I have seen this item advertised by different catalogs, but when I saw it advertised by someone I trusted because of his influence in other products, I called and ordered two sets of #" & $" augers, 1 weed auger, extender and one special corded power drill. They kept trying to get me to order two drills, but I just needed one drill so that is what I told them. When I finally got the package it had two drills in it. I called customer service a few times without being able to get through. I e-mailed without success and I tried to go to the web site, but have failed there too. I am afraid to mail the drill back without some sort of return authorization number.

I orderd the awesome auger off of TV. They said I was only paying $19.95 instead $153.00 came out of my account. This company is a scam. I have called their customer service line several times. It says automatically that all customer service reps are busy. What a crock! I am now in negotiations with my bank to refund the money. DO NOT fall for this. It is a scam.

My complaint is an echo of all the above. Product was not as represented. I tried for days to reach a human to get this resolved but after several transfers to various robots was told all customer service people were busy. I could not obtain information to return the incomplete over charged items. A recording gave me a website address that was not operating. A class action suit is in order against this company for mail fraud.

My wife and I were watching TV an infomercial came on it sounded good, gave my wife my credit card to place the order, it took forever, they kept trying to get her to order more and more products, my wife kept repeating NO NO I don't want it. We received the 2 aguers and 2 drills the total for products was 34.90..ok but P & H (packaging and handeling) was $62.75. There was no express delivery and it came USPS regular mail carrier. How do they justify this charge, tried to call many times, never spoke to a real person only recording, tried to send email but they send you to a generic direct email service and there is no place to respond, I found this site when I googled Awesome Auger and found this site. I plan to file a complaint with the BBB also. Thanks for the tips for those of you who have already done this. We are so angery that they can even do this to people. SCAM you bet!!! Tom

I bought the "Awesome Auger" on April 6, 2008 via their website. www.buyawesomeauger.com. I bought only the AAUG-TV set(Awesome Auger with Ground Auger Set). I have an email order confirmation that states my total was $30.62. I have recently gotten my Visa statement that stated they charged me $50.50. I did not sign up for anything else when I ordered this product. I wanted to pursue this issue and inquire about the $19.88 difference and there is no phone # to be found. I reported my dispute to my bank and they gave me a phone #920.966.6600, that they had on record for this transaction. It is not toll free and I am not sure if I am being charged "extra" for this call. I called this # and it is the "Samurai Knives" ordering toll free number. Why? Obviously these substandard products have the same billing company. I am not thrilled with this product. Nevertheless, I will keep it, but I do not want to be charged extra for it and I am very upset that I have the additional hassle to retrieve my money that they stole from me. You may pass my story onto any State or Federal Dept. that will enforce the laws against scam companies such as this one.

I ordered the Awesome Auger for $19.95. I've not had the pleasure of experiencing the awesomeness of this product b/c I just received the blades w/o an extension. I also didn't receive the Power Drill. I tried calling customer service but they're always "busy with other customers". I also sent an email and still no reply. I should have read this blog before I bought the product.

I ordered Awesome Auger; which was to include drill and extension for auger.
All I received was 2 augers.
I am wondering if I should report this scam to State Attorney General!!

I was wondering whyI couldnt get in touch with the sellers of the awesome auger. I too ordered one, and ended up with two. Before I closed the deal, I was not given an option to review my order. I tried email and phone to cancel one. I got so frustrated after waiting for over an hour that I put the phone down (still connected) and left the house to go for a walk on the beach. I came back a little more than an hour later, and guess what. Yup. still on hold. My bank was charged the money for two augers and all the extras, and I still await my product.

Silly, sorry me! I logged on to the "Buytheauger" website, thinking the auger would help in my upcoming 50-tree seedling planting project ... input my credit card info ... followed thru all the extraneous "do you want to add this 'n that's" (saying "no" to each) ... and viola!! my credit card was "received and is being processed". WHAT?????????
I immediately fired-off an e-mail to cancel the order. (No response)
I've spent 2 days on phone re-dial to "customer service" -- you don't even get to wait; you're disconnected.
Total bill was to be $19.95 + $8.95 S/H ~ online bill charges show a total of $48.85 ~ and their is no customer service; no response to email ...

My order of the Awesome Auger was so disappointing. I only received the blades, 3" and 4" and never received the high power drill and power extender....so it is useless without these...I have called and called and never got through because of high volume of calls...(so they say)d...I knew then that it is a scam and when I get my statement I will probably be charged like everyone else....way too much.

My mother ordered two augers and drills, the understanding was that the extensions were included in the order, they didnt come. And was charged 94.00 for shipping. I have asked them to refund a reasonable amount to her. Couldn't get through on the toll free customer service line, they say they're talking to someone else and dont give you an option to hold and then they hang up. How convenient. What a deal.

I placed and order for the awsome auger and it was suppose to be $19.95 plus shipping and handling but my total came out to be 90 something dollars. I tried cancelling my order and can't get a answer at customer service. These people are a scam.

The drill was suppose to be free. just 19.95 and 8.95 shipping and handling and it was over 50 dollars. I want my money back for the difference and I want my cordless drill.

I ordered the Awesome Auger and did not receive the Power Extender that was supposed to be sent. The intrustions came and that's all. When trying to call the customer service number given it is impossible to get through. The answering service is a recording and just tells you that all reps are busy and says to call back and hangs up. I have called the number many many times and it is always the same thing. They also give you an e-mail address for the customer service dept however when you get to the site there is no provision to send a message and only Bill May asks you to buy again. Is he also a scam or he is unaware that this is a scam. For a 34.90 order they charged my account 97.80 for shipping and handling. That is Awesome......guess the name fits the product. After reading all the problems these other people have had it is a wonder why the authorties have not stepped in and stopped this scam.....

I ordered the awesome auger over the phone on April 19, 2008 in the amount of $19.99 + $8.99 shipping and handling. On April 22nd, a charge in the amount of 58.46 appeared on my bank statement, (I view each day online). I immediately phoned my bank to stop the charge. I ordered 1 auger, which was suppose to include other free attachments, not of charge to me.
You cannot speak directly with a live person, I called two numbers 1866-504-7702, supposedly customer service, who instruct you to go online to report a problem. Again, no direct contact.

Scam. Like others have stated, they really own you on the "shipping and processing" fee. But, that's not all. I figured I would at least get a confirmation page to see what the total would be, with shipping, and confirm the order I was placing. Not so. As I was clicking next to decide what items I would want at the cost they were advertising, I eventually reached the last page that came without warning. You don't know it's the last page... that's the surprise when they tell you how much it costs and your order number all at once.
I try calling their customer service, and you CANNOT HOLD. They DON'T ALLOW YOU TO. It simply says that all customer service reps are busy at this time, and to callback later before it terminates the call. I e-mailed the and told them to cancel my order... I have not heard back from them.
I called my credit card company, and though the $76.80 has not posted to my account yet, it is processing. They said to call back once it has actually posted on the account.
How can they get away with this? I was essentially adding things to a cart, and then BAM, here is the rediculous price after $56.00+ in "shipping and processing" fees.
Stay away, it's a scam.
