While using the Keyless drill, I inserted the power extender into the drill. After running the drill the power extender came loose and I was able to shut off the drill immediately. I believe that what happened could have injured someone. The Drill that Billy May uses and claims it is for free is not the drill I received. The drill he shows is yellow and it is powered by a battery. I would like an explanation before someone gets hurt.

I ordered the auger on line and was willing to pay the stated price. The Shipping and Handling fee is $57.85. I have tried to cancel but they will not return my emails nor phone calls. My only recourse is to wait until they charge my credit card and then protest the charge.
I want to report this to the authorities for fraud. Who do I turn to?

Online, could not peruse w/o entering credit card info ... sounded good!! All of a sudden, I'd purchased the auger for $19.95 plus $28.90 shipping!! There was no final checkout!!
I've been literally walking around with my phone on "redial" for the past 4 days ~ "customer service is busy" & hangs up without the option of "hold for next available" ...
I've fired off numerous e-mails to customer service to cancel -- with no response.
I don't want the product; I didn't okay the authorization; I'm not happy ~ and no one's home to complain to!!
$50 rip-off ... that's my gas for not quite a week!!

I saw the Awesome Auger on T.V. and it looked great. I only wanted one. Once they had my card number, there seemed no way to turn back. I had to purchase a minimum of three. Contrary to other complaints I've read, I received it fairly promptly. That's when I found out that my product purchase of $59.85 came to a total of $174.50. Ouch! That's $114.65 for shipping and packaging. The package consisted of one box with thin, cheap boxes inside. No bubble wrap, no packing peanuts, no nothing. What the hell cost so much to package when the shipping shouldn't have been more than ten or twelve bucks? Plus, it seems like I faired better than most, but I was still missing four items. Yes, I got my drills. Billy Mayes should be ashamed of himself! Look at all the people who truly suffer because of this scam. This man and this company are truly modern day infomercial terrorists! I say, class action suit. It can't hurt them as much as it has hurt all of us, but combined it'll put a dent in their pockets and send a clear message! Sandi P.S. The phone order took 17 minutes because they tried to sell me every off the wall item before I could end it. You can't hang up, cause you wait for a confirmation # and total that you don't receive. Thanks for wasting my break time.

On 4/3/2008 I placed an order for the Awesome Auger by mistake. I immediately called customer service to cancel the order. I was told that there was no way at that time to cancel to call back in 24 hours, that the order would not ship right away. I tried for 3 days to get through. When I did I was told that the order had already been shipped, and to call back as soon as it arrived. That has been a week ago and I have yet to get through to them.

On April 18,2008, I ordered the Awesome Auger for my husband. I could not believe the time it took me just trying to convince the automated system that I was not interested in any other offers. It didn't give me a chance to say yes to one of the free items before it told me I refused the offer and did not qualify to receive it. I tried calling and calling to complain about what happened to this company and all I got was an automated voice telling me to try the Internet-totally disgusted!! I tried @ 7AM Central time when they were suppose to be opened-the same recording!! Then I went on the Internet to see if anyone else had the same problem, was I supprised!
NEVER order anything until you have done your homework. Had I checked into this add before I gave them my debit card, I wouldn't be posting this comment this morning.
Do what I did. I called the FRAUD DEPT for my bank when I saw Awesome Auger's trying to get $92.70 for a $19.95 drill and $7.95 S&H from my account. I asked the bank rep to go on the Internet and READ some of the complaints out there and she did. My bank gave me a claim # this morning and when I checked that pending withdrawal was no longer there. They didn't get to laugh to their bank with my money. I will be watching my account as well to make sure they don't try it again to withdraw. Call your bank and let them get in contact with Awesome Auger. Don't let them take your/our money that we work hard for behind their money making, lying about the price, sales pitch tool. I even called the District Attorneys office and filed a complaint with them as well. I will be their worst nightmare. I am letting everyone know that they can get their money back. Just call your banks FRAUD DEPT if they took more than what was advertised from you. Anyone can do simple math. Get to your bank's Fraud Dept. and let them investigate the issue. They will return your money until they resolve the problem. A bank can contact these people and they will get it corrected. Banks are the last people they-AwesomeAuger-want checking them out-trust me. Believe me this company does not want to deal with any major banks at all. By the way, when the package arrives, if they took too much money from your account or charged too much, don't open the package. Write REFUSED on the box, go to the Post Office and send it back UNOPENED. Get a receipt proving you returned the item and let your bank get your money back for you. I was even thinking about starting a class action suit against this company. Who feel the same way as I do? I wonder how many people feel like they have been jilted and stuck. No, you are not stuck get help. I am sure the Awesome Auger is a great product, BUT, apparently it is being marketed by various venders, some of which are practicing fraud.

I wish I had seen this site before ordering the Awesome(?) Auger!! I was so excited to receive it but then I looked at the bill. The first Auger was $19.95 as advertised. The second that was suppose to be half price was $14.95. (Extensions were not even included with either set.) To top it off the P&H was $107.70!!! If there is a class action law suit - count me in. Something I expected to pay around $50 at the most cost me $152.60. Outrageous!!!!

The Awesome Auger is a pathetic pile designed to draw the naive willing to part with money for nothing. When Billy Mays TV does a commercial thats the first clue to steer clear of over priced crap. Embarrassing piece of metal spinning on the end of a disposable drill does pretty much nothing.

