I bought epil stop and when I used it; it made the pores on my legs bleed. I tried this 2 separate times and this product burnt my legs both times. I contacted the company and they told me to try it again for a longer period of time and then they sent me a coupon for a 25% off my next order of it.

This product seemed like the answer to my problems!! I have tweezed and tweezed my upper lip and chin area for years so when I saw this advertised on T.V. I was ,at first, skeptical but it seemed to stay around for awhile making me think that since I hadn't heard any bad words on it that maybe it really does work! HA I applied the roll-on to my upper lip just as the directions had said too. Within 2 minutes my lip felt like it was on fire so I immediately rinsed it off with mild soap, the burning continued I had to put a makeshift ice pack(sandwich baggie and ice cubes)on my face just to ease the burning! It instantly blistered and took weeks for the blistering to go away.NOW I have tiny burn scarred patches on my lip! They have been there ever since a PERMANENT reminder of the crooks of epil stop!

After watching the infomercial on TV, I purchased Epil Stop on the web. I used the product exactly as directed on the package, but ended up with skin burns everywhere I used the product. I started with minimum usage as was directed, but the hair did not come off as indicated. When I applied an additional amount and waited for a few minutes longer, I ended up with broken hair folicles and burnt skin on my upper lip as well as my forearms. I am extremely unsatisfied with this product and believe that it should be taken off of the market immediately!

Used the roll on epil stop to remove facial hair. Received a burn on upper lip, I had to go to the doctor for burn treatment. That was almost a year ago and that area is still really sensitive to almost everything that comes in contact with it. Occasionally it will swell and reblister, this was never a problem before I used the Epil Stop.

I, too, tried this hideous product.  It actually burned holes in my skin after using it.  It does remove, but not hair, it removes SKIN!

Anthony writes:
For years I have had embarrassing hair problems and I have used them all. I was intrigued by epil stop and I spent the money on it only to find out it didn't work, not even the epil stop for men didn't work. It stunk worse then a perm and it burned my skin and it didn't remove not one hair. I will never trust infomercials again!

Cheryl writes:
I purchased Epil Stop at my local Walgreens drug store. The very first time I used it, my skin was burned to the point that it was red and chapped like for atleast 3 days, and on top of that the hair didn't even come off. Very embarrising considering I was using the roll on on my upper lip. So for 3 or 4 days I looked like I had a cool aide mustache. I then since have gone back to the old stand by of using surgey cream.

I'd been considering purchasing Epil Stop for some time before I finally bought a kit from Target a few months ago. I applied some to my face, and some to a patch on my leg. Immediately, the areas burned, but I left it on for the minimum amount of time recommended. When I washed the areas off, absolutely no hair was removed, though I did have two lovely red burn marks that lasted for weeks. What I actually noticed was that the hairs were...warped...melted...but definitely not removed. I returned the kit to Target, and when I began to explain why I was returning it, the girl finished for me: "burns, doesn't take the hair off, and leaves a rash?" That this product is being sold is cruel and wrong.

I bought the product and followed the directions to the letter, only to find that it burned my skin horribly and left me with an itchy rash for about two weeks.  It removed about 30% of the hair - the rest was skin.

I bought Epil-Stop from a nearby SuperTarget and this stuff is far more dangerous than useful. I used the product one time to try and remove some chest hair. I followed the directions to the mark and I couldn't even leave it on for the recommended time before it started to feel as though I had put hydrochloric acid on my chest. I had to immediately wash it off with cool water and still my chest was red for about an hour afterwards. The makers of this crap deserve to have the pants sued off them. It's the most falsely advertised product I've ever seen (and the most dangerous)!

I bought this product whch my husband and i both used. It was the biggest mistake of my life. It burnt my skin and it did not even remove all the hair!! plus it was not gone any longer than shaving , the only difference was that at least shaving gets rid of all the hair. well on top of that mess it burnt my skin after taking it off my skin felt sore then before i knew it i had little blisters everywhere on my legs. now i have terrible terrible scars left behind and can not even wear shorts!  this product ruined my skin!!

I first heard of Epil Stop from an informercial months ago. Then one day while I was shopping at Target I picked some up, thinking hey why not. Needless to say when I got home I tried this "wonderful invention" to only be very disappointed. After the second try I gave up. Not only did it not work except small spots here and there it left my skin with a red rash. Now the box the box it came in and it's contents sit in my cabinet collecting dust.

I bought this product about a year ago and cannot believe that it's still on the market. Not only that, but you see it everywhere! Like so many others, I too received chemical burns on my upper lip and my calves blistered so badly I couldn't stand to touch them for a week. The biggest mistake was putting it under my arms! It was beyond painful and I was stuck in my house for three days since no way was I going out in public without a deodorant on! It was a complete nightmare! I've always been able to use Nair without a problem. From now on I'm sticking with either Nair or the good old razor method. No one should have to go through that kind of pain just to remove unwanted hair. They need to be stopped before they damage someones body irreparably!

