I am SO glad to find this site! I have had a similar experience with this company. However, I used my Capital One Credit Card and I have to tell you all, this is one GREAT company. Wait until you hear what they did for me! On October 14, I fell victim to the infomercial for the GT Xpress Cooker. I called the 800 number, got into some kind of loop that I could not get out of. I got frustrated, hung up, and immediately called Capital One to make sure that they did not charge my CC. Five days later this shady company charged my Capital One CC. The next thing I know, there is a package at my door. I called the company and they said to "return it refused" and I would get a full refund. Well...I found out yesterday that the $62.96 charge would only receive a $39.90 credit that I had to pay for the shipping and handling. After explaining to them that I DO NOT have to pay S&H for something that I did not order...and getting nowhere, I hung up and called Capital One. They had the original notes from my call on October 14th in their file. They immediately cancelled my CC, are reissuing me a new card and have turned this over to their fraud department. And the best part: I will not have to pay one cent to this fraudulent company. Of course I have learned a valuable lesson from all of this: NEVER GIVE YOUR CC # TO ANYONE UP FRONT! We all make mistakes, but thanks to Capital One, I will not have to be poorer because of mine! I plan to file a complaint with the FTC...and if any of you are interested...I was given the following address for the GAI*XPRESS cooker company: P.O. Box 7780, Broomfield, CO, 80021. Notice there is no phone number or physical street address to contact this company directly...and their customer service is in the Philippines. Red flag for sure!

I orderd the GT Express one week ago, using the 1-800 number provided in the commercial. They do not tell you that you are being charged 14.95 twice for the free cooker. my account has been charged 83.65 and I have not recieved this "plastic piece of junk" yet. I called my bank for prtection from GT Media after reading all negative reviews on this product and their customer service. If had only known then what I know now, I would have never given them my credit card number. however, there is nothing my bank can do until they try to withdraw more money from my account. then they will dispute it. I regret ordering the GT Express. Companies such as GT Media should be prosocuted for ripping off innocent people like myself and others who have wasted their time and money on this product. Whatever you do:DO NOT ORDER FROM GT MEDIA

My mother had seen these informercials and really really wanted one so she picked up the phone to order one on a Saturday and got into an automated system that asked for her credit card number right away. She gave the information and then when the call went on and on with other offers, she handed me the phone. I realized, because of how things were going, this was a scam and they already had her credit card number. We tried to call customer service but it was not available until Monday. We called her credit card company on Sunday and cancelled the card. On Monday I called GT Express Customer Svc and--thanks to this website--knew they were going to tell me to call back the next day to verify that the order had been cancelled. The first thing I did when I got hold of someone was ask them to repeat their name and to spell it for me. I then demanded that the order be cancelled and used the girl's name at the beginning or end of every sentence. She, of course, told me to call back the next day to verify whether the order was cancelled but I told her I had no reason to call back the next day--that I was cancelling the order "right now" and she had better get it done or the credit card company would get it done for her. I was very assertive. My mother did not get hit with the charges and she did not receive any shipments.

I purchased the GT express by an automated phone call. I wanted the small version (2 for 1 "special". I changed my mind before the purchase was complete (I thought) and even contacted "customer service" within minutes to make sure the order would not be processed. I was told there was no way to cancel the order! When I received the product, this huge box arrived with 2 large units (not 2 for 1) and I was billed $195.10 for these useless items. I sent the item back RETURN TO SENDER, as return shipping was over $45.00. I have not received a refund and they are claiming they never received their product back. Repeated calls to "customer service" have been time-consuming and as worthless as their product. I will, however, not give up until I am issued a refund or this SCAM COMPANY is exposed for the fraud it is. FUTURE CUSTOMERS BEWARE!

My daughter and husband ordered me(2)GT Xpresses for $19.95 each and only $14.95 shipping and handling. They figured $58.14 with taxes included. My daughter got the automated system when ordering and was told to call (800)357-9213 the next business day for the total. The total was $83.65. She tried to cancel the order but was told it had been shipped already. When we received the package we sent it back (unopened) with the mail person delivering it. Our credit card has only been credited $44.85. When I called the dispute dept. of the credit card company they informed me they cannot give us a credit for shipping and handling and to call GT Xpress. I called GT Xpress and they informed me they do not refund shipping and handling either. It is a lose, lose situation for the consumer. You take the product you pay more than advertised, you don't take the product they still get your money. We are out $38.80 for nothing. I have filed an online complaint with the Better Business Bureau, but I am only one person. If everyone would file a complaint with the BBB maybe this company could be shut down.

