In 2004, my wife and I purchased this "program" from John Beck. Giving them $8,000.00 (against my better judgement) for this "mentoring institute". What a JOKE that was. These mentoring sessions were with some person who sounded like they were reading off of a script. The material they sent contained NO useful information, as was stated by their adds and by the "salesman". After about a month, I contacted them and told them that I did not want their product anymore, and I wanted my money back. After fighting with them for about two (2) months, they credited my credit card back the money, and I sent them their waste of paper back. Now thinking that this was over, now three (3) years later, I get a letter saying that I still owe some $8,000.00 + interest. They are trying to say, we gave you your money back, but that doesn't mean you don't owe us. My response...WHAT! They are trying to collect a debt that does not exsist, they gave me the money back, I sent them their garbage back...what debt. This has been a total nightmare and headache! They totaly mislead people, take their money, deliver NOTHING! Wath out for them, and, John Beck...watch out for me. As it was said in the movie "Rules of Engagement", they have one PI%#*& Off Marine on their butt!

My husband and I ordered the John Becks free and Clear kit. We paid $39.95 plus $14.50 shipping for the kit. After being asked to put over $12,000 dollars on our credit card, we declined the offer. When we bought the free and clear kit we expected to have all the information we needed to get started. So when the Reps wanted us to put over 12 thousand dollars on our credit card, we told them, "No Way". We asked them if they could gaurentee sales to make us money, they just wormed around the question and would not answer. Now after reading the other horror stories about all of this, I have cancelled my credit card. I feel it was the only smart thing to do. It's amazing how deceiving, the offer John Beck was making really is. He totally made it sound like you would get all the information you needed in the kit he advertised on the T.V. It's my opinion that he and his associates are nothing but SCAM artist in the worse way. We were lucky to get out of this with only loosing the $39.95 and the shipping. Which is alot to us. My husband works hard for the money he makes. I feel sad for the people who lost much more. Also I couldn't access any of the web address that were listed in the booklet on my computer. I haven't made it to the C.D.s yet. But I can imagine. I would suggest cancelling your credit cards before he imposes more charges. I hope something can be done legally to stop him from ruining other peoples lives financially. Thank you

I ordered the John Beck product and the first month property vault was free;however it took a month and a half before i received it. I could not get into touch with any customer service..just left messages. Nobody ever returned my call. Finally reaching the corporate office, i was verbally abused because i would not give my credit card number to them for $15,000 without knowing anything about their pro services. I complained higher up and got nothing but lies and more lies and promises. This is a SCAM folks...John Beck is a CROOK. BEWARE

My husband allowed a friend to use our American Express card to order this stupid program - now guess who is getting charged 39.95 a month for the past 3 months - of course, trying to cancel with them is impossible. American Express indicated we would not be responsible for these charges but another one just showed up! Haven't heard back from AmEx yet - put in another inquiry - thinking of cancelling the card and getting a new one before we get charged again next month!

I am writing to inform you everyone of the purchase that I might have made this morning. After watching the advertisement, I was drawn in by $39.95. I thought, "Gee that's a deal!" To my surprise after calling the hotline I'm now finding out $39.95/per month! Now that wasn't the deal!! They also tried to sell you an abundance of other items along with this bogus product. I immediately check my credit card...minutes after I made this telephone transaction. I am going to try to intercept this order through my credit card because this is definitely false advertisement. Most phone orders have a process of cancellation towards the end but not MR. JOHN BECK!!! Do you think this will fly with my credit card company. It's only been about an hour since I've order this product.
I bought the so-called Free & Clear Real Estate "System" thinking that I was going to receive a complete system that was not only going to enlighten me as to ins and outs of tax lien sales but also act as a sort of guide by which to follow. My first impression of the Free & Clear package that I received was not good. The booklets and CDs are just full of poorly written and very general information leaving you with still more questions. Much of the info was full of repetitive statements added over and over as filler. Although there is some educational value in the materials that I bought, I soon realized that this was not any type of "system" and that the so-called "Property Vault" that could be accessed via the Internet, that I believed would have tax lien listings in it, were just lists of lists that you could purchase. A few days after getting the package a got a phone call from a John Beck rep. who talked about setting me up with a specialist who could help me achieve my financial goals. Then I relized that the actual system, if there was one, was something extra that would cost me more money. After talking to the rep and then some clown calling himself director of something for about 30 minutes he finally asked me how serious I was about making big money and I said that I was serious and then he rambled off a lot of fast talk that included something about $8000 up front. When I questioned the $8000 and said that I would not make a decision to hand them over 8 grand on the phone at that moment, he said somewhat rudely, that the program was probably not for me. Then I relied probably not and then hung-up. It's a shame that we allow poeple like John Beck and his associates to suck us in, leave us fealing like we are not getting what we thought we were buying, and then allow them to just continue to do this to hundreds of other poeple every day seemingly without fear of reprocussions.

