I wish I had researched this product before I ordered it. I purchased this auger in 04/08 and all I received was 2 extenders for 57.80. they will not answer the telephone, all you get is a recording telling you to call back. I want to sue Billy Mays. I don't know how he keeps a job. I will never order anything else I see that fool advertise.

I hae tried to call customer service for two days and cannot get through. I believe there is no customer serice. I tried to cancel the order and when I recieved it I did not receive the free extension. Ohh well! I will not recommend Billy Mays again.

The website is very in-your-face and confusing and my $19.95 purchase worked out to nearly $50.00 in shipping and handling. Plus when I got it, the extender and secure clip were missing...so now what?

I received my Auger order April 28,08.It was ordered April 6th. My order was for 2 Auger sets and shipping & handling, of course not telling what that amount would be. My bill was 49.90 and the shipping & handling was $83.60. I weighed th box and it weighed 14#'s. I talked to UPS and this cost would be $16. a representative it immediately tells you all linew are busy and you know this is a recording and never lets you through.

I ordered the auger only, which was supposed to be $19.95 plus shipping and handling. I received a drill along with the auger. When I received the Visa statement, I was charged $56.80. I believe $36.81 for shipping and handling is excessive. The phone number provided gets you nowhere. I've called repeatedly and the recording says they are helping other customers and to try again later. If this were a genuine customer service number, I think you would be put on hold until a representative was available, so I think the phone line is bogus, also. Is this website a joke?

On 4-16-08 I placed an order for the awsome auger. According to the ad the cost would be $19.95 + 8.95 foe shipping. When the order was finished my shipping cost was $65.80. Also there were two charges for the item. As soon as I received the confirmation for my order and saw the cost of shipping I replied that I wanted the order cancled. I also tried to contact them by phone and an email address which they supplied on the recorded message. The email was senr back. I then sent a letter to the address on the contact us promt. I have had no reply

I realised during my call to their "pc voice" operator, that this was their way of first getting all your info, including bank card, before the "voice" continued to sell you stuff + a very quick addition of "plus shipping & handling fee" - so they have very cleverly designed their order system "Just to get your money" - I tried everywhich way to cancel the order a. telephonically - no chance, then to the email they give on their website namely, auger@custserv.com - this comes back as "undeliverable" - then I wrote them a certified letter cancelling everything and warning them not to charge my card - this was posted to the address they give in NY (Tarrytown NY) and sent it certified on 04/22/08 a day after being "thanked by their "voice" for my order. I now see they have billed my card for $28.90 and I called their Wisconsin phone number - took about 30 minutes before I received an answer - the lady told me that their NY address had nothing to do with their [] office & the order had been shipped on 04/24/08 - still nothing received by the way Billy May(be)s should be ashamed of his participation in these "non too truthful" ads he puts out - he is disgusting - but then why should he have any morals when he is being paid so well - rather become a politician Billy - at least some may understand your methods Thisc whole deal sucks & I am going to get every forum open , including going for the TV stations who feed their pockets by allowing such rubbish talk _ JUST for Money Is there no ethic left?

The shipping & handling charges are outrageous. The customer service is horrible. When ordering the product on-line it doesn't give you the final price until after you submit the order. I was charged $65 for shipping & handling on a $34 purchase. I immediately called but the rep said the order was not in the system so I had to call back later. I called back for 3 days and the automatic system said the lines were busy and to call back. On the 5th day I reached someone who said the order couldn't be changed...EVEN THOUGH IT HADN'T BEEN SHIPPED. The rep said she would have someone call me back but never got a call. The ad said it would take 4-6 weeks to get the product yet it arrived in about 7 days. Of course my CC was also charged. I contacted my CC company and they are reversing the charge and had me return the product. The product may be great but I'll never know because of the way this company treats its customers.

