I work as a coach for the John Beck Tax Sales system a few years ago. When first hired, I was amazed about some of the promises made to new students who enrolled. Many were told that they would make the enrollment fee back within 30 days if they followed the coach’s instructions. After several months of coaching students, I realized that it is much more difficult to achieve the desired results as promised. Most properties are not very desirable and come with serious title defects, which restrict the re sale values. Most that join do so out of some financial distress, which motivates them to join in the first place. Most aren’t aware of the title issues involved with these types of purchases. You may hear some tout about the money made from purchasing them, but you also have to realize that those people are likely placing those comments to counter the negative postings and are really still working for those associated with the infomercials. I still do coaching for various strategies, and make this one final recommendation to those who read this posting. If you pay anything over $1000 for real estate education and are promisses that a coach is going to assist you in earning large amounts of income, then it is a scam. There is only one desire from these entities, and that is to get your money!

I agree this is a big scam and I hope they are being investigated. I to saw the info on the screen and thought it was a good thing. I was told that I would be charged when and if I sign up with the program. I nevered did but to my suprise I notice a charge of $39.95 on my my debit card. I was never sent a billing statment or any type of notification of the charge. They just started charging me at will, since SEPTEMBER, they are ripping people off. I just cancelled, I will check my statement next month because I don't trust them. If there is any action against John Beck and this company I'm in. Take care everybody and check your account.

I was going to purchase the product but, I came across this site. so, I read all the complaints. I order the product on 2/25/08 and I called to cancel on 2/26/08 and they said it was canceled, Well I called today 2/28/08 to make sure that it was canceled and they had no record of me calling. They sent the order out anyways any my card was charged and they said they will not refund me the shipping. And it will take 4 to 6 weeks for me to receive a credit back. Something needs to be done about this company. To9 many people are getting hurt by this company. And the people that work for them Don't care about us. We as consumer need to stand up for our right!

I notice that John Beck neglects to tell people that many states have 'right of redemption' on tax foreclosed properties. Legally, this means, in those states with 'right of redemption', that those properties sold as tax foreclosures may be redeemed and returned to the owner who experienced the tax foreclosure and they have 24 months after a tax foreclosure and sale to redeem said property, i.e. get their property back. Therefore, anyone purchasing a property via tax foreclosure for the back taxes can and will have to relinquish that property to the former owner, if the former owner pays the taxes within or up to the 24th month. He doesn't directly address this issue on his infomercial, but, perhaps he does in his 'kit'; regardless, someone may buy a property for the back taxes, but in the states with right of redemption, there are still limitations on what a person may do with that property until the two year expiration date. The lack of this information to the public to whom he is trying to sell this program is not in the interest of full disclosure.

We purchased this product in Jan. 2008, like every one else we got had for $105.00, today two different persons contacted my husband the first one went by the name of Bob and the other was Pete. Well luckily I didn't fall into giving them $8000.00+ Bob was the one that set up so called telephone conf. with my husband and I, then 30 -40 min later we received a call from Pete wanting to know how much we had available in our credit cards and that this there was a one time fee of 8,000.00 plus dollars and that it was completely tax refundable. Well after a while of me not biting and told him that we were not going thru with it because I not willing to give him my money he got upset made some dumb remarks and hung up. But you know what I do have some contact # they gave us Bobs # 18772291502 ext 118. When Pete called the house this Nevada # popped up 7028249204 Thank God for privacy manager. I Really hope these # might help every one out.