I ordered and immediately regretted charging product. I attempted to contacted them immediately via telephone at this #818.464.1650 I was told to call the following day. I will try again tomorrow.
I have attempted contacting to cancel order at their email address several times. customerservice@familytvproducts.com is a FAKE! I have attempted several times to cancel the order; using the email address. Each time the email has been rejected. I went as far as to cancel my cc company. I don't want their product.

I bought the program and have not been able to buy any houses free and clear. I believe this is a scam and I paid over 70 dollars when they advertised 39 dollars, but billed me for express shipping without my permission.

So, here's my story. My 16 year-old son decided to purchase this product with my debit card, claiming he was me. Of course when he told me about it i immediatedly started inquiring about this product... I mean hey $54 was for the water bill... Imagine here it is Sunday 16 Sep and I get charged $54 and have tried to call and cancel based upon nothing but this website... I must say I am more than just a little worried reading some of your responses. Personally i didn't want the order placed. I hope they don't give me grief over cancelling my order. I've tried for 3 hours now after he used my card. Of course I haven't gotten any response, and the email that i requested a delivery receipt on did not send one back. I took appropriate actions such as canceling my account, which i was doing anyway. Anyway--Add my family to the list of suckers without a voice i suppose

Odered the product, was nothing that I thought it would be, was only suppose to be $39.95 plus shipping, when they got done they billed me$69.43,and had the nerve to say they will bill me $39.95 a month, after, I did not sign up for that, I only signed up for the books, one time only.

I ordered the John Beck's Free & Clear Real Estate System because I was up very early and came across their informercial and it had been something I was looking to get into after having a conversation with some Real Estate friends of mine, I figured I needed to learn all I can so when I do get started I would be well informed the system ran a cost of $39.95 and with Shipping & Handling of $14.50 I received my package on 8/20/07. I opended up the package all excited and found that the information was nothing more than tip and ideas on how to get started. I read the first page which said to call 1-877-636-1552 ext 300 to receive a free special consultation. I did that and the salesman was asking questions about why I got started and what i was prepared to do what was necessary to make serious money. I was asked if ever invested money in a Real Estate Program before and I told them yes, and he asked what happpended with that I told him the Winning in the Cash Note Business was the name of it and I gave them $12,000.00 and what I got in return was a coloful books and I never made any deals as they had promised i was going to be make. I made it very clear to the guy, that I was disappointed that the lack of information the materials that they sent to me had and the guy said well this is why we are seperating those are serious about their financial freedom and those that are just curious. After about 45 minutes of him talking to me and what I have done and what I am prepared to do, if I am willing to listen and what not I finally said; I dont mean to cut you short but let's get to the chase here I am a direct person and like direct people. He transferred me to another guy who bascially repeated what the other guy said, he then came out with a price of $3,000.00 and I would receive a Personal coach who will guide me and take me through the entire program and make me well over $3,0000.00. It was then that I asked the man what if I dont make the profit you seem so confident about making what then, he was like dont worry about that. I told him I am worried about it I dont want to lose $,3000.00. He then asked me are you ready I said to him I am willing to do this under one condition. If John Beck's Corporation is willing to sign an agreement that if go through their coaching and I do not make the $3,000.00 back that they will give me back the money. The said we cannot do that! I was like then you are not as confifent in your system as you are telling others, any one that cannot stand behind their words. I would like to thank this site, for making me fully aware of the Scam that this system is and hope that many others will look. Their should be a class action law suit filed against John Beck because what he is doing is false advertising and they can only be stopped by everyone bringing it forward. The Attorney General's office in your state will go after them but there must be enough complaints in order for them to be able do something and prevent others from getting scammed.

