I ordered this awesome auger and was suppose get a bonus extension, auger and drill. What I got was 2 augers,no exstension,no drill and no additional auger. So scam and rip off

I also was stuck in the endless telephone loop while trying to order. I could not understand whether they wanted me to order more drills or just pay for S&H which I did not understand from thie ad. I eventually hung up thinking that would be the end of it, but about three weeks later the augers came, $52.00 for two sets. What a rip, only about $12.00 worth of product here. When I finally got thru to a customer service rep, he explained I had misunderstood and if I wanted the drills to go with them, it would cost another $52.00. I declined. I got a return authorization but after thinking about it for a while, I decided not to send them back since I would probably not get my money back and I can always use a different drill. They make a half decent paint mixer by the way.

My husband called to order this but was taken back when they tried to sell him more upgrades and products. He tried to cancel his order but two weeks later, it the box came and we were charged around $40 on our card fr the two smaller augers and the drill. I was looking for the phone number to order a new cord for the drill. At my first time using it, the product worked great! It gets right through our Indiana clay! However, you have to be real careful. The tool spins so fast that it is easy for the drill cord to get wrapped around inside the indent by the tip. Well thats what happened to me so, by the responses here, I apparently will not try to get thru to these people.

I trusted Billy Mays, Everything else he Endorses is great. Shame on you Billy, Quit Endorsing this product !! I filed a Fraud complaint with my Visa card. If everyone that used a credit card like I did, All you have to do is call your Credit Card company and tell them you would like to file a Fraud case, They take it very seriously !! I'm more disappointed with Billy Mays than I am the Awesome Auger, I thought Billy wasn't a "Sell Out" ??

Well, I got taken like the rest of you with Shipping and handling of $$28.90. I did get through to Customer Service and when I complained about not having received the extension I was told it would cost another $7.95 S & H. I told her to forget it, that I was sending it back and would expect my money back. I intend to notify the Better Business Bureau in both Wisconsin and in Tarrytown, NY. And like the lady in Texas I will write the Texas Attorney General's office. Let's shut them down.

I placed my order online 05.22.08. I have been waiting for the order and I still have not received the product. For a while now I've been trying to get my money back. I decided on cancelling the order and I got the run around. Another company answered my reply to the original email I received when I placed the order. They gave a number to call for customer service. I called it and it was the number from the website that does not even give you an option to talk to someone in customer service. I have tried and tried to contact anyone someone from the company with no luck. I finally got tired of it and I goolged if anyone has experienced this too and apparently this company is taking a lot of people for a ride. All I want is my money back but I guess they don't honor the business law practices we all abide by in America. We need to do something about this company soon I will contact the Attorney Genral's Office here in Texas and also provide them with a link to this site. If they don't want to give me my money back then I will proceed to give them what they deserve. Shut them down!

I got on line to see about the auger - filled in my info and then learned how much they would charge for the "free" items - backed out of the website and thought I had cancelled. I never got an email thanking me for my order (which others said they got) but my so-called order came in Saturday - which I did not order. I have been on the phone waiting for over 30 mins. with their customer service and nobody answered. I am sending this back to the company for a hoped-for refund and alerting my credit card people about this scam.

Ordered two Augers 6 weeks ago, paid by credit card, never recived product. Called customer service, was automated answer, and was hung up on. I am really pissed. Dont know how to go about recovering the money. Help!!!!

I wish I would have read these blogs before I went online to order this. I also began the order by entering my credit card info because, at the time, I was planning to try it. However, after getting to the next pages and seeing the outrageous shipping charges on the extras, I closed out and thought it would terminate the order since I did not confirm the order or receive any emails confirming the order like any other ethical web store would do. Next thing I knew, it arrived at my door. Called customer service and they just held to, "Well, it shows you did order it". I argued to no avail that I never completed the order or received any confirmation emails. She just said my only option was to send it back at my expense. Credit card company says they cannot fight shipping charges and since they are willing to allow me to return it, they cannot intervene since you have to return the item first before they will fight for you. Biggest rip off website I've encountered. Lesson learned. NEVER give your credit card info unless you are ready to buy.

