I ordered the Bender Ball over a month ago. It finally came a few days ago. Ordering it screamed SCAM because I had to sit on the phone for almost 20 mins, while I answered "NO" to all their attempts to sell me other stuff -- DVDs, pills, even a magazine subscription!!! I just kept hitting no -- no -- no -- NO DAMMIT!!!! And so far, I haven't seen anything else show up on my card statement. But I am watching now thanks to this website!!! I am very unimpressed with the ball. It did come with some DVDS -- they're ok. My personal trainer works me harder. All in all, this whole thing is really nothing but a giant SCAM, and I am SICK OF THE COMMERCIALS running on TV 24/7. Seriously. Can this stop now?? Please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I ordered the bender ball back in January, I too did not receive it until March. When I finally got it, I also received some energy boost pills and a very cheesy dvd. About a month later I was charged 26.98 for more "pills" (this was April 14) I called customer services and cancelled, I told the girl on the phone, I didn't want any more pills or dvd's. Then last week I was charged $43.93 for some more dvd's. I called customer service again, some girl gave me the run around, I asked to speak to her supervisor. Of course she was in a meeting, I ended up hanging up on her and calling back, this time I got a man, he assured me that my order was cancelled and I would not receive any more charges of any kid. Today, I check my account and find out I am charged $19.99 (and I still haven't received what I was charged for last week) this guy tells me that I am being charged the other half of the stupid pills from back in April, he assures me now that I will not be charged for anything else, but I am cancelling my card anyways which is going to cost me $10.00 w/my bank. I would rather pay that than deal with this company that has the worst customer service I have ever dealt with. It makes me not even want to use my ball I am so angry with this company. I wish I would have found this web site before I ordered.

The Bender Ball is a scam! Do not buy the product. I wish I would have found this page prior to deciding to try out the product. I am still in negotiations with Bender Ball to recieve refunds for all the ridiculous extra and unauthorized charges to my credit card. The product is NOT worth the hassle. You could get the same type of ball from Walgreens for half the price and none of the hassle. I do not reccommend this product to anyone - not only because it is poorly made but mostly due to the fact that they scam you for more money by charging your credit card at least 20.00 every other month. Its NOT worth it!

The last conclusion, I promise. I ended up contacting the Better Business Bureau. Since then, I have received a full refund for the extra ball that I did not order. I would advise everyone to do this. It worked.

As with others, I checked NO to any additional products, but was charged $30.86 a month after having the product, which is just a cheap ball you can get at a 99 cent store. I had to cancel my debit card so they do not continue to charge my account even after customer service says the charges will no longer show up. Very DECEPTIVE business practice.

I finally got the benderball after i waited for a long time. Piece of junk. I felt nothing from it, just use your body ball...so much more effective. I used the benderball one time...and i gave it to my 6 year old to use. I called the day I got it and cancelled and made sure it was cvancelled. Last week I recieved another package. Outraged I called and asked why. She said because i never cancelled. I disputed and then she "found" where i did indeed call and said she would cancell AGAIN!!! Was charged 30 dollars for a flimsy non resistant band and two more generic videos. SCAM!!! Do noty buy this product!

My daughter called and ordered 2 bender balls for the 9.99 each and it was surpossed to come with dvd's set with each. I only rec. 1 ball with 1 dvd not the 2 other dvd;s and not the other ball. Then they charged me over 50.00 dollars. i called and complained and said I wanted my money back. They promised they would send me 2 complete bender ball sets. That was about a month ago. I have called a fwew other times and have yet to get my money back or the bender ball and the sets. I think someone should investigate this scam. thanks.

I order the original Bender Ball, was charged for the product, received it and have used. I came home today received unordered products and my credit card has been charged for these products. Isn't it against the law to charge a persons credit card without their permission or an order? Be aware that if you order one product you may get something you do not want or need and you will be charged for it.

My daughter ordered the Bender Ball as seen on TV. She likes it as a product - but now, a month later the charged her card again -but this time a higher amount. No answer when I called the customer service. After reading the other complaints I too believe this is a SCAM...will cancel her card immediately so they can no longer charge.

About 2 weeks ago - I tried to order the Bender Ball Ab System.<br /> I actually wanted to order ( 2 )<br /> one for a friend, who also liked the commercial.<br /> It looked great on t.v. & I am a Fitness Fanatic. Upon ordering I had to " wade thru " endless <br /> amounts of " automated menu's "<br /> It was just so frustrating . . .<br /> and just when you thought that you were done . . . they hit you with " all these additional offers " ( that you do not have a chance to accept, or reject ).<br /> It was THE WORST !!! I would not recommend it. After my experience & reading other testimonials - I have to say that they must be true & accurate. STAY AWAY !!!

