I ordered Bare Minerals from the infomercial about 4 years ago and reccomend the product but only when purchased in stores. The info order I placed signed me up for the "club" which had too-frequent deliveries which were bothersome to re-set. The regular club delivieries were significantly smaller sizes of the product. You really have to follow instructions to get the best out of this product: if you're oily, mineral veil both before and after regular application.

I wanted to try this product because they said it was actually good for your face. I was tired of liquid foundation clogging my pores so I ordered Bare Minerals online. Through their website. BIG mistake. The makeup was fine, I liked it immediately. Well, the next month rolled around and another shipment came. I thought it was odd that they shipped it to me without me ordering it. Turns out I was enrolled in some sort of membership club, without my knowledge, and they charged my card...also without my knowledge. The first month it happened, I was dumb enough to say "ok, I like the product, I'll keep using it" but then they started sending me all kinds of things by mail (that I did NOT order) and charging my card. When I called to cancel (cancel something I didn't enroll myself in to begin with) the woman was rude, kept trying to sell me things, told me what OTHER clubs I could join and trying to talk me into different payment plans as well. I was pissed. The makeup is fine, if used correctly. You constantly have to clean the brushes or they'll get clogged and cause your face to look caked on. That may be with any powder you foundation though. My advise is, if you want to try the product, order through []. That way you can order what you WANT instead of what the company wants to stick you with.

I have been using Bare Minerals For about 2 Years. We got it through the whole [] thing. At first i didn't like the coverage but i kept practicing and eventually made it look DECENT. i speant so much on it i felt like i had to use it all. It was never ecompletley even. After a while i noticed it strated to burn after i put it on, expecially in heat. Then my skin would be all irritated, red, and dry when i took it off. I dont know if it was the rough bristles on the brush(i actually have one super soft one tho, i use the rough one for blush) or the actual makeup. I Started developing pimple like bumps around my mouth and nose(laugh line) when i woke up in the morning. I initially thought it was bed bugs, but when i googled my symptoms a bare minerals forum popped up. They had similar and much much worse symptoms than me even lifetime scaring). So i got i idea I went back to my old Clinique makeup and apply it lightly so theres something between my skin and the BM. Then i go over just a little with the BM foundation,, mineral veil(i love!) and the warmth(some days it looks great somedays it look like smeared dirt, i dunno), and it looks great, all it needs is a little boost from another product lol. My old makeup wasnt suiting me but together their great. Also a tip is inbetween each product wipe your face with your hads(gets dirty) or with toilet paper lightly to get the dusty effect off. and it looks more natural. The only problem i have is we ordered thru [] and they added us to the membership. Before i was out of the old they sent new, before i got the time to set shipping at farther increments BOOM another one! Then my mom was in the hospital (cancer) so there went another 9 months i was distracted. not to mention they were sending my mom a shippment every 3 months that she of course couldnt use. Throughout this time we would come home and a random BM package would come in the mail. WTF it like $90 worth of eyeshadow and bags and lotions, automatically charged!(apparently we didnt know they would send random products only what we orderd) Since me and my mom both had memberships every other week one of us would get something and then the same thing came again. Charging, charging, charging. My mom pays for this stuff so we just couldnt handle them at that time. Now we have like 20 foundations kits and $400 worth of eyeshaddow samples, brushes, lotion, and crappy facewash that burns ur face. I'm about to delete my membership now (finally) hopefully they wont give me problems like everyone else. Someday when i run out i will deffinatly order it from [] or local retailers, i had no idea they had bigger sizes!! Anyways this product is deffinatly not for everyone, and u really have to work with it! and dont ever join the membership its a complete rip off!

I bought bare minerals at their actual store...very expensive yes. after i used it i went about cleaning my house when i felt a tingling itchy feeling along my upper forehead. thats when i realized that this stuff burns when it mixes with sweat...and then it goes into the scrape marks the brush left behind. i tried it another day and i looked at my face in the car mirror and almost cried because it caked up into my fine little lines in my eyes and stuff and then when it mixed with my pily skin, it just melted off. this stuff is a mess too...when i wore it, everytime i spoke on my cell phone, it would be smeared all over the keypad...this stuff is gross. then i went and bought [] mineral powder and it worked 100 times better!

I am an african american female with a somewhat golden complexion. I have scarring and marks on my skin which are very dark compared to my actual skin color. I went to the bare minerals store and they attempted to show me how their concealer and foundation works. Well it didn't work at all. All the while she's dabbing and brushing on my face when she was done nothing was different. Every black spot was as visible as nothing was done. Then another expert came over and she recommended to remove the concealer and just try the foundation just heavier brush for coverage. And still nothing. It looked just like they put some pressed powder on my face and nothing else. I don't recommend this product for fair complexioned black women with dark scarring because bare minerals will do nothing. One of my coworkers loves the product but she is dark and her discoloration is not as noticable. Her bare minerals looks fine but is a little ashy. So the bottom line is that it just doesn't work for everyone especially those with problem skin.