I to purchased the product for 39.99$ and did not purchase the add on services they were almost requiring one to purchase. After receiving my package I opened it up and had a look at one of the C.D - First the material / quality was anything but convincing - That was it; "back in to the bag" and thought how stupid the purchase had been. With in a few days of receiving the Free and Clear package I received a phone call from a Free and Clear Coach - He was fishing for my credit potential - I made it clear I was not going to commit to any further financial risk. After a week or so I received another call same thing, once again I made my position of not interested clear. A week went by and I received a third (cell phone call) "thats the only # they were given" once again I had to a cert my position of not interested - Mind you there tactic was more aggressive this time - I had to demand and or request to not be contacted any further by Free and Clear - Week or so went by and once again Free and Clear called and once again I requested they no longer contact me as I was not interested. Now the charges were already appearing on my visa stmt - The first thing that alerted me was an e-mail from John Beck Free and Clear notifying me of the charge of service "what service"? - I called my card holder they advised me to contact Free and Clear so I noted there e-mail with cease and desist with there processing of my c.c account and returned to sender. The following month once again I get an e-mail to the same effect and I returned that one with copy attached of cease and desist with the processing of my c.c account. I contacted my card holder again with my complaint. Some where around the five or six month of paying and disputing this charge from John Beck Free and Clear; I printed copies of my e-mail to them "server stamped" like all e-mail and that was it well almost - I had to cancel my card actually Visa did that for me credit back all the charges from my first e-mail to Free and Clear and the file was turned over to there Fraud Department - End of story not sure now I have been receiving strange phone calls from Anchor Collections 757 -321-6278# not sure if it is related but the call only comes in on my cell# and when I Googled the number above wow! what a hit of complaints but then again maybe it was?? not sure what to think but very suspicious - O I did receive a final e-mail from John Beck Free and Clear saying "Thanks a lot Thomas" and now since I have tried to wash my hands from this dirty little transaction they started sending me e-mails from John Fleck - I wonder what accountability they will have. "The Good Lord Knows".

I bought this thinking it would be a good way to make some money. Well, all I did was lose money on the product. The links that were in the few CD's I opened didn't work for my state. Luckily I didn't want any of the extra's that they offered except for paying $10.00 extra for CD's. I was fortunate in being charged $73.00 with $24.00 of that being S&H. I am planning on sending this back ASAP so I guess I'll see if I keep getting charges on my card from there. If there's ever a class action law suit against them.......count me in.

I ordered the john beck free and clear system and did not even have to get past the quick start dvd to realize what a scam this is. As he says in his own DVD, even if the poor soul that is behind on his taxes doesn't pay them, the lender is not going to let whoever paid the back taxes take control of the property for just the back taxes. Mr. Beck himself says as much. The lender is going to pay them and you are not going to get any property unless it is such a piece of junk even the bank doesn't want it. He also doesn't mention that if you end up with one of these junk properties that it is you who will be paying the taxes from then on, unless you can find some other fool to buy it. This man does set a very good example of the rich preying on the poor, and the real way he makes his money is off the interest being charged to the poor soul that can't pay his taxes. People like this need to be exposed for what they really are, scammers, scammers, scammers. I would love to meet Mr. Beck at one of his seminars so I could reveal to the others attending what a scam artist he really is. People like him need to be stopped by someone. It is beyond me how he or anyone working for him can sleep at night knowing they are just taking advantage of people that are in a tight spot. Where have all the consumer advocates gone in this country???

I only lost $140, for program, and "property vault" I was harassed by Josh, who, after finding out how much I had in the bank, came up with a price for "coaching" $3,000 what a coincidence. I told him this was too much for me, a single mom, he startd really talking down to me. After that, told me I should do the first intelligent thing in my life, and sign up -really condescending tone. Advised me on opening lines of credit.I hung up on him! I just bounced back after a divorce, I could have lost everything!! Hugs to all, Dawn

When I ordered from John Beck Free and Clear Real Estate. I received my shipment and my credit card was billed, I then continued to receive a bill on my credit card thereafter. I, too, tried to cancel services per customer service and was put on hold and no one ever answered my phone calls after multiple attempts. I feel this is a scam and would not recommend anyone to order this product.

