This is a piece of junk. About the only thing it's good for is cooking eggs. Not easy to clean and even using cooking spray, food sticks. I threw it out and will cook the old fashion way, with pots and pans.

I bought the 2 fer deal sometime in April. The first one lasted about 10 uses before the teflon flaked off. I then threw it out since I'm thinking ingesting teflon is not too healthy. The second one lasted about as long, but the red plastic lens cap on the on light popped out. I have always used cooking spray, yet it still made no difference.
If they can fix the teflon problem and not run such a scam on the recipe books, they would truly have a great product. Ripping people off is not a good way to go through life. Let's hope the spokesperson Cathy Mitchell isn't teaching scamming as a virtue to her children.

Buy one get one free....hardly. It was the same price as two when it hit my bank account. Took over 2 weeks to arrive and one doesnt work at all. Can't find a number to call to return and there are no instructions in the box for doing so!
Not at all happy.

Technically, I bought this piece of crap. A friend had forgotten his credit card and wanted to order one, so he did so on one of my cards, and has paid me all that has been billed, something over $150 for one of these pieces of crap. Fortunately, he can well-afford it financially (although apparently many of the others duped cannot)m and admits the amount billed is at least partly his fault. Much comes from the ridiculous charges for the recipe books, not clearly disclosed, which go on and on and on. These are nothing but booklets which are spread out with scant info which could be placed on a sheet of 8 x 11 paper. My friend was unsuccessful in canceling these successfully as he should have been. The bottom line is that these bastards make a mediocre produce (say C-), are adept at disguising s/h and extra charges (get an A+ for their talent here), equally adept at implementing and continuing extractions from credit cards (A+). They get an F in terms of any facility provided to reach CSR's, to obtain an intelligent one if you do, and a system for refund or restitution which is as inept and cumbersome as their counterpart for order processing and charging is silky smooth. There seems to be virtually no offer via infomercial today, whether by phone or internet, which doesn't involve upsells, automated billing whether order intended or not, and add-ons and recurrent billings either obscured or undisclosed in info presented. I will NEVER order ANYTHING as a result of a tv infomercial EVER again!

Buyer's beware!
Bought it on a whim. Tried it, didn't work for me as shown on TV. The cost to return the unit was as much as the refund.
If you return require a receipt. GT Xpress received the returned merchandise on Sept. 26. I didn't see a credit so I called yesterday, Nove.4th, because received additional cookbooks which I did not request and they charged me $13.98.
Today I received 3 emails; the first saying they received the product, the second saying when they received my returned merchandise they would refund me within 30 days and the third email said they received the product.
When I called and complained about being charged for the additional cookbooks which I did not request, I was told I would have to return them in order to get a refund. I figured shipping would cost as much as the refund. When I announced my feeling of being scammed and told her I was going to Blog this, I no longer had to return the cookbooks and they would still offer me a refund.

Received the buy 1 get one free unit, and i love it, but instead of charging me what they said they would they charged me $40.80 for shipping BECAUSE i live in Alaska, i tried talking to customer service, but the asian person hung up on me. Now i'm thoroughly disappointed. and won't recommend this to anyone.

Well I order this product thought it was a good idea but, ALL I received is two cancellation notices, no product. But my credit card was charged all customer service does is tell me to email the emails back to them and they will take care of it. but one problem the emails come back undeliverable. So now I guess I will be going back to my credit card company. I guess this was not a good Idea!!!

it isn't all bad. being a bachelor I thought this would put some variety in my diet, and it did. my problem starts with the net cost of $105. the first one lasted only one week. it took nearly an hour to bake one small potato. this was the third time i used it and the teflon came off. so much for non stick. i continued to try to use it but clean up was a hastle.
I never thought about some things before I ordered this. Like the items needed for the recipies aren't common things. i spent big bucks to get all the ingredients for all the recipies. then i found the recipies were not quick or simple, prep time was very long.
the second one also seemed like everything took forever to cook also. it did last a bit longer though.
clean up is never easy if the bowls overflow.
the thing that irked me most was the high shipping (I ship all over canada and U.S. from nova scotia) and i can ship a truck bumper to Ontario or a gas tank to Florida for less than they charged me to ship that tiny box.
generally speaking i would advise anyone thinking about purchasing this to find out what they do in the event they have one that the teflon peels (how much will it cost to ship back?)
consider the overall cost of the product landed at your door (does it matter if it is 1 or 2?)
consider why you are purchasing this. if it is for fast, easy meals at a reasonable price forget it; it is not as fast or as easy as it looks.

