May 7,2008, I seen the advertising on TV about Core Rhythms and was going to order it. Something just told me to check it out on the web first. WOW I am sure glad I did. Thanks so much for letting me know just how terrible this company is.I am so thankful to you all from keeping me from being took advantage of and so sorry that all of you have had to deal with such scams as these. It's so sad that this company still continues to get away with this. Thanks again for keeping me from making the same mistake.

To all of you out there that want some answers, I have one. My sister found the DVDs at the local T[] store. You don't have to go online, or call any phone numbers to buy the product with no strings attached.

I ordered Core Rhythms at the end of February over the phone & by the time I was done with the 25 minute phone call I was ready to talk to a live person to cancel my order b/c of all the other items they were asking me to buy. I clearly put in all of my information & if any of you've ordered it, it won't let you go on without verifying all of it. Well, it shipped out to arrive on 3/5 and I called them and they didn't have me in the system, they then found me and had my zip code wrong so it went to the wrong city and zip code so would be returned to them. They also went ahead and charged my account which I clearly remember stating I wanted the free 30 days and to be charged at the end but thats neither here nor there at this point. Its 3/13 and I still don't have the product which the city it got sent to is the town over from me which I guess it would have to get sent back to Core Rhythms?? They have my correct City, State and zip now & of course they said I gave them the wrong information!! After reading some of this I am skeptical I will ever get this product but it hasn't been that long so I am still a little hopeful on this. But better guarantee that if I don't receive it, they WILL refund my money and they will let me listen to my order because they must keep records of those somewhere. I will call whomever I need to, I will contact the creators Julia Powers and Jaana Kunitz. Good luck to all others. I did also make certain with them that they are not taking any other funds out and that I only signed up for the ONE time $49.90 and thats it!

I saw the commercial for this product and thought it would be an interesting way to get back into shape. I went on the website and in order to enter the site you have to enter your name, address, etc. I was skeptical of this but since I was interested in the product I continued. Once on the site it gives you two options - one time purchase or the club price. Before making a decision I logged off the site to think about it. I'm on a very tight budget so therefore decided to take the one time purchase option. I re-entered the site and chose the option. Before the order confirmed I was asked if I would be interested in the Hoodia product. I selected NO and was knocked out of the order screen. Did it go through? Do I have to go through the process again and risk ordering it twice? I waited to see if a confirmation email was received. I didn't receive an email but my bank account was hit for the purchase price. I received the product and I Love it. It Works but I'm not a happy customer because I just received another hit on my bank account for the next DVD - I didn't order the club - I called the company and was told by Todd G. that I had indeed signed up for the club and that the packing slip received with the original shipment explained this in detail. Umm, no, there was no packing slip and since I ordered the one-time item I didn't question the lack of one. I demanded to talk to someone to cancel this immediately and was forwarded to John who basically told me too bad. I can send the DVD back but I have to eat all the shipping charges and they will not credit my account until they receive the DVD back and I have to use an RMA number to return it.<br /> I am furious! There was no notice that this was shipping out; they charged my account without permission. I again demanded to talk to someone who can straighten this out. John said he'd forward it to upper management and that someone will be getting back to me. As I'm reading all the other complaints I have a feeling that my chances are slim.

I ordered this program back on 11/07 charged to my credit card and received on 12/07 (a Month later). After reviewing the DVD's and realizing they were not very user friendly (and I have been an operator/owner of gyms) I returned via Fedex. They received and signed for this package and as of this date 3/6/08 I have not seen a credit to my account. I have contacted the BBB and my financial institution for a dispute and credit back to my account. A Note to All: When returning any product ordered by mail send back so that the vendor has to sign for it as your financial institution will readily credit your account if you have this document. It costs a bit, but is well worth it. Hope this helps someone else.

HUGE SCAMMERS THAT MUST BE STOPPED! I am furious while reading all of your complaints and I am sorry to say but it only gets WORSE! I NEVER even ordered these videos and they were shipped to my home and my credit card was used. I was furious because I heard from a friend that this happened to her when she ordered one. I mean I never called them, went on their site or saw any of these infomercials. I know nothing about them. My husband and I are in our 50s and I am pretty sure this isnt our thing. I am persuing every single angle I can on this including a lawyer because how they got this info is beyond me. I have alot more details but cant reveal them at this point for legal reasons but I assure you I will be back on here letting you know what happened and how you ALL can play a part in shutting these scammers down!!!! You ALL need to contact the Better Business Bearue and file a complaint about these scammers and thieves. One person cant do it alone. I dont work so I will be devoting 8 hours a day on this until it is taken care of. Thank God we have sites like this to go to. I did contact the company and like everyone else I was on hold for 25 minutes because of the "high call volume for ordering their videos" HA HA HA the lines are full because of their videos alright, but it isnt because people are ordering them! I will be back with more information but if ONE person sees this and it stops them from getting taken then I can sleep tonight.....I have no clue how these people can sleep at night.<br /> "whatever you did today, you'll have to sleep with tonight"

I have ordered the 3 dvd, basic and the abs/other. I DID NOT buy the subscription but after trying the basic and realizing the "teaching" was not at all clear even with the help area I decided that I wasn't even going to try the other two. I have returned over 3 weeks ago, with a return number, the other 2 dvd and have yet to see my refund. I have e-mailed customer service *again* and will let everyone know if I ever get an answer or even better, my refund. Don't buy these unless you have dance experience. They do 1 slow version then "party time!" (their term) party time is a very fast pace of which you are expected to have learnt the step the first time. Don't even get me started on the teachers...

