The prodct was offered for sale on TV for $19.95 plus $8.95 for shippinh and handling. I ordered it with my debit card. I received the product in a reasonable time however the shipping ad handling charge was listed at $36.85. Also one of the items, the extender rod is bent. I would like to get what I paid for plus a rebate on the excessive shipping and handling they overcharged me.
Thanks Robert

Do not order the Awesome Auger. It is overpriced for what you receive. The commercial is fraudulent and misleading. All you get for your money is high cost processing and handling fees. I called the company to return the products. They agreed. However, they informed me that I would lose the $8.95 processing fee that was charged on each item. I order 3 sets which was 6 items. I did not return the items because I would have lost over $50.00 Don't order the Awesome Auger. It's a ripoff!

SCAM ALERT!!! Took two months to receive this product, though as soon as it was shipped, my card was charged. I was told it was going to be $19.95 plus shipping and handling, though the cost of shipping and handling was not disclosed. I am a single mom and make 1200 a month, and if I KNEW that it was going to cost the 76.08 I was charged for the awesome Auger, I NEVER would have completed the transaction. That's a lot of money to me! It was a shock when I saw that charge on my bank account. When the product arrived, TWO MONTHS later, I called to return the product because I felt I was taken advantage of with an exorbitant shipping fee. I was told: We can certainly return the product and credit your account for that, but we can no credit the shipping and handling fees, as that is out of our hands.

Count us in as being scammed too! $113.70 for SHIPPING! I could scream, cry something! I wish my husband paid more attention to such things. Anyone had any luck getting refunded including the outrageous shipping charges?

Ok, so the ordering process is quirky - give your credit card info first and there is no confirmation before you buy. BUT I read as I went along through the numerous screens and they are very clear on each product about the cost of the processing and shipping charges on each product. It's a horrible way to do business, but you, as the consumer need pay attention to the details before you buy. I chose to purchase just the 2 augers and they arrived very well packaged in just 8 days, well before I expected it. I bought an extension at [] for $6.20 and it works great.

I ordered the product a few weeks ago. I received it well before the 4-6 weeks they claimed. There was no extender, drill, or weed attachment. The $8 shipping seems reasonable for 2 augers. I'm not going to try to get the missing pieces, because it sounds like more trouble than they are worth. I will get a $5 extender from the hardware store, and use my own drill. I consider myself lucky that I wasn't scammed as badly as some of the others.

I too was scammed on this product. All I received was the the 3" and 4" augers. There was no extender as the informercial implied that came with this purchase for $19.95. Billy Mays should be unemployed. I will never buy another product that he hawks for. I have contacted the Better Business Bureau and made out a complaint. There should be a class act law suit on this manufacturing/company.
Do Not buy this product.

I ordered the Awesome Auger online 08-21-2008. The shipping charges for the auger nor the shipping charges were stated (only that you get the item ordered for a handling and shipping). Even when I got the conformation e-mail, did I realize; cost of auger and shipping charges were listed, but not a total charge. I immediately got back online. Went to Customer Service and cancelled the order. It will take them at least 48 hours to reply to my request! I also made a copy of the form that I filled out; proof that I cancelled the order.

My girlsfriend and I decided to order two Awesome Augers as S&P is usually cheaper. She got the big push to upgrade and get extras etc. Finally she hung up. The two augers arrived and I went to pay my share of the shipping. It was $77.70 That is the scam. They give you a free drill and a huge Shipping Fee. I called and they went over the charges. Both the augers and the drills were charged separately for shippng. I called back the next day and spent about 35 min. on the phone. I got an autorization to return the product and got a $99.80 refund for most of the charges. The bill was $117.70 and we get $99.80 back. (Funny thing is I probably would have kept the things if the company wasn't so dishonest.)

Same thing as everybody else. Scammed on the P and H. Also shorted a drill. I guess they will get another $20.00 to ship that. Credit card company can only get them for the $39.90 for the 2 drills. They can't do anything about the P and H. Quite the scam this company has. They ship the product in a crappy box; it probably cost them about $15.00 to ship this. Oh well, live and learn. Maybe the 492 of us who got screwed will keep that 493rd person from buying this cheap, but expensive product.

I started to order this auger however I went to the order site and read. You will pay $19.95 for the Auger and $8.95 S&H, then it states, the weed and extender bonus will have an addition $7.95 S&H and if you'd like the optional drill it will have a S&H fee of $19.95. It's all there people, just read. It also says it will not refund S&H the most expensive part.
Well I'm no dummy, I'm not going to order from the computer. So read the fine print folks and don't be so quick to hit these buttons. : ) I love the drill and 2 auger's and paid for just what I wanted no more or less and got them so fast

I ordered the awesome auger after seeing the pitch on TV. This is the first time that I have ever purchased an item from an infomercial. When I finally received my order (6 pieces), I was shocked at the shipping charge. I sent them an e-mail about the charge and received the explanation that I was charged as though each item had been sent separately. The charge was $70.83 while the products were $34.95.
Today, the box and I went to the post office to get an official shipping charge. It is $16.20 via parcel post.
I am going to dispute the charge on my bank card. If they want to credit my account for $54.63, I will keep the items even though, after reading everyone's complaints, I know that the products are worthless. After all, I was stupid enough to fall for it. If they are not willing to give me the credit I ask for, then they will get nothing and I will work very hard to see that they never do. This was a lesson for me. I hope that you are reading this before making the purchase rather than after.