I bought a GTXpress 101 at [] for 34.99. The second time I used it the light cover fell off. But that is the only problem I've had so far. I used it twice today. I made an omlet and hash browns. And a baked potato. It's still working fast and everything is has tasted great. I hope it keeps on working. We have a [] store in the Cincinnati area. They sell all the crap on TV. I had luck with some of it. Try [] they sell a lot of that stuff to. I was going to buy some as Christmas presents, but after reading all the problems, maybe not.

I ordered this product about 2 months ago. Even after I read the online statement that said the shipping costs would be over $30 i accepted the order!
After about a month of using it, the paint in the bottom grill part of the unit started to scrape off after a simple scrubbing. What a cheap, in the long-term, useless product. Do not get taken. Don't buy it.

BUYER BEWARE! I purchased this product at a local retail store. The product has been in my possession for 2 weeks and the Ready Light cover has already fallen off the unit(pins that secure the cover in place cracked). The light bulb slot is now exposed. The GT Express 101 Owners Manual references a one year warranty and provides you with Customer Service Telephone Number. Guess what, I contacted Customer Service and was told that 1) they do not offer replacement parts and 2) units purchased through a retail store would not be replaced. I was instructed to go back to the store I purchased the unit from and basically work it out with them. In my opionion, this policy should be clearly stated in the manual. How many of us have heard their recording while waiting for Customer Service to answer this call may be recorded? Please tell me, for what reason? It appears from all the complaints listed on this site, there is not much customer service being provided.

I fell for this! I bought one for me and the "free" one was for a gift. I plugged mine in, put Pillsbury cinnamon rolls in both cups, turned around to get a plate out of the cupboard, turned back around and smoke was pouring out. The smoke was thick and black -- turning the outside edge of the cooker a nice copper color! Called the company -- told them I wanted to return them. They offered to refund the additional 14.95 I paid for the "free" -- told them no, I wanted all my money back and that I would call my credit card company and tell them. I also stated that there was a federal agency that dealt with recalls for safety issues and I would call them! The person I spoke to then raised the amount they would refund me to 20.00. She finally gave me an authorization number to use to return it.

I purchased the GT Epress for myself and got one for my boys that live out on their own. They use theirs more than I have used mine and the teflon started coming off. My sons are worried that they are going to become sick if they comtinue to use this product. I cant believe that with all of the complaints that I have read on the website that they continue to sell this product. They should at least design a new coating for it! Oh and one moe thing, I don't know if anyone else has had this problem as well. the cook books that they send out to the house what a rip off. You pay $13.96 for 3 small cookbooks with 8 recipes a peice in there. I called and cancelled them, but guess what they still charged my credit card the $13.96 every month and I still dont recieve the cookbooks. Such a scam!

I purchased the gtexpress and it lasted about 2 months and then the inside started peeling off. I called them and they send me another one (I had to pay shipping of course) Well when I received it I did not open it I just put it away until I could get to it. I opened it today and OMG. It was a dirty nasty used one. It had oily food stuck to it brown stuff on the outside of it. I have never been so disgusted in my life. I tried to call them but of course they are not open on weekends So I have to wait till Tuesday since this is a holiday weekend. I went on line hoping to get to chat with someone on their website but no customer service ther until tuesday.
This was just too much.

This isn't that bad. it does work. however if you arent careful, the non stick coating will start coming off, which does not suprise me. My mom and i both have one and we both had the same problem, the gt express logo on the top of the machine started to kind of melt and rub off. If you call and tell them, they will send you a new one, but you have to pay for shipping, as with anything else you buy that is defective.

ok a friend bought gtxpress and they billed him for 2 sets and shiped 2 sets so i bought one from him after he got frustrated trying to contact them. the small one works prety good and im ok with it the big one how ever, first time i used it i heard a lot of poping noises and noticed the paint on the outside where the logo is was bubbling after the second use that section of the top is black and you can acctualy see through the top and see the heating elements glow when its on today was the 3rd and final time ill use it i fear it will catch fire and will probbly throw both out

I am also a victim of GT Xpress cookware. I ordered one around Septembet of 2007, and am still being charged 13.90 to my bank account every month. In addition, they overcharged me when I ordered it. This is disgusting. I am a busy, broke, and hard working graduate student who abides by the law. These people deserve the book thrown at them, hard, for victimizing honest, hard working people. I hate to have to close my bank account and get all new information because of these jerks, but I am unable to trust these people with my info, and thus will have no choice. Also, I'm never buying anything from TV again.