My husband and I paid $11,700 for the John Beck training program. Based on the infomercials and what my husband and I were told by the salesmen that contacted us, we believed we were going to learn where to find HOUSES that were available through tax sales. All of the literature, CDs, binders, and pamphlets that came with the program show pictures of HOUSES. The postings on www.johnbeckonline.com show pictures of HOUSES and use the word HOUSE(s). Even the welcome letter from John Beck says, "Own a home for just pennies on the dollar!" I told every John Beck staff member and salesman that contacted us that we wanted houses that we could rent out, flip, or even sell to relatives that couldn't afford to buy a home any other way. I have been through the 10 mentoring sessions that were part of the John Beck program. I have searched over 50 county lists of tax deed/lien sales. I have researched hundreds of the properties up for sale. To date, I have only found about 6 properties with a HOUSE and about 4 that had a mobile home on the property. About 99% of the properties up for tax deed sales are BARE LAND, timeshares, or easements and sidewalks for housing tracts. The mentor I had even told me that there are not many HOUSES that come up for tax sales. He was a nice fellow and did his best to train me to buy BARE LAND. I didn't want BARE LAND. To me, a sale starts with the information from the salesperson or in this case the infomercial. The infomercials are misleading to say the least. They are actually FALSE ADVERTISING because they continually emphasize that HOUSES can be purchased. In the true sense of the word, yes a house 'could' be purchased after you searched through hundreds of listings of mostly BARE LAND or timeshares. I checked the [] and read how John Beck had restructured its customer service department. I have been in contact with Ms. Johnson and other John Beck staff members requesting my money back because I feel I was sold one thing and was given another. I bought a program that, according to the infomercials, would teach me how to find HOUSES. After 10 telephone sessions with mentors, I realized that I was not given what I paid for -- I was given access to websites and training to teach me how to find BARE LAND. If I go into a restaurant and order a steak and paid for a steak but was actually given a hamburger, I would not be happy no matter how good the hamburger was. The John Beck customer service department insists that I should be happy with the hamburger. They tell me that I cannot get my money back regardless of the fact that I ordered and paid for something other than what was provided. They said that I benefited from the mentoring sessions (the hamburger). I want my money back - I don't want the hamburger!!!!! After I had already paid $11,700 to John Beck, the first few phone calls were from other departments of the John Beck group trying to get me to pay even more for incorporation services and bookkeeping services. Even the property vault costs $39.95 per month above and beyond the $11,700 we have already paid. I can get the same tax sale lists for the same price John Beck charges from []. The program states that I must buy 1 property and sell it in order to get 50% of my mentoring money back. If I buy 3 properties and sell them, I'll get 100% of my mentoring money back. What is the difference to John Beck. I just want my money back. He already has my $11,700 and won't make a penny more whether or not I buy any property. I have read another person's complaint that they were given 3 days to cancel the program. Just like them, I was sent some books and given some websites to search during those three days. I read the books and did the searching. It didn't make much sense because I hadn't been trained how to use the information. Once the 3 days had passed, our ability to get a refund had also passed. It took several weeks to get my first mentoring session. The first mentor I had was so self absorbed that all he did for the 30 minutes (usually the sessions didn't last that long) was to talk about his success and the success of others. He didn't even teach me how to use the John Beck property vault or inform me that I should attend the seminar in Las Vegas. He would end the sessions by assigning me reading homework from the books - I don't call that mentoring. Those first 4 sessions with him were so bad that I had to negotiate with customer service to get me 4 more sessions with a better mentor. The next fellow was much better. I finally learned how to use the property vault. However, I didn't find out about the seminar dates until late July. Because of scheduling issues and money (I must pay to travel & get a hotel in Las Vegas) I could not schedule the seminar until mid September. The scam here is that they get your money up front, give you three days to get a refund when you don't even know what you've purchased. They delay your mentoring sessions until it is too late to get your money back. Out of frustration, I have researched some property and have even bid using the Bid4Asset method and took off from work to attend one auction in person. The infomercials state that you can be successful at this with little or no money out of your own pocket, that you can do so from your home computer, and you can do it while still keeping your full time job -- This Is Bull! When you pull up the county autions details, most state that you must be present to bid and you must present a cashier's check (not a credit card) in order to bid. For one auction, I drew out $15,000 to attend and bid. For another, I deposited $1,015. The money was returned because I was not the successful bidder. However, my own cash was tied up without earning interest for more than a month each time. Why pay John Beck for what you can do yourself if you learn how. You just need to log onto each county's government website and search for tax sales. Most of the sites will tell you most of what you need to know about the sales and offer links to the tax sale lists. You can do some research from Google or similar programs. But you must still research each property in a BUYER BE WARE sale.

