I ordered the Awesome Auger over the Internet. Upon completion the request and clicking the "ORDER NOW" button I notice that the company or whoever sells the product over Internet did not provide me the comformation nor any kind of Service Request number for the future refernces. So I get puzzled and tried to find some info about this Awesome Auger business. I found that hundreds of buyers are very unhappy with the way of how Awesome Auger Co. handles their order. I did not receive the product yet, but the very first step to get a comformation and call back number was completely missmanaged just right from the beginning. Subsequently, I did not expect anything good happening in my futher dealing with this company. So, beware.

My story is pretty much like everyone else. I ordered one thinking it would be a good thing. I have lupus and rhematoid arthritisis. I need two knee replacements. However, I could of bought the same thing at Home Depot. The drill is a joke. I thought I would get the green one they advertised. I never dreamed it would cost me $61.80 for shipping and handling. Insane! Rip off call it what you want. They should be ashamed of themselves. S&H is not returned unless is is unopened. Then you get your money back. I guess I am glad I got what I ordered. Thank God for small favors huh. Let me know if any of you have any luck stopping their scam. The bank said I authorized the transaction but I authorized The cost and $9.95 s&H not $61.80. My total charge is 81.75 for $20.00 worthof stuff. Amzing they are getting away with it daily.. The funny part is everyone is being charged a different rate. How do they do that? Scam busters are needed here for real!

My story is same as the other 16 web site complaint pages. I want to advise all to be sure to file a complaint with the Better Bureau Bureau (BBB.org) to have this company's practices stopped. I have to assume they are making money by people who don't return the products for refunds. I too will never purchase anything sold by Billy Mays after this fiasco. If he would be associated with this company so much for his career. Call your credit card company to dispute the payment and file a complaint also with them. Otherwise, these type companies win.

When I ordered this product;drill, extender weed whacker, a total 5 item, I was told that it was $19.95 plus $9.95 Shipping and handling. When the product arrived, I was charged $76.00, and only received 2 rods and a drill. I called them and they were very rude and that I could return their product and I had to pay the return postage. I will get only $19.95 refund because shipping and handling is non-refundable, shipping was $56.00. I told them that I will contact my credit card company not to pay. The person on the phone said indignantly, "they have already collected the money and there is nothing I could do to get my money back." This company is one of biggest scams I have ever encountered. I hope Better Business or some other federal or state agencies can persecute them.

I am a victim as well. Well, Billy Mays I hope you are happy. I suffer from Lupus and when I saw this tool I thought how wonderful it would be to have something so easy to use so I could still enjoy being outside. WRONG!!!! My goodness I feel I should be happy that I was only charged $41.75 for s&h. My total bill was almost $62.00 and to return it for the $19.95 wouldn't be worth the cost. I would have to think the Attorney General or BBB could do something. Somewhere, somehow, someone should be able to do something about this.

When I ordered the awesome auger I was told that the shipping was $8, and the price was $19.95 which included the drill(for free), two auger heads and an extenstion rod. What I got was 2 auger heads for $19.95 a crummy drill (free) no extension rod. You would have to be on your knees to work this thing. But the kicker was that they charged $28.90 for shipping! I called American Express and immediately stopped the charge. I tried to call but they don't answer the phone.

Same as everyone else. I received an extra awesome auger which I didnt order. I had shipping charges of $113.70. I've called everyday for a month and emailed but got no answer. I also didn't get everything I ordered. I've disputed with my cc company, the BBB of Wisconsin and the Internet Crime Commission. If anyone else knows how to get their money back please let me know. Good Luck!

I ordered AWESOME Auger online, figured not much to lose (did not want drill), filled in order blanks, only to be charged $106.65, FOR THREE(3)AUGERS, ONE DRILL!!! This includes $46.00 shipping & processing. I called Immediately to correct the mistake, only to be told by(a real person)! That I had wait 48 hours for my order to reach their system. Now three days later their system says all operators are busy, and ends the call. I am still persuing correcting the order, I have ordered from ASseenONTV before, they are good people. Their other pages always allow you to confirm order before processing it. However I suggest you be careful of AWESOME AUGER!!!

jUST RECEIVED MY ORDER TODAY, 5/16; I ORDERED THE "AUGER" ON APRIL 29. ALL I RECEIVED WERE A 3" AND A 4" AUGER. NOTHING ELSE. IF YOU CALL THEY TELL YOU TO "CALL BACK LATER". THIS IS THE BIGGEST SCAM EVER. SHAME ON MAYS. PEGGY

My story reads like everyone else. I did'nt get a drill or extender or lock key. I have tried to call customer service and email the company without luck. I wish that I have read customers complaints before I ordered the product. Never again!! I was charged a total of 52.80 for two pieces of steel. I don't understand how they are allowed to lie outright to customers. Never again will I order anything from Billy(liar) Mays.

