Thank you to everyone who took the time to tell us their experience. I've seen the informercials, logged onto the site and tried to set up an appointment. Due to scheduling issues, we kept having to reset the appointment date and each time the sales person would insist on repeating the same stuff on the company. The question regarding my marital status and that I MUST attend with my husband was a HUGE turn off. Also the fact that the sales person wouldnt give me information on the membership fees over the phone, that I could only get that at the meeting. I told her to forget it and take my name of the lise. Its a very clever push because until reading this site, i was still thinking that maybe I missed out on a great membership club for discounted housegold items. Good to know that it wasnt worth my time.

I almost fell for it! I went to their site and signed up to see the showroom. Later that day I got a call from the Chesterfield Mo office. The lady set an appoitment and said she sent me email and some pass in the mail, never got either. I thought maybe I deleted the email and that my crackhead postal lady might have lost it. Now I know she never sent nothing. I got it for me and aunt so we can both go and check out the merchandise. Ok. The time comes to go and my aunt decided that she wanted to cancel and set up another appointment. I called told the lady and she said to leave a message with customer service. Did that. Left a message. Now when I called back to let her know that I would not be showing up she said ok. She calls back and check this out, she does not say hello or goodevening nothing like that. She calls and says who is this, as if she knows me. I said who the hell is this you called me. She hangs up. Calls back and ask, may I speak to Evangeline, I says yeah and asked her did she just call here and ask me who is this, I was hoping she would lie so I can have a reason to go off. She did as planned. I said lady, I got caller I.D. She dismissed that and went on to say, will you be coming tonight. I said lady, we already discussed this. I can not make it tonight and I wanted to make another appointment. She said oh. I said yeah. She then says you wanna make it for friday. I said no friday is not good how about Monday. She says well if you can not come now you wont be able to apply for 7 years. I said OMG! Like I was concerned, and then added, you seemed to mistake me as a person who give a flying F^&&k! Hung up. She calls back and tries to curse me out. I just said if you call me back again I am going to show up and dot your eyes, now try me! I have not heard from her since. Don't expect to. I thought I would do some seaching on the company and found this site. I am sooo glad I did. I can see myself having a stroke dealing with these people and my money, not to mention the service. I am glad I did not go. If I want crappy stuff, I can order from FGRHT!

ATTENTION!!! READ THIS !!! I was scammed by DB. I was mad as I'm sure you are. Now is the time to strike back. First, if you placed your "membership fee" on your credit card, call your credit card company right now and put the charge in dispute. Second, write your local Better Business Bureau and tell them what happened. You would be surprised what power they have. You can find their phone and address online. Don't stop now! Write you states attorney general (indianaattornetgeneral.gov). The United States Attorney General. The Federal Trade Commision. I recently did this and got my money back. These agencys have never heard there was a problem. If nobody writes, they have no idea there is a problem. I urge you all to stop what you are doing and write these letters now. Direct Buy must be put out of business now!!! You wouldn't want a family member to get stuck, why a stranger? Yes, you can make a difference. Good luck!

I went to a presentation in Houston Texas. After viewing the show I said I was not going to buy today that I always think about these things.We are talking about a lot of money. The attitude changed and I was shown the door.I ask to see a copy of the contract and was refused. This is a scam big time. Do not fall for this.

Do not join this membership unless you have a lot of time and patience. Direct Buy Gurnee IL very poor customers service once you join. For most part, you are not going to save any money unless all you are going to buy is furniture. That you can save money and you will have to wait 6-8 weeks and hope that you do not have any damage goods. The biggest problem is their customer service. Most of the time, you cannot get a hold of anyone and if you do they will tell you that they will check into the issue and call you back. You never get a call back. I had orders blinds for my whole house. First, they told me how to measure and I did what they told me to do. Place the order, which I did save money since they had a 15% discount also. Received the blinds and they were all too narrow by almost 1 3/4. The instructions they gave us were old and not correct. I had to re order the blinds and they took another 8 weeks to come in. I had to argue that the customer service rep insisted this is what I need to do and the only reason they allowed me to reorder the blinds because the rep was no longer working there. I had orders a crib 8 weeks before the baby was to be born the crib came in 4 weeks and was damaged. I had to reorder or I thought that was what they were going to do and told them I needed the crib fast since the baby was to be born at the end of January. I receive the crib at the of March. all they did was have the part fixed which I was not happy about and if they ordered the new part which they said they did why would this take almost 2 months. The cost is not worth paying since you would need to order many products. They advertise that if you are building you can save a lot of money, which I am sure there is some savings but you never now if the product will arrive on time and if it will be correct. Would you want to order your kitchen cabinets form them and something is not correct? Where do you go to get help? Be careful.

