I ordered the free and clear method just to see what this was about. The infomercial said 39.95. I know you have to add tax and shipping, but I believe 59.95 is a little much. From what I got out of the information you had to actually sign up online for them to start the 30 day trial for the property vault. I was billed 39.95 without kowing it. When I spoke to the unkind lady she stated that they had been sending out postcards. I have never seen a postcard from them! I usually glance at the postcards to see what they are, but I never saw one from them. I told the lady that they should think about sending something else other than a post card, very rudely she commented that she knows what I should do. These people are rude and decieving. That was the first and last infomercial I listen to.

Sylvia and I first heard about John Beck's system through the infomercial one Sunday morning in April. There were people on the show giving testimonials of incredible amounts of money made from tax lien sales. So, I called the number on the screen and ordered the starter kit for what was supposed to be $ 39.95; however, my credit card was charged 58.67. Once I received my package I called the number for a startup specialist and was soon contacted by someone named Tony. He asked me a lot of questions concerning goals and what I wanted out of life and he really played up to my ambitions by telling me I would be a great candidate for John Beck's Elite team or something I don't quite remember. He recommended me to a member of John Beck's team and made him sound very important and told me to make sure I showed enthusiasm so that I would impress this individual and be allowed the opportunity to be mentored by one of their coaches. When I talked to Chris (the important person) he told me and my girlfriend who decided to do this with me that we would be getting expert coaching; step by step instruction; access to John Beck's Property Vault; opportunity to purchase properties for pennies on the dollar and make $6000 average gross on each transaction and the opportunity to get all of our money back if we bought and sold 8 properties from the property vault by the end of our 10 coaching sessions. Now, I have to be honest and say that the thought of making that kind of return on such a minimal investment should have sent some red flags flying however; I let my emotions override my better judgment as I through caution to the wind! Having said that we both charged $4750 to our credit cards and then anxiously waited to hear from our coach. Well, here is where things started to break down before they got started. First, we were told we had 3 days to decide if this was not for us, yet our coaching sessions were not set to begin for 3 weeks. Two, we did not receive step by step expert instruction; instead we received a lot of websites to search for information. Three, our coach knew very limited information about the market we were interested in (California). Four, he was very impatient with us and had a demeaning attitude not to mention he was at least 30 minutes late for every coaching session. Five, we were told by Chris (the member of John Beck's team)that 5 hours a week would be enough to generate the our desired results of 2 to 3 transactions a month, yet we quickly discovered that to be untrue! Six, after having a few coaching sessions with our first coach we realized we had paid an awful lot of money for 30 minutes of information dump and not step by step mentoring and expert coaching. Finally, we became disillusioned with the John Beck Free and Clear System and started to view it with skepticism and as we began to reflect on what had happened we realized that this was not a first reputable company. We had nothing in writing stating what they promised to do with regards to coaching sessions, refund process or complaint procedures. I would tell anyone thinking about this opportunity to beware because you will not get equal value in service from them for the expense. I noticed while reading the various complaints (24 pages) that people are not charged a standard price for the various coaching packages. The price seems to be at the discretion of the sales person and not based on a standardized fee schedule. It is not a fair exchange, in other words, the coaching is not worth what they are charging people!!!

After talking with the student advisor they sai I could start working on my own. No one at the coaching hotline wanted to help. The sid wait until your first coaching session. Everyone I talked to even the student advisor as in such ahurry an seemed as if I was just taking upthere time. They promised me they would not charge my credit card $12,500 until after 3 days. They charged it that same day. All they wat is the money.

I have this "real estate" package. It said 30 days for free for the "property vault" I couldn't find anything understandable or useable to me and so I tried to cancel long before my so-called "FREE TRIAL" was over. I have tried to contact them through their phone # and been on hold for 33 minutes on my cell phone which is costing me, they have charged my account another 39.99 for yet another month. I have tried to e-mail them at the e-mail address they give out on their phone and my e-mail was immediately returned to me and marked as undeliverable. How do I stop them from charging my account again?

I'm a 29 yr old. I'm a new realtor and thinking of different ways to live comfortable. I decided to order John's product on July 24, 2007 after seeing the commercial several times previously. Needless to say, the ordering number was an automated services. It didn't give me an option of where I wanted the product to be shipped. I was really upset about that. It upset me that I could not talk to anyone while ordering b-cuz I had alot of questions about how secure my credit info was. I have received several calls from a "director" who felt that I was important enough to give me a call for my initial call. I was too busy to listen, so asked him to call me back and leave his info on my vm. He did, but something wouldn't let me call him back. I felt bad b-cuz I like to keep my word. I received several calls from him and also from other people from there office. I finally spoke to some one on Fri. Aug. 17,2007, who harrassed me about my credit info. ie.-my limit, balance, APR and how many card do I own. He mentioned that I would use my cards(other people's money) to purchase whatever it is Im supposed to be buying. Anyways, he got really irritated with me b-cuz I wouldn't give him these info the way he thought I should. He reccommended my to the next level to speak to something on Sat. 18, 2007 at 2pm. My phone was off accidently, I think I was being watch over my a higher beign. It is Sun. night, early Mon 12:38, after hoping to find info on John Beck's system, I found complaints. I immediately called Amex and filed an investigation and told them that I will not be authorizing any future charges from John or any affiliates. Millie-GA

I too got scammed when I called to order the free and clear product for $10499, but thanks to this site I cancelled them I week after I received their books. Of course they refused to refund me my money saying I had 3 days to cancell.I was never told anything about 3 days cancellation policy I didn't sign any papers. My question was If I had 30 days to return the $39 cds why is that I had 3 days to cancell a much bigger amount which is not stated anywhere on the package.I notified my credit card company as fraud. I never received any coaching I returned all their books. They agreed to refund $10000 but keep the$499 for shipping and handling. Can you imagine? It cost me $22 to return their package. Mind you I live in LA and their mailing address is also in LA. What a rip off. I got my full refund back after going thru my credit card co.Thanks to google I have my sanity back.