Ok, like everyone else, yep was stupid and called and ordered. Fortunately for me, they sent it out within a couple days of ordering. I had said NO to every additional charge or add-on. I looked at the invoice and instead of just charging me the $49.95 ($10 additional for CDs), they charged me $199.95 for Property Vault Instructions (what??? I didn't authorize that), $7.99 for VIP Membership (huh?) $19.95 for another DVD on Secrets of Success (ya, again, didn't order or authorize) for a grand total of $305.74 (they also charged me $20.45 for shipping...more than the $15 it was supposed to be). I found this site too late to not order this, but lucky for me, I'm still in the 30 day money back guarantee period. I decided to be proactive so I called AmEx today and told them the situation. They have reversed all the charges and I am faxing them a copy of the return label as proof that I returned the product. I've been getting a lot of calls from an 800 number, but never picked up...whew! Keep your records, keep your receipts, keep copies of everything and call your bank or credit card company immediately! Or you'll end up with a heck of a lot of charges for things you didn't order.

I ordered the John Beck Free and Clear program--I didn't do anything with it but put it in a corner in the computer room. (My girl friend called me and told me it was a scam.) I noticed the John Beck company had started charging my credit card for $39.95. I never authorized this company to charge anything other than the Cd's I requested in the beginning. The second month I noticed another $39.95 charge on my credit card. I tried to email this company but everything comes up as a scam. I notified my credit card company of the fradulant charges to my credit card. Hopefully we can get this resolved.

Well I did not purchase this "product" but I was watching the infomercial and had to google it to see how bad it really was. I want to know how come the tv stations cant be held accountable also. Seems to me that while the scam artist himself is obviously at fault some of these stations that take the stolen money to air the show and scam more people should be held accountable also. I would contact the stations aka FOX and I would throw a fit. BOYCOTT! They have control over programing and the fact that they take these con artist money so they can con more people is pathetic.

I paid $300 for this program thinking I was going to start making some money. But I realized it was a scam the moment I started reviewing the CD's. It didn't provide much information and most links didn't exist. I tried to cancel the order with them but didn't hear from anyone. I don't appreciate being ripped off like that. Something needs to be done about this really soon. This is a serious matter.

What kind of person can hurt people like this? Well I think we can all agree on his name. There is a judgement day and it will not pass him by. Unfortantly, many people have been scamed by this poor excuse for a man. I'm sorry for us all, but especially the one's of us that didn't have the money to lose. Advice! To this date, 02/21/2008, I have not received any books--though I have made ten (10) phone calls to the company (1 818 464 1650. At the initial contact, I was told that they would reduce the amount and would put a rush order for all 5 or 6 books. That was over a month ago. In the last four (4) day I have called and was put on hold from 10 to 35 minutes each time. No one answers the phone. The reference number is []. I have asked that all monies be charges back to my credit card--since I never got the books and the company lied about sending me a rush order. Further, the charges greatly exceeded the 39.95 as advertised on T.V. This is criminal fraud;because of the companies perversion.