Same problems as everyone else. What EVERYONE needs to do is CONTACT YOUR STATE'S ATTORNEY GENERAL OFFICE. This is the quickest way to shut down a scam and they generally don't take these things lightly! You can also contact your credit card company to file a dispute & you'll get your money back.

5/16/2008 - Eli writes:
After I ordered the product, I tried to call to verify the order. I realized that I can not get the info, no one answers ever, so I send an email to cancel and called the credit card compant to stop payment. The infomercial keeps saying "only shipping and handling" the forget to tell us MUlTIPLE shipping and handling and twice the amount it should be.

My story is pretty much the same as everyone elses :unworkable tool with missing parts, and the shipping of $49 on a $19 product. I hope Billy Mayes spends the money he defrauded people out off on his legal fees.

I received 2 metal drill-looking objects, which I have come to the conclusion that they are the Auger and the ground dog. My order was to include the extender also. I am unable to use either of these blades because they donot fit into my drills. It also seems that a clip/pin is missing also. This advertisement appears false because it did not deliver as promised, the phone number for ordering is problematic for complaints, and there is NO return address.

5/15/2008 - Warren writes:
Placed the order for the advertised kit which was to include the two augers, a cordless drill, auger extender, weed auger. The website advertisement shows everything with an accentuated price quote of $19.95 plus $8.95 S&H which appears to be the special price. Got only the two basic augers. When didn't get the rest of the package, called twice. Second time got rep, who said that if I wanted the cordless drill, I would have to pay an additional $39.95 for S&H and if I wanted the extender and weed remover, an additional $7.95 for S&H. This a rip off, obviously, as the drill could probably be bought for the S&H cost. Haven't tried the augers yet, but do not expect much.

5/15/2008 - Gill writes:
I placed an order for the Auger and all I have recieved is two metallic products with a swivel type blade. There is no drill or extension or anything else that was advertised on the TV commercial. The customer service line hangs up on you. This is a total scam. This should not be happening on national TV

5/15/2008 - Joe writes:
Wow! Something told me to look up complaints against this product first. I received four augers, nothing else, except of course a bill for $57.80. I guess I fell for the apparent sincerity of the fellow pushing the Awesome Auger. I've always been very careful about not getting taken by scams, it's never happened before, but, like they say, there's a first time for everything. Like everyone else, I tried the "customer service" number and wait and then get hung up on. I reported this to my local television station. Let's see if they can get anywhere that I can't.

I, too, am a victim of the Awesome Auger TV scam. I was shocked to open the package and see the packing slip indicating that$113.60 was charged to my charge account. This packing list indicates a postage & handling charge of $73.70 which is twice the cost of the item. I only wanted one auger at $19.95 plus $8.95 s/h as advertised. The order is taken by phone by an automated recording so it is impossible to question any additional charges. All attempts to contact Awesome Auger were impossible as they will never put you thru to a customer service representative. I also tried to contact their billing department in N.Y. at 920-966-6600 and the same no response available. This is a total consumer fraudulent scam and I certainly hope that something can be done to protect the consumer from such fraud. I have contacted both my credit card company and the Consumer Protection Agency in my locale. Hopefully there will be resolution. +60

I called the number on the ad and then a recording came on and said I had to order 3 of the augers. I did so and then they wanted me to get a bigger drill and I said no. The order came today and I got 3 of the augers and 3 plug in drills, but no extentions so I won't have to been over. It tells me I have to have a slide in clip for the extenders, but no clip and no extenders. I was charged more than what the ad stated. $146.55 on my card. I say to billy, go to hell when I see your face on an ad. I will never buy from you ever again.
