I ordered these hooks over a year ago. for several months they came as scheduled. Now its been 10 months since I received the last shipment. I continue to be charged every month. I have contacted them by e-mail and phone four times now. Each time they say they will correct the problem. They haven't and I am still being charged. I need help!

I too placed an order after seeing the infomercial. I never received anything, although I was charged right away $31.90. I called and was told that they had a shipping problem and they would send out another shipment. Still nothing, but have gotten another $5.98 charged to my credit card, still not receiving the second "supposedly" shipped order. I spoke to someone who just beat around the bush and kept saying he would have them sent out again. I filed a complaint with the BBB yesterday, as I think that is the ONLY way to get any help! Definitely buy them in your local store, NOT directly from the company unless you want to pay for them over your lifetime and never receive them!

I have yet been able to get one through the wall. Also, it was not made clear that I would receive new hooks every month and be charged 5.98. I called last month to get this cancelled. They said ok but today I received another set. I called and they have refused to reverse the charge. I too will call BBB.

I purchased the product over a year ago after hearing the infomercial. I really like the hooks but have no need for multiple shipments. I contacted the company and cancelled the shipments. They continued to ship. I contacted American Express for help and they reversed the money to me. Well it is now 2 months later and a charge has appeared on my American Express. How do you stop these fraudulent crooks?

4/8/2008 - Heather writes:
I bought them from [] just so I wouldn't end up with any sort of subscription. My complaint was that it is nearly impossible to shove them in the wall. I have had them for about 6 months now and still haven't been able to use them. He made it look so easy.

I ordered the Hercules Hooks from a Infomercial. I received the hooks - along with the leveler. Subsequently I have received a dozen hooks many times - along with a $5.95 charge on my credit card which I had reversed. I received another dozen hooks yesterday. I don't know how to stop this. Their scam is the S&H charges which are ridiculous.

I ordered the hooks off the infomercial a while back. I was told about the lifetime blah blah, "if you need them!" Not about the automatic every few months or so receiving them and being charged. I received my 3rd set of hooks when I became suspicious. Checked my statement, and sure enough, was charged 5.98 whithout me requesting them. I called my bank, and they gave me the phone number to them. I called,,,it was another company, but they said their number was mistakenly used on statements. They gave me the number, which I called. It WAS hercules, and I told them I wanted to cancel,,,no more hooks,,,no more charges on my card. The man I talked to was very courteous and professional, and told me he would take care of it. I will be checking my statement for the next few months!!!! One more set of hooks and one more charge, and I will have to cancel my credit card and all the headaches that go with that! Anyway, here's the number for everyone,,,hopefully this will do the trick for me and everyone else that has been scammed. Julie

Fight back on Hercules Hooks. After ordering the hooks and life time replacements for S&H. Not advised that it means new hooks every two months. Returned new hooks and contacted HH no reponse, shipment still coming. Contacted CC refunded still coming. After reading this site decided to fight back. Do not HH with only get you more junk. Contact the Attorney General of CA it is a little hard to find but they have automatic email you can send them under Public Inquiry Unit. Also contact your state's Attorney General. If enough of us let them know (nicely) that this company is bad and needs their assistance in running their business without scamming the people of the United State. Just complaining on this site is not enough take the time to get to the government people that can do something about our problem with Hercules Hooks. Good luck to all.

I filed a complaint with the BBB. I tried to give them a chance. The hooks are ok. VERY hard to put inside the wall, even sheetrock. I was charged $16.97 AGAIN for no reason. I called to cancel everything and they charged me again. I asked them to refund and they refused saying that I placed another order (why? when I am not happy with the first 10. MIND YOU IT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE 20.) This company needs to be shut down for corrupt selling practices.

my mom ordered them a year ago and for the past three months she has not received the product but they have managed to get thier money out of her account. she is elderly and i feel they took advantage of her.

Received my first order today. The Laser Level is cheap and does not stick to the wall as advertised. I also only received 10 hooks (not 20 total as advertised. Called Customer Service. We'll wait and see what happens I suppose. Customer Service was nice, and picked up quickly. Took 3 weeks to arrive

I unfortunatly ordered Hercules hooks on their web site. I did not get the 10 free as promised. I did, however, somehow, ended up with a "life time supply". For the last 3 months, my debit card has been slammed for $5.98. I do receive the hooks, but I do not find 10 things per month to hang on my walls. I have tried repeatedly to get this stopped. I never get a response to my emails, phone calls are not returned. Short of closing my bank account, how do I get this stopped? Stay away!! If you really want these things...they are available in stores. You can be pretty sure the store will not get into your account. I will never trust Billy Mays again!!

I am still waiting for my $50.00 Hercules Hooks has kept instead of a full refund. Can someone tell me who I can report this to file an official complaint. How many complaints do they have to have in order to get action done? Doris []

I saw the infomercial and attempted to order the Hercules Hooks. Instead of talking to a live person they kept trying to sell me other things which I refused. The long and short of it is that they advertised these hooks hold up to 150 pounds. I tried hanging a mirror and it fell on top of my bed. Luckily it did not break. I tried again after spakeling the wall and the same thing happened. Now I have found out from a consumer agency that they found the ad was deceptive and that it only holds up to about 40 pounds safely. I took the hooks and threw them in the garbage. Lo & behold they started charging me $5.95 each month for something I never even ordered. Calls to this fraudulent company go unanswered. I have disputed these charges to AMEX. What a nightmare.

I ordered the Hercules hooks. I ordered 3 sets accidentally and was charged $114.97. They multiplied their shipping x 3 which came to about $40. The small package should not have cost more than $6.00 USPS. I was not able to confirm the order first or even cancel the order. When it came in, I immediately wrote Refuse on the package and returned it. After complaining to Discover, I only got a credit from Hercules Hooks of $59.95 and they still kept $55.02. What a rip off! I will never, ever use them again and tell everyone what a rip off they are. It should be illegal to charge an enormous amount for shipping. Please pass this information on. Maybe a class action lawsuit would help.

I ordered the hercules hooks and they work. Yes they work ... but how many can you use? I tried to cancel three times. three days ago I received another order. This time when it took money from my account it caused an over draft! My bank paid it to with a $25.00 fee. I am at my wits end!

I too have been scammed by HH. The phone numbers they give are useless. The only way I stopped the process was cancelling my credit card they have on file and getting a new one with the same company. Never again will I buy from an infocommercial on t.v.

I had the same problem, I raised cane! and I didn't send their packages back. I told them I did not order these packages. I will not pay one cent for these items. If you want them back, you must send a postage paid shipping label and I will return the product that you mistakenly shipped to me and charged me for. I said I will have an my attorney contact you from this point forward. Also if you don't send the postage paid shipping label for the return of your items within 30 days, then these packages will be thrown in the trash. Either way I am planning on getting my money back, and I'll probably end up keeping the orders if they don't the postage paid labels for them.

I called to cancel and they are still charging my card. Now they have it so you can not call them unless you are placing and order which is all automated. I won't ever do another automatic shipment again. I had to call my cc to get something done

10/14/2007 - Betty writes:
I, too, continue to receive more hooks after contacting the company to cancel them. Contacting my credit card company is next--although that hasn't worked for others. I just want to protect my good credit rating and stop the hooks.
