I too got taken in but got it resolved. I called the toll free and just waited for a long time. Finally I got some one on the phone and canceled. No problem. You just have to wait.

I received part of the auger in the mail. Called to tell them that the drill, locking pin, extender was missing. Was told they were not included in offer. Even though the offer pictured them and offered them. What a piece of junk. Can't get thru to site to cancel order and send back what I recieved and get a refund. It is a real scam. I am so disappointed unfortunately I believed what they were saying.

this product is awful. first time i have bought off tv and will never again. after the long pitch to purchase ended up buying 2 of them to the tune of $110.35. $73.70 for shipping and handling. at that rate I can't afford to return it. also most of the pieces don't fit into the drill bought from them, some of the holes for the extention rod are drilled off center and they don't fit. did purchase second set for a gift but wouldn't give such a piece of junk to my worst enemy. also found [] sells a similar item for about $2. am ashamed to admit to my family what a horses butt i am to have ordered this product at all.

I went online to order the awesome auger, and stopped the order when I realized the outrageous shipping and handling charges that were being added. I tried to call the co. to tell them I did not finish the order, and to delete my debit card info. I sent an immediate e-mail to say the same. I never received a receipt or an e-mail telling me any confirmation info--yet they took nearly $50 out of my bank acct. Now, after writing them, they e-mailed me to tell me they won't pay the return shipping. I suggest everyone contact The Better Business Bureau about this scam. Then, contact the Wisconsin State's Attorney's office and report what was done to you. Next, e-mail everyone you know about what happened to you--and ask them to e-mail everyone they know. Maybe we can save a few thousand people from getting ripped off. I will be doing all of those things. Are any of you lawyers so we can file a class action lawsuit against them? Thanx.

On Saturday, April 26 I placed an order for 2 augers. When the order got broken up into all the components which were free but entailed outrageous shipping and handling fees, I could not get out of the automated order phone line to stop the ordering process without hanging up. I was not even sure what I had ordered or been charged for. I located the company on line and found I would have to dial a different number during M-F hours to inquire about the order. I tried that number several times throughout the day to CANCEL the order but all the customer service reps are assisting other callers. I then emailed their customer service to cancel the order and told them I had already called my credit card company to stop payment on this order. Two days later I received a reply that my email came too late to stop the order and to just refuse it when it arrived. Unfortunately I followed their instructions and now have no record that I refused the order. My credit card company can't reach them by phone (of course) and reportedly the auger company didn't receive the refused item. Since the company is obviously shady in the first place, it doesn't surprise me in the least that they would lie about not getting their shipment back. So I will continue to protest the charges through my credit card company. When I googled this company today, I see they have ripped off many other customers. I hope we can get it shut down or sue it out of existence. Update 71708 After twice having my credit card charge reversed, Auger found the returned shipment so credited my credit card less the agregious shipping charges. So we fight on. Man, what a bunch of crooks!

I tried ordering one(1) awesome auger, which in the end shows that I placed an order for two(2), with shipping chargesof $65. making a grand total of $105.70 being charged to my credit card. Several attempts to call customer service and e-mails to no avail, leave me the result of all others who have been SCAMMED!

My husband ordered the awsome auger expecting to get (4) tools including the extender and drill. When we received the product it only included the extender and auger. No drill or additional free tools. Instead of the one we ordered we got (3) of these plus extra charges and postage and handling for a total of $76.70. We spent a week trying to call customer service and were either hung up on or placed on hold. Finally we reached customer service after being on hold for almost an hour and were told that the advertised items were not included and we would not be receiving the additional tools and the drill. I would rate this item a 0. These folks are a fraud and give the word customer service a bad name. Do not order this product you will be very, very dissappointed. Not worth sending back as you will be throwing good money after bad paying for additional shipping and handling. Very, very bad company to do business with.

I ordered 2 sets of everything awsome auger had to offer, over 2 mos. ago. Tried to contact them every which way even e-mail order questions several times. I paid by credit card and it has been taken out of my account. I want to know if I am not going to receive my order, how do I get my money back! There is no human voice to talk to in that company I have ordered many other things from this Mayes character with no problems. This however has cost me the most money! Thanks for listening Barbara

I also have the same problem as the other folks are writing about. I got two augers no extender and nothing but a run around. They are crooks and I hope they burn in hell.

