There is nothing awesome about this product, which can hardly be called an auger!
I did receive all of the parts, however upon first use, the drill started smoking and then only worked intermittently. Upon continued attempts to use this tool, it stalled with frequency continued to exude a burning smell.
At that point, I discontinued using it.
Do Not Buy This SCAM Product!!!!

I have previously written my story relative to the Awesome Auger(AA)
scam where my cost came to $76.80 and had not yet opened the shipment box. After opening the box and seeing the bill it was obvious what occured. The ad cost of the AA was shown as $19.95 but, after adding the cost of each item shipped I found it was exactly the sum paid for shipping and handling - $56.85 which means the cost of the items were the sales price and the 19.95 was the actual S&H charge. Yes, this is false advertizing and should be a criminal offense that is prosecuted by the law for fraud.

I thought I would order the Awesome Auger for my mother. She had mentioned she would like to have one to use in her garden. I went online rather than calling. That was a mistake. They take your credit card number and information before you have said yes or no to all of the so called free items. Oh yes, everything that they said was free, was free. But I can buy a drill locally cheaper than I could pay the freight (39.95) for one drill. I decided that I did not want to order and tried to get out, I couldn't. So guess what I ordered the Awesome Auger even though I didn't want it. I couldn't get out of the website, I couldn't go back. So I just closed it and I got a message thanking me for my order. So then I get my email confirming my order and it states it could be several days before customer service records to be updated with your order. I called two days later to cancel and it had already gone to the warehouse and they could not cancel it. Do not order, this is a scam.

My father-in-law ordered the Awesome auger from the tv and received 2 augers(1-3inch 1-4inch) and nothing else. When I called to ask where the extention piece and the free drill was, I was told that it would cost me more shipping and handling to get them. This is after he paid almost $14.00 for shipping and handling in the first place. I talked to a supervisor and stated that they were ripping people off from their ads. I also stated that I was going to notify my states attorney general about them. I think that each person that has gotten ripped off from this Not so Awesome company should notify their states attorney general's office and lets try and put this company out of business. I had also told the supervisor that the best form of advertising is word of mouth and told them I would email everyone I know and tell them what happened as well and for them to pass it on as well. Please let eveyone you know that this is a BIG SCAM!!

I ordered this product from tv ad 7/2008. I rec'd 3 size augers and 1 (18" extender), which I still have to bend over to use because it isn't long enough & I have back problems. Plus, on tv it says that you get all 6 pieces (3 augers; 1 extender; 1 pin; 1 power drill for $19.95 plus S/H $8.95, but when you receive invoice they have charged you s/h for each piece. This ad is a fraud ad and should be taken off tv. They are still advertising on tv. The product is of no use to me because you can't send it back because you have to pay double to send it back (have to be insured for tracking). I am disappointed and upset upon receiving this product and now it just sits in the corner. When I inquired about the drill, which they said was also free, they said I'd have to pay $40.00 plus s/h for the drill. The are the biggest liars I've seen advertised on tv. I never have problems ordering from tv & this is the first one I've encountered. They should be sued and there should be a class action complaint filed against them with so many complaints filed against them as being SCAM because that's exactly what they are. I have several e-mail addresses, so this one should come up as verifiable. If not, this is still my complaint and I'm sticking to it.

I ordered two of the awesome augers with the bonus free drill. My credit card was charged approx. $70. When pkg arrived, I had two boxes with four auger pieces just about 14" w/auger at bottom. I immediately called to say I should have had the two drills, as well as a handle for each set. I was told I needed to pay approx. $40 for each set in order to receive all the pieces. I was told I could return it for a partial credit within 30 days. In that timeframe, my husband suffered a stroke and lost his sight in one eye permanently, overnight. We have been in and out of hospitals and have been with six specialists to determine what type of surgery he will have to undergo. He has had two laser treatments to eliminate the function of the growing blood vessels, which if left untreated, will grow and explode, yes the eye could explode. With this problem to deal with I forgot to send the package back within the 30 days. I cannot imagine them charging me $70 when the price was $19.95 each, but with shipping and handling, the charge to my credit card brought it to $70 and I would have had to pay additional monies to get what I thought I had already paid for. Bills Mays is a con man of the first water and I knew better than to deal with him. I am going to report him to the North Carolina Attorney General's office and to the national BBB. I really need that $70 credited back to my account, but from what I have read of other people who got sucked into his trap, Billy gets to keep the money and sent only part of the device one thought they were buying. We are on social security, have no savings and only Medicare. Money is in short demand and I hate that this criminal has ripped us off. I will try to contact them by mail, but feel it would be worthless to proceed. I would like my money back however.

My husband called and after hearing everything on the phone wished to cancel everything but they didn't give him a chance to do that. He received 2 of everything to the cost of 233.00 dollars. When I called to return they told me I wouldn't get back the 112.00 shipping and handling. We'll just have to see about that.

Called the phone number on the infommercial and it wasn't a simple process!! Expected to give a CC no., name, address, etc., but instead one has to listen to at least 5 minutes of additional sell. Finally hung up after giving the info. thinking I ordered the 4 items: 2 augers, extender, power tool (electric only). Received the box only to find two augers! Total $29.90 ($19.95 + $$8.95 S&H)!! THEN I saw the small print on the TV ad!! Why bother sending it back!!! Never again will I listen to Billy Mays...he should be ashamed!!

My husband says it somewhat works, depends on where you live dirt wise clay & etc, but I'm complaining about the charges. The ad states 19.95 for the set, plus shiping, but when you get it, it boils down to 7.95 PER ITEM to ship, pushing 60.00 bucks for the grill, extender, weed aug, & dig aug. 30 day guarantee means nothing, because they are only going to give you credit 19.95 for the set & you have to pay shipping to return it. IT IS A TOTAL RIP OFF. There should be a law of some sort to monitor these adds. The next time I order anything,(never again from Billy Mays)I'm going on line to see if anyone registered any complaints.

