Here's a follow-up to my previous complaint. The company finally shipped my Bit Shooter, or so they claim. I am supposed to get it within the next week. Fine but the problem is, it's not shipping to where it is supposed to! I had given them a shipping address at my sister's home across town because the person I bought this for as a gift, lives with me at my billing address! Guess what? He's going to be home when the item is supposed to arrive!!! So he's likely to see it, unless I can hijack the mail beforehand since I will be home too, or the postal service is kind enough to discreetly package it. I'll tell you what I think happened. They claim to have shipped this about 3 days after I called my credit card company to place a stop payment for this charge. Once they realized they weren't getting their money until I got my stuff...they wanted to rush the sucker right out, so they got hasty and shipped it to the wrong place. And through all this, I got not a single status or confirmation email which I was told I would get! DO NOT DEAL WITH THESE PEOPLE!! AT ALL!!!

I ordered the Bit Shooter as a gift. The "add-ons" are not a scam, it's just fine print that you have to read and be careful about. That is not my complaint. Nor is the shipping charge for the additional "free" drill. These are just buyer-beware kinds of things. My complaint is about the customer "service". Called a week after my order since I had not heard anything by e-mail, which I would expect to get upon shipping, and was told it was on "backorder", which I would also expect to be notified of. I had to contact THEM to discover this. So about two weeks later and then another week after THAT, I called and was told each time it would "ship within the week". Two straight weeks being told the item is in a warehouse "waiting to ship". It's now been 2 weeks since THEN. There's a fine line between patience and being scammed. It is nearly a month since the original order and no sign of the item coming to me. Called my CC company to get a stop payment placed on the order. Being as I had no proof I had not received my items, I did not expect anything. Surprisingly they accomodated. This, of course probably means the Bit Shooter people cancelled my order, without notifying me yet again. Just realized this company can be abbreviated into BS and I don't think it's a coincidence. Even if I end up getting this eventually, a month or more is far too long wait, even WITH proper order status notifications and notifications of difficulties with the order, which I've never received.

I am quite upset at this time! I tried to order for what was advertised $19.95 Bit shooter, plus extra cartridge and drill for added $8.95 shipping and handling. When I called the 1-800 number as advertised the prompt for zip code would not accept my zip! It kept telling me that I had an invalid zip!!!! No forward to an operator and I assure you I know my zip code! Then I proceeded to go online to order...Now I don't get the special offer of extra bit cartridges and drill with bit set but I must pay for all of it!!! I now have a bill for $128.40,,, what's that about???? Now how do I go about cancellation of order? I can't find any reference to customer service! Please HELP!!!

Hi Donna, I am Doug, the guy who wrote the lengthy review at the bottom of this page citing my experience with Southern Tools ridiculous sales process on the internet (and I am sure when you call in). Southern Tools is the maker or the Bit Shooter. Anyway, I did some research for you at the website they have online athttps://www.asseenontvnetwork.com/vcc/southerntools/bitshooter/135436/ At the bottom of the website is a customer service link (which I called when I posted my review) and you may reach Southern Tools at the following: 1-262-796-2002 (8:30am to 5:30pm M-F est) and their address is: Bit Shooter,PO Box 356, Deerfield Beach, FL 33442-7645. On another note, I am so glad I never ordered this overpriced P.O.S. based on all the reviews here. That "free" drill certainly is not free huh? I bet we will end up seeing the Bit Shooter at our local dollar stores just like I see the Ab Reducer and other televised products! Ha! Ha!

I ordered the bit shooter (2) of them. Paid for everything. I received one bit shooter not 2. I received 1 drill not 2. I did not received the cordless drills and I paid 27.85 for the shipping of everything. The phone number on the invoice is 304-292-2609 so I called to find out what was wrong with my order, guess what the phone number belongs to the Morgantown Beauty College. If some one becomes aware of any information on this, please share.

Like Gerald, I ordered 3 bit shooters and was told that each included the free cordless drill for the $19.95 price (and that's the way it's advertised on television). The 3 bit shooters arrived but only 1 cordless drill. The shipping and handling charge was $36.80 but I know that the actual UPS charge would be less than $10.00 because I do a lot of UPS shipping myself. So, for $96.65 I got 3 bit shooters with add'l cartridges and 1 cordless power drill - NOT 3 bit shooters and 3 cordless drills - a gross mis-representation.

I ordered 2 Bit Shooters, after accepting one add-on at a reduced price... after all the taxes and shipping and handling I only received 1 Bit Shooter... The bill was $58.75 and all I received was one for $19.95, an add-on for $14.75 for a total of $37... was shipping and handling $20??? what happened!!!!