I purchased this product at Target and tried it: worked well on legs, but burned on my chest and stomach. So I guess if you dont have sensitive skin and hair on your legs go for it. Otherwise don't waste your money.

Every other complaint on this site regarding this product is absolutely right!  I picked up some of this useless junk at a drug store several months ago, and despite following instructions, all it did was burn and leave my skin red.  Not a single hair was removed!  I was lucky enough not to have severe burns or lasting problems, but am outraged at the manufacturer's negligence and obvious lack of integrity and disgusted that so many people lured into this scam did suffer so.  For anyone reading this who has not tried the product, PLEASE DON'T!!!!   Save your money, and your skin!

I purchased Epil Stop at a Walgreens in Dallas, TX while there on business. I had seen the infomercial and was interested since I found it on the shelf. I followed the directions and sprayed it on all of my legs and bikini line. Some of the hair seemed to melt, but simply useless. Last night I used the roll on to remove hair from my upper lip. I used it exactly as directed, left it on for about 6 minutes, wiped off. Barley any of the hair was gone and my skin was burning. I then re-applied it for about 5 more minutes and it was burning, so I wiped it off immediately. Most of the hair had appeared to melt off I then used cold water to wash the area, but it was extremely irritated. I was bleeding out of one pore. The skin then began to throb and rise. I realized I had received at least a 1st degree chemical burn. A small blister appeared within an hour. This morning my upper lip was numb, with barley any feeling, red, raised and obviously burned. I am amazed that this product is on the shelves. What Epil Stop is doing I would assume is illegal. They need to be stopped.

I bought epil stop citrus and tried it on two spots on my legs some of the hair came off and there was very little irritation.  The next night i tried it on my chest and stomach i left it on for 12 minutes when i went to take it off i started to feel some burning.  When i finally removed all the cream i was burned very bad and all the hair was not removed.  I immediately hopped in the shower and no amount of cold water helped.  This product is the worst product on the market for hair removal.  I have burns all over my chest and i can barely move without pain.  I hope more people find out about this product and don't buy it.   I also hope everyone who has been hurt can come together and sue the makers of epil stop.

Epil Stop and spray is the worst product i have bought. It is a complete SCAM and doesn't work at all. All it does is burn and rip a layer of skin right off your body. The other thing is that the company claims that the hair will be removed for 6 weeks BULL S***!!!!! it comes back in 4 as soon as the burned skin is healed. I have a severe burn on my neck and wish to find someting that will treat it and possibly nuetralize the acid. NEVER BUY EPIL STOP AND SPRAY. biggest mistake i ever made. If i could i would like to drop a bomb of THIOGLYCOLIC ACID on the epil stop and spray factory! and watch all those scammers burn.

A while ago I ordered the Epil-Stop and Spray in Melon, I'll admit.. The ad got me.  They advertise that you can just spray the liquid on, wait 10 minutes, and wipe off.. and viola, be shave free for six weeks.   Boy, were they wrong.  The moment I sprayed it on my leg, the smell almost knocked me off my seat.  Think about a salon perm type smell, only three times as worse.  For the first five minutes it was fine, but after that.. it started to burn.   I managed to last the full 10 minutes though.  I wiped it off, and to my surprise.. It didn't take ANY hair with it.  Well, maybe one or two, but still.. And it left my leg red.  They advertise their money back guarantee, but fail to tell you how hard it is to get a hold of their customer service.  After four days of calling and writing emails constantly, I finally talked to someone.  They tried to convince me not to send it back, but finally relented.  I sent it back, tracking it the whole way.  After it reached them, it took two months to get my money refunded. So basically they claim it is the clean, easy, fast and painless way to remove hair.. But I must have gotten the burning, messy, smelly, painful product instead.  Stay away at all costs!!!

There is absolutely NO defense for Epil-Stop or the company that makes this piece of crap. Not only does it not work, it burns your skin. They are a New York based company and the attorney general should get a letter from every one of us who have been burned (no pun intended) and ripped off by the liars at IGIA. I would never buy anything from this worthless company because ALL their products are scams. And yes I did everything according to the directions, even though some steps contradicted themselves. IGIA is a SCAM company. EPIL-STOP is a DANGEROUS PRODUCT! Sue me IGIA, I dare you. How about any attorneys out there willing to file a class action lawsuit to put these SOB's out of business?? As for the claims in the defense column, sounds like they were written by some of these scam-holes trying to save a little face. Don't believe it or anything you ever hear from IGIA about ANY of its BS products!!!!  Buyer beware! You have been warned!