It was a scam! I wish I had visited this website first. The moment I called and listened to the long recording phone order service, I wanted to stop. But they made it like no turning back. Then I called and e-mailed many many times right away, I was told it's been processed, there's no cancelling order. So, I got my two piece of no-use metal for almost $30. Nothing else! Can we sue this company and the spokesperson?

I wanted to investigate the awesome auger. To do that I had to press the order button and give them my credit card number. I thought I would be able to cancel the order at the end if I did not like what I saw. I didn't even go to the end. When the bill came to over $70 I just exited the program. About 6 weeks later I received the auger and all the accessories. I was outraged. I didn't think I ordered the product. Since it was here, I thought I would try it out. It did not work! It was slow and wobbly. I followed the return instructions and sent it back. I tried calling but never got through and they do not put you on hold till a customer service rep is available. So I finally found an e-mail address. I notified them that I did not order the item. I got a standard reply and sent them another e-mail threating to contact the Consumer Protection Agency. I then got a call and was told that I ordered the item. I stated that I never ordered that way before. That all the companies have a submit button and then you get a confirmation e-mail. She told me all businesses operate differently and that I should have called them for a confirmation number in order to get my total money back. All I received was the $19.95. Everything else is sold FREE, just pay shipping and handling (which of course they do not cover on returned items). So my shipping and handling amounted to over $50. Nice profit for them! I urge everyone to contact the Consumer Protection Agency so we can get scams like this off the air. What a rip off!!!!!

You people can take up for the Awesome Auger and call us dumb for not reading the fine print all you want to but the bottom line is, I ordered the Awesome Auger with free drill, free extender and all the other stuff to make my yard work easier. Like the man said on TV. Then I was offered another one for 14.00 . So I decided to order two for birthday presents. I saw the shipping cost and yes I thought it was a little high but I wanted them. After the total came up to $132.00 I changed my mind. I can hire someone for that. I canceled my order. I wrote to them 3 times. They sent it anyway. All I got for $132.00 was a drill and two little augers. I want the world to know what a rip off these people are.

We saw the ad on TV by Billy Mays for an AWESOME AUGER (a power drill, a set of 3 augers and an extender) for $19.95 plus shipping and handling. Sounded like a good deal. WRONG!!! We ordered the set as advertised and after a long time we received only 2 small augers each about a foot long for which we were charged a total of $28.90. After several attempts to reach customer service and long periods of waiting on the phone to no avail I finally got a person who just kept repeating that I got what I ordered. If I wanted the free items I would have to pay an additional shipping and handling charge of $7.95 each. Now, I believe I would be completely stupid to send them any more money. They will not pay to return it. It is a RIP-OFF!!! I will try my best to get the word out not to buy from this outfit again. Billy Mays is apparently involved in deceptive advertising! Please do not be taken in by him. It is all a misrepresentation. They make it sound like something it is not and you get nothing in return but high blood pressure when having to listen to them keep repeating that I did not order the free items when indeed I ordered what they advertised on TV. Again, don't be taken in like we were.

I ordered and recieved Two as advertised on TV by Billy Mays awesome augers. I thought this would be a great gift for my dad and with a special deal on the second I even ordered one for my self. First of all I was real disappointed when the drill that was advertised to come with it for the shipping did not come. There was not enough time before Fathers day to wait on it so I went and purchased one . Secondly, just this week my dad told me that the extension shaft didn't come with either. Now I ask what kind of campaign are you guys running. I totally trusted you to help me out with a fathers day gift and you have let me down. Do you really think I will trust Billy Mays again. Last but not least when I called Customer Service all they could say was that it was my fault because I didn't check some box. Really people! The advertisement assured that everything would be included. Now with the extension shaft the whole ting is really not worth anything unless we want to get on our hands and knees. Could really use the extension shafts so that my gift to my Dad won't seem so worthless Billy
