I just received the Awesome Auger, which was supposed to come with a drill, but there was no drill included. I called Customer Service and got a recording that all representatives were busy and to go on line, then was disconnected.
I found this site, and wish I had seen it before I placed my order. I'm going to attempt to return it and have my credit card credited. I'll also have my credit card reverse the charge.

We ordered one $19.95 item off of the TV. It was the Awesome Auger. The shipping was supposed tob e $7.95 Well the thing arrived yesterday and our credit card was debited $56.55
I called to ask why but you can't talk to a real person.
I think the shipping should be refunded as the second two items were supposed to be free! And they were all shipped in one box.
They are SCAMS

Do not buy this product. The extension is too short to use. The drill is also too heavy for most women to use. The drill is also poor quality. They scam you on the shipping and processing charges. Buyer beware!

I have been reading all of the complaints and might as well add mine.Is there any indication that a class action lawsuit might be filed against Awesome Auger?
I ordered 2 awesome auger sets, extenders with 2 free drills. I was unable to talk to a real person, only their recording. I had to call back the next day to get the total price and I was flabbergasted when they told me the price.
The product price was $34.90 plus P&H $73.70 for a total of $108.60. When I received the order,I tried out the one auger with the cheap electric drill which was to be a nice cordless drill. The material of the augers is not hardened to last a long time and you could get hurt if you hit a rock or roots while the drill was operating, broken wrist or arm,so they are not safe?
Anyway,I called and talked to a Crystal and argued with her over the price and I told her I wanted to talk to her Supervisor, she said she would have the Supervisor call me in 2 days since they were really busy with calls and tell me my RA number so I could return the order. I never received a call and now they don't answer the toll free number 1-866-504-7702.
I'm real unhappy with this whole mess and wish I had never heard of awesome auger. I'm retired and can't afford getting took like this? Anyone got any ideas how we all can get back at these crooks?

My wife and I saw their infomercial one evening during a commercial break. Sounded good for a battery powered drill and all the attachments. My wife wanted me to get one and like a fool, I did. Their computer asked if I was calling about their "Deal" and I was, they then wanted my credit card number for the $19.95, then said they were adding for Shipping and handling, then said that the weeder would require an additional amount, and the cordless drill another amount, and the extender another amount. Their computer was speaking fast, but it sounded like they were wanting an additional $100 in shipping and handling if I wanted what they said would be in the package. I hung up since there was no way to speak to a human or cancel my order. When I got their phone number, every time I asked their computer for customer service, I was told they were busy and was hung up on. Today, I received two sizes of auger and a cord type electric drill, no weeder, no extender, no cordless drill, etc. Total cost $48.85. I sent them an email threatening them with reporting them to everyone I could think of from the better business bureau to the FCC.

I purchased 2 of the awesome augers with the upgrade to cordless drills. I was offered rush delivery for a "nominal" fee. It took 2 weeks (some rush huh!) and I finally got the product but once I looked at the receipt I was in shock to discover $39.90 for the items plus $118.00 for shipping!! I have tried calling the customer service number on the receipt and always get the same recording that everyone is busy, try again later. There is NO option to leave a message either. I have not tried the product yet but it better be something special for what I paid. I think it is a big rip off and something should be done to the company.

I had ordered via telephone and was put off that I couldn't speak to a real, live human being to ask some questions. I didn't complete the call and hung up and started reading the complaints about the lack of customer service on this blog. Apparently some people have been sent the product even after they hung up and didn't complete the ordering process.
I called the credit card company's customer service and explained the situation to their rep. Even though I couldn't put a "stop payment" on it (they way you could if a personal check had been written) the person I spoke to (YES, a real live human!) did suggest one remedy and that was to close this particular credit card account and open a new one with a new number and a new card would be issued. This is the way I chose to go.
He also suggested that I wait until the charge had been posted and then dispute it but remembering what I had read on this blog about the lack of success following that route, I decided it was less painful to get a new card issued.
This is a valuable lesson to me: RESEARCH these "bargain" ads first!! I was glad to come across this blog and I thank the folks who put it together.
I agree, Billy is 'way too slick. But he doesn't care because he is laughing all the way to the bank!
Shame on YOU, Billy!