I have 2 kids and I am a skin cancer survivor with a high risk of getting it again, I wanted just wanted that swirl tap and buff away takes no time at all make up with that natural sunscreen. Thats not what I got at all! It does eventually cover but its a long process. With many "coats". It does look great when its over but my face hurts so much from using the brush it just stings all day. The bristles fall out, I have tried washing them to soften them nothing has worked. Also I don't have very oily skin but I do have to apply the mineral veil quite often, only to discover that my hard work was all in vain bec it is now not covering my dark circles and unevenness at all anymore. There is still.. some sort of layer but it's pretty useless. I am just tired of my face feeling like its being scratched after a LONG process, and its not worth it. I am in my 20's and my dermatologist said the the brush is actually making scratch like wrinkle like scars on my face, not really visible to people now, but may so if I continue it. I also had a problem with cancelling my membership to the club. I kept canncelling but I kept being double charged and also receiving items. So much so that my husband thought I was lying when I told him I HAD cancelled it I had no idea why they kept charging us with these "double charges". I had to call right in front of him, for the 5th time so he could see for himself. He was STUNNED when I was still receiving the make up and being charged. You have to pay to send it back too! So I would just keep it out of hassle. Now I am stuck with a TON of makeup I can't use. Not worth the money and if they don't fix those damn brushes, long term damage to you skin. I'll put it like my dermatologist told me, we all know popping pimples causes scarring, the brushes are doing the same thing just at a slower rate. It's ridiculous.

After wanting this product for a while I finally decided to try it. I had no problem ordering or anything like that, but the make up did nothing!! No coverage at all!! After attempting to apply several "coats" I still looked like I had nothing on...and not in the way they promised! 70 dollars is way to much to pay for more work that regular make up.

I have very sensitive skin. The infomercial states this product is wonderful for "all" skin types especially sensitive skin. The coverage of the product is very good which makes the fact that the product made my skin itch, burn, and break out, even worse. My face got so irritated I wanted to literally claw my face off when I put it on. My face turned red, swelled up, and was extremely irritated!! I am disappointed because of the money I spent on the product that is sworn to be hypoallergenic and wonderful for sensitive skin. I have read of many complaints just like mine. There are alot of people who are having some kind of reaction to this makeup and there should be some kind of warning with it.

After watching the ad on TV a billion times, I gave in and ordered. The order entry gal that took my order was horrible. She yawned and coughed all the way through the order. Since the first thing you give them is all your personal info, I felt I had to continue cause she already had my credit card information. The next day I felt so uneasy that I tried to cancel the order. Every time I contacted them, they said they had no order details for me. But it was already too late, I would recieve the items, and I was simply to mark, return to sender and I would get a refund on my card. Well if they cannot find my account, how could anything even be shipped? I highly doubt they ship on Sundays anyhow. Finally 4 days later, I spoke to another customer service rep and she found my account. She too said it was too late, the package was leaving within in moments (yeah right) and to simply return to sender and I would get a refund. The package still has not arrived. They had a pending charge on my account for a $1.00 that tells me they are getting ready NOW to charge me and ship. Geeze, they could of cancelled this days ago, they just refuse too. Horrible order takers and horrible customer service. ALthough customer service was more professional than the order taker, they are all a bunch of scam artists there. I don't understand how they can make money with that kind of service.

I have very sensitive skin, and since bare minerals said it was good for sensitive skin I thought I would give it a try. My skin broke out within an hour of putting it on, and the warmth just made my fair skin look streaked with a bad self tanner. The powder's felt cakey and like I was wearing a mask. If you need something for sensitive skin, I recommend Bobbi Brown products...they are great.

I absolutely love the product but an cancelling my 2 standing orders--one for me and one for my daughter. They shipped to the wrong address and refuse to make it right. I've contacted every email addres on their site but keep getting the runaround. All i want is the order to ship as I set it up (the first one did ship corectly) and a call tag to return what shipped to the wrong party. I've spent over $350 on these products and really like them, but I can't put up with the CS. No wonder companies move their customer service to 3rd world countries!

I had watched the infomercials and finally succumbed. I ordered my kit. It arrived without incident. I used it for probably a week before my face swelled up and I had broke out with all these vesicles (tiny blisters). When I called they assured me that this has never happened before. (Yea, right). However I did receive a prompt refund. My complaint is that this product is anything but all natural and hypoallergenic. They are treading on dangerous ground.