Yesterday, I visited a Direct Buy (DB) showroom with a friend. Prior to the visit, I received numerous telephone calls about the possibility of having access to their showroom. DB sent out a card and “key” to prizes awaiting my arrival. When I arrived at an office complex, DB had a Mercedes Benz “prop” outside of the entrance to their showroom. The showroom was buzzing with “alleged” customers. Soon after what transpired is quite disturbing and in some respects, as well as, humorous. They promised manufacturer’s discounts on name brand appliances and kitchens, etc., but would never show you any details. If you named a manufacturer such as Anderson Windows, they stated that no book was available for pricing but that you would work through their local contact who works directly with Anderson Windows. There was always some other person who worked directly with the manufacturer which was contrary to what I thought was Direct Buy’s role to achieve discount pricing. I wondered how a local merchant could command discounts comparable to Best Buy and other major retailers when their business enterprise was not even in the same league. After being shuttled into another area of the room about the size of a small shoe store, my friend and I were created by the business development manager. He boasted of his huge savings on a remodeled kitchen and continued to rattle about savings with no specific details. Shortly, thereafter, myself and friend were shuttled into an adjoining area where a TV monitor was positioned. As we sat waiting, a man similar in stature and mannerisms of Joe Pesce as reflected in the movie “My cousin Vinee.” He quickly began to question the attendees about where they worked and whether or not they were building or remodeling a home. As he began his “pitch” he spoke of Italian leather sofa which was no longer in the showroom. He stated that it was valued at several thousand dollars, but only cost $ 900 for DB members. I told him that the materials and shipment costs would not cover a manufacturer’s investment. When I questioned him about the whereabouts of the sofa, he stated that the previous owner of this DB store took it home. He then went on to describe other discounts in furniture. I asked him whether or not he heard of “High Point, North Carolina” and stated that discounts averaged 50% plus no sales taxes. Although he apparently had no knowledge of High Point, North Carolina furniture stores he was adamant about beating their prices. He then began “alleged” savings on kitchens, etc. I kindly interrupted his stumbling presentation and asked for him to cut to the chase…and simply asked how much it would cost. He nervously stated that he would get into it later. He then turned on the TV and began to play video tape. After about ten, minutes he went back to his white board again apparently forgetting about what he had previously presented. I then asked what would happen if Direct Buy went bankrupt. He stated that you would lose your membership fee. He spoke of being able to shop at other locations. However, closer examination of their contract stipulated that the investment was between you and the local franchisee and not other Direct Buy locations. I then pressed him for the fee which he quoted as $ 5100.00. He went on to state that we all would meet with a business representative to answer any questions. The presenter than began to boast about expanding the size of their business state they didn’t add the additional space during the year 2000 housing boom (as of 1974). I asked him why the business hasn’t grown office space in over 30 years. He had no answer. My friend and I walked out after they refused to work out a deal; whereby, no payment would be received until the goods are safely received. It appears to be some kind of a pyramid scam using the deposits of other to cover the discounting offered to a customer.

My husband and I attended a Direct Buy Open House. The first thing that struck me is that the showroom looked "temporary." Other the kitchen and carpet displays, everything else looked as if it could be picked up and taken away at any moment. Our membership counselor was polite. However, when my husband told her we were just curious about their produce, she informed us then that their primary purpose was to sell us a membership. We should have left then, but, we stayed for the presentation along with another couple. The presenter was extremely good and I have to admit, they almost had me. I even whispered to my husband that if the fees weren't too high, this may be a good investment for us. However, when that man wrote $6,390.00 for three years up on that board, then stated that it would cost $190.00 for the next ten years, all I could do was laugh. He sent us back to our membership counselor and I immediately told her that the price was too steep. She proceeded to tell us about their financing options which included putting $600.00 down and financing at 17%. "17%?" I asked. "What if you have good credit?" She shrugged. It was then, that I told her that I was no longer interested. My husband interjected and stated that he and I would think about it over the weekend and we would contact her on Monday with our decision. That's when she told us that we had to make our decision now or we could never come into the showroom then. My husband and I both were shocked. My husband asked her if we decided to join and bought a cashier's check for $6,390.00 into the showroom on Monday, they wouldn't accept it, she replied, no. We had to make our decision now. It was then, that we escorted ourselves to the door. There were so many other things about Direct Buy that didn't sit well with me. The older gentleman sitting at the customer service desk that was supposed to be looking for a living room set to purchase. He was flipping through the catalogs at warp speed. If he was looking for something, he had to have bionic eye vision. Or the lady and young man who came in to look at the catalogs, kept looking at my husband and me as we were being pressured to purchase a membership. And finally, how the video presentation kept stating not to tell retailers about Direct Buy's prices or manufacturers would get mad and would stop working with them. As if employees at the retailers don't watch T.V., and don't see one of their 100 informercials a week. Basically, if Direct Buy was such a good deal, everyone would be a member and I mean everyone. All I can say is, Buyer Beware. CAC