We didn't try the product because we weren't sent all of the items needed to use it. When we called to ask for the additional items, we were told the additional items would cost another $60.00 to purchase. The commercial is disingenuous at best. I am now going to lose just over $40 to send the product back because they are making me pay shipping and handling which will not be refunded. In a time when gas and food is outrageous to purchase, this company is scamming the public. I have reported this product to many other agencies and I hope they will be put out of business. If there is a class action law suit, count me in. This company should not be allowed to do business in this country.

I ordered the awesome auger from the tv ad - 2weeks later I received a small box 8.95 shipping and handling with just two small tools $ 19,95 no bonus extender or weed attachment that was promised me and other customers-this is a rip-off, order anything from BILLY MAYS and you should have your HEAD EXAMINED-when you call about it they put you on hold-then give you arepeated busy signal.I AM GOING TO TURN AWESOME AUGER INTO THE NEW-YORK STATE ATTORNEY GENERAL.

I called the 800 number to order the Awesome Auger, it was automated, and NO person was available. Never give out your Credit Card Number BEFORE you get an itemized Total $. Whether its on the Phone or Internet. When they asked for my CC# before giving me the Total; I hung-up. (I would still like to buy one of these sets, if I can find another way.) You may have to ask them for the Total $, they can say they thought they gave the Total to you, but don’t remember. They SHOULD offer the Total, and Itemize it for you, but they don’t have to, and they may just forget to. These phone operators can also make honest errors. When you ask for the Total $, and then ask them to Itemize $ it, take your time, (they don’t have your Credit Card # yet) get paper, and write each item and its price or Free, and the Shipping/H $. Add it up, (take your time) make sure you get the same total they gave you. (I recommend that You can hang-up and think about it for a while, and call back, maybe you will decide to change the quantities) Don’t feel pressured. When you have decided, Only then, give them your Credit Card #. You can also ask for their Name & Employee Number. Then if you do NOT get what you Ordered, you have all the Documentation you need to contact their Customer Service, and at the same time, file a Dispute Complaint with your Credit Card Company (don’t wait). If you have clear detailed documentation, your CCC should take seriously. If you sound confused or you don’t have specific $ amounts, your CCC can say that, “you gave them your Credit Card # and Authorized them to charge your CC, so there is nothing we can do”. When dealing with the Credit Card Dispute Dept., you can always ask to speak to a Supervisor, if you are not getting anywhere with the person helping you. Be very Polite. If one person says no or your dispute is dismissed, there is almost always someone above them to plead your case with, ask if there is more documentation you could provide to them. Be very Polite. Note: (For 1 set, including Drill) The extra charge of ($27.90) for Shipping/handling is reasonable, Additional:(Drill + Weed Auger & Power Extender) (19.95)+(8.95 s/h)=(28.90)+(27.90 s/h)=(56.80 total) When you order additional items, that are not part of the original “Deal”, the S/H $ amounts can add up. (A merchant can charge as much as they want, if you are willing to Agree to it.) (Be suspicious, if they want to charge too small a $ amount for the item (Free stuff), and too large a $ amount for Shipping/H. If you want to return it, the S/H is NOT refundable. Its better to pay a larger, reasonable $ amount for the item, and an un-inflated, actual $ amount for S/H. NO company can afford to “give away” something for nothing, they have to make a profit some how.) These Telemarketers know, that the more “Free” stuff they offer in a “Deal”, the more “greedy” people will be sucked into it. These people are making Millions $ on “Free” stuff. Its unfortunate that sometimes I may have to give up something I want, just because I can’t get it without all the “Free” stuff. Again, its up to you to decide if its worth THAT amount, they are asking for??? (Unfortunately, by the time some of you read this, it will probably already be too late. But next time.)

The on-line ordering for the Awesome Auger is the worst I have evern dealt with. At no time in the entire process did it give me a chance to review my order before it was placed so I could decide based on all of the charges how much this $19.95 product was actually going to cost! I never saw the final charges for my order. Then trying to cancel the order using the same website I used to try to place the order has been even more frustrating because the email response I received from PermissionInteractive.com-CustomerService was totally useless. As others reported calling the number never connects you to a customer service rep. It advises all customer service reps are busy and states to call back later. Later, what a laugh! I called twelve times and got the same results. I don't even know how this order is supposed to ship but then who is home all the time to refuse the shipment! Advertising is so mis-leading and should be illegal. Consumers make the purchase in good faith only to find out that the good faith is a one way street.