Of course, like everyone else, I saw the ad on TV, and wanted one of these amazing deal. The ad says shipping is $8.95, but when I received the product and the bill, the shipping charge became $28.90 for one auger and the free drill. It's false advertising!! I am not going to pay for the full shipping fee. I have tried calling the customer service number as soon as I received the product but was put on hold forever without any assistance. Obviously they are too busy handling all the complaints.

I ordered the Awesome Auger online, for those few of you defending it, most of us were scammed. I read where s&h would be more for additional items. BUT I only wanted the set for $19.95 and the 8.98 s&h. I received an email stating I was being charged for items I did NOT order, this was about 4 weeks ago. I attempted every day by phone and emails, could not get contact at all, nor any responses to emails. called bank and credit card to cancel. I could not cancel or dispute it until it appeared on my account. it showed up yesterday, it's in dispute. Today I recieved the Auger in the mail, I do not know what to do with it, I do not want to spend the money to send it back myself. I was not here when it arrived so I could not refuse it at the time. now what do i do? yes i am filing complaints with bbb and such.

6/14/2008 - Joyce writes:
After entering my order online, I encountered confusing questions regarding did I want additional sets, etc. I sent an email asking for clarification; did not receive a response. I closed the website and thought I didn't finish the order (though I had gone as far as entering my credit card info). Today I received the auger - np drill or extension as advertised. I will be returning it and contacting my credit card company.

6/13/2008 - Frederick writes:
The total bill for this $19.95 "special" came to $61.75. What an unbelievable rip-off! $10.00 for shipping might be in the category of "reasonable"; ut $41.0 for shipping and handling? Outrageous!

6/13/2008 - John writes:
I avoided the upsell by ordering online. I tested it when I first got it and was impressed, but when I actually got into the job of planting it immediately failed. The edge apparently dulled and it simply sat there spinning and going nowhere. This product is a fraud in its own right, quite aside from the shady marketing.

6/13/2008 - Art writes:
Today I received my shipment which was to be for one auger and the dril for an advertised TV special of 19.95 and 8.95 ground shipping. The bill in the package was for 2 augers, the 2nd ( not ordered) for 14.95 and P &H for a whopping 57.85, making the total to come to 92.75. The number to call goes just like the recording into a loop and you are asked to call the original number you called. If you hold on longer it will tell you the hours they are open to answer, but immediately you are told that all agents are busy and you are given a e-mail address to respond. I did and tried to the phone 6 more times and each time the same routine with a disconnect. This is a rip off and I hope that this Billy guy reads this because I will never buy from his commercials. I hope that by now he will be on the unemployment list. This is the 2nd time I got taken for an internet scam. I should have googled the name before I answered the ad because the automatic phone ordering proces was already a scam, but by then hey had all my info.

6/13/2008 - John writes:
and two augers was $19.95, postage and handling charges of $48.90 were added, bringing the total to $68.85. This organization is nothing more than a complete rip off!

$48.85 and all I have is heartburn. I can confirm all the previous comments and truly believe this is a scam. I started to order the Auger and Drill with the weed eater and after giving the automated program my credit card number I realized that I did not want to continue with the order. The only option to cancel the order ( I thought ) was to hang up but that proved wrong. There is no way to cancel the order after you enter your Credit Card number. Two to three weeks later a charge appeared on my Credit Card statement which I immediately protested the charge to Discover Card advising them I felt that I had been caught in a fraud. I wrongly assumed that I could cancel the transaction and refuse the delivery if it ever came. I was wrong again. Discover Card say that they are investigating the company but they would not cancel the transaction. When I tried to reverse the transaction with Awesome Auger ( I swear that I heard laughter ) they advised me that since I had not received their permission and given a routing number that they would not refund my transaction. Bottom line No Auger and $48.85 worth of heartburn.

We have not tried it because the purchased items needed to use it did not come with it. It is a total scam. We will never again order anything we see on an infomercial or advertised by BILLY MAYS. Scams like this kill good products and companies from getting inovative and helpful inventions to interested buyers.