Direct Buy, Run, Do Not Enter!! This is a big big Scam. I am really shocked that this company is still allowed to conduct business, they prey on honest people as they lie to you and steal your hard earned money. To put it real short, 1) Never pay a membership fee of $5,000 or more, yes it changes from person to person, and you get nothing from it, and only have 1 hour to make a decision (no sleeping on it) or you won't be let back to join the "suckers club", high pressure at its best 2)I can beat thier prices everytime on the internet or large retail stores, they do not buy wholesale, they may buy direct, but they pay more than a Best Buy or Home Depot, Savings $0, Nada, Nothing. 3.) They charge Extra Hidden Fees after the order, that put the cost above what you can buy on the internet or a competitive retail store, plus they charge you 8% for using a credit card! 4) No customer service, big runaround, 5) Long waits for products!! Partial shipments, double time for damaged goods. Bottom Line: You will never save $5,000 or more buying from Direct Buy, Ever! However, You will experience frustration and self pity that you made such a bonehead decision and you fell for the "Pay Now or Get Out" line! Do yourself a favor, research your items, you will be surprised what you can find cheaper! Like every good consumer, get at least 3 quotes, use the internet and save, free to join!

I am a member with DirectBuy in Kelowna British Columbia, Canada. And to be honest I am dissatisfied, with their service and their charges. My Girlfriend and I signed up with DirectBuy after a gruelling 100 minute sales process bye one of their reps. He wasn't unfriendly at all but we were definitely like many others put on the spot here. So against our better judgement we signed up and about 3 months later i made the first purchase a nice tv stand which they had in their books for 325 (msrp was 750, however i found it for 599 online including shipping). I thought hey fantastic and went to order... well tried to order it... it was hard enough to figure their order process out but once done came the nice little surprise... The stand was 325 plus a shipping and handling fee of over 100 dollars in the end i paid as much as 500 dollars. I still thought okay hey its a 100 bucks less than anywhere else. But then came the wait 2 months went buy and no tv stand and after multiple calls and even helping them fix their computers to finally check for it, the status couldn't be found out. "Any day now" was the answer for another week. I checked with the online retailer who assured me i could have ordered and received the item within 2 weeks. All i can say is the total value of DB is extremely low. I have called [] a couple of times as the fee of 170 per month for something that acutally costs me more grief than anything else, wasn't worth it. [ ] Finance informed me that i could cancel with DB but that it wouldn't affect my payments... At which point i was a little stumped, especially when i was informed (we had no chance to read the back of the contract) that we had the option to cancel within the first 3 days. I asked the rep of [ ] Finance where the sense was in cancelling yet still having to pay, and found out that apparently even if i were to cancel DB would not refund the unused monthly membership fees to Beta Finance. In my opinion i believe that [ ] Finance is an arm of DB ensuring that all the funds being "loaned" to the member and given to DB stay with DB. Stay away... No great savings, Just Headaches, Red Tape, Incredible Shipping and Handling fees....