I too ordered the $14.95 +s&h Core Rhythms dance workout video and unknowingly kept receiving DVD's in the mail & having $24.95 automatically deducted from my bank account! My mom suggested that in order to cancel my "subscription" I should write RETURN TO SENDER on the last package I recieved from them and they should get the hint and know to cancel me. That was in ___ and I'm hoping it worked. Does anyone know if this will work or not??? If you know hoe I can cancel correctly and finally then pleeeease let me know. I love the workout videos but I have enough to last a life time (8 total I think)!

These people have the absolute worst customer service I've ever experienced. It took them 3 tries to get an address change right. Then they sent me a duplicate product and charged me for it. I sent it back but never did get a refund. Whenever I called, and I've had to call at least 8 times, I had to sit on hold for anywhere from 5 to 30 minutes, typi- cally closer to 30 minutes. Their recording devices are really low brow noisy devices and interfere signifi- cantly with discussion. Don't buy anything from these people!

I called the 800 number provided. Immediately, I was concerned that there wasn't a real person to take my order. The automated system forced me to input my credit card number before revealing that I'd been placed in a "membership" and would keep receiving DVDs to review. Furthermore, there was no option to cancel during that call. I immediately emailed the company to retract my order. The person who responded said they didn't have the authority, but would refer my request to her supervisor. The supervisor didn't like the fact that I was cancelling because I felt I'd been trapped into a membership. The more she urged me to view at least one DVD, the more I held my ground. She finally relented, however the product was shipped a couple weeks later anyway! After notifying them, I was requested to return it. A big hassle.

I just finished watching the infomercial for Core Rhythm and was very impressed by the program and wanted to purchase it at the very reasonable price they offered it for which was $14.95 plus shipping and handling. I decided to check their site and I am grateful that I did. The infomerical never mentioned that you had to join a club, or the price would be $69.90 plus shipping and handling if you decided not to join. In my opinion their infomerical is misleading and I am thankful for all who have written in their complaints before me for saving me a lot of time and aggravation.<br /> <br />

I saw a TV ad for Core Rhythms and was impressed with participants who said they were pleased with new ablilty to dance latin steps after taking Core Rhythms program. The price was so low (14.95) I said to myself I would try this. Taking the offering telephone number I called today and found everthing automated. They offered to take credit card or bank payment except for the special offer only credit cards would be accepted. After submitting my credit card numbers and confirming them with the automated operator I was offered more at a higher price, joining their dance club which would entail payments of more mone¥ each month with receipt of monthly DVD's. I opted not to take this and found it impossible to stop their repetition of futher offers. Finally in desperation I hung up and called my credit card company to cancel everything. The AMEX employee said he could only do this when the charges were placed with them by the seller. As of then he had nothing. I will wait until I am billed by Core Rhythms and call my credit card company again to institute a complaint asking for cancellation of any and all charges from this scam operator. I noted with AMEX your site and that you had many, many complaints already on this company. The AMEX rep said he would take your name and see what he could do to stop this operation from his end. I will closely look at all bills and deny payment to anyone who appears to be these people. They are criminals and should be behind bars where they belong.

I ordered the DVD understanding I would have my bank debit card debited for $14.95. After being on the phone for 25 minutes with a stupid automated phone system, I decided I was not interested in making a purchase after all the stuff they tried to force on you. I attempted to press "O" in the hopes of speaking to a human and cancelling the whole thing. This was impossible so I became angry and hung up, knowing I had been had. I will call the bank Monday morning to see what I can work out with them. Hopefully, they can cancel the charges being made to my debit card.

I saw an informercial for this product in November and decided to give it a try. I went on the internet so instead of the $14.95 deal I just was informed I'd be charged the $75. Well, I went on this site and started reading all the complaints about the scam and decided to withdrawl my order request. It was less than 2 hours after my purchase that I wrote in for the order cancel. 2 days later my card was charged anyway and I recieved an email telling me "oh it's too late we already charged your card." So I explained to them that was unacceptable since I asked them 2 days prior to cancel the order and that I didn't want the product. They then responded with a letter that basically said, "Oh it's too bad...you shouldn't have placed the order if you didn't want the product. We're shipping it to you anyway...enjoy it for free for 10 days and if you don't like it send it back." Again I told them that I did NOT want it and that if I recieved it in the mail I would refuse the package and return to sender, and that I would be informing the BBB of there customer service problems. So low and behold 3 days later the DVDs arrive in the mail and I promptly did as I said...I took out a giant Sharpie marker wrote RETURN TO SENDER on the package and took it back to the post office. I then recieved an email from a customer service team leader telling me that the best they could do was give me HALF of my money back since they've already gone through the trouble of sending me the DVDs. Well again I sent another Email letting them know this was unacceptable business practice and that I wanted the other half of the money and to expect a complaint to the BBB. Here we are in mid April...I never heard from the company again after the last email in mid Nov. But FINALLY...FINALLY....last week they refunded the second half of the charges to me. I never did try out the product because I didn't want it in the end. The hundreds of complaints I read on the internet was enough for me so I can't say the product was horrible, but I will say the customer service was just awful and hard to work with. I wouldn't buy from this company again even if I wanted to.

