I ordered this product which was supposed to come with 2 augers, a weeder, an extension piece and a drill. All I received were 2 steel augers. How I was supposed to use this without the drill was a mystery to me. When I called their customer service number (4 times) I was put on hold for 15 to 20 min and was then told to go online as their reps were busy for info on how to return mdse. There was no info on the website that told you were to reurn mdse. I called my credit card company and issued a complaint. I am now going to return mdse to the address that's on the box and see if they will credit my account.

We recieved the awesome auger today June 12, 2008 it was recieved in one box, we were charged 113.70 dollars for handling and postage, I was livid, called the company and they would not listen to me. I ordered 2 awesome augers but only 1 drill and 1 set of the extender lock and weed auger. They sent 2 of everything, I can't prove it because I had to order it over the phone.I have disputed it with my credit card company.

I ordered the product through their 800 # from their TV commercial. Billy Mays has been around for a long time and although I find his 'in your face objectionable' he does know what he's doing. However, after my order was placed by voice ("Yes' or 'No', or how many, etc.) and they had my cc info it was almost impossible to get off the phone because there was always one more offer, and another and another so all I could do was hang up. I never did receive an e mail receipt (first product ordered in the last 11 years that I have not received a receipt) so I have no idea how much I was charged. I have never had any acknowledgment from them at all. I've looked for phone numbers to call but they all seem to be that same obnoxious auto-phone system. Very disappointed in Billy Mays - he either got sold a bill of goods or he's using his 'good' name to sell us one.

I ordered 1 auger set and I was sent 2. The P&H came to a whopping $33.80. When I called customer service, "Jenny" stated they entered 2 in the order system and nothing can be done to change it. She stated I could return the 2nd auger but I had to pay shipping. Part of their scam is that you receive a "thank you" email notification and it does not contain a hard copy of the order. I was verbally told the shipping would be 7.95.

Total scam. Requires you to enter your CC info before you can find out what the total charges are, and if you decide not to buy when you find out what robbery their S&H charges are, they charge you anyway. Contrary to what the 3 or 4 'defenders' here say, there is NO WAY to know what the S&H charges are for the 'free bonuses' until AFTER you get past the first page (by which time they've already charged you). I have filed complaints with my CC company, the FTC, the BBB and anyone else I can think of. Stay away from this fraudulent company and their deceptive sales tactics. Contact the FTC and BBB if they've screwed you like this.

I attempted to order the auger today, and there was some problem with the credit card. So I then decided to google the company, and hit "I'm feeling lucky". The infomercialscams website popped up, and was I glad! Only wish I had checked you first. Anyway, I called my credit card company ASAP. The charge had not showed up yet. They advised me to change my card number, to avoid the great complications of having the charge show up and then trying to remove it. Again, I'm thankful for all the comments on this site and I'll check beforehand next time!

I was curious...You know what that did to the "cat" !! So, My wife really wanted one for the yard,as seen on T.V.,and it is hyped to the max...! The thing is, I can buy the base product at the local "RX" store for $19.95... I was ripped off when I looked into the deal on line at "buytheauger.com" and you must enter all of the ifo requested as if you are ordering to be able to see the next page of the offer. As soon as you do it places the order ,like it or not. I wasn't aware that I had ordered because I did not confirm it. I cliked off since I was not interested. Today I recieved it and I called customer service. Amber was very nice and told me that the web site is seperate from her company. She explained that the order is sent through as soon as you enter all the info and credit card and it is set up that way. A real "GOTCHA"! Now I am stuck. It is $28.90, and if I return it I lose out on the $8.95 shipping fee. What a SCAM !

I had the same problem as some of the other customers. I still haven't received it and the money was taken out of my account in May. No Auger yet. Their ordering process is also a scam. The shipping cost the same as the product. They ended up taking out 49.95 from my account.

Unfortunately,I,like others couldn't find the shipping charges until it was too late. It cost more to ship than the junk cost. The whole ordering process seemed like a scam to me, but, I kept hoping it would be worth it. NOT. I was digging just plain dirt, no rocks, no roots and the welding broke on the ground piece and now I have an over-priced piece of trash. No one answers the phone when you call with a complaint. Someone tell me what to do and I will. Does anyone know if the better business bureau will help us?