After driving almost 150 miles to attend the "short presentation" at a Direct Buy showroom, we were shocked to find out that if we did not join THAT DAY that we would not be allowed to join at a later date - alledgedly to protect Direct Buy's relationship with the companies they buy from...because Direct Buy says after seeing their prices, if we do not join right then, we will go running into Sears saying "we can get this cheaper at Direct Buy, so you should give me half off of this washer and dryer". Well, if we had known that it would be almost 6 grand for the first two years, we would not have driven hours during a snow storm to get a super hard sell, and find out it's too expensive for the average family/couple. And if the sales person tells you they have no control at all over the pricing plan, not true! When we told the sales person we could not afford the price, they came down on the down payment from 1,500 to 500 dollars, if we just joined right then and there. Of course the first 2 years go up to over 7,000 if your down payment is lower. It may not be a total rip-off - but if you cannot afford a huge down payment and you are not buying a whole house worth of appliances and furnishings, then it does not seem to be worth the price. Think twice before attending the presentation. Again, we were told that if you didn't fork up the cash right then, then you are not able to join in the future. I can only see it being worth it if you are able to go in with your parents and a sibling without Direct Buy figuring it out. They also have the right to kick you out any time they think you are "violating" their rules - like buying a couch for your in-laws and Direct Buy thinks they paid you for it instead of being a gift to them from you.

I am a college graduate and got a call from DB about a sales position. My parents were against it but I wanted to check it out. I am in there for about 10 minutes and most of the time he is on a calculator telling me how much money I will be able to make and how easy it will be to make $60,000 a year. I am acting not interested at all and then I get invited to watch the open house. I decide to go. What a scam. The membership fee is $5000 plus after 2 years its $250 a month! The commission for the sales people is around $100 per membership. They tell you that you need to sign up and pay right away I still am not sure the reason. Or you can finance fee at a higher rate than most credit cards. Plus the hidden fees. It seems to me that it would be better to just buy on sale, pay cash, or on a credit card that will have a lower interest rate than on the membership fee, and save yourself the trouble.

I decided i would check out Consumer Report on line and found this info on their site: "To evaluate the pitch, we went undercover at two DirectBuy franchises in New York. Both gave us the same hard sell and offers of up to 70 percent off retail prices if we were to join. Only after an hour and a half of sales pitches and video testimonials from members did we learn the membership fee: $4,900 to $4,990 (plus tax) for three years and then $190 a year for seven more. Financing is available at 17.75 percent. After the fee disclosure, we discovered that we had to sign up on the spot or never come back. We couldn't bring DirectBuy's "confidential" prices elsewhere to comparison shop, the representatives said, because this would likely anger retailers who might then retaliate against the manufacturers by refusing to sell their merchandise. The fine print in the DirectBuy contract says you cannot return items, cancel orders, or terminate your membership. When we asked if, after plunking down $5,000, we could cancel and get a refund, a salesperson said, "You'll have to check state law." A review of New York state law revealed that the three-day cooling-off period for canceling contracts wouldn't apply in this case. Tacked onto the cost of merchandise--which you select from catalogs since DirectBuy has limited showrooms--are a 6 percent handling fee, shipping fees, and tax. Goods are typically shipped only to your local center, so you might pay additional fees to actually get your new stuff home." Hope this helps you decide!

My wife and I fell for the TV add on this and scheduled an appointment at the Direct Buy Center in Columbia, MD. We were met by a young man who wanted to become our best friend and asked a lot of personal questions. Then we were ushered into a viewing room with several other prospective clients and given a high pressure sales pitch and shown a meaningless video with multiple testimonials about the benefits of joining Direct Buy. The alarm bells went off when the salesman said this was a one-time offer and that we would be required to accept it before we walked out the door. He then told us that the initial fee was $4,900.00 for two years and $160 for eight more years. We were then escorted back to the first salesman who tried to pressure us into signing. When it became evident that we had serious reservations, he became insulting. I told him that I could write a $4,900 check and not miss the money, but I didn't get into this good finanacial position by writing $4,900 checks to people based on their say so. I said that if their product was as good as they say, then I should have some time to think it over and do some research. We then walked out with him following us to the door continuing to be insulting and condescending. I felt vindicated when I saw the 400+ complaints on this website. I can't understand how anyone would fall for this and why these people haven't been arrested.

Several months ago, I declined to take advantage of an invitation to DB because I was annoyed that the caller kept insisting that my spouse must come too. I figured that was a fluke. Last week, I applied electronically to DB for an invitation. A young woman phoned and quickly got to the question about my husband's name. I pointed out that there was a reason why his name did not appear in my e-mail application. She insisted that she must have a name and that that person must appear because "manufacturers require" it. What nonsense! Then she told me that she knew I was married because my husband had answered the phone and said that "his wife" must have contacted DB. My unmarried son never said any such thing! More nonsense! I slammed down the phone and today received a visitor's pass in the mail. After two too stupid encounters, I wouldn't have gone anyhow, but after discovering this site and it's at least 25 pages of complaints, I can't imagine how DB continues to do business.