I ordered the bender ball about 3 months ago, however i only got it last month; thats how long it took. I checked my credit card statement today and they charged me another 30 dollars. I called them and told them if it wasnt off by next week i was going to call my credit card comapny and charge them for fraud..reading everyones complaints seems like this is an ongoing thing and i think if we all complain something can be done about it

The ball is advertised on TV for $9.99. I ordered over the phone it took 22 minutes all automated no total amount given. My credit card was charged $60.77 for one ball!!! I sent it back ASAP and I was refunded $28.10, I called their Customer Service number and was told the $32.76 was shipping from Van Nuys, CA, 19 miles from where I live. This is a scam, there automated system is a rip-off. Don't order this unless you have money to burn.

My husband originally ordered the product for me on 4/10/08 however we never received the product. On 4/25/08 my husband contacted company to cancel the order. However they charged my card on the two following occasions after the cancellation was requested:<br /> <br /> 4/28/08 $20.91<br /> 4/29/08 $26.98<br /> <br /> On 5/7/08 we phoned the company again (1-800-601-7088-they refuse to give their names) and insisted that they cancel any and/or all pending orders. We also insisted that all previous charges be reversed since we had already canceled the order on 4/25/08 and did not receive any product. The nameless representative then explained that the order was canceled but that the charges will not be reversed because these correspond to shipping and handling. This makes absolutely no sense that I would be charged for just shipping and handling, especially for a product that was never shipped and because the order was canceled before these charges occurred.<br /> <br /> I had to pay $20 to cancel my debit card today. So now I have been charged $67.89 for something I never even received.<br /> <br /> I have filed a complaint to the Better Business Bureau.

I bought the Bender Ball back in January and thought the product itself was alright (with the exception of poorly done DVD's)...however within a few more weeks I started receiving more product (DVD's etc)and my credit card was being billed. Now it has been billed an additional $60.00 on top of the already nearly $30.00. I called to complain and they said I could return with product and they would credit my account. I did so and I was credited with just $20.00 of the $60.00. I now have to change my credit card # so they no longer have access to my account. I do not recommend this at all. Their phone service is horrible and I could barely understand the person on the other end. The Bender Ball is a SCAM!!

5/6/2008 - Melissa writes:
The conclusion to my previous post: <br /> <br /> After reading through some of these complaints, I figured it was best to cancel my credit card so I will not incur more false charges as a result of ordering this product. <br />

About a month ago I called to order the bender ball. Let me just say that I never got a human being on the phone, it was an automated service. I was asked for 15 minutes did I want to buy and sign up for several products. I kept saying no. The automated "lady" wouldn't take no for an answer. I finally got frustrated and hung up. I checked my bank account to see if the order went through. Sure enough they took money out, but it was double the amount of what the cost should have been. I called and told them that I ordered one bender ball and that I didn't want any other product or service and to refund the extra money they took out of my account. I never heard back, but received my bender ball(s) that week. They shipped me two instead of one. I called today to return the extra one that I did not order. The customer service person now refuses to refund the full amount and will only refund the cost of the ball. I have to pay for shipping cost on something that I did not order. I told her I refused to do that and to have a supervisor call me. She said they will only call me if it is necessary. What kind of customer service is this? How dare they treat people this way. <br /> <br />

Ordered it on 2/26/2008, was charged and shipped on 3/23/2008 for 20.91. Then again on 5/1 my card is charged -this time for 29.98. I called & they said it is automatically charged and there is some notice on their web page when you order. I didn't recall ever having any option to purchase anything exra. Now I understand why their work out dvd was so crappy & sparse including only a couple of minutes of sample exercises- because it is just an "introduction"... the real sale is the videos that the autoship and autobill. I called & demanded a refund, I am also disputing the chargesd with the credit card that I used. What a scam. You can buy a small workout ball from any sporting goods store for around $10. Don't buy this, it is a scam.

I ordered the Bender Ball at the end of January as part of the ever so present New Year's resolution. I got the actual product near the end of March. The ball itself wasn't much - not holding air properly. Also, I paid about $22.00 as opposed to the $9.99 that they advertise.<br /> <br /> I finally got the product and thought that it was over until tonight when I looked over my bank statement. $26.98 for Bender Ball E-boost. What? I hadn't gotten anything so I called immediately. The man on the phone was very short with me and informed me that I would need to return the ???What? I don't know - within 30 days to get a partial refund. I said that I wanted to speak with a manager - that I should have the full amount refunded for something that I did not want. He told me that I was responsible for the $7 in S&H. I asked if I got this straight - "You are charging me for something that I never asked for or wanted?" Oh contrare, I hadn't read everything that came with the ball that told me that I needed to cancel my automatic shipments by phone within 30 days. Silly me. So, I am out $7 already and I fear more. I just want it to be over.

I received the Bender Ball and was charged $10 more than I should've been charged, which was $10. The package was missing several key parts, therefore I can't even use the ball. After reading about the automatic charges people are experiencing, I decided to report my card number as stolen and receive a new number so nothing else can be charged on the old card. I guess I learned my lesson!
