I am reading all the complaints on this blog and I, too, was charged extra for product I had neither requested nor received. I registered a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, as the phone number Bender Ball gives for customer is not usable. Well, the BBB got with the parent company and my dispute was quickly settled. A nice representative called and settled the dispute to my satisfaction. I did suggest to her, though, to be upfront in their advertising claims and not to have nearly "hidden" contractual agreements and additional charges. She agreed and stated they are reviewing their processes. My advice is to register a complaint with the very reliable Better Business Bureau. They can do something about bad business practices if they know about them.

I ordered the product online but hadn't started using it yet. I did not know that purchasing it enrolled me in a monthly shipment program. Bad form from the get go. Then, when I called to cancel the program after I saw an additional charge to my account, I was told that the charge would be reversed and that my account was cancelled (I was given a cancellation number, which is apparently irrelevant). The shipment had not gone out and that the charges would be credited. Two weeks later the shipment arrived at my house. When I called again, I was given a return authorization number and was told that my account wouldn't be credited for another 7-10 days after the shipment was received BACK at the warehouse. That means that additional charges won't be credited for at least 30 days after I asked them to be reversed. I am very dissatisfied and disappointed with the questionable business practices of this company.

I had made the order on 01/27/2008 ,I was never told the total price of my oder. When I called about the order I was told that the payment was not taken out of my account, then I was told that my order had shipped a few days later.I kept calling and they told me that it was too late too cancell ,so they told me that it was on it's way, so as of 02/20/2008 I still have not received the product I was charged $111.00 for this and they wont give my money back until they have the return product.

I was going to order the Bender Ball today actually. So I went online and googled the product; once I found the site I clicked on "place order here." This prompted me to a screen collecting all of my information. Now I notice in order to get the dvd the price had been jacked higher, but I said "ok." $12.95 isn't really that much, so I proceeded. Before I put in my credit card information I started reading the fine print and it stated that after 30-days I will receive two dvds every other month and they will cost me $30 dollars plus a fee of $10 for shipping and handling. I, then, began to search around the screen to see if there is anyway I could decline this offer and it wasn't. After that I started calling the 1-800 number ~ automated ~ no person to person help. I went back on line saw another site for the Bender Ball and another number ~ samething ~ automated! Found another site ~ AUTOMATED! What's worse is they will take your order over the phone but they don't tell you about the additional charges you will incurr later.

I know something about this Bender Ball. You will continously receive DVD's after your initial order. It's so hard but if you will just learn to read each and every information, you will not be charged automatically. What's wrong with us customers are we didn't read each information before placing the order. We're just thingking of the advantages that it can give us not thinking about that it is a trap for something we don't like. Hope it's a lesson for us.

SCAM! I mistakenly purchased the Bender Ball product. It is not at all like the infomercials report. Worse they tie you into a continuations program sending you products monthly. When I made the purchase, they did not tell you this on informercial nor website. Instead you were bound by contract upon opening the box and the program fine print language on the BACK of your invoice. Since then they make a small comment of the program on checkout. They say you can cancel at anytime the continuation program, but from my experience that is not the case. Well you can, but not without one final shipment being processed, which they do not tell you until you receive the order. Turns out their process time is 25 days. Since Nov 2007, I have been trying to get a refund for the return product, as well as, the additional shipments I have refused. I had to cancel my credit card to stop further charges. I have sent emails (benderball@webcsr.info), faxes (818.442.0186), and spent hours on the phone with Customer Services (800.601.7088) with no success. They keep telling me a refund has been requested, and it will take 7-10 business days to process. It's been 91 days.

Same result as Peg below. Product not yet shipped, but "in process", so "impossible" to stop it from going out. If my address was wrong, that they would be able to communicate to the warehouse, but they can't communicate a cancellation to them. Amazing they can issue an RMA number BEFORE product has shipped (revenue reporting, Sarbanes-Oxley violations??). Also, interesting to note that no one has posted a defense of this product in 5 months....just sayin'

THis product sucks!! This is by far the worst customer service I have ever come across. Not only can you not understand a word any of their employees say, they keep charging your account ridiculous fees ($43.97, $26, etc.). My experience was especially bad because I used my credit card to buy Christmas present and brought the card to its limit. Not only did they charge me $43 when I had already cancelled the product, it took me over my limit and i was charged a $39 fee because it put me over my spending limit. I have threatened to take legal action against this company and everyone else they have screwed over should too!!!