I was excited when the product first arrived. I had no problems with billing or anything else, other than the amazing coverage which I did not get. It covers okay and I love Mineral Veil, but my rosecea, it doesn`t really cover as well as promised. A little dissapointing. It also comes off when you sweat.

I have been using Bare Minerals for a year. I love it! However, DO NOT ORDER ONLINE. You'll get caught on scams, clubs, etc. Go to a store a buy it. Then you can get color matched by a professional makeup artist. I buy all my bareminerals at [] or []. Every time I go to that store, they tell me that bareminerals is always their top seller.

I am a professional makeup artist, and I use Bare Minerals for my own Personal use. It is a good product, but there are a few things you need to know to get the most out of it. Wash the brushes often with ivory soap and cold water. Every time you wash the brushes, the softer they get, and they break less. This makeup works better with oily skin, use a moisturiser every time you apply it. Evian and a few other companies sell water misters for the face, this is a great way to set the product and take away that "powder" look that can happen if you use too much.

On January 15, 2006, I placed my first-time order with Bare Minerals. I bank online as most do these days, so on the 17th, I checked my credit card and saw where Bare Minerals hit my account for the amount ordered. No problem, I thought, I should be getting my products within the next 2 weeks. By the first of Febuary, nothing arrived, so I called customer support and was told that orders were on back order and not shipped yet. Another week went by and still my products had not been sent. It was getting to the end of Feb. and none of the products that I had already paid for were sent. I therefore contacted them again and asked to have my order cancelled and my money restored to my credit card. It was then That I was told that they don't do that, I would have to wait to get the product and then send it back to get my money back. To make a long story short, I had to get the Better Business Bereau involved before Bare Minerals finally reimburst me my money. All the while, they kept saying that they had done nothing wrong!!! By the way, the BBB told me that they had many complaints as to the same practices against Bare Minerals.

I've been using bare minerals for almost 2 years and I am happy with how it makes my skin tone even. The concealer brush is great too. The major bone I have to pick is that the kabuki brushes aren't very good. Sure, they provide great coverage, but the bristles become very brittle after a while and fall everywhere. Also, if I brush too close to my eyes, the little brush bristles fall into my eyes and it hurts. The bristles also become stiff after a while and tends to rub my skin and my face begins to flake. Definitely put on a moisturizer (i use clinique moisutirizing GEL) before applying the powders. Also, wash your brushes often. This will help the stiffness and make your brushes feel soft like when you first bought them. Also, keep in mind that if you buy the starter kit (either by phone or bare minerals website), your make up portions will be small. But, if you buy it from a store (like [] or []) either in person or on their website, then the make up portion is much larger. Of course, the starter kit is a good deal since they are giving you a couple of shades of powder, Warmth, Mineral Veil, and 2 brushes. Just keep in mind that your portions will be smaller than what was seen on TV. I bought my starter kit on the bare minerals website, cancelled the automatic club shipment, and continued to buy the rest of my bare minerals at []. Bare Minerals's auto shipment will send you your make up WAY too fast. These powders last me for a LONG time before you need to buy a new one. So don't apply for the auto shipment. Cancel it ASAP and just order it from [] in individual containers. This is much less hassle and you don't have to deal with customer service :) One more thing: the powders get messy. Put down an old rag where you normally do your make up to avoid the powder staining any of your furniture and carpet. It is washable, but who wants to scrub a carpet all the time? All in all this make up looks wonderful on people and I like the way it makes me look. It lasts me all day and I have oily skin.

They advertise: "The coverage is flawless, free of preservatives, talc, oil, waxes, fragrances and other chemicals that can irritate skin and cause breakouts." It is a lie b/c many women are having horrible reactions like myself. I wanted to scratch off my face b/c of irritation. I washed it off & my face stayed red, irritated, and I broke out. I did my research and found out there are many synthetic ingredients in Bare Minerals and some other mineral make-ups....Here is the list of the most irritating ingredients. []

My boyfriend's mother bought me an introductory kit from [] for my birthday. It does okay for what it is. I have acne scarring and uneven tone; Bare Minerals covers them better than most other make-up. It just doesn't last long. A few hours, and it's time to reapply. And "Warmth?" I don't think so. It just looks like brown streaks, no matter how little you use OR how much you "Swirl, Tap & Buff!" And the mess! Good luck getting the stuff out of pillowcases, clothes, towels, even off of hard surfaces like my solid cherry vanity. "Mineral Veil" is good; it works well on it's own and with other make-up. And I will gladly admit that my skin has cleared up considerably since I started using the system. The kabuki brush that came with the kit started losing bristles the second or third time I used it. My overall feelings on the product are mixed. It covers well, even if it doesn't cover very long. "Warmth" is best left to the brave and the professional. No woman should leave home without "Mineral Veil." I could do without it. I'm just glad now that it wasn't MY money that was wasted on it.
