I ordered the Bender Ball and DVD off the web (I used my cell phone so the screen was extremely small which made the fine print illegible). The product was okay - nothing to write home about. But a month later as I was balancing my checkbook online, I discovered an additional charge from Bender Ball for $43. When I looked into the charge, I discovered my purchase included participation in an auto shipment program. When I looked at the site on my desktop, I saw where the fine print informed of that and noticed there was no way to order the product without getting in the auto ship program. A call to customer service did result in the promise to refund the cost of the product once it was returned but they were pretty adament they would not refund my shipping costs. Pretty underhanded business practice if not outright fraud. With over 100 complaints there is obviously something not right with their way of doing business. My recommendation is that we all write a letter of complaint to the BBB and to the Attorney General of CA where Bender Ball does business. Perhaps some law firm would like to do a class action suit - those of us who got taken won't get much money but at least we'd have the satisfaction of seeing this company pay for their greed and deceitfulness.

This morning, I went online to do my banking when I noticed a chanrge from Bender Ball for $26.98. Not having ordered anything from them recently, I called Bender Ball customer service. I spoke to a gentleman named Luke, who informed me that I had registered for a monthly video when I ordered my Bender Ball in January, which I did receive. I told him that I had not done any such thing - all I ordered was the Bender Ball. I also told him that there was NO information at all regarding becoming part of an ongoing program. I demanded a refund immediately - was told that the order was in process and could not be stopped. Luke did however, tell me that he placed a "stop" to the monthly video club and gave me an RMA# to return the video I would be receiving. This is such a CROCK of you know what! I can't believe that a business can be allowed to get away with this! Let alone, the woman who hacks this product would allow something like this to go on! When ordering the Bender Ball, I also DID NOT give permission for any of my credit card information to be saved - what a violation in privacy!!! This is scary - this can lead to ID theft! I am going to report them to my local better business bureau. If there is anywhere else I can complain to, believe I would be happy to share this awful ripoff!

hello, as with everyone else, i was a candidate for the scam. after i saw the commercial advertising the bender ball on t.v., i immediately went to order the product, but my sister said, lets just go to the web-site. i said i would pay for it because my sister helps me out a lot and i felt i could do something that would benefit her just as well as myself.(we both talk about doing excercising and toning our middle area. anyway, my sister went on line and ordered the ball, and gave my debit card number. she reclined the other stuff( about 30 items)but then she said "dam, they didn't even ask where to send the merchandise. I said what. i jumped out of the chair (i was looking at a good movie on lifetime) and pick up the telephone to call these folks. i then got a recording. i proceeded to call them again, hoping to speak to a voice, but to no avail. my sister proceeded to check the website, and law and behold, we saw complaint after complaint after complaint. i immediately called my bank and the balance was the same as yesterday. i walked to the nearest atm and got my got derm money out, and i am going to call my bank tomorrow and have my card canceled. we then went to the web-sight of the better business bureau, and found that this bender ball scam company has a raing of "D". do you hear me. a "D". I flew to the bank and withdrew my money. I advise anyong who has done business with this company to cancel whatever debit or credit card they used with this company, for who's to say that they will not charge your account again in the future. another lesson learned: before you order items from tv or the internet, check their "BBB" rating. If it is a "D", just as this bender ball scam is, forget about it. Our legislature truly needs to to something about this, and this does not need to be voted on. it just needs to happen. angela

Listen guys... I tried to order this crap, but just like you to no avail did I ever get. It has been 3 weeks. Oh sure, I got their cardo video and vitamins. Was charged for that as well. The guy looks like a freaking geek on the video. Who wants to watch that!!! I stopped by [] and just picked up a kid's dodge ball out of the toy/athletic section. It works just the same way! AND it was only $2.68. I keep watching the infomercial on how the exercises are done. I am a smart woman, I can figure that out. Who needs the 15 minute video everyone keeps saying they are. (As if I would know, still waiting on my order) Yes, I think the method of the ball actually works after using my little dodge ball tonight. I felt the burn harder than doing my crunches on my core ball I normally do. Save yourself the trouble if you are thinking of purchasing this crap and just go to the toy/athletic section at []. toodles, and good luck to you all.

