As with any infomercial, you can't get through the order smoothly. They try to sell you more and more and don't quit. They don't easily accept no from you and the ordering process is ridiculous. I ended up spending $103. I personally don't know if the recipes would be worth the $13.90 a month and think we need a recipe forum. The recipe books are small. I was told that peeling is a result of overheating. You might have to cook your food a little longer than it states at times. The non-stick surface doesn't look too durable but mine is new. I will definitely be careful about overheating it.... be aware that it goes on when you plug it in. Your on & off will be only your cord. Not too sure that I like that. They get you sucked in because of the price they advertise and by the time they sell you recipe books, utensils and charge for shipping, they got you and NO you won't get shipping back if you return it so plan on trying it and keeping it. I think if you use your head during your purchase and know that infomercial purchases are a PAIN, you might be satisfied to have one of these. The unit advertised is pretty small and the portion pockets are small but we are supposed to be eating small frequent meals to eat healthy any way. This product is do-able but yes they do get you for charges. I did get someone on the phone to cancel future shipments and got a cancellation number. Now we will see if they cancel. I will be keeping mine since they are charging for shipping. Also be aware that when you order two.....if you are giving one away, you get only one set of recipe books. Infomercials are a pain to order from....know what you want before you call and be prepared to be on the phone for awhile. I'm sure they use computers so you can't tell them off and curse them for trying to sell you 50 more products. This machine is a piece of cheap junk. The coating peeled off after the first us. Food definitely stick to the surface. I guess that is why you cannot buy it in your local discount store. Not worth you time and money. Dorothy

Unfortunately, I ordered the GT Xpress before I read all the complaints. All of the above complaints are true concerning the peeling of the grills. I had mine one day when it peeled and itty bitty nuts and screws fell from the bottom. I was horrified. I called the Company and told them. They sent me another one. No different from the first. They all peel and could possibly be causing a serious health hazard. I have sent a certified letter to Cathy Mitchell at 360 Interlochen, Broomfield, CO 80021, their official headquarters I am told. I am contacting the BBB and the media, as that is my background. I have taken pictures of these fraudulent grills and sent them to her. This woman, who is a senior citizen, must be stopped. She should be ashamed of herself. Enough is enough.

So I ordered the GT xpress in Dec 2007. I was billed for the payment on my..ummm...Feb mastercard statement? Weird. Also, they had told me on the phone, because I was very skeptical about making this purchase, that I would ONLY be charged $75. 2 gt xpress machines, recipes, and extra FREEBIES. Yea. FREEbies my ass. Anyway, I was billed for $101 and since I wasn't in the country when this bill came I didn't really realize this awful truth until now, when another surprise came on my statement. This month I looked at my bill for April and I had 2 charges I cannot explain. I cannot say for certain that they are related but I have a sneaking suspicion they are. Anyway, I was charged $42 by Telus Mobility in Scarborough (I have never been to that city) and, yes, I am a client of Telus Mobility. I was also charged $20 for that good old GT xpress101. I was in shock since I havent spoken to this company since Dec. I was outraged. So I searched on the internet and I found this site. Too bad I found it AFTER the fact. Great. So I called mastercard and I have to dispute the charges. Did anyone have to do this????? I want to know if it worked out. I called GT and they gave me a tracking number, but of course the post office said it is invalid. The lady who gave it to me said her name was Kate Moore, but she sounded very much like a true phillipino and thats not a very good match, that name. She CLAIMS that the $20 was because I signed up for recipes that come every 2 months. Supposedly they were sent out a couple weeks ago. So they should be here soon. YEa right. I highly doubt there is such a package on the way. So the second time I called back I complained that I was given a false tracking num and the lady says its not a tracking num. She said they can't track any of their packages. I called bullshit on that because a company would have to be stupid not to track their packages...cause any company would want customers to call up and say "so yea I never got that package could you please send a new one" and not be able to determine if they were telling the truth or not??? I told the lady credit card fraud is no joke. I told her I don't know how she lives with herself every day, scamming people and stealing their money. I told her a customer service dept in one country and product delivery from another makes NO SENSE. I told her I will come find the customer service place personally if I have to in order to get my refund. She was not helpful at all and I didn't expect her to be. I was more hoping I might be able to make her feel a little guilty. She seemed speechless. That was good enough for me. I will not stop with this company until I get this money back and then I am cancelling my card and never buying from ANY infomercial again. I dont care if I am dying and the only cure available is only on sale by infomercial. I still won't buy it. I feel for all of you on here. It's unfortunate to learn the hard way, ain't it.

If you go to the web site to order and go back and check your order they will have a quantity of two and the bill is entirely different. What a scam and. This needs to be report to 60 minutes and this woman needs to be held accountable to the thousands of people she is ripping off. Thank God I read the reviews first. She needs to go to prison for this.

My husband ordered and paid for a set of 13 DVD's, Bible stories for the children. Instead they sent 12 VCR tapes. We returned them with a letter, and our contact information on Feb. 13, 2008. Today is April 21, 2008, and we have not heard a word. We will probably not be reimbursed for our losses, I believe my husband paid $100. I strongly advise anyone reading this to NOT deal with this company.