We went to the presentation a few weeks ago to join DB-Atlanta. We really were only looking for a leather sectional to start but could see in the future possibly spending more on other items. On the exact leather sectional we could've saved about $1500 from the best price I had received in the retail world. Well, that definitely peaked our interest and if everything was discounted like this, then all systems were a go, right? So we joined after short deliberation after the presentation. Of course, as many have stated before, we had to make the decision THAT NIGHT or couldn't come back for 7 yrs. We couldn't pay the full amount right then so we decided to write a check and make three payments. The person suggested we go ahead and write three checks and post date the other two so we wouldn't have to worry about coming in to write the other. Had I really thought about it, I would've just said, "Well, we will be in here buying stuff, we'll just write the next checks as needed." Anwyays, we gave him three checks and were fairly excited about the savings to come. I am the type of person that likes to research things and think about things before making a decision. They don't afford this luxury here but that do allow you a 3-day cool-off period in some states. Thank God for that!! When we got home I immediately logged on and found this and other sites. Some other sites had members that were somewhat happy with their membership but the overwhelming response was that people were dissatisified with DB (some members, some nonmembers who had just attended the presentation). After reading about the savings, the shipping charges, the hassles of going to pick stuff up (our closest DB is almost an hour from us). We decide we really didn't have that much to purchase at this time to make up for our purchase. We decided to cancel. You have a write a letter w/in three business days (per the DB contract) and they have to refund your money in full. I wasn't worried about getting my refund but the fact that I gave them two postdated checks worried me a little bit. I called, and explained that we mailed our cancellation and would like to know if I could pick up our two post-dated checks. They said it was fine so I drove the 1 hour up there to get my checks fully realizing that they had probably already cashed the first one. I get up there and apparently the owner left sick for the day and they couldn't get into the safe. So even though I called 5 hours earlier, they didn't have enough brain cells to think to get the checks outt of the safe. Of course, we all know that the whole "sick" excuse was just a cop-out. So, he said that they would be mailing a refund for our first check and could either tear up the other two or could send them to me voided. I told them to send them to me so I wouldn't have to worry about stopping payment on those checks. He said it was fine. I do have to say, my customer service experience there was superb, however, it is all just a front. They put on a grand show complete with smiles and dreams of wonderful discounts. When it all comes down to it, they are all incompetent and do not care about providing real customer service. So, we received our check in the mail a few days later and what do ya know? The two voided checks were no where to be found. I can't say I'm surprised, but I am pretty pissed. First of all, I drove out there an hour pick up these checks. Spent another 30 minutes there trying to convince the guy that "yes, I do really want to cancel." He actually had the audacity of asking me if I had taken the time to think about how much money I'd be losing in the long run if I DIDN'T join! I frankly replied, "well, sir, your policies don't really allow for taking much time to consider anything. So no, I haven't taken a lot of time. Besides, we've already mailed the letter signed by my wife and I and she is not with me to retract that decision." You see, they want both of you there to sign your name on the dotted line, but ultimately they wouldn't have cared that both of us weren't there to rescend our cancellation. Oh, and icing on the cake is that everyone in the store seems to have the title of "Director." I guess that is so nobody can really say, "The buck stops here." They just keep passing you on from Director to Director until you get tired of complaining. Oh AND I called the numbers on the two business cards that I received from two of the Directors. Both of their voicemails are not functional or have not been activated yet. Hmm, is that because they don't want to call people back? Or maybe because they don't want to have their voicemail filled up with angry members. Customer Service...pfft! I don't know if I believe this place is a "scam," but I definitely would never recommend anyone joining. For the amount of time and hassle that you have to put up with, I think I'll stick to the "retail world."

