Auto Cool fan and found no change in interior temperature of her car.
After actually seeing the product it is quite obvious from the design of the fan why it does not work. The fan mechanism itself is too small and the solar-powered motor rotates too slowly to move enough air volume to counter the heating energy coming through the car windows.
This product is a total scam. It is worthless with regard to the claim that it keeps a car's interior cool.

Hi, They are selling these rubbish Auto Coolers here in England, UK, now. We bought 20 - what a wasre of money. They are going to the Rubbish Tip. I have now seen that there ia a Guy on eBay UK who is selling then for 99pence each - that is about 1/2 a Dollar - 50 Cents each.
Just thought that you would like to know that the scam has spread across to the UK. Oh Well !! As they say - if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.

I ordered one of these. Waited a few weeks, nothing. Figured it was just gonna take a little longer. Then I received a notice from the bank that the auto cool place was trying to refund money into the account I used to order, which at this point had been closed. I did not cancel the order, they did. Of course the refund was only the price of the item, the shipping charges were not refunded. I could see not getting the shipping charges back if I had canceled, but they are the ones that canceled the order.

I fell for it also. I placed an order for the Autocool thru the website and never received the item. when i emailed them about where it was they replied back that they had no record of my order. i sent them another email with a scanned copy of my receipt that i had saved and printed. i still have heard nothing from them since and that was 8 months ago.

I bought one of these last summer. It was on clearance at a local store for $5. I figured, for that price, it would be worth trying during the unbearably hot Texas summer. I would have been better off wasting my $5 on lotto tickets. After using it a couple of times and not noticing any difference, I decided to test the product. One day 1 of my test, I parked my car in the parking lot at work with the windows barely cracked as I have always done in the past and left a thermometer on the floorboard out of the direct sun. At lunch, the temperature outside was 106. I got in the car and checked the temperature. It was 184!! So the following day, upon arriving at work, I parked in the EXACT same spot, placed the thermometer in the EXACT same position and installed the Auto Cool as instructed. By noon, the outside temperature was "only" 98. So, naturally, I expected the inside temperature of my car to be much cooler then the day before. Imaging my surprise when I saw that the inside temperature was 193. The temperature inside my car was 9 degrees HOTTER using this cheap piece of crap, on a day when the outside temperature was cooler!!! I tossed the thing into the back seat when I returned to work, not noticing that it was in direct sunlight. By the time I left work, the thing had melted onto my seat! Fortunately, I was able to get the plastic mess off of my car seat without ruing it. Don't waste your money on this!

My 83 year old neighbour saw the ad and asked me to help him order 10 of these. He intended to give them to friends. I talked him into only ordering 3. We did the order in July and ordered and paid for 3 with visa on line. It is now September 21st and we have never received a thing. He is very trusting and just can not figure out why we did not get them. This company is a scam. We could have donated this money to a charity and have felt good about it. Do not buy from them.

I am another victim that fell into scam. This an was just imply crap. It cam with a free organizer which, now I know why is free. I received it all torn up and mess up. I used the fan for a week, and no results. I thought i was making a mistake but the only mistake I made was purchasing such a item. Do not buy thsi product. save your money.

this product is a piece of crap. i bought one and left it in the sun for hours and nothing. At first i thought maybe i was doing something wrong but then soon realized that what was wrong was me purchasing the auto cool in the first place. Its only use right now is a paperweight.

I bought this product and, well, it sucks. It didn't make any change in the temperature of my car. The weather stripping is a hassle and the fan came on randomly and rarely. I live in FL, so yes it was out in the sun but it still rarely came on. It was a complete hassle and waste of money. DO NOT buy this product. It does NOT work.

I bought the Auto Cool the first week of June 2007. It didn't really cool my car all that much but I continued to use it until it literally started falling apart about 1 month ago (mid July). The thing cracked and came completely apart. I guess FL summers are too much for it. Of course there is only a 30 day money back guarantee. Thankfully I didn't pay much for it but I can guarantee you I will never buy any more of that junk they peddle on TV. This was my first and last time buying stuff like that.

The auto cool infomercial drew me in enough to purchase one of the auto cool's for my car. The infomercial states that the auto cool would cool my car by up to 30 or 40 degrees. The auto cool only cools my car up to three degrees! Getting a refund from the company is like pulling teeth.....

Saw this product in [], and since I live in the south, and it's August with 98-102 temps everyday, I figured I'd try this out. I have seen the ads on TV, and noticed that you have to have sealers on either side of the auto-cool, which I didn't like, but still spent $15 getting one. So I try it out in the car, sat in the sun for 3 hours, opened the door and whammmmm.. hit with an oven. The fan was turning, but barely enough. Sorry I bought the product now, this company should be sued for selling a fraudulent product, instead of this website, who is telling the truth!! To bad I didn't read reviews of the auto cool before I bought it.

I purchased it from [] - I used it for 1 week the heat in the car made the plastic melt and buckle - the screws that hold the 2 parts together we not long enought to prevent the plastic from buckling I notified [] and I got my money back

Take your $20, rip it up and flush it down the toilet. It will save you the time and effort it takes to order this junk. I resorted back to the good old fashioned way of just cracking the windows a little bit.

I bought this last summer, it didn't arrive until fall. Thanks! Anyway, I went to use it this SPRING, and I did actually notice a difference of a few degrees (I own a black car with leather interior in Las Vegas, so any temperature reduction is VERY welcome). However, after a few days, I noticed that it was sagging away from the window a little...The plastic was MELTING! Finally it melted enough that it just snapped off. Let me repeat that, a product made that "keeps your car cooler no matter how long it's left in the sun" (quoted from website) MELTED IN THE SUN! The website has no customer support contact, and the phone number for ordering doesn't even work.

Purchased 2 of these last summer and did not receive them until after the summer was over. (3 months later.) So, beginning this summer, I tried one of them and it did not work. No matter what I did, it would not work even with full sun beating down in our parking lot. Then tried the 2nd one and it does not work either and it broke immediately when I rolled up my electric windows in my car. I even tried laying the unit on my dash with the sun beating down in the front window and it didn't work. COMPLETE TRASH and waste of your money! Wish I had done a little more research before purchasing!

I bought my husband an Auto Cool system because his mail truck gets so hot during the day. Well he used it once, and reported it doesn't keep the vehicle cool. This was 2 weeks ago. Today he got it out of the back seat of his car and it was melted. Let me repeat that.....melted. Don't waste your money.