Oct. 5, 2007, infomercial on the Christian Television Network had a woman, who seemed sincere, advertising the "Heroes of the Bible" videos for chldren. The introductory offer was $19.95 plua S&H for three videos, "The Nativity", "Story of Moses" and "miracles of Jesus" plus a cooklet of childrenn's Bible stories and another item. When I received the order, I had the videos but not the other two items. Packing slip showed listed under the video titles, "literature", with a product number beneath it. When I phoned the GT Xpress number, I was unale to get through all morning because the message said they were doing something and to "call back in 30 minutes", which I did for about four hours.
I telephoned CTN and spoke with the programming person to explain shortage and she was going to check into it. In the afternoon, after several busy signals, I got through to GT Xpress and waited about 8 or more minutes. The customer service rep, "Rachel", was insistent I received exactly what was ordered, only three videos. After several minutes of arguing with her, I informed her I would be contacting FCC and my bank, because (in the meantime) I'd read the many complaints against them on the internet. Told her there better not be anymore charges to my account (concerned they might try shipping remainder of set which they would charge my account two payments of $49 plus each, and I did not order). Didn't seem to bother her. She did wish me a "good day" but her attitude was bad.
This morning I phoned my bank and notified them no charges were to be made on my account by GT Xpress, GT Media Inc nor GT Direct In. I mailed letters to FCC with copies to my bank, CTN and GT Xpress/GT Media Inc/GT Direct Inc. I noticed one complaint showed FCC being contacted, and a couple contactting BBB (could e more, but didn't read all complaints). I believe this group should definitely be put out of business. What good did the BBB fines do when they still are left to scam consumers? The shortage of my order is small compared to the problems of so many others in these complaints, but to me it's the principle of the thing. Now I may request a new credit card to protect myself.

ordered the xpress 101, got automation phone questions for ordering more than they advertised which I said no. they sent everything and instead of 39.95 It was more then advertised for. every thing was sent back. the shipping was about 45 dollars payed by us. we at that time call and told them to take it off the cc and to not sent any thing else and to take us off their list. Now here it is about 2 months later and they have some how used our cc again by sending a few recipe booklets which we did not order or request, this company is a sneak and uses your cc as their own, I advise not to have any deals with them, the books were 13.90, we sent them back and of course we had to pay shipping cost. as of now we have not been able to get ahold of them by phone, either phone is busy or they are gone for the day. this company should be stopped.

I purchased the GT epress 101 with the option of two payments and my credit card was charged $63.00. When I called they told me that the amount was the first installment, and that an additional $19.99 was the next deduction. They also charged me $9.99 for recipe books that were supposed to be included. I found out later that they were part of a recipe club. I ordered from the website, and you did not get an option to review the transaction before placing the order. I found out later that I was charged $15.00 per item. I contacted my credit card company to stop further payments to this company. This is the worst company, and they are thieves.

I ordered this product and it offered the buy one get one free and all these free recipe books and other pieces for only 40 bucks well when i looked at my account I was charged 118.00 and when I called to make the order it was all done by automation, I never talked to a real person the entire time. That should have been my sign to hang up and cancel this order but I didnt and now I am out of 118.00

I am very disappointed with the ordering of the GT Xpress not only did I not receive the product but they have over charged me when I specified during the recorded prompts that i did not wish my credit card to be charged with other products; and i have attempted several times to contact Gt Xpress 101's customer service line (800)357-9213 to cancel my order for a complete refund and all i get is a recording stating that they are closed and their hours of operation in which they dont answer the phone.

My elderly mother ordered this off the TV. Buy one get one free. When she got her charge card they charged her for double sets, the total of $153.50 for a $39.00 offer. Customer service is bad, I talk to John Brandon at 1-800-357-9213. My mother returned all items and got a credit for $89.75 but owes $63.75 in shipping & handling charges. I am trying to get help from someone but just starting to complain about this company GT Media who I think does this.

I ordered the product last saturday and by sunday knew that it was a mistake. I called on Monday and was on hold for more than half an hour. And then the girl said that she could not locate my account and to call the next day. I did, and was told that the product shipped and that I would not receive the money back. I started to complain and she said that could refuse the product and that they would give me a full refund. I'm checking my account tonight and what was supposed to be $71.40 became $76.08. How did I get myself into this. Somebody help me get my money back please.

Call you credit card company NOW! I have refused the monthly cards for 9.95 but after reading the many stories here, I called my cc company and they blocked any further charges to go on my card from this company. Just incase they decide to bill me for extras like they have billed so many others. I purchased the GT express last Sat. It came on Tuesday to my surprise. It was much smaller than I expected and the 14.95 for shipping was PER ITEM. They neglected to tell me that. Almost $3o.oo in shipping! That is a rip off! You can contact them either. I do not like the item after using it. It's a pricy egg maker. Buyer beware!

I order the GT Xpress and was disappointed in the size. The infomerical does not really show the comparison. It stated that it was a buy one get one free... yes Scam.. shipping on the 'Free' one was over $15. They also could not explain why my packing slip has one amount and my Credit Card had a higher amount. So, after reading all the posts in how it happened to a lot of people. I called and told them I only got one. They did answer the phone and respond. Yes I got a Third one.. free. No shipping or handling. So, Go ahead.. call and tell them you only got one!