I purchased the John Beck Free and Clear Kit on 12/18/07. It was not
what I had expected and I phoned the Co. in an attempt to get a
return authorization. Some time after I had received the package, a man called me (un-solilcited, on behalf of the Co., saying that he was calling to "help me" understand the way the system works. I in-
formed him that this was not what I had wanted, also due to a change in my finances, it had become a burden now and I needed to return
it. All he gave me was the same phone number that is already written on the invoice. I told him about my unproductive attempts at getting through, and he assured me that this was the right# to call. So I resumed my phone attempts, which only resulted in a waste of time and no satisfaction. I only got to listen to a recording over & over again. It is now Feb. 20, 2008, and I am STILL trying to return this product for a refund!I have spent (wasted) more time holding and listening to their assurance that "(my) telephone call is very important to us, and that an associate will be with you as soon as possible". I held on for up to 30 minutes at a time, no human being responded. I kept persisting with my calls, and FINALLY was able to reach an actual person! However, after a few words of conversation, she told me that "their computers are down"...!!!! I am totally fed up and angry and after seeing how many other customers have been through this same mill, I just had to add my experience as well. Today (2/20/08), I called the phone # given by one of persons who has written in, and tried it. As soon as an employee answered, I let her have my entire story in a very angry tone. Nonetheless, she
informed me that this was NOT the right number to call, either! She gave me yet another number: 1-888-461-9029, and said that this was "customer service". I reached only a machine, (what else??!!),
but left a very clear message, and if I do not get any satis-faction, I will call again and tell them that the Better Business
Bureau might be interested in hearing about them! All told, I spent $102.10, not to mention the wasted hours listening to their message fruitlessly! It is truly a shame that so many trusting and decent people should have to go through this, and there ought to be a regulatory agency for these commercials. I have previously bought from TV ads, and learned the hard way that they'll add on some unwanted magazine subscription and even enroll you in another deal you are not interested in (as a"thank you"!), and you can cancel it after 30 days... When you see your checking state-ment, you'll find all kinds of unwanted suprises! CAVEAT EMPTOR! If you DO order from the TV listen VERY carefully to what the person on the other
line is telling you (in such a rapid way that you can barely (keep up), and be prepared to say"NO! I am not interested in any-thing else!" They will persist, so be on guard! The most recent gimmick is to have a machine talking to you and it will try to sell you everything on the planet if you'll let them! There is a tricky way in which they'll say something like " Would you like one, two or three of.... (whatever items you don't want).... and unless you jump right on it and repeatedly say NONE! or press the "0" button, you'll be stuck receiving it. The best thing is: DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THE TV! Often, some of the same products will pop up in a local store and you will be able to buy it with a proper receipt and chance of return. All this aggravation is not worth it! P.S. If I may add a note to that one dear lady who had a large overdraft in her bank account due to being charged by this company (while living only on $600.- per month!): try Social Services and ask for help with paying your utilities, etc. You should also be able to get food stamps or some other assistance in that regard. GOOD LUCK TO YOU ALL!
My husband and I ordered the John Beck system thinking we could put it to use to make some extra income. We had reasonable expectations and weren't expecting to become millionaires overnight. After we received the package and reviewed it, we were unimpressed but thought we'd stay open minded about it. We were then contacted by one of John Beck's "associates" and were asked many personal questions about our finances, credit score, available credit on all our credit cards. This should have been our red flag. We answered the questions honestly when we felt they were appropriate and evasively when we felt they were stepping over the line. This first contact told us we were being selected to help with the "success stories" and that another associate would call us to set everything up. The new guy was full of excitement saying he had already signed 2 other couples up right before us and he was going to offer us the special "mentoring program" (with all sorts of special treatment and one on one sessions with trainers, etc) for the rock bottom price of $9100.00 which roughly translated to the available credit we said we had. This should have been our second red flag. After some high pressure selling and being told we were guaranteed to be successful because we were going to be "spoon-fed" everything so our success story would be an incredible one...we caved and purchased the mentoring program. This was on a Saturday evening. On Sunday morning I decided to look online to see if there were any negative things posted about this program. I became literally sick to my stomach when I found this site. We were told we had 3 days from the day we received our contract to cancel. Our contract was being sent overnight by FedEx but wasn't supposed to arrive until the following Thursday. My husband and I began calling Monday morning to start our cancellation. We couldn't get in touch with the associate who signed us up so we called the customer service number we had and got the ball rolling with this lady. We were then contacted by our signer who was very rude and he told us that we'd be contacted by someone else to finalize our cancellation. This final call was made by an extremely rude man who said he was laughing at us for being so stupid and that he didn't know what to write on his paperwork as to the reason we would cancel. We had many things we would have liked to say in return to this man but we held our tongues because our primary concern was recovering our money. He told us that we could NEVER...EVER join this company again. (We had no problem with that.) We feel very fortunate that we were able to get our money back from these people. We also realized that in playing a part in an orchestrated success story that we would be taking advantage and giving false hopes to people out there who were just like us....wanting to make some extra income for a better life. I hope this will help someone else from making the mistake of trusting John Beck and his team.