WHAT A JOKE! I went to the website to order this handy all-in-one screwdriver after seeing the infomercial announcing the BIT SHOOTER with the 4 screw-type bit containers along with a free electric drill. Upon entering my name and address along with credit card information for the advertised items I was provided with a total of $19.95 + $8.95 s/h, I was then sent along a path of add-ons. The first add-on was if I wanted an additional Bit Shooter for 25% off, for a total of $14.95 plus s/h. I was then asked if I wanted the Pro Bit Shooter Cartridges and Case for another $14.95 plus s/h. This add-on was to give me 4 additional cartridges (I could only assume I would now have 8 cartridges, since it was unclear if I had to order this item to get my 4 original cartridges) plus a "durable plastic carrying case to keep my Bit Shooter and cartridges organized and neat." Then I was hit with the question if I wanted the advertised FREE CORDLESS POWER DRILL for only $9.95 for s/h. I COULD NOT BELIEVE IT when that was presented to me because I was under the impression that for the original order I placed of $19.95 + $8.95 s/h included the "free" electric drill. After all, the infomercial said it came free with every order. So this scam of an offer was not free...instead I was lured into paying $9.95 s/h for this supposedly free Cordless Power Drill. So you know you are paying the cost of this drill since the company will ship the drill with your Bit Shooter and combine s/h costs in one shipment. So that makes it $18.90 s/h to get the Bit Master and Power Drill. Usually these companies ship the cheapest method and the total order probably does not even cost them more than $5 to ship. As soon as I saw the extra shipping fee for the supposed free drill I was immediately turned off, but continued on just to see how pathetic these add-on screens were. So after clicking yes to the drill I was hit with an upgrade screen for my Power Drill (apparently the "free" drill is now inferred to be garbage). For only $14.95 + s/h I could upgrade my "free" drill, which I just agreed to pay $9.95 for in shipping and handling charges to get. The DELUXE Cordless Power Drill and Case would now give me an 18 Volt Deluxe Cordless Power Drill Model with over 3 times the power. I was then advised that a similar product in a store would cost 3 times the price. I clicked YES to add it on. I was then hit with an add-on for a 50 Piece Drill Bit Set and Case to complete my "FREE" drill. This add on was $14.95 + s/h. After all these add-ons I was then asked if I wanted to pay $9.95 for a lifetime warranty which appeared to cover anything in my order, but in reading the fine print (conveniently located in a separate link which most people won't see or click), you are told that the "unit must fail to perform under the conditions as specified in the instructions. Read all instructions carefully. Warranty covers defects in manufacturing and workmanship. Negligent, abusive or improper use of Bit Shooter will void warranty." You are then told that you will have to send all parts or attachments with a letter stating your reason for dissatisfaction along with the original sales receipt, a copy of the Bit Shooter Lifetime Replacement Guarantee and a check for $8.95. You have to ship via a method that you can trace, like Priority Mail and you have to wait 6 to 8 weeks for processing. Furthermore "the company may replace your Bit Shooter with a similar unit or brand of same or better quality, or refund the cost of [the] product if no such unit is available." I also noticed that the warranty only covers the Bit Shooter and nothing else; however the sales screen implies that everything in your order is covered. There was no verbiage saying that the Drill or the drills were covered with the warranty. So, after I added on all there was to add on, the total product cost came to $89.70 and shipping came to $38.70 for a grand total of $128.40. Amazing how you can go from $19.95 for a Bit Shooter with 4 cartridges with a "free" drill all the way up to $132.40. Of this $132.40, I can assure you that the shipping is no more than $10 to ship everything via FedEx Ground or Priority Mail. That means the company is making $122.40 on this order alone. What happened to $19.95? On the flip side, if you only order the Bit Shooter with 4 cartridges with the "free" cheaper, less powerful version of the Cordless Power Drill, then your total order with s/h is $38.85. If you only get the Bit Shooter with the Deluxe Cordless Power Drill and Case, which is supposedly 3x stronger than the "free" drill, then your total order is $58.75 with s/h. The purpose of this review is to show how manipulative these infomercial companies are. For the very reason that they inundate you with all of these add-ons with ridiculous s/h fees, is the reason I choose to look at their merchandise on the internet instead of calling into their toll free numbers and being read to by some monotone, non-caring idiot at an order processing center where it takes forever to place your order as the order taker reads off a computer monitor all of the add-on and tries to sell you everything from the add-ons of that product to magazines, travel programs and buying clubs. These infomercial companies need to change the way they do business because I know I cannot be alone in feeling raped whenever I try to order something advertised on TV lately! Generally, I just get so fed up with all of the add-on questions that I just click off the internet screen or tell the order taker at the 800# call center to cancel the order and to forget it.