The GT Xpress cooker does not work as fast as the commercials lead you to believe. They take a long, long time to get up to cooking temperature, and by that time, you would have taken out a skillet and cooked it on your conventional oven. Sorry... such a disappointment in this product, which I thought would have "Accelerated" my cooking recipes to give me good, quick results. Now, if you leave the cooker on day and night... the electric bill will horrify you.. if not the fire-hazard you would bring into your kitchen, if you left the cooker on for all-day use. I returned my entire, huge-package and yet to receive my refund. :(

I ordered from this company on 3/17 and received an email saying the product shipped on 3/25/08. As of today, 4/20, I have not received the product. When I phoned their 800 customer service number, I was sent to a recording saying it had been changed. If I wanted new information I would have to call a 900 number and pay $9.99. I used my Discover Card for this purchase and have now placed a "disputed" complaint with them.

I ordered the GT XGAI*XPRESS and now I keep receiving recipes. There really is only so much you can make with this little machine and I want to know how to stop the recipes

I had recently purchased GT Express and returned it after one use. I did get my refund but was shocked to find out that $30 of it was for shipping that they did not refund. I was told that since i received 2 (buy one get one) that i had to pay for 2 shipping. I told customer service that this is absurd. I got the package in one box and it cost me only $12. to send it back to them. I said that they are ripping of people with their false advertising. I was never told when i purchase that i had to pay for 2 shipping or i would have outright turned it down. What a scam!!! I asked for a manager but i was put on hold for 20 minutes, so i hang up and wrote the BBB, to report them.

The non-stick coating pealed off after a week. I guess I did know that the shipping costs would be high and that was a scam. The concept is really not that bad, but the quality of the product is JUNK. It worked good for Chicken breast, but I haven't been ably to make anything tasty in it since. It's really only good if you like the taste of non-stick coating on your food. RIP OFF!

I have no concern about the GT Xpress unit I purchased on []. My concern is that in attempting to find what shipping would be for the infomercial 2 for 1 units on http://www.gtxpress.com/, I found that every time I clicked back to my order (i.e., cart) page, the quantity of one that I had originally entered was increased by one. I finally received a message that only an order of 4 would be accepted; I stopped at 6. In all the hundreds of online purchases I've made, I've never experience anything like this automatic increase in quantity. I wonder if this is an unintentional glitch in the programming or something planned. Could this be the reason so many GT Xpress phone/online buyers are being charged for more units than they thought they were ordering?

Called the 800 number and was greeted by telerep. My initial question involved a billing address for payment, and a different address for shipping. "Sure, no probelm" was the response. After providing the necessary info and card number which would initiate the order, the rep started the canned spiel about other special offers from this company. I interrupted and asked her when she would like the shipping info and she, in a somewhat scolding tone, informed that I should have given her that first. When I explained that the billing info was necessary for her employer to be paid and the order shipped, she transferred the call back to the automated system which let me know my order was no "confirmed" indicating the product would be mailed to the billing address. Called the Customer Service number but they were closed. Called the 800 number, which by the way utilizes phome number recognition, so you will not get a rep to speak with but only the auto system telling you your order is confirmed and how about some of our other fine CRAP!! Called my card company and they "killed" the card and issued a new one...sorry GT Express 101!! Good luck to the many others whose stories I've read below...what a nightmare!

Ordered this a month ago...49.85 taken out of my account but still no product. Wish I had seen all these complaints before I had ordered this. Looks like this will be a costly lesson learned.

I wanted to get a GT Xpress 101. After reading all the rip-off reports I read on this site I decided against it. I wanted to let your readers know that they can purchase from [] the Kitchen Gourmet Omelet Maker and it does the same thing as the GT Express does and it only costs $9.99. I have used it for omelets, sandwiches, pancakes and, basically, the same things you would make with the GT Express with excellent results. I just wanted to share this with all of your readers. Thanks.

The total was supposed to be 76 dollars but it ended up costing me 120 dollars! I have made many attempts to retrieve my refund. They returned half of that amount and promised to return the second half on March 15. It is now March 17 and there is still no refund. In addition, they charged me another 76 dollars ontop of the 120 they already charged. SUCH A SCAM!!!

When the product came I called them immediately. Customer service told me to write refused on the box and send it back which I did. It took 6 months to get my refund back and 10 phone calls. Each time I called they said they (the customer service rep.) would personally make sure I got my refund. I even talked to J.L. the supervisor and it still took 6 months. Then they refused to give me back my shipping & handling. I called the P.O. and was told that because I wrote refused on it I should not have been charged shipping.

I have been seeing the infomercials again recently after not seeing them for a long time, so I guess the complaints will start stacking up again! I was very interested in ordering this product, but then read reviews []. Most were horrible tales of woe. All the glowing reviews had three things in common -- 1) a husband/child who "LOVED" the product, 2) the expressed desire to buy another one or find more recipes to try on this wonderful machine, and 3) each reviewer had only left ONE review on the day they signed up and were never heard from again. Oy! I guess the company is paying people (or maybe the owners are doing it themselves!) to leave raves. I hope people weigh the good versus bad like I did... no way am I going to buy this now! Thanks to all for sharing your experiences!