I ordered the Bender Ball on Jan 27 2008 via phone after seeing the infomercial. It looked like a great product. I actually spoke to a representative when ordering; whom I might add barely spoke English. I did not rush order delivery because typically, for smaller items, it take about 5-7 business days. Well here it is 19 days later and STILL NO Bender Ball. I did a search Bender Ball on the web today to get a number to call and complain and found this site. After reading about all the difficulties people are having, I decided not to deal with useless people, who will do nothing but give me grief, and to call my credit card company and cancelled my card. It will take 3-5 business days to get a new credit card and I can pretty much bet that I still will not see my Bender Ball. Not to mention this way they cannot charge any additional items I did not order to my account. I am sorry that so many people loss money and time dealing with these scam artists but because of your voices you save others from having to deal these SCAMMERS. –Cheers, Heather

I ordered the ball online and recieved it no problem. I found this website after I ordered but before I recieved it and thought Oh No! But I made sure to read carefully and tell each pop up no, so I thought I was in the clear. Unfortunatley, almost 8 weeks after ordering I have a charge on my account for 43.79. I called and of course they said we will cancel it this month... and I said No, cancel it forever! They said they will put in a refund "request" and it will take 7-10 days. I said that is unacceptable and her supervisor got on the phone. He was a condescending jerk. He kept saying "little girl, you obviously signed up for this continuation program" little girl... there is nothing more I can do. I asked him why then , is every customer having this problem and why do they have such a poor rating with the BBB?!! That did not make him happy and he said you signed up for this little girl. I finally was so enraged I hung up on him and called my bank and cancelled my debit card so that I KNOW this won't happen again. These people can not be trusted to do what they say.

I received my Bender Ball about a little over a month ago, and I have been using it ever since. But upon looking at my checking account activity a few days ago, I noticed that I had been charged $26.98 for something that I definitely did NOT order. So I called and talked to a customer service representative today, and she told me that it was a charge that showed up on my invoice. I honestly did NOT see anything regarding an additional charge for being a member. She also told me that 60 days from now that I would be charged an additional $19.99. I was upset and furious. This amount that they charged me had made my checking account go negative! The customer service representative informed me that they would take the $26.98 out of my account and that I would not be refunded the initial amount that I was charged and paid for the ball, and that I would have to return the ball and the two DVD's that were included, one of them was a free "gift". I not going to recommend this product to ANYONE, and I am intending to send a letter and email to the BBB. I just hope that this stupid company doesn't rip off any other people!

I purchased the benderball set over two weeks ago and paid for rush delivery. As of today I have received no product and I have tried to call a number that "is not valid". This is a scam. Do not buy this product, it is not worth the headache.

AS OF TODAY I HAVE ONLY RECEIVED A COUPLE OF DVD'S AND A BOTTLE OF PILLS. I HAVE CALLED EVERYDAY FOR THE LAST 2 WEEKS TO SOME CUSTOMER SERVICE COMPANY. I CAN'T GET ANY INFORMATION. I HAVE ALSO SENT E-MAILS WITH NO RESPONSE.I HAVE STILL NOT SEEN MY BALL. TODAY THEY FINALLY TOLD ME THEY WOULD GIVE ME A REFUND IF I RETURNED THE PRODUCT BUT I STILL DO NOT HAVE A BENDERBALL TO RETURN. I WILL TRY TO BE THE BBB TO HELP BUT I AM SURE THAT WILL NOT HELP. THESE PEOPLE ARE COMPLETE IDIOTS. HELP!!!

Ordered the product, and paid about 20 bucks for it. Good deal, however, two months later, all of a sudden they charge $47.50. Called them, spoke to someone in india most likely, and was adviced that when i made the purchase, i was subscribed to some recurring membership crap and that they will charge me $47.50 every other month. Since i did not sign up for it on internet, i did not expect such a surprise!. it turns out this guys put a "piece of literature" into the package that talks about this ongoing service! . I dont know about you guys, but unless they refund me NOW (which they arent willing to do) -i'm suing them! Hey, here is an idea - how about a CLASSACTION lawsuit? - Any lawyers out there? []

I have called several times to the bb customer service and I keep getting the same thing "it will take 48 hours to have a manager call you back." "There is not a manager on the floor at this time." I would like to know where do these managers hang out and why can not get any service. They provided me with a tracking number that does not work, then they tell me to track my own package WITH WHAT NUMBER? I am so mad, I thought this would be a good way to work out and this Bender ball has caused me more stress then it is even worth.

I just wanted to say I have been scammed too. Their product isnt that bad; its a shame theyre ruining it by scamming people.