I ordered 2 augers and "upgraded" to 2 cordless drills at $19.95 per. What a JOKE!! The drills are good for nothing! making the extended drill warranties at $4.96 per totally worthless! Put the augers on a one of my son's more powerful drills ...and nearly vibrated my wrists off! I ordered this b/c I have arthritis, have broken both wrists, and bad knee so thought it would be very useful especially with the "free" extender. What particularly pissed me off is that they quoted $8.95 per drill for S&H so I was expecting maybe $25. The fee charged to my card was $113.70!! almost 3X the product cost! AND, even more frustrating - have called their CustSvc# MANY times and all they say is - we're busy, call back again, and they cut you off. Have now disputed the entire charge with my credit card company.

I ordered the Awesome Auger last year with the understanding that I would receive the drill free of charge. Not only did I not get the drill but when I called about it, the man on the phone was extremely rude and said that the ad never stated that I would receive a free drill. I will never again order anything from TV and especially not anything that Billy Mays advertises. It's a shame he doesn't have more integrity---looks like he just wants to get a paycheck!

Ordered the Awesome Auger and received it about 2-weeks ago. I received the 2 small augers but did not receive the drill, 18" extender with the lock pin. Since I received my "incomplete" order last week, I've been calling over and over and keep getting that automated service! And no one is ever available all reps are busy and to call back later!
Their website is confusing. Anyone interested in buying this product-BEWARE!!!!!!!!!! April 2008

As far as I know, we will own this in a couple of days. I got on the website for the TV commercial for the Awesome Auger. It says its $19.95 + 7.95 S&P. They also say that all these other items are bonuses, you pay S&P (processing). However, in order to see anything you put all your order info, name, address, credit card, etc. As you continue in the website, to look at add'l bonus items: the S&P is the price you would pay to buy them. As you realize that the prices are what you would normally pay at a store, you find that there is no way to cancel the order, you cannot go back to the original page and you can only continue through all the extras. When you get to the end they say thank you for your order, so you basically just ordered the auger for 19.95+ 7.95, and there is no way to cancel and no company name or address any where on the website. I was leary about putting credit card info in the beginning of the website, I know better now. It definitely is a scam. Now to see what the auger is like?!! Website is www.buytheauger.com

The 19.95 auger ended up costing 76.60. 50.00 for shipping. Not only that I tried the drill once and it doesn't work. The drill just spins and doesn't move the bit around. It is a piece of junk and the shipping is rediculous. Than to top it all off, you can't contact them by phone or e-mail. I have tried both several times to no avail. Buyer Beware!!!!
I would like some answers or at least a new drill. I could of bought one at my local home depot cheaper and of better quality.

I ordered the Awesome Auger 4/04/08. According to the ad the cost was $19.95 plus $8+ (under $9.00) When I received the shipping invoice the total charged to my account was $68.85.
When I first tried out the crill, it did not work, however it did after somewhile.
When I reveived my shipment I was missing the weed auger and the 18" extender.
I have tried several time to call customer service, but they always are busy an tell me to call back. They never answer!
I sent E-mail, and it came back saying they no longer accept E-mail. I can't get an address of these people, or any other communication. I beleve it's just another scam!

Same story here, except I can't get through on the phone nor can I access their email. Bogus 100%. Missing promised "free" extender and another piece. Shipping fees were horrible! Somebody wrote...Class action suit...I'm ready to file one!

My husband tried to order 2 sets of the Awesome Augers over the Internet. It was very confusing about shipping and handling as well as the price for (2) sets. He backed out of the order and never finished it. I called the toll free number to see if we could better understand the charges but this was equally confusing. They already had my credit card number and I tried to undo the order but that was not possible. I called back the next day and even though it took most of the day to get through, I did get to cancel the order. However the lady I spoke to told me there was an Internet order pending and we would probably still get it. She could not give me the total charge. She told me to call back the next day. I have tried many times but cannot get through on the phone. They give you a URL for customer serive but it is not valid. I have no idea what the charge will be or if we will ever get anything in the mail. What a mess!!!

I can't believe how this company is ripping off people with their unbelievable high cost of "processing and handling." There was not a live person taking my order. It was all automated. I ordered one set and then was convinced to order the second set at a $5 savings, and I ordered the Samarai Shark for $10. The total was to be $44.90. However, when the order arrived I looked at the invoice and the added charge for P&H was $78.65. After staying on the phone for several minutes to customer service trying to see if the P&H was a mistake, I get a recording saying all reps are busy. Try your call another time. After 3 days of trying I pressed the number for "shipments that had not arrived" and complained to a lady. She said the high cost of P&H is to make up for getting the free drill and extender and lock. I told her that when I ordered this there was no mention of the cost of P&H. She said there was too. I disagreed with her and told her that if I had been told how much it was going to cost, I would not have placed the order. I am furious that I got ripped off. I'm calling my credit card company and the local TV channel, the BBB, and the attorney general's office. How can they get by with deceptive advertising. I can accept a reasonable mailing cost but theirs is outrageous!

Like everyone else that was ripped off by these people, I was able to provide enough proof to my bank that I am getting a refund of 46.85 for the unauthorized P&H charges. I did receive everything I ordered but the drill looks and opperates like something out of a gumball machine. The web-site address that I was given is no good and the way I found this site was by doing a search on the auwesome auger and was not suprised when I saw so many people who were unfortunately ripped off so much more severely than myself. I feel fortuneate after reading all of the other horror stories. Personally, I feel that Willie Mayea or whatever his name is should be anally impaled with an awesome auger that works if we can find one. Once again I am thank ful that my bank is going after these scumbags and I am receiving a credit within 7-10 business days and ausome auger can't do a damn thing about it. Good luck to all that have had these simular problems.