I was supposed to buy one get one free, said no to all the other stuff. Ya know thinkin we are gettin a fair price. They never take the money out of my account so I thought maybe they screwed up, I didn`t realy want it any way a month later they charge me 143.40 and that don`t sound like what I was nearly supposed to spend. They have sorry customer service and never pick up there phones to boot. 22 minutes was the shortest time I was on hold and said screw it and hung up.

i recently ordered the gt express and on a sat 9/15 and by sun found out it was a scam. I called first thing mon. morning and was told they hadn't received my information yet and to try back tues. morning. then they had informed me that it had already been shipped. i asked why they didnt post anyhting on my account saying i wanted to cancel and would be calling back and the lady told me there was nothing they could do since it had already been shipped and they would be taking the money off that day.i asked if they could freeze the transaction until they received the shipment back(not asking them to totally cancel just to freeze it) and they very rudely said that was not an option. so now i'm probably going to be robbed for 80$ just like everyone else has posted. be very wairy of this company. i think most companies would try to work with you to keep good standing if they are not running a scam. i will NEVER buy from infomercials again. thank you

This company is AWFUL!!! I got my merchandise but said I DO NOT want the receipes!!! Yet, thay keep charging me $13.90. I called the company and was hung up on by the rep "Kim". She was the WORST customer service rep I have ever talked to! She kept saying I ordered these recipes. This was a present and I told her I DID NOT order the reciepes. I have reported this company to the FTC and the Colorado BBB and California BBB. I encourage EVERYONE to report this Company!!!

I called to order my GT Xpress, and was proceeding with my order when the representative began to ask me if I would like to purchase additional offerings (such as the recipe club). I was taking my time considering what I wanted to do and asked her to clarify the offer and its terms. She seemed frustrated and impatient, and at that point I said "I think I'm going to hold off on my order. I don't want to order this product after all." The next thing I know I am no longer with the representative. Rather, I have been transferred to a computer system that tells me "your order has been processed." I call back and of course no one there can assist me. They tell me to call Customer Service, but that they will not have my order in their system for three days. I make the call, and find that they are closed. They were closed that weekend as well. I called very early Monday morning, and was on hold for a *very* long time. When a representative finally picked up they were not willing to assist me in any way - other that to repeat "I'm sorry" which got old real fast. I insisted on speaking with a supervisor, who was just as unwilling to assist me, and to make matters worse she was completely insensitive and inattentive. I called again and spoke with a male who answered the phone. Just as unwilling to assist me. Honestly, they all sound like Asian drones. The call center must be in Asia. He claimed to be the person in charge. Yeah right. Since when are "persons in charge" on the floor as common call center representatives? Not. Very lame. I am so sick of hearing I'm sorry I could scream! This place is a joke. I wish I had found this blog before I called. I could have avoided this mess. I refuse to accept their product, which I very specifically did not order and I will not pay for s&h on 2 units as well. That is just insane. They are just product pushers and their customer service line has absolutely nothing to do with providing service to customers. Do yourself a favor - Stay away from this company!!!!!

I have never been treated so badly by a representative of a company. I ordered the Xpress cooker and was told I would receive another Xpress cooker FREE. A picture with recipes came up and said to receive these FREE recipes click here. I clicked on the FREE (in my world that means no cost at all), and was charged $9.95. The printout showed I was being charged $33.85 for S&H. This really pissed me off!! I called everyday and waited for at least 15 minutes to speak to a rep. Everday a rep told me I would have to call back the next day or possibly the day after that. They claimed to not have my information. I finally spoke to a lady who said her name was Alex Parker and told her I wanted the $9.95 charge for th"FREE RECIPES" removed from my credit card. She told me she couldn't do that, because the items had already been shipped. I asked to speak to her manager many many times, but she refused and even said she did not have a manager. She said something about maybe taking me off the monthly recipe club!! I freaked...I did not join any club and do not want anything to do with their club. I demanded to speak to the manager, or whoever signs her checks, she HUNG UP ON ME!! I turned them in to the BBB in New Jersey only to find out they have had to pay over half a million in fines and promised to stop screwing people out of money. Looks like they lied Big Time. I do not have the cooker yet, and do not want it. I sent two emails to the company (whoever they are) and complained about their high costs and told them not to send this to me. When I found out today they had already sent it, I blew up. I will never buy anything unless I get it at a real store where I can actually see the price!!! This company is crooked and I hope that ugly lady with high cholesterol turns into a blob of grease. She sure enjoy cooking and eating and knows full well everyone is getting the shaft! DO no buy anything from GTXpress !!!!!! They think they own your credit card and will use it just as if their name was on it. STAY AWAY. I am not going to accept the box when it arrives, but I will go as far as I need to to make all my problems with this company PUBLIC if the entire charge is not removed from my account, and their sneaky recipe club is not stopped immediately. This is like a punishment. I've read so many times today about the surface of the cookers peeling off, and that they are very difficult to clean. I'm sure this is just the tip of the iceburg as far as complaints are concerned. What a rip off---I can't believe the rep. refused to let me speak to a manager and slammed the phone down one me!!! Thanks Alex Parker (if that's really your name). Angry CJW