Thank god i read this and there are laws. Here is my story. My wife and i are planning on remodling our kitchen and hear about Direct Buy and see them at a local home show. My wife begs me to go see it with her and it will only take 90 minutes. I tell her no because i know how these high pressure sales pitch's go. Well i get a mail flyer from Direct Buy and i decide to make my wife happy and go. We also have a 9 year old that we have to bring with us because you cant go without your spouse. She is well behaved so i do worry. We arrive for our 7pm appointment and the whole BS presntation takes 2hrs. It's now 9pm and my daughter still has not eaten. I then find out it's $5,100 to join here in Fl and you have to do it today. I explain i'm sold but it's 9pm and my family needs to eat. I want to look around at the kitchen cabnets and the showroom before i hand over 5k. Why cant i come back tomorrow and cut you a check when i have more time to see if i can really save on my new kitchen? I have had quotes for $15,0000 so i figure i would recoupe the money. Well they tell me YOU CANT COME BACK!! You have to buy tonight. I get up and leave. My wife really wants to join. It's now 10:30pm my 9 year old daughter still has not eaten dinner but they have cartoons playing for her as they are trying to rip me off to keep her busy. I know SOMETHING DOESNT FEEL RIGHT. My wife isnt helping and wants to join and i'm hungry and pissed off now. In Fl you have 3 days to get out of the contract. STUPID me cut them a check $5,100. The owner tells me i get a CRUISE 4 paying in full. I go home and read the my new Direct Buy membership. SOMETHING doesnt feel right i keep telling my wife. So i google direct buy and find this. It's now 3am as i write this. I'm waking up early going to cancle my $5,100 check at the bank then going to the post office to mail a certified copy to get me out of my contract. I will then go to direct buy with another copy of the letter. THANK GOD i can get out of this and i read this. I'm 31 years old with a 9 YEAR OLD and this comany tried to scam me out of 5k while my daughter feel asleep with no dinner at thier shoowroom. HEARTLESS!!!!!!

When I talked to a friend of mine he told me to look for some reviews on it. Told me that a friend of his got took by them. Am sure glad that I did. Thank You. P.S. Just ordered thier online membership freepass today,will post how things go.

We went to the DB showroom based on the recommendation of our builder who had good luck with the high end stuff. I am ashamed to admit that I fell for the movie time presentation and signed even though I didn't feel right at the time. I may be partly saved though as I googled contracts for Ontario. There is a 5 day cooling off period here for memberships and all you have to notify them in writing. You don't even have to give a reason.(best letter ever) I put one copy on the receptionist's desk and sent another by registered mail just to be sure. We paid with a $590 deposit and the rest financed over 35 months. I contacted the finance company and told him we were canceling and he was very nice about it and assured me there won't be a problem on his end. If you have just joined and are reading this list, check with your state or provincial government's website. Now I am waiting to hear from the DB showroom to see if I can get my $590 back. I am also reading up on small claims court. good luck

We went to the DB in Bflo. I had the same feeling that I had when I attended a time share presentation a few yrs. ago. The sell was hard and since the company gave you no chance to think and do research on product purchaces you might make, we decided to forgo the deal. If it is too good to be true, it probably is. They would not let us think about it over night. We declined. The salesman, Kevin, seemed condescending when we asked him for some time to mull it over. He told us that maybe this is not for us, then showed us the door. Rude. He then went to hook another fish, er customer. If my money is only good today, I'll keep it in my pocket for tommorrow.

I went to the Direct Buy Chantilly, VA location about 8 years ago. I received a letter in the mail in advance of my visit, asking me to schedule a tour of the showroom. I went out to the showroom during the designated date/time, with my sister. Upon entering the "showroom"(a relatively small store-type location in a warehouse strip), we were greeted by very friendly sales people. We were offered a drink and the sales person then proceeded to try and become our new best friend (to the point of being almost uncomfortable, and definitely annoying). He did not talk that much of the program, just talking personal crap. Other couples were also invited, about 20 people in all. After a few minutes, we were all shuffled in a back room where there were chairs setup and we then watched a video (infomercial). The video lasted a good 20-30 minutes. After the video, we were allowed to briefly look in the books on the shelves that contained the products that could be ordered (there were no actual products to touch or look at, it was just catalogs). Up to this point, there was absolutely no mention of how it would cost to join. Then, we were asked to sit down at a table with our sales guy, where he proceeded to give us the hard sell, and tell us about the cost (can't remember how much, but it was in the thousands, I think $3,500 to join). Having not heard about the company before, I said that I would have to think about it before deciding. He then said, well, if you don't sign-up tonight, you CANNOT come back, it is now or never!!!!! As soon as he said that, I got highly suspect and said, FORGET IT. We quickly left. If you have ever been on a timeshare tour, double or triple the hard sell and annoyance of direct buy. Personally, I think it is a pathetic joke and I would never go again. anyplace that won't let you do some research is obviously afraid of what you will find out!!! just my personal opinion. I never joined.