This company is at the top of the list for being scam artists. I wish I knew before I ordered. I called the phone number and ordered what I thought was a $14.95 item. Allowing for shipping and handling, I did not think it would amount to the charge of $43.14. I did not agree to a MEMBERSHIP, yet I am charged each month $26.95. I just discovered the charges on my credit card. I did not receive anything and was surprised at the charges. I called the company to "cancel" the membership I did not agree to. Because I did not spot these charges earlier, it did not meet the 30 day requirement (even though I never received what they are charging me for) and they will only refund the last charge. They said they could re-send the other two items. I said I did not want the other items anyway and wanted this all canceled and my money returned. I believed that I was ordering only one videotape and no more, but they continued to charge my credit card without my permission. I am upset with their underhanded dealings. I feel like they are robbing me and I don't like it one bit.

How I wish I had investigated this company before I ordered anything. What an expensive $75.00 lesson to learn. Proof that people will do anything to get a buck and still sleep well at night. To boot, the routines are very difficult to follow as there is an almost constant transition between steps. I will tell everyone I can that not only are these dvd's not worth a dime but the company is dishonest as well.

I ordered a workout from this company after seeing it advertised on TV. The offer was 14.95 + s/h. When I got routed into voicemail instead of talking to an operator to order, I should have hung up but I was really intrigued by the workout. According to the voicemail system, the workout would be the advertised price only if I agreed to have other workouts sent to me on approval. Otherwise, I could pay another 14.95 and have the workout alone. This is what I opted for-- then found out I was having to opt OUT of a whole slew of other "gift" cards and buying cards. Their system would give a "I do not understand" response the first time I answered negatively, EVERY SINGLE TIME. The second time, voila, it suddenly would understand me. Let me say that I know I should have hung up long before that point, but they had my credit card # already, and I was horrified to think what they'd tack on if I didn't explicitly opt out. I received the workout within the stated shipping time, and no other charges appeared on my credit card. The workout's even exactly as advertised. Everything's cool, right? WRONG!! This week I received a postcard about a "delayed shipment" with an order # and an 800 number to call. Since I knew I *hadn't* ordered anything else, I was alarmed and called right away. Their grammatically incorrect answering message said that "due to the high response of our product," that all their reps were busy (gee, wonder why?) but I perservered. After 10 minutes, I spoke with a very pleasant rep who told me that my order was delayed because my credit card wouldn't authorize the charge (Yay Visa!). I explained to her that I hadn't ordered anything to start with, so she shifted me over to cancellations. Another wait, 15 mins this time. I got a male rep this time who tried to tell me that I'd opted for the membership when I'd ordered the workout. He also tried to tell me that the "pay for this one workout full price" was 64 bucks! I explained that no, I'd listened very carefully when I was ordering, and that wasn't the deal at all, or I'd have never agreed to it in the first place. Then, he tried to convince me that I'd *JUST THEN* authorized the membership! No, I hadn't. Things got a little heated, if still polite, before he finally backed down and acknowledged that I could cancel at any time. Well, CANCEL ME NOW!!! Believe it or not, he tried to entice me to change my mind with discounts and free shipping on more workouts! *rolls eyes* I offered to return the workout I already had, several times, as I certainly wouldn't have authorized the order at 60+ bucks-- I hardly think it's worth the 30+ I already paid-- but he said it was already past the 30 day return deadline. LOL, now, that's convenient, isn't it? So, after a few more firm exchanges, he agreed to cancel my membership, and told me nothing more would be charged to my account. I could keep the workout. Gee, thanks, since I've ALREADY PAID through the nose for it, and paid again with a bout of hypertension that probably has taken a month off my life today. ;-) I realize that these poor schmucks answering the phones take all the heat and have nothing to do really with how the company's run-- and I told this fellow as much, in more politically correct wording. I also asked that he make a note that the company needs to overhaul their ordering process. He says they're doing that right now, already. Um... yeah... and I bet they'd sell me the London Bridge too, if they thought they could get away with it. So-- the moral of this long tale is, if you like the looks of the workout, watch for it at your local used media and book store, where some poor disillusioned dupe like me got suckered into buying it. DO NOT, whatever you do, so much as CALL Core Rhythms. Stay away from their website! Your wallet, and your bloodpressure, will thank you.