Wow, what can I say? When I saw this website with tons of complaints I knew I had gotten got. December of 2007 is when I ordered this product. First of all, it says $9.99 plus shipping. Ok, that's fine. That should've only came out to $15. Ha, yeah right. They advertise this "FREE" product which are the pills. But then once you complete the order oh, what happened to your under $20 order? It is now almost $30. Ok, whatever. Maybe the pills help... weeks later, you're billed with a $43 charge for something you did not even ask for. Come on benderball. U have all these people purchasing this damn dumb green ball and you're constantly ripping them off? Can you say GREED and bad business? Someone needs to put them out of biz. Do [] people

I ordered the bender ball just to try it since it was only $10. I decided to pay the rush shipping figuring i'd get it sooner. In addition to the product coming 2 weeks later (some rush huh?) I also was charged $35 total for a $10 ball. me and my mother have written several e-mails to them to request shipping back. As I was checking my bank statement online I just realized I was charged ANOTHER $27.98 making this product that was supposedly $10 almost $60. I DID NOT sign up for the monthly whatever it was. I AM furious and I want my credit card info. OFF of their system. I hope to be re-imbursed ALL of my money, I hope everyone else that was sucked in is too!

Well, my story with ordering the Bender Ball isn't as bad. BUT...I ordered the DVD combo special ($39.99) from the site on 2/11/08. I selected RUSH shipping for $14.99 (3-5 business days). Two days later, I received an auto email saying my order was just received at the warehouse and would be processed (I assumed shipped out) within 24 hours and to expect an email when it does. By Friday, I had no confirmation shipping email or charge to my debit card yet. I tried to "track" my order as they instructed by using my phone number or Name/Zip code. The tracking feature is bogus...doesn't work. That's when I got real suspicious. I mean, 3-5 business days should have shipped out by Friday the latest when you order on a Monday!! I immediately called my bank and cancelled my debit card so nothing could EVER be charged by Bender Ball. This is a total scam!

I ordered the Bender Ball and DVD off the web (I used my cell phone so the screen was extremely small which made the fine print illegible). The product was okay - nothing to write home about. But a month later as I was balancing my checkbook online, I discovered an additional charge from Bender Ball for $43. When I looked into the charge, I discovered my purchase included participation in an auto shipment program. When I looked at the site on my desktop, I saw where the fine print informed of that and noticed there was no way to order the product without getting in the auto ship program. A call to customer service did result in the promise to refund the cost of the product once it was returned but they were pretty adament they would not refund my shipping costs. Pretty underhanded business practice if not outright fraud. With over 100 complaints there is obviously something not right with their way of doing business. My recommendation is that we all write a letter of complaint to the BBB and to the Attorney General of CA where Bender Ball does business. Perhaps some law firm would like to do a class action suit - those of us who got taken won't get much money but at least we'd have the satisfaction of seeing this company pay for their greed and deceitfulness.

This morning, I went online to do my banking when I noticed a chanrge from Bender Ball for $26.98. Not having ordered anything from them recently, I called Bender Ball customer service. I spoke to a gentleman named Luke, who informed me that I had registered for a monthly video when I ordered my Bender Ball in January, which I did receive. I told him that I had not done any such thing - all I ordered was the Bender Ball. I also told him that there was NO information at all regarding becoming part of an ongoing program. I demanded a refund immediately - was told that the order was in process and could not be stopped. Luke did however, tell me that he placed a "stop" to the monthly video club and gave me an RMA# to return the video I would be receiving. This is such a CROCK of you know what! I can't believe that a business can be allowed to get away with this! Let alone, the woman who hacks this product would allow something like this to go on! When ordering the Bender Ball, I also DID NOT give permission for any of my credit card information to be saved - what a violation in privacy!!! This is scary - this can lead to ID theft! I am going to report them to my local better business bureau. If there is anywhere else I can complain to, believe I would be happy to share this awful ripoff!