I like many others ordered this as a gift for someone. They love the ball, but I did not love finding a new charge on my credit card for $ 43.97 in January-Six months after I made my purchase. When I called they told me by buying the Ball I was enrolled in automatic shipments -apprently without my knowledge. I never received anything for the $43.97 and when I called Mid January they apologized, said they would stop the automatic program and refund my money ASAP. I never received the refund so I called again today. After being put on hold for 15 mins I was told to be patient it would show up soon. My next step will be to the BBB

I too have filed a complaint with the BBB regarding this company and their scam! Unfortunately I found this website after I placed my order. Upon reading all the complaints I immediately tried to cancel my order that same day I placed the order online. I was told that they could not cancel the order yet because it took 24-48 hours to show in their system and that I would need to call back. I got into a discussion with the person in customer service regarding the "extra" items they charge you for without people knowing. She indicated to me that they notify people once they "receive" their order. Meaning they don't tell you until you order the product, recieve it then open the package. I told her that was extremely decieving and illegal. I told her that nowhere on their website does it inform people that they will be charged for additional items they did not order and that they would be added to some buying program. She tried to play smart and looked up the webiste herself and told me to go to a certain page of the website. She read off some sentences that describe the item your selecting (Bender Ball disks). I said "yes I see that but where in that paragraph does it explain to people that they are signing up for additional items?" she just said "oh...it doesn't" then tried to revert back to the information they provide in the package "after" you order. I told her that was unacceptable. She told me that I could cancel those "additional" items by calling them after I received the order. I instructed her that under no circumstances did I want to receive the order period and that I wanted to cancel it. I checked my bank account the next day and there was the charge for the order that I was wanting to cancel. It had not been 24 hours even. So I immediately called them again and spoke to some guy named Tony and he said that the order was in "processing" and that it was being shipped out so they could not cancel it. I told him that I didn't want it so he gave me a return # and told me to refuse the delivery and write that # on the package. I told him I wanted an immediate refund and a confirmation # that the refund was given so he did that and gave me a number. That was last week. The refund still has not shown up on my account and I have not received the package to "refuse". I selected the rush shipping (3-4 days) so it should have been here by now to refuse. I called them again today to complain and was told that they had no way to cancel the orcer there @ custmer service and that the item was still in "processing", so the damn thing hasn't even gone out yet. She then tells me that it could be 7-14 days for the refund. I told her that was unacceptable and that it should be immediate because their charge was damn well immediate! I was furious! I asked for a phone # to speak with someone in their corporate office who could cancel this stupid order and give immediate refund. She told me that they didn't have one. I asked for her supervisor so the supervisor Judy gets on the line and pretty much tells me the same thing and says that I would have to wait to refuse the package and then once they get it back then they could proceed w/the refund. I told her I wasn't having that and it was not acceptable at all!! I told her that it was stupid to even send the damn thing out and that they should be able to cancel the stupid order and refund me immediately!! I mean come on!!! It hasn't even been sent but they can't cancel the order so I have to wait to get my money back - yeah right! The supervisor said the only way they have to communicate with their corporate office is via e-mail. I told her I didn't buy that at all. Everyone has a phone and has a way to contact the people they work for if something comes up that needs to be handled right away. She informed me that she would send urgent e-mail to them stating that I wanted immediate action and that I wanted someone in corporate to call me back and to confirm this was being taken care of and that the order was being cancelled (and not shipped out) and that my refund was being processed immediately & not 2 wks from now!!!
I'm not real confident this will be done so that's why I contacted the BBB. She also told me that I could go online to their website and submit a complaint....via e-mail!! I wonder if the person who's "name" is attached to this ball knows about all this scamming the company is doing.

I to thought this was a great way to get a workout. When I went to the website to order I thought I will see how much the eboost adds to my total. Little did I know that I ordered three times. I called the next day and requested that they cancel my account. I was informed that my account was cancelled. Now today I go to my account and not only once but Three times they took out $6.99 for the e-boost which I did not order. Called the company and got someone who was no help at all. They needed to send the account to a supervisor who conveiniently was not available to take a call. What a scam. I am cancelling my debit card just because of them.

I ordered the Bender Ball on December 17, 2007. The money was taken from my account on the 31st of December. After a couple of weeks and not having received the item I emailed the company and told them I never received this item. I never received a response. On January 24th I phoned in - this took at least 45 minutes to get through the automatic hold process. I spoke with someone in customer service and she stated that they could tell that I never received this item so she would reship this item. Well today is February 4, 2008 and I still do not have this item however, I have now been charged an additional 26.98 for something extra on the original package I never received. I phoned in again. This took 2.5 hours before I reached a customer service member. Her name was Mary. She stated the extra charge for a continuity program??? What??? continuity - I haven't even received the product. She cancelled the continuity but stated that it would take 48 hrs for a manager to call me back to refund this charge. At this point I stated that I do not want the product (which she has told me hasn't shipped yet). Mary switched me to a woman named Exell who said she couldn't refund my charges as well that they will need to be discussed with a Supervisor and that will take 48 hrs for a call back. At the end of the conversation she had the nerve to ask - had she helped me today??? Are you kidding - Helped me. They have 45 dollars of my money and I have no product? Help me? My goodness.