I went online to purchase the awesome auger and unfortunately it asks for all your credit card information just before it proceeds on with the SCAM. So I went ahead and gave them my credit card, shipping information and followed their stupid step-by-step ordering process. As I passed step four, which was to get the cordless drill instead of the corded drill, my order price had sky rocked over $60. I then closed the site window, because I did not want to confirm the order. And the next thing I see on my bank statement in 3 days was the awesome auger, charging $28.90. I then tried to call their customer service number and no one answers. The bastards know they are scamming people, so they stopped answering their phone.

I have received this product , and during the order placing process, I was not told of shipping costs. I got the bill it was $77.50 shipping cost for a box 12 by 12 by 12. I called several times, got the CS service person who said she would have a supervisor call me when I was demanding to get a reduction of this shipping cost. No call was returned for weeks. They finally called over this weekend on my work phone, and now I can't get through to the phone left. Then I asked via email no return of the email complaint at all. I wanted a preaid shipping label to return this and get my CC credited. No responses, this has been over 60 days now and I haven't even opened the box because I don't want to the item because the service is so bad. I will never buy anything on the TV again. At least QVC will accommodate the customer, this company is a shameful example of TV selling.

I started to order the product on the internet but stopped and got out without confirming, and yet the order went through. Unfortunately, they had my charge card #. I stopped because I saw conflicting ads about what one gets with the product. The power extender "thing" was unclear in the ad. I also wondered what the shipping cost would be because of the weight. Well, the rip-off arrived at my door today, and I thought I had effectively canceled the order by not confirming. Well, they charged $28.90 for shipping for a so-called $19.95 product. Included are WEED AUG & POWER EXTENDER INSTRUCTIONS, but there extension or lock pin. The statement says to call Customer Service Monday - Friday 8am-5pm. This is Saturday, and I doubt that I will ever be able to talk to a human being; and it won't be worth returning because the shipping would be high. This Company and Willie Mays should be sued for false and confusing advertising and not permitting people to be able to resolve complaints.

I cancelled my order as soon as I saw the exorbitant shipping charges on the order confirmation. They sent it anyway. Once received I returned it to them and they have not acknowledged my request to refund my money. They do not answer their phones nor do they respond to written communications.

I ordered the product from a tv. commercial that I saw. I was reassured before I hung up that I would receive the 3 & 4 inch auger with the FREE CORDLESS DRILL. On May 7, 2008...$28.90 was debited from my bank acct. I just called their cust. svc. to find out why I have not recv'd. the product. I was told that it shipped on June 2, 2008. I asked what was shipped & I was told..."a 3" & 4 " auger." I said..."what about the free cordless drill ?" She told me that I hadn't pd. S & H chgs. & that's why the drill wasn't shipped. I asked for the C.E.O. of their company & contact numbers...her response was..."we are a THIRD party for the company & we do not have their contact information." I told her that I was looking @ the 366 complaints online against their company & if I didn't get DIRECT contact info. that I would be fwdg. all 366 complaints along with mine to our Attorney Generals' Office. She then put me on hold & a voice mail came on telling me to leave my name & number, which I did. If all of you who have filed a complaint will fwd. it to your local Attorney Generals' Office, they WILL assist you. I'm also filing a complaint with the BBB & I'm also contacting our cable company to let them know they are providing advertisement which is fraudelent. I tried again just now to call customer service & I spoke with a girl named Heather. I told her about my previous call & that I want contact info. now. She told me the same thing about being a third party promoter. I asked the name of her company & she WOULD NOT give it to me. I asked again & she disconnected my call. For all of us who have been SCAMMED by this company, please contact your Attorney Generals' Office, the BBB, & ALL news media in your area. The only way we can expose them is to.... EXPOSE THEM !!!

I have not recieved the drill the power extender or the weedout yet as seems to be many of the others complaints. The person on the phone that I ordered with assured me that I would not get the cordless drill, but an electric drill and that I would get the weedout and extender. To get the corless 18 volt drill she said was $50 shipping extra. and I said the electric drill would be fine with me.

I was going to buy the awesome auger until I read the complaints listed here. Thank you for letting me know. To all the people who cannot get your money back...if you used a debit card, call your bank and they will get it back for you. I had something happen with my debit card and I just called my bank and they got the money back for me. And in less than a month as well. Your bank can really help if you have a debit card. That is why that is all I will use online. Good luck. Barbaraanne