On 6-28-08 I ordered the awesome auger set(1 one) set. I received it on 8-16-08. 3 sets. was charged $220.40. $170 was P&H. I have tried to call and cannot get to speak to a represenitive. I feel this is truly a scam. I am 75 and live on Social Security and cannot afford to mail them back as they will still keep the $170 and it will cost me more postage. What is one to do?

My mom bought the auger and had such a hard time trying to order it. It took her about an hour just to get through all the BS that they were trying to get her to buy and she couldnt hardly under stand what they were saying. When she got it instead of the free cordless dreill she got a cheap plug in drill that wasnt worth the shipping price she had to pay for it. It works but not very well. As far as I'm conserned she was ripped off.

WE SAW THIS ITEM ON THE TV AND THOUGHT THAT IT WOULD HELP US IN OUR FLOWER GARDEN [WITH WEEDS EXTRACTION ETC]. WHAT IS SUPPOSED TO COST $19.95 HAS COST US A TOTAL OF $56.80 ON OUR MASTER CARD AND THE THING IS A PIECE OF JUNK THAT DOESN'T WORK LIKE IT SHOULD. THE BITS ALL CAME IN THE SAME BOX BUT WE WERE CHARGED NOT ONLY THE ADVERTISED $19.95 BUT AN ADDITIONAL $7.95 AND $8.95 RESPECTFULLY FOR THOSE ITEMS THAT CAME IN THE SAME BOX.
THE NEXT ITEM IS THE FREE DRILL. THE SHIPPING AND HANDLING ON THIS ITEM IS ANOTHER $19.95 AND THAT BRINGS THE TOTAL AMOUNT CHARGED ON OUR MASTER CARD TO $56.80 FOR SOMETHING THAT WAS SUPPOSED TO COSE $19.95 AND DOESN'T WORK.
THE BITS ARE SO FAR OUT OF BALANCE THAT THE WHOLE THING SHIMMYS AND SHAKES ALL OVER THE PLACE WHEN YOU TRY AND USE IT.
THE WEEDING IDEA DOESN'T WORK AS THE BIT FILLS UP WITH WEED VINES IN ABOUT 10 SECONDS AND HAS
TO BE CLEANED OFF MANUALLY. THE TRENCHING DOESN'T WORK EITHER. IT WILL TRY AND DIG HOLES BUT THE VIBRATION WILL SOOM TEAT OUT THE BEARINGS IN THE CHEAP DRILL THAT THEY SEN US.
OVERALL IT IS AN OVERPRICED PIECE OF JUNK THAT IS A JOKE IN CONTEXT AND THOSE SELLING IT SHOULD BE HUNG OUT TO DRY FOR SCAMMIN US OLDER PEOPLE. I AM 71 AND MY WIFE IS 72.

I ordered the awesome auger on June 1 , 2008. today, on aug 12, 2008, I received a box with the drill, two short augers ,a battery, 2 samurai shark knife sharpeners, which I don't remember ordering, but could have, because I could not understand the person I talking to. I did not get the extender which I thought I ordered or the the weed auger-seed planter. When I called to complain, all I get is a computer. I was charged a whopping 58.80 us dollars for the honor of getting my order wrong and taking 2 and 1/2 months to get it to me. My total order for the 19.95 auger and free drill came to 103.70 us dollars. how about that for a scam? I got the 3 and the 4 augers , the drill, the battery, two cheap knife sharpeners, for $103.70. Is there not someone higher we can complain to?

I bought this product in April. I received 2 augers 6 weeks later. I am still waiting to receive the free products so I acn operate the augers. After repeated attempts to reach the company I finally notified the Better Business Bureau National Office to warn them about this scam.

Like every letter read here ,I too purchased the awesome auger. It took 6 weeks before I received it. First surprise:for a 19.99 purchase the bill was 56.80. The so call shipping an handeling was almost twice the cost of the auger. Second surprise: The attachments did not fit the drill. I went out an purchased another drill with a larger head. Their drill has a 3/8" fit. The attachments need a 1/2"bit)here comes the nightmare: I called customer service. I was referred to the company that supplies the drills. I called them an was referred to a supervisor of customer service. I called this lady every day for a week. Never reveived a call back. I then called auge customer service back. I was told that I could send it back but I would have to pay s&h, I would be credited for only 19.99 or they would send me another drill that had a 1/2" head which would take 4 to six weeks & the would give me $10 as a good will gesture.
This is the biggest ripoff. I think someome should take this a bit further .This company should be
held accountable.
With over 500 complants you would
someone would take notice.