It took 6 weeks to get the original package, only to find out that the postage was more than what the auger cost. I ordered 3 augurs as I do with many things. Never got the extension on any one of them. I did not get the weed tool. I did not get the mixer tool, and the list goes on. what a rip off. I tried numerous times to get in touch with the phone # that was on TV, but that extension is only to order, not complain. When I see the advertisement, I want to REACH OUT and TOUCH someone, if you know what I mean, through the phone.

Call them up to find out what the total would be, had to go though all this Stuff on the phone and never got though to a reap person. well after 10 min on the phone gave up now here it is almost 2 weeks later and now they are trying to get $48.85 out of my acc. for somthing that we did not order.so far i have called them 87 times got to talk to a real person ONCE. they told me that she could stop the payment and that with in a hr it would be fix. well 3 days later still nothing. the bank tells me that there is nothing that i can do until they get a fax saying that they are not taking the money and them the hold will be gone. BUT when i told this to the person they told me that they do not do faxes.

I ordered this product and there was a answer machine with not a real person. It's suppose to be $29.88 and came to be 48.98. When it came in there was missing parts not the drill but the extender which is part of the deal! When you call this idiotic company they pretend with a real person and then they switch to automatic machine. That really pissed me off! Folks stay away from the guy who has the beard with the commercials, I know he does a few of them so stay away he will rip you off. Billy Mays does bleacher, razor, cooking, construction commercials. We should sue and we should all come together and make these idiots who nothing about service pay. Good thing President Bush is going out of office or we all would have been paying double because of his economy strategies.

Wow!!! Am I glad I didn't fall into that scam. They sell it so convincing on TV. Thank's again for your comments and I hope all who got ripped off get their money back and make this company resposible for all your wasted time and money. Good luck!

I tried to return these items. Phone just rings & music plays for hrs. every time I call which must have been 5. I purchased them on the internet web site and when I clicked to submit it made me ordering 2. I wanted the weed auger, but that is not what I got. When I did get through to CS 1 time Donna said she would send a pick up slip to pick up the augers and send me out an extension. But this never happened. I am going to contact my credit card co., and the Attorney General. DO NOT BUY

I ordered the auger with the other "free" attachments. They have charged my card over $100 and now I cannot get a hold of anyone at there 920-966-6600 customer service number. No one EVER answers. Any ideas on what I can do to cancel my order?

I ordered the Awesome Auger on 3/28/08 - and was to receive in 4-6 weeks. I wanted the Cordless drill instead of the corded drill and called 2 days after ordering and asked to chage the drills -- I was told it wasn't in the system yet. I called back the next day & they said it had shipped! I finally got thru to customer service & was told I would get a refund for the corded drill. I was supposed to get the extension & the Weed auger & 18" power extender. They were not in my package. I returned the corded drill which cost me $12.50 to return. I see there are so many others that have had similar problems with this company. I would be willing to join in a class action law suit. I cannot get back in touch with customer service "they are busy helping other customers - call back in a few minutes" every single day!!!!

I didn't use it because I want to return it, i was attracted by their commercial on TV, on that commercial that was a wonderful complete tool for the gardening. And when I spent almost 30 dollars, i only got 2 piece of metal junk! There is no handle, nothing I can put those 2 pieces metal. Both my husband and I tried to call their customer service number 1-866-504-7702, nobody answer the phone and they just hung up on us when we tried to reach Customer Service Rep. Then i came to website to check the Scam of this company and found there are so many complaints out there already and realized that I was trapped by their commercial. My questions is how this company get around the TV censor system to continue to cheat on innocent customers. How can they still be there since there are so many people had reported to BBB. I am going to report on BBB and see if i can get this issue resolved! Please dont buy anything from them! They are total scam company. Thank you