Surprised!!! I was looking for a phone number to complain and accidentally hit upon this website. Should have checked on this before I purchased the package. My story is that I was charge $159 for just the package - $39.95 and a half year membership - $19.95. I was very carefull when ordering over the phone and I am sure I did not make any mistakes. Now the big mistakes seems to be that I should have listened to the guy's sales pitch on TV at all.<br />

Supposedly I ordered this John Beck Free and Clear. When I tried to get on their website I couldn't. I finally reached their customer service department (it literally took me over three months to get through to them) and cancelled whatever it was I supposedly ordered. they said they would reimburse my $39.99 but I was billed way more than that. So as of today this is supposed to be cancelled. We shall see and if I am billed again I will take further action.

First of all I can not believe that John Beck is still in business after everything that I have read...I fortunately had read this information on John Beck and when I returned from vacation I had John Beck's package in my post office box. I called John Beck's customer service department at the post office and they provided me with a RMA number. I wrote the number on the box and sent it back via the post office, with a tracking number. They charged me $72.44 for a product that was suppose to be $39.00???? I still have my receipt :-) Anyway, I have contacted their customer service department 4 times to complain that I have not received my refund on my credit card. I also received a call from a person by the name of Allen stating that he is from John Beck's office and was following up with me to see how I liked the program that I purchased from their infomerial etc. I told him that I sent it back, to put me on his DO NOT CALL LIST. Then I received a vm from Allen last week again and called the number he left and spoke to another person, which I told to put me on their DO NOT CALL LIST and advised them that I still have not received my refund on my credit card. I was told to call customer service that they could not help me. When I called customer service I spoke to a young man that was extremely rude to me and I told him that if I didn't get my refund to my credit card that I will notify my credit card company, an attorney and the media. Apparently they think that you will just get so frustrated that you will forget amount the charge and go on with your live, but not me. I sent the product back, have a receipt from the post office that they sent it to them and I still have not received my refund to my credit card. This has been since May I have been asking for my credit!!!!!!SOMEONE HELP US!!!! This company should not be allowed to do this type of business!

I lost $4360.00 to this company. I could not find any land withiin my bidding power. The "Coaching Classes' did not help. High Powered Telemarketing salesmen guaranteed me some profit and actually made me feel like I could do it, but I could not. One sales rep actually told me that there was a Warranty of Service, that If I did not make a sale in 60 days I could get my money back, but the Coaching person will tell you to wait until the coaching classes are done. Then the original sales rep will told me that there is no such thing as a 'warranty of Service' and that he does not know how to go about getting anyone's money back. I filed a consumer complaint with the State of Utah, Department of Commerce and sent to them the documentation they require, and I also filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau of Utah. The Better Business Bureau of Utah gives them an 'F' rating which is the worse rating a company can get. Furthermore, this company has a Telemarketing License NOT an Real Estate License. This company will get your money and send you on a fishing trip to get it back. This company is a scam and should not be allowed to make info/commericals on televison any more. I pray the the Utah Divison of Consumer Protection together with the Utah Better Business Bureau would help me get my money back.

This guy is definitely a criminal. I was charged $2,320 for freaking and ridiculous mentoring and the sheet doesn't work at all. I was a college student trying to live a better life at least. I order this stupid thing I don't even why I order it. I should have researched before I even do it, I guess I was so excited in becoming debt free. Anyway. They gave me a five weeks mentoring and after that I will be giving a certificate to show that i finish the course, what a crap!!!! after five weeks nothing happened. I cannot even buy a freeking tax sale not to talk of a house. This guy must be on crack and somthing has to be done. But you know what, he is going to reap what he sow. I advice everyone to thoroughly research before buying any products. This bastards are too many these days. Everyone is trying to live a better life for their family and these maniacs are taking advantage. I hope i can receive my $2,320 back....

I bought the product and just happen to live in a state where tax liens are not sold. I have also searched other key states using the program and many of the links are dead. All the research i have done is generated by me. John Beck is robbing the poor, creating empty promises and shattered dreams. John Beck should run for Congress.

Well I'm glad I found this site. I purchased the John Beck product. Then I went through it and quickly realized that the information was barely even half there. The web links were mostly 404 addresses that went no where. Then I tried the vault and it barely gave me any information like nothing is ever even updated. So then I called the number (your supposed to call the number first) and they wanted to know how much credit I could get. So what i really didn't like was when I told them that I had 4,000 dollars credit, They said they would only need 3,295 dollars, to actually give me information where they failed to do in the product. Then when I went through this website I noticed the school program cost for me, is not the same for everyone. Depends on how much credit you have? Well that makes sense, lets not take a certain amount of money lets take most of it, I think thats pretty harsh. P.S. Credit Card Debt is not good for this nation. Thanks, John Beck for helping me max out my credit cards!