hello, as with everyone else, i was a candidate for the scam. after i saw the commercial advertising the bender ball on t.v., i immediately went to order the product, but my sister said, lets just go to the web-site. i said i would pay for it because my sister helps me out a lot and i felt i could do something that would benefit her just as well as myself.(we both talk about doing excercising and toning our middle area. anyway, my sister went on line and ordered the ball, and gave my debit card number. she reclined the other stuff( about 30 items)but then she said "dam, they didn't even ask where to send the merchandise. I said what. i jumped out of the chair (i was looking at a good movie on lifetime) and pick up the telephone to call these folks. i then got a recording. i proceeded to call them again, hoping to speak to a voice, but to no avail. my sister proceeded to check the website, and law and behold, we saw complaint after complaint after complaint. i immediately called my bank and the balance was the same as yesterday. i walked to the nearest atm and got my got derm money out, and i am going to call my bank tomorrow and have my card canceled. we then went to the web-sight of the better business bureau, and found that this bender ball scam company has a raing of "D". do you hear me. a "D". I flew to the bank and withdrew my money. I advise anyong who has done business with this company to cancel whatever debit or credit card they used with this company, for who's to say that they will not charge your account again in the future. another lesson learned: before you order items from tv or the internet, check their "BBB" rating. If it is a "D", just as this bender ball scam is, forget about it. Our legislature truly needs to to something about this, and this does not need to be voted on. it just needs to happen. angela

Listen guys... I tried to order this crap, but just like you to no avail did I ever get. It has been 3 weeks. Oh sure, I got their cardo video and vitamins. Was charged for that as well. The guy looks like a freaking geek on the video. Who wants to watch that!!! I stopped by [] and just picked up a kid's dodge ball out of the toy/athletic section. It works just the same way! AND it was only $2.68. I keep watching the infomercial on how the exercises are done. I am a smart woman, I can figure that out. Who needs the 15 minute video everyone keeps saying they are. (As if I would know, still waiting on my order) Yes, I think the method of the ball actually works after using my little dodge ball tonight. I felt the burn harder than doing my crunches on my core ball I normally do. Save yourself the trouble if you are thinking of purchasing this crap and just go to the toy/athletic section at []. toodles, and good luck to you all.

I ordered the Bender Ball on Jan 27 2008 via phone after seeing the infomercial. It looked like a great product. I actually spoke to a representative when ordering; whom I might add barely spoke English. I did not rush order delivery because typically, for smaller items, it take about 5-7 business days. Well here it is 19 days later and STILL NO Bender Ball. I did a search Bender Ball on the web today to get a number to call and complain and found this site. After reading about all the difficulties people are having, I decided not to deal with useless people, who will do nothing but give me grief, and to call my credit card company and cancelled my card. It will take 3-5 business days to get a new credit card and I can pretty much bet that I still will not see my Bender Ball. Not to mention this way they cannot charge any additional items I did not order to my account. I am sorry that so many people loss money and time dealing with these scam artists but because of your voices you save others from having to deal these SCAMMERS. –Cheers, Heather

I ordered the ball online and recieved it no problem. I found this website after I ordered but before I recieved it and thought Oh No! But I made sure to read carefully and tell each pop up no, so I thought I was in the clear. Unfortunatley, almost 8 weeks after ordering I have a charge on my account for 43.79. I called and of course they said we will cancel it this month... and I said No, cancel it forever! They said they will put in a refund "request" and it will take 7-10 days. I said that is unacceptable and her supervisor got on the phone. He was a condescending jerk. He kept saying "little girl, you obviously signed up for this continuation program" little girl... there is nothing more I can do. I asked him why then , is every customer having this problem and why do they have such a poor rating with the BBB?!! That did not make him happy and he said you signed up for this little girl. I finally was so enraged I hung up on him and called my bank and cancelled my debit card so that I KNOW this won't happen again. These people can not be trusted to do what they say.

I received my Bender Ball about a little over a month ago, and I have been using it ever since. But upon looking at my checking account activity a few days ago, I noticed that I had been charged $26.98 for something that I definitely did NOT order. So I called and talked to a customer service representative today, and she told me that it was a charge that showed up on my invoice. I honestly did NOT see anything regarding an additional charge for being a member. She also told me that 60 days from now that I would be charged an additional $19.99. I was upset and furious. This amount that they charged me had made my checking account go negative! The customer service representative informed me that they would take the $26.98 out of my account and that I would not be refunded the initial amount that I was charged and paid for the ball, and that I would have to return the ball and the two DVD's that were included, one of them was a free "gift". I not going to recommend this product to ANYONE, and I am intending to send a letter and email to the BBB. I just hope that this stupid company doesn't rip off any other people!