I purchased the john beck cds about a year and a half ago. They contacted me and talked me into giving them 4,000.00 dollars from my debit credit card which I didn't have that much money in my checking account to begin with. They promised I would make it back by the time my credit card was due. They said I was going to be in their special program and someone was going to work with me one on one to make my money back. Someone did contact me and told me to purchase a map and some other things. I went out and purchased what he said. I never hard from him again. I tied calling but got no answer. I left messages that weren't returned. I deceided to cancel. By the time I got a hold of their customer service it was the day after the time to cancel had expired and They said it was to late to return my money. I tied going through my bank and they said they put a stop payment on it. I called their customer service back and they gave me to one of their conselors which didn't help because they said I needed to come up with more money to be able to invest. They had deceived me into thinking I wasn't going to need any more money to be able to make my money back. I was out 4,000.00 which I didn't have to begin with. I haven't been able to recover. I have fallen behing on my bills. I tried calling them several times but they keep giving me the run around. I never got I was promised.

It looks like this caught plenty peoples attention. Well, It caught mines as well. I too ordered the John Beck CD's and was very disappointed to find out that the property vault was not what I expected. Based on the informercial, there are supposed to be 1.8 million properties available to those who purchase the product. The vault only gives information regarding autions taking place. for an additional fee ($10-$70), you can purchase details about the property. So, you pay more money on top of the $39.95/month. What a scam!! I just called and cancelled access to the vault, we'll see what happens!

I purchased this dealer ship for $35 a month. I don't want it and every e-mail is bounced back. All the phone numbers just ring endlessly, except one that has a recording of the problems they are having. I think it awful that they would sell ownerhsip without any real follow through, that affected everyone of us and we should have been told of what was going on. Now money is still being taken out of my account and no one wants to be accountable. All payments should have been stopped from this company's access. Why is the website still running? HELP!!!

Like many people on here I ordered the discs and was not impressed. However what annoyed me most was that I suddenly started getting a monthly charge of $39.95 on my credit card which I hadn't approved. This was apparently for the property vault access. Despite receiving 3 individual confirmations that I had been removed and the charges cancelled - I continued to be debited each month. The result was lengthy correspondence with my bank who obtained refunds. However to this day, despite the cancellation confirmations the debits continue and the only solution is to cancel the credit card and have it replaced with a different number.

He told he would call me back the next day and that did not happen.I spent about $4000.00 with this company. they told me i was selected from oregon to be on the programto tell my story.then i was talking them when they hooked me that you could use other's people money.well what line of b/s then another company called me to set up my busines they wanted another thousand dollars to get me started. so that next day i called my coach back and told him what they told me he said it should have been part of the start up fee that i dont have to pay that. The next day called customer service and tol them what happened and the guy i talked to said he talk to his superviser and call me back. Well he did and said it was not part of it that i would have to pay the 1000.00 dollars to get it started withe tax id number. when they first called on the phone they told me they would help me buy my first peice of property and take there share and give me the rest of the money so i would not lose any money.well iasked my coach if that was true and said yes I called customer back and they said no. Itold them I was very unhappy how they were doing this they need tell people all the hidden coasts so people did not freak out. they offered me three more classes for free but they not back in touch me,and the thing sick is i could have used the money to pay debt not make more.these people need to pay back all the money to every body that orded this bs.