The product is a complete rip off and their practices down right illegal. During the order process they never provide a final cost or confirmation number. The finally charged us over $40.00 for a product that was $19.95. They include sub standard drills and attachments so they can charge for additional shipping and handling and consumers have no way of opting out. Their return policy indicates that they will only refund the purchase price but not the shipping & handling. The consumer is responsible for the return shipment cost.
Simple math: We paid over $60.00 for a sub standard product that they sell for $19.95. If we return the product we lose $40.00 immediately. Then we have to pay for shipping the equipment back (heavy drill and bits) to the distributor which will cost about $20.00 (not counting the time that you have to spend). At the end we have spent over $60.00, have no merchandise and the product is back in manufacturer’s hand (so they can sell it again). A complete scam !!!
The distributor and scammer is:
SAS Group, Inc.
35 Wisconsin Avenue (Thill & Company) Distribution Company
Oshkosh, WI 54901
I have already filed a complaint with BBB [] without any luck. If everyone files complaints, they may listen.

This is a filthy degenerate company that somehow obtains your credit card number then sends items you did not order and adds the outrageous S&H price of $17.90.
They also pump the order by adding more items than you could possibly ever use. Unless you own a landscaping business, who in the hell needs 4 augers?
Additionally, this so called deal is no such thing, just google auger and you will find several of better quality for far less. I found a three bladed one for $8.99.
They claim that when you call from your house their system records your phone number and keeps a record. Now of course I have to pay to send it back to them and not just plain postage either as I will need proof of delivery.
These pigs might have made some profit on the S&H and it may cost me some money to send it back, but if they lose even one customer from this and other posts I'll feel happy.

Awsome I ordered the awsome Auger and upon receiving it found the Green light indicator on the charge stand of the cordless hand drill was not working so I wasn't able to know when or if the battery pack to the drill was working. I would like to add that they didn't deliver the shipment when promised. When I contacted the company they wanted me to return the entire drill for quality control purposes. I told them
Them that I had already paid $66.75 for postage and handling and that I wasn't going to pay anymore postage and handling to return the entire drill unit. They refused to pay the return postage and said the only thing they could do was credit my account with firtst $5., than $10., than finally $15. I told them it wasn't enough considering the inconvenience it has caused. Whe we recieved the Awsome Auger shipment we noticed there was no return address on the packing list. Which I thought was strange as whenever I have received shipments from legitamate businessed they always have this information available on their shipping or packing slips. The Aweome Auger company appears to be a total scam. Buyers beaware. Check out the company before buying. I know I have learned a valuable lesson.

$19.95, PLUS S&P, for what you get is a complete rip off! To get the FREE Bonus offer, and don't tell me about any fine print, because there is none on the website. I placed my order, and when I hit the Order button, there were no other links or prompts. Over $48.00 AFTER the $19.95 (total $28.90) you get all that was advertised. To say this is deceptive would be an understatement of monumental proportions. This stupid thing better work REALLY well, for all you end up paying for the hunk of steel and a cheap drill ($39.00 S&P!). I could gone to []t and done better than that offer! BEWARE!!! What happened to truth in advertising?! Why doesn't the Wisconsin Attorney General look into this scam?

I also purchased this Great Product when I received the box I only received two augers and a drill. I'm still trying to get a hold of customer service. I guess when we hear an automated operator we should hang up. The $19.95 plus $8.95 turned into $48.85. What a rip off!

On 10/4/08, I accessed the Internet to order this product. I selected the auger, cordless drill and extension. The order was finalized and never indicated the final price. I never received the email confirmation. A charge of $76.80 showed up on my VISA account 10/14/08. I tried to call the customer service number today (Saturday) but the prompts would only provide another toll-free number to call M-F. I've sent an email today to cancel the order before it is shipped (4-6 wks per the telephone prompts). I'm trying to be optimistic that my cancellation request will be honored without a hassle. I'll make another post when I receive a response.

I went to the web site that was selling this product to get information only. I wanted to find out what the actual final cost of the offer would be. The only way to do that is to click on order on the web site. But when you do that, you are actually authorizing the purchase. I did not want the product. I only wanted to find out how much it would cost if I did order it. Several days later (today), I saw the transaction confirmed on my bank account. I called the company and explained that I was just browsing, and did not want to purchase the item. They told me that they already shipped the item today and that I can call back after I receive it to get a return claim number. They further explained that I can return it for a refund of the price of the item, but not for the shipping fee, which was as much as the item!
The way the web site is set up is deceiving. The only way to find out the cost is to un-knowingly finalize a sale.

the product advertised on the infomercial is fraudulent and so misleading that i was caught just like the others. there is no customer service and nothing advertised is delivered except two pieces of crap called augers and a Chinese electric drill. how do tv stations allow these things to happen? if it sounds too good to be true, forget it. i will not order anything from these promotions ever again, and i would like all of my money back included shipping!

I think all of the people must be retarded on here. Only an insane person would think you are getting all of this stuff for just $19.99.
I just ordered it and it clearly tells you as you order what you get and how much the shipping is. As for the people who said they got a cord drill and not a cordless, it shows you the picture of the drill with the cord on it as you order.
If you want the cordless drill it asks you after you say no to the cheaper corded drill.
You can't possibly think you are getting these items for free. It was easy to see the shipping and processing fees on every product the website offered. Welcome to As Seen On TV. Read before you buy!