My mother talked me into the order for this product, so I placed the order online. It struck me as strange to ask for my credit card info before the order but I went thru and ordered $45 dollars. The problem is the $66 shipping charges. I tried to cancel the order immediately but no way to do that online. I called the number on the site 866-504-7702 it was after 8pm so I called Monday morning 9am and spent 15 min on hold for someone only to be told that the order is not in the system try again tomorrow. But if the order comes thru and is processed between this call and my call the next day then there is nothing I can do. I was told there is no company headquaters no higher power and the company's name is Awesome Auger. This is a complete and utter scam!

What a sham. Total ripoff. Buyer beware of this scam artist.
What I received is a product that
is probably worth 75 cents, and shipping and handling is very overpriced. Reported this to credit card company and will file complaint form.

I saw the ad on TV and promptly went to the phone and attempted to order this Awesome Auger. After about 5 minutes on the phone I got so disgusted that I hung up without placing an order. The ad stated it would be something like 4 to 8 weeks for delivery. In about a week I got an Auger without the extension part. The cost as advertised was $19.95 plus $8.95 shipping. I was charged $28.90 for P&H for a total of $48.85. I attempted to email these people, but my ISP keeps returning my message as undeliverable. I reported this to my Visa Bank and let them know what was going on and they flagged this order as a fraud. I had them cancel my present Visa Card and they will reissue me another one for a cost of $10.00. Too bad I didn't see all these complaints before I ordered this darn thing. I hope that these crooks get what's coming to them.

I am so grateful for this web site. It prevented me from making a foolish choice. The reason for the comment is a suggestion for all the people who were scammed. In addition to all of the other things they are doing to recover their money, I recommend that every they see a commercial with Billy Mays, write to the company he is representing stating they will never purchase any product he is associated with. Not just the Awesome Auger, but each & every other product too due to his complete lack of credibilty. Hit him in the wallet just as you have been scammed and robbed. Also If you belong to AARP write to them too!
To the people who run this site, if you have a way to forward this to the people who have been scammed, that would be great.
Thank you for what you are doing.

I am very glad for this website, as I will not waste time trying to contact the company to try to get them to send me what they said they would. I will just call my bank and dispute the credit card charges as 'item not received.' I am glad I paid by credit card. I will also call BBB in my area, I agree there should be a class action lawsuit, this is outrageous.
OK, my story is another twist on what was written here. I was supposed to get the awesome auger for digging, a weed auger to get weeds, extender and power drill for $19.95 plus shipping. Today, I got a little box with two auger attachments, which look exactly the same. That is, no difference between the digging auger and weed auger. There was no extender and no drill. What good is this? Maybe the company has been scared off by the slew of other complaints, they did charge me only the $19.95 plus $8.95 as they said they would. ..... But they did not send the product. I will call my bank on Monday, they will tell me to send it back, certified, return receipt (been there, done it before) and likely I will get my money back. I will also state I want shipping etc, and mention all these other complaints. -- I have often ordered from [], who often says people are afraid to order from them fearing this is too good to be true. [] has always sent what was bought in a timely way and will give a 30 day inspection time and refund within 30 days. I sent back several items and they did refund (though not shipping.) However, definitely worth it, their items are a fraction of what stores cost (if you can even find them), I continue to order through them. They sent me a Customer Appreciation 20% coupon, have given me other discounts, and been a pleasure to work with.
Ex - I bought a ring from [] and went to a local jewelry show and two of the vendors had fits that I got such a low price for my ring. So they really are what they say and a fraction of what others would sell for. And the jewelry show was wholesale prices too, and still [] beat their price. So there are some very good deals though honest companies to be found on TV buying.
So.... no one should feel dumb for being duped by this scam. Good companies like [] have to pay for what these scam artists do, as it turns people off to buying through TV.
